It's pretty short, probably the shortest racer I've played. The thing is whilst most of the game is quite easy, there a few events that are insanely difficult & I don't really know how I did the last one. The game is all about maintaining speed through the use of boost that is converted via your ship shields & boost pads that are plentiful. There are also many gates that you can go into that will take your speed away & this can be really annoying especially if on a good run. There isn't any rubber banding with the AI & whilst most of the time not having rubber banding is a good thing, it's not on a game like this since the AI can get ahead whilst racing to perfection. The game requires it to be mastered eventually for the hardest events, which are a hotlap & the final boss race. The game also looks a lot better than it does in the videos just to mention lol. This is one of my attempts on the hotlap, which is the hardest thing in the game. I almost got it on this run & it was a pretty good one, but as you can see I made a mistake right at the finish. Reveal hidden contents This is the successful run that hardly anyone out of a few thousand were able to do. You need to be very close to the world record to do this. The main thing is to really conserve your boost & only use it at the right time whilst trying to get through the gates perfectly. Reveal hidden contents This is the final boss race & I don't really know how I did it except for getting really lucky on it. You just have to hit every boost pad you can & avoid the gates, although I didn't manage to do this consistently. I got really lucky with the gates on the last part so this is one is definitely tough. Reveal hidden contents I was able to also get a world record on the first lap in the videos as a nice bonus. This is how you grind XP when everything else in the game is done & it's the fastest way to grind XP in general. It was nice to get this world record lap considering a few thousand people played this. Reveal hidden contents The game overall was alright & as I mentioned earlier it looks a bit better than the videos show. If anyone does game this in the future then I hope this will be of some help, otherwise I'm happy to help out although a few people on this site have already given some great advice. Oh, you have got to slow down. You are getting ppl so fired up! Do it for your country!!!!!!!!

Honor_Hand
Nice work on Radial-G. I kinda got vibes from F-Zero and WipEout by looking at its gameplay. I might pick this one up if I spot it during a sale. Also, I probably forgot to say it before, but your checklist here is responsible for making me add a bunch of racing games to my wishlist that I was not aware of before, lol.
Arcesius
Talk about an obscure racer ? Congrats on finishing, and your #1 fastest achiever spot! Luckily you mentioned that the game looks better than shown in the videos.. I was wondering if this was an old PS3 game or so... ?
Shrooba
Another 100%, and the fastest completion! Nice work man, you're on fire! When you mentioned maintaining speed via your boosts, it reminded me a ton of CTR. Interestingly enough, the cylindrical track design reminds me of Sonic Lost World, a platforming game of all things! ? It's cool to see how different genres subconsciously resonate similar ideas, even though they can be portrayed through different mediums.

Yeah it seemed similar & I waited for it to go on sale for a long time but it didn't ever seem to. I'm not sure if it will go on sale though, maybe one day but was worth trying out. Oh I remember you got quite a few games recently but yeah I've found it interesting to try out games that I wouldn't normally try out. Yeah you have to pretty much maintain as much speed as you can throughout & yeah it was interesting the way the game was made around that. That's an interesting point you make.
Popular Post Destructor-8
Lightfield (Tier 3) Community rating - N/A Personal rating 7.5 Enjoyment - 9/10 This game was absolutely brilliant with an interesting concept for an indie style futuristic racing game. It's unique in that it's quite artistic & not really like anything I've ever played before. The game is omni-directional meaning that you can fly your ship in any direction in order to get the fastest time possible so the route you take is very important. The speed you go is dependant on how often you can stick to surfaces whilst performing jumps or tricks when required to snap between each one. The most efficient way to play the game is to perform a snap when jumping from surface to surface, which will give you a speed boost when jumping or landing wherever possible. It took awhile to get used to at first but once used to it I found it quite an enjoyable game to play since it was based on essentially wall running your way through a track as fast as possible, whilst not staying in the air too long. There's a few time trials that require you to beat all the pro times & whilst a few didn't take too long, there are a few tracks that are quite complex that make it quite difficult to know your sense of direction. I'll post this video for anyone as whatever I did in the video was enough to get the trophy requirement. Spoiler I'll put all the pro time trials here as there weren't that many in the game. The one I recommend to watch is the final one as that is the one that decided the overall difficulty as it requires you to get a high world ranking in order to make the time. The one thing it seemed most similar to was something like Beat Zico as whilst that has a tight time, this was much more skill based & difficult to pull off. The other difference is that Beat Zico doesn't require anywhere as much practice to get consistent at & it seemed that this had an extremely tight time that wasn't expected. The fact you will naturally get a high world ranking also shows that it seems not too many have been able to do it. It was pretty fun to go for overall, although if you don't keep your sense of direction then it's over. Spoiler I really enjoyed this game for what it was especially as there was a good challenge that came with it. It would be cool to see more stuff like this as the concept is very unique & fun to play. This is one of the best indie racing games that I've played. Popular Post Destructor-8
I'll just put an update here as I've been clearing a few games up to get a few out the way, so I think this week I'll start the next game I have to complete then review it before I do some quick games before my 100th Platinum that is ready to be completed. I think after my 100th Platinum I'll try to do GT5 Suzuka then Dirt Rally 2.0 Flatout back to back & maybe get the last of my GT Sport wins around the same time, although it depends if there's a good week for races that I'll enjoy so that could change. I'm just gonna clear up some of GT Sport over the next few days before I complete some games but I've decided to do GT5 Suzuka first since I should get that done. I haven't tried any other special events yet though so I might do those after depending how long those take. I've been told that some of the other special events are pretty tough so I could do those as well? I'm interested in what those will be like. I'm wondering how many would I be looking at that could take a bit of time? I'll get back to Dirt Rally 2.0 Flatout after as that's going to take a lot longer to get through. That shit is tough lol. Usually there's a trend of GT games shutting down around half a year when a new release comes out, such as GT5 and GT6, so if GT7 comes out in March, then it could theoretically potentially shut down around August-October 2022. It's not confirmed of course, but it's better to be safe when it comes to online stuff. You've got plenty of the wins done and the 65 poles as well, I'm very confident you'll get it done mate. ? Honor_Hand
Hey man, good luck with Suzuka on GT5. I know that you'll have that one mastered in no time with that skill you have. As for the other special events in GT5, most of them are pretty tame in comparison to the Red Bull X Challenge. As @barra333 said above, the ones that stick out the most in terms of difficulty are the Grand Tour and AMG events. And even then, it's only a couple of the races there that are particularly tricky, like the Eiger Nordwand event with the Alfa Romeo, the Toscana tarmac event on the Lamborghini; and in the case of the AMG event, the full track time trial on the Nürburgring under wet conditions with the Mercedes SLS. But again, they aren't that bad. I remember struggling a bit with some of the NASCAR races too but everything else shouldn't pose much of a threat for you. Gran Turismo Sport, you guys just reminded me of that one... Shit, I hate games with heavy online trophies... ?
barra333
The Tucsan Grand Tour event sticks in my mind for being the toughest non-Vettel event. The Nurburgring ones were relatively easy IF you know the Nurburgring well. If you don't know it well, then they would be quite difficult.

Yeah I've been on it this week & got quite a few in the last few days. I want to get it out the way as it's one of the ones I haven't got much to do in except the grind lol. Yeah I will make sure to do that. I think I will do the grind after Flatout since that will take a lot to get through so it'll be something to just play after. I will be getting back to Flatout soon after a few more things are done. On 01/10/2021 at 5:32 PM, Honor_Hand said: Hey man, good luck with Suzuka on GT5. Yeah, I know how I'm going to go into it as the muscle memory is there now with the car. I think having spent so much time on the other one along with the muscle memory that it could be done much faster, however I'm going to assume it will still take a lot. I have reflexes that are much faster than required so it won't take too long to get used to again. I now know the reflexes that I have will be more than enough to get it done as when I started I found the car easier to use than I expected. Yeah GT Sport is a lot of effort even more so than Trackmania now I think of it. I know Trackmania is harder & I'm quite still quite proud of it but GT Sport takes a lot more to get through so I think I'll be more proud of this one. I don't need too much more in this game. Popular Post Destructor-8
Gran Turismo Sport (Tier 2) Community rating - 9/10 Personal rating 8.5/10 Enjoyment - 9.5/10 I'm gonna start off first by saying that this game is absolutely fantastic & is still one of the best racing games in recent times. The game is currently the go to game for online racing & has a huge player base of all kinds of skill levels whether you are a casual player, racing veteran or a FIA World Series player competing in tournaments. The majority of your time will be spent in online races as you need a lot to finish this game although there is a huge grind for the level trophies that will remain afterwards. Now I just wanted to quickly say that I have already rated this game previously as I had the majority of it done but I went back this week to finish off what I needed so all that remains is the grind that I will continue at a later point in time. The difficulty of this game is entirely based on the wins needed & will vary a lot depending on your experience with racing games, general skill level with sims, set pole times & the players that you come up against. I have rated this game overall very high as not only does it take quite a lot of skill in general to get the wins but it also takes a huge amount of effort to get through this game & there aren't many others that aren't even close to this one based on what is required to do. There are always three different races up in which you can compete in for an entire week up until the weekly reset that is always at the start of the week. The weekly races will then change to different ones & these changes includes different tracks, layouts, length of race, car category, car restrictions, tire options, fuel usage, balance of performance & quite a few others. The race categories are split into three types that are Daily Race A, Race B or Race C & depending on which one you choose will determine the quality of competition & race complexity. It's usually advised to stick with Race A most of the time since this one will usually restrict you to using an easier car on a very simple track that is fast to learn & easy to get used to. There will be some weeks where Race B might be a good option however this usually will be determined on the car you use more than the track since a 4WD or FWD will be manageable whereas a RWD is a lot more difficult to control, so some weeks will be worth it & others not so much. I highly advise against Race C since that is where things get a lot more competitive since the races are longer & the cars here usually require a higher level of skill to manage in general. The rank system is quite mixed up since sometimes you will get really fast players regardless of the rank although the higher you are the more this will change. The system most of the time does work well & can either work in your favour or go heavily against you. The most important thing without a doubt is your pole time since if yours is fast & you can consistently be within a second of it then most players will not be able to keep up as long as it's a clean race. It's definitely worth focusing on the pole first by spending time getting used to the car, learning the track, the optimal racing line, finding the best braking zones, knowing the best places to exit corners & pushing the track limits as much as possible. The wins can come quite fast if you are able to get within a second of the fastest set time of that week & by being as consistent as possible during the race. It's generally a fun experience when trying to just get better whilst learning what to do & when to do something. It's really useful knowing when to adapt during a race which can be extremely rewarding, especially when a manoeuvre is correctly done. The wins usually take awhile but once one comes then it's just a matter of time. I'll post some videos below of some of the wins that I had & some extra races that I took part in. I just want to give a quick shout out to both @stpatty & @barra333 since both respectively either finished the game or got the wins done last week. It's also been really good to chat to both about this game over time plus it's been great to also get advice here & there, especially since both of you are much better than I am on this game. The first set of videos here aren't online based but I thought it was worth putting both here. The first one is a cool drift event that I did since I needed a lot of drift points & I thought this was the most efficient place to consistently get points. The next one is the final circuit experience that I needed & whilst it's not the hardest thing to do, I'm quite surprised that it isn't mentioned more. It mainly requires good track knowledge so I'm sure others found it easier but it's definitely the most challenging thing in the game except for the wins. It didn't take too many attempts but I think it's worth a mention. I spoke a bit to you @barra333 about this one. Spoiler This is the Drift event I used for the points. This is the last Circuit Experience that I needed. The next few videos are where the majority of the wins came from since both cars were quite easy to use & the tracks were pretty good in general. The first one is my qualifying time that I set where I was on pole for a lot of that week. The video after was my most dominant win & was a pretty comfortable race overall. The last few were another decent week. Spoiler This is the qualifying time where I was on pole a lot during that week. This was my most dominant win overall & was during a fun week. This was one of the wins that I had. This was another win that I had. This was yet another win that I had. I also have the last of my wins that I needed so I'll tag @Shrooba & @KindaSabbath for this one as I'm sure you'll like it. I'm glad that it was a clean race as well since I had so many shitty races on this track so it was nice to finally have a clean one. Spoiler The final win I needed. I might as well put a few other races that I took part in as I needed quite a few races after. I'll tag you @stpatty for these since it was fun & even though I didn't do amazing in these races, it was pretty enjoyable anyway. I like this track a lot more than I used to so it was good fun getting the last races that I needed. Spoiler Here's one race. Here's another race. Here's yet another race. It's overall a really brilliant game & I'm glad I gave this one a go as it's one of the best sim racing games out there. It requires a lot of effort & is one of the most impressive racing games to have finished. I still have a way to go before I'm completely finished with the game but I'll come back to get it finally done. I'm going to try to go for Armored Core: Verdict Day quite soon @CelestialRequiem & @Deadly_Ha_Ha so I will try to get that game sometime. It would be amazing to hopefully complete Armored Core: Verdict Day & it sounds quite hard as you said so I'll see how I go on it. Yeah it's probably the best one to get into & go for especially at the moment since it's still the most popular one by quite a way. The quality of the game along with the ease of getting into it makes it the best all round. Yeah thanks for that as I've been thinking of doing it more since it was mentioned recently & since Armored Core: Verdict Day is the only one currently possible, it would be nice to finish at least one of the games. I hope there is another one eventually as I think you both said that there could be another. I think this is the longest there hasn't been a new game since Armored Core: Verdict Day was the last one that came out. On 11/10/2021 at 9:17 PM, Eqill5 said: Congrats on the wins! I'm glad I came back to it as I've made progress on many games but decided that I need to start finishing some especially the harder ones that I'm part of the way through including this one. I'm usually not into big online focused games however since the game itself is fantastic & handles really well, it was well worth going for. It's definitely one of the best racers in recent times. I haven't been playing sims for too long but by playing these you really do develop skill at a much faster rate overall. I always used to think that sims were not fun as racing games since I used to only play arcade racers plus those are generally easier to get into & fun all the time. The thing is though is that the reward is much higher after enough time has been put in to get better & that isn't always the case with all arcade racers except for some here & there. Yes that first part of the race always decided it most of the time & it can either go for or against you. Thanks again, I will come back & finish it off once I finish Dirt Rally 2.0 off assuming I can get through that one. I think Dirt Rally 2.0 is the only one currently that I'm still hoping that I can eventually do. I'm glad that game is as good as it is lol. That is the only game where I'm yet to do the hardest part of the game. Edited October 27, 2021 by Destructor-8
Deadly_Ha_Ha
I'll mirror CR's sentiments that I think this is a great time to go for the plat because when the servers get announced to be closing you will have a more difficult time getting the plat. The more players that are active the more difficult it'll be to do sorties and fight World Bosses. CR and I will be working to get the guide out ASAP and are also here to offer you or anyone else help as needed. It's a terrific game and I'd sooner see it get additional appreciation

stpatty
I saw you get motivated to get GT Sport done with all the trophies you were getting in it. I'm quite late on this but yeah I think a seeing a few of you guys finish it off helped with the motivation & I just went for it that week. I'll be coming back to it soon to get the rest done although it will take quite awhile. I saw some of your times on it & you have some pretty insane times but I'm not really surprised since you are a high level player on the game. It's always nice to go back for improvement though so I expect it'd be pretty fun. I'll be doing an update here now.

barra333
Wow! Some serious chunks of time off a lot of those records. I would have to assume that some of the previous times were scruffy laps just good enough for gold that you could have improved at the time? I know I had off-track excursions and still got gold on some mission challenges.
Popular Post Destructor-8
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered (Tier 4) Community rating - 6/10 Personal rating 6/10 Enjoyment - 9/10 This is my 100th Platinum that I came back to finish but wanted to give a bit of a write up since it's a milestone that I wanted to do. I was trying to decide for quite awhile what game I wanted this milestone to be & since Burnout Paradise was my very first I went with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered due to it's similarity. The very first game I played when trophies were released was Burnout Paradise & I played that game so much that I consider it one of my favourite games of all time. I haven't played many racing games since that had everything that game did & even though I did do the recent one awhile ago, I had already completed every other racing game that was similar to it. The only other ones that I thought about were Assetto Corsa or GT Sport but due to my interests I thought it was right that this was the 100th Platinum instead of those games. It's going to be a long time until I get through Assetto Corsa & since I hope to do it multiple times, it's going to be a big time requirement. The same thing goes for GT Sport since I have quite a way to go to finish that off & I would like to get quite a few games done in the meantime. I think Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is a brilliant game that offers really easy to play & fun gameplay as well as a decent challenge at times. There are many events throughout the game in either the racer career or cop career that are really fun whilst other can be either quite challenging at first or extremely annoying to do. I did find most events took very few attempts to do except for a few in the racer career that do have some pretty tight times in general. This is definitely the most enjoyable part of the game & is the closest representation to what these racers used to be like. The most annoying part of the game is the cop career & I got pissed off quite a bit with this part of the game since at times there is not really much you can do since there's a bit of luck needed at times. It's not a huge amount of luck in comparison with other games but just about enough where it does get a bit annoying at times. It's not the hardest game to finish but not exactly the easiest game at the same time & I think it's definitely more challenging than most racers out there. This was the final event in the game that I came back to in order to finish it off. It's a pretty long race & was the perfect way to finish the game off. I was surprised that I didn't crash in this event so I'm happy with that although it isn't best time either but it was nice to just be able to do it for fun. Spoiler Final Event - Seacrest Tour I'll put a few of my videos here of what I thought were the more notable events in the game. I think the first few of these had some pretty tight times & took quite a few attempts to get done. These were a pretty good challenge & the best recommendation for these is to use the handbrake rather than the brake itself when going into turns since you want to keep as much speed as possible. I've put a few more videos that were quite enjoyable so I might as well put these here too. Spoiler Racer Career The Ultimate Road Car Extreme Truth Rocket Science Timed Machine Bull Run One of Five Spirit of Performance Wild Ride Cop Career Charged Attack Dust Storm Any Means Necessary Xenon Racer (Bonus game) I also finished Xenon Racer earlier this week & I actually recommend it to anyone who is looking for an easy racing game that I found quite fun. I did the game twice in fact since I wanted to get a fast time on the game although I realised I probably didn't need to since it's quite an easy game to get into. I found the best way to play this game is to focus on the speed / drift stats since you want to go fast whenever possible & get around corners with as much ease as possible. I'll put my video here of the last event in the game that at first took a few tries but is quite easy with the right car. I went back to this event to get a pretty fast time. Spoiler WPLA Final - Gold I also have a few videos of some of the time trials in the game. The first one is the one that I did last to finish Xenon Racer again. The other ones are the only time trials in the game that aren't exactly easy although not very hard at the same time. I think one of these has a tight time whilst the other is a long track. Spoiler Time Trial - Cote D'Azur New 500 R Time Trial - Tokyo Skyscrapers Nevada Red Rock Canyon What I'm doing next I'll be going back to do GT5 Vettel Suzuka next so I'll be back on that in the coming days. It's been awhile since I did the last GT5 Vettel so it might take a few a few hrs to get used to it again. I'm sure Suzuka will take quite awhile but once it's done I'll be putting up all the videos along with how I approached each one. I'll also be doing some different games for the moment so I will be going for Armored Core: Verdict Day, Vanquish, Furi & a few other games that I would like to do with those. I'll probably do Armored Core: Verdict Day first @CelestialRequiem & @Deadly_Ha_Ha before I do Vanquish so that's going to be tough few games to get through but I'm quite excited to try those out. I know you @Shrooba recommend Furi quite a lot to others so I'm sure I'll enjoy that one. I might ask for some tips every now & then lol.
