Got my first platinum for the year, it's Borderlands 2. I wanted to make it to 100% as well, however apparently the last DLC "Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary" ist not included in "The Handsome Collection". So... until I feel the mood to pay 15 bucks for a DLC, Borderlands will be stuck at 76% completion rate. I could get more and have finished two DLCs, but I don't see the point in finishing the others for now, if I can't get 100%. 

I will be moving on to Just Dance 2016.

 

I also made some progress in WWE 2k20, couldn't get the Platinum yet. If I get the online part out of the way, I should be able to do it by next week. However the servers are dead... so... we'll see.

 

And sadly I couldn't finish Brawlhalla.

Even though I said I wouldn't play Borderlands 2 anymore, I did and got all DLCs, except the last one.

I'm only missing one Trophy in WWE 2k20, that I'll be able to do in 3 days (PPV trophy, it's timed so I have to wait for the event to start).

I also got some of the easy Just Dance 2016 trophies out of the way and started with the "Beat 100 Challengers". I gotta say it's challenging and fun. I may buy the other versions as well. Currently I'm not sure how to do "The Dynamic Duo" (2 players needed) and "Funky Four" (4 players needed), but I'll figure it out. 

I also started the Last of Us: Remastered. I didn't get a trophy for now. So my current precentage is actually lower. 

Regarding my progress in TLoU

I'm currently playing in normal mode and already having a bit of a hard time tbh.

That's why I'm thinking about doing TLoU later. However I haven't decided yet.

Only a handful of trophies acquired this week, courtesy of Metal Gear Solid 2's VR Missions taking an age to get through, finally managed the platinum though (Metal Gear Ray on extreme mode is no joke), and have moved onto Peace Walker. (29/50 trophies 52%).I estimate this will take me at least a week or 2 to complete.

Update #1

 

Here we go with my first update. I decided to make updates as I go ahead and 100% games. As you guys can see, my Completion Percentage decreased. About a month ago, I was able to get a PS5 BUT, it was for the wrong reasons, to resell it. With the holidays going on, I never posted it and instead I decided to sell my PS4 so I just kept the PS5. I tried Astro that came included with the PS5 and well, as I'm sure you all are aware, percentages on completion go against you once you actually earned a trophy. Despite of that, I was finally able to finish up and 100% Resident Evil 7. It took a month to do because I did not find the motivation to play it at all. Mind you, all I had left were 2 DLCs but I just couldn't. I did not find it enjoyable despite of being able to do it in a few days. Oh well, now that it's outta the way, I definitely feel motivated in tackling other games. I feel like throughout this event, my completion percentage will fluctuate because a lot of my games have not even been started yet but no worries, we are definitely reaching that goal.

Got my goal of 199 plats before Ys IX comes out and hilariously I ended up at 97.99% completion with that.  Way too many 9s involved here when one also includes the fact that I'm sitting at PSN level 499 and just was a tiny bit shy of 98%.  Probably going to be a bit before I have any more trophy progress since I need 15 more playthroughs for the next most likely trophy to get in Sengoku Basara.  While each playthrough is only about 2-3 hours, it's still a hefty chunk of playtime.  Going to keep chipping away at that one until Ys IX comes out but I do want to try and wrap it up before the end of February.

Last year didn't go so well near the end because I tried to play Super Meat Boy on/off for awhile then gave up because it's legitimately way too frustrating for me. So that kinda killed my hopes and dreams for a 100% account and basically all my motivation to even go back and try to complete my other games, cause I know I'd have never hit my goal anyway. I have raised the white flag and accepted that the endgoal of my account will now be 99.something%. cries

 

Anyway, this year I'd like to make it a bit more realistic and cleanup most of my backlog (except for Super Meat Boy). I'll also have to leave some games unfinished because I'm planning to do some game series plat rains (For example this is why my Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 have been left at 1 trophy needed for awhile).

 

So...doing some number crunching and intense calculations, taking into account the 1-trophy-to-completion unfinished games I'll have, I'd like to make my year end goal 98% instead of 100% like last year. We shall be starting at a crisp 93%. 

 

This way it gives me more breathing room to leave some stuff unfinished and work on my plat rain plans. Boo-ya. Very achievable I think.

This is my girst update. I got MW2 plat today. I started it on Friday, so I hadn't started it in 2020. Before finishing MW2, I finished BF1 and LBP3, which I had started in 2020. 

 

So far, my completion percentage has increased around 1,5%. My goal for 2021 is 5%.

If I knew there was an event like this I would of join from the start. I was planning on making my account look better and getting back into trophy hunt again this year. I'm so in I'm going in with a 39.30% completion rate, my goal is to double that. Also wanna get rid of all my F,E, and D ranks have nothing but C's and up.

I really hope you manage to pull this off! That would be amazing! You have 166 games as E and F. That would mean moving a game from say E/F to C or better every 2/3 days. 

 

Looking at your list Frogger Returns, The Sims 4 (You can plat it in an afternoon), Grim Fandango are where I would start. Any of the Telltale games are a good start too. That could be 3 easy S ranked games in a matter of 2 days. 

 

You probably have a plan and as always, take my advice how you would like.

So this week I spent the whole week working on Agarest: Generation of war 2 or as the box says Record of Agarest war 2.  Not a bad game just a little long, but it is a compile hearts game so I knew that going in.  I will do a better review of the game when I finish it.  I didn't want to play any other games this week as starting this game last Sunday dropped my current % down from 74.47% to 73.87% and I want to see how of an increase overall this one new game from my backlog will increase the overall.

That actually isn't as hard as one would think with games that have low average completion and plat/100% rarity.  C rank is usually obtained just a bit below the average completion for a game and for a lot of games, that's going to be between 15-20% which is only about 10 trophies on average (less if the game has some silver and gold available early on).  The bigger issue really is that F ranks don't count against completion until a trophy is earned, so that will result in further drops in completion, probably around 5% in total for earning a trophy in each of them.

Okay week for me with finishing one game and starting a ' new' one sitting on 10% for 8 years.

 

Resistance 3 (PS3)

Yeah, my second finished game this year. Beating the game on super human was not really though (some parts were) so after that run I just had to mop up some open trophies and a new shiny was mine. It took me almost 10 years to finish this one....

 

Shinobodi 2 (PSVita)

Still on my second run (of 4)....game is a bit boring I have to say. But I am hanging in there.

 

Sleeping Dogs (PS3)

Here is another game that is sitting on my list for many years. I once started it and I cannot remember why I didn't finish it. 10% starting completion percentage. To my surprise the game feels pretty good. I like the setting (Hong Kong) and the fighting system. It is GTA but then with a lot of Kung Fu in it! I have no clue how far I am, I just lay the game and mop up an left-over trophies later. But I would I am halfway (I hope) .

 

Star Wars Battlefront II (PS4)

On my last update, I was expecting my copy of Hitman 3 to arrive on release date. 5 days later, the game still hasn't arrived! As frustrating as that is, I decided to still get my Hitman fix by playing 2 for the past few days and clean up some further trophies, of which I've added about 20 more to my collection since Wednesday and increased that completion percentage. Mostly relating to completing mission stories, killing targets in certain ways and getting mastery level 20 on maps, although I also did the sniper assassin maps in multiplayer to earn the relevant trophies for that, as well as the trophy for a) completing 10 contracts and b ) earning the highest score on a contract. It's been good fun as it has not only refreshed my game knowledge for Hitman games, but helped me further appreciate some maps that I initially wasn't so keen on, completing mission stories I hadn't yet done was nice to see the extra content and storylines that I hadn't seen yet.

 

Even if Hitman 3 does arrive later today, I think I will stay with 2 for a while and continue cleanup, as I do know that if I get mastery levels on hitman 2, I will earn the trophy for this on 3 when I do the data transfer.

Cleaned up LEGO Harry Potter yrs 1-4, Until Dawn:Rush of Blood, worms battlegrounds (plat - still need to 100% it) and PS VR Worlds (125th plat finally). I’ve also got started on cleaning up what I can on COD Black Ops Declassified (god knows if I’ll plat it as I can’t stand the controls). Will now clean up some dlc from the evil within and worms battlegrounds and then focus on Batman Arkham knight.

Thats a pretty substantial list, and achievable too.

Some options to boost it:

Frogger Returns - 20 mins to finish.

Sound Shapes - A couple of attempts at the Death Runs will take about an hour or so. The other trophies can be done in 20 seconds each.

Heavy Rain - One playthrough will get that to C ranking in about 8-10 hours.

The Sims 4 - There's a really good guide for it here and can be done in a day.

Fullblast - An hour tops to finish it.

36 Fragments of Midnight - I see 3 stacks and they can all be done in half an hour each. A little bit of patience with each one and they'll all be done.

Grim Fandango - As long as you play with Tank Controls, there is a guide to complete this in an afternoon.

All Telltale games are easy to finish in a couple of sessions about 2 hours per episode. 

 

You also have a lot of games I really enjoy, like the Bioshock series, the Dead Space series, the Uncharted series, Horizon Zero Dawn, Darksiders etc, the list goes on.

Time for another progress update, this week was productive!

Hitman 2

I went ahead and finished up my work on hitman 2, ending up with a 58% completion on the base trophy list and 100% on the additional expansion due to not having the Hitman 1 levels. I got every trophy concerning the individual Hitman 2 levels though!

 

Saints Row 4

So years ago I gave up in this due to "Where's my cape?" Glitching itself, meaning I had to replay the entire game. Due to this i also wasn't motivated to get one of the dlc trophies but this last week I went back and finally got these 2 trophies, obtaining the platinum trophy and 100% completion

 

Runner 2

I was always kinda iffy about doing thia one due to having to master the bullseye target at the end of each level and difficulty not stacking but after a few days of full on work, I have achieved 100% completion in this game too!

 

This week's expectations

Frankly, I can't tell. I might play some red dead redemption 2 but with the upcoming release of cyber shadow, mario 3d world and the re zero game, I might end up off ps4 for a while.

Quick update and recap of the past week..

 

Nioh

Played this one last Monday night and unlocked a quick trophy but really need to keep progressing the story. Didn't play it since then as was distracted with a few other games. Hoping to make more progress on it this week.

 

The Grand Tour Game

I'm still working my way through the episodes on Amazon Prime and prefer to watch them on TV before playing though them on the game. It is slow going as I don't watch much TV other than a ton of sports these days. I did manage to knock out a few Gold medals and even a trophy this week though. I'll likely spread it out and aim for wrapping this one up by the end of the year. It should be more than doable then.

 

The Division 2

Spent the bulk of my time here this week as was working towards the manhunt and trying out some new builds. No progress towards backlog trophies but I cant help come back to this game as its just fun to play, especially with friends. Likely I'll sink a ton more hours into this one before the next one drops.

Ghost of Tsushima

Lots of in-game progress but didn't quite manifest itself in trophies this week.  That said, I should get a large trophy dump as I wrap that one up this this week. Hit Act III yesterday evening.  Fast travel is currently locked for the lower regions, so I'm mainlining the story until that opens back up.  I should have this one completed this week.  

 

Hitman 

Finished Sapienza DLC this week.  Put a pin in this one while I focus on Ghost of Tsushima base game.

Update 3: (18-24 January)

 

As I Played some Visual Novels and some other Easy Plat games my completion went up 0,41%.

I Earned 158 Trophies (7 Platium, 64 Gold, 55 Silver, 32 Bronze) in 11 Games this week.
Chickens On The Road, Road Bustle, The Language of Love, Strawberry Vinegar, Syrup and the Ultimate Sweet, Fractured Minds, Memory Lane and Loot Hero DX were completed this week.
Hitman 3 was started.

Thanks idk I really haven't thought about it I just thought I'll start with what I can 100% the fastest. I just started started with the Ps Vita since I can earn trophies at work ?

Thanks for the advice. Yeah some games I got burnt out since I would force myself to platinum them and some I got to rebuy. So far I've been 100% what I think I can but I'm gonna take y'all advice and look into some guides and threads.

Started Jedi fallen order and ended the week at 15%. This Event motivated me to finally get back round to finishing off some of the FIFA 19 trophies, Took way to long trying to do some of the harder Skill games, realized why I gave up and then finally got lucky. Think I will focus on getting these 2 finished before moving back into some others in the back log. 

 

Starting Percentage = 73.04%

Week end = 73.58%

MASSIVE UPDATE ALERT!!

 

I finally got 100% on Sparkle 2!! (Don't all cheer at once).

What a weight off my shoulders. Initially it was fun, but then having to do the other modes, using the same levels made it incredibly repetitive. The game just dragged... and dragged... then a bit more... then some more dragging.

BUT, it's now at 100% making absolutely ZERO difference to my overall PSN Completion Rate... dammit.

 

On a small side note.

Just also platinumed Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. Was nice returning back to that story, there was extra or different trophies thrown in for good measure too. (Made an all in one collectable video guide too that I'm in the processing of editing. Shameless self promotion, I know).

Now: 55.59%

 

Got a few last trophies on Apex Legends, that I'm going to go back and finish. That'll hopefully be my next 100%
