Popular Post MonaSaxPayne
Quote Here’s a heart-warming story to kickstart your Friday: a proud father has awarded a letter of congratulations, alongside a real-world PlayStation trophy, to a six-year-old who managed to complete Astro’s Playroom on PS5, presented from the perspective of the platform holder. The child in question had been struggling with the final boss fight, which features the PS1’s infamous T-Rex tech demo, for quite some time. However, upon overcoming the feat – which had left her in tears on occasion – her Dad acknowledged the achievement with a personal note, which he pretended was signed by Sony. “We saw how hard you worked to master this incredibly difficult boss that is the T-Rex,” he said. “To honour this incredible victory, we are choosing to reward you with this Golden PlayStation Commemorative trophy. Let this serve as a reminder that hard work, persistence, and resilience will always propel you to greatness in life!” Well done to the little girl for overcoming the boss, and beginning her PlayStation journey proper. She’ll be waltzing through Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time next… sauce: https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2022/10/six-year-old-celebrates-after-conquering-astros-playroom-on-ps5 just thought I'd share this feel good story on here ? nice distraction from the ezpz spam arguments thats pop up every day now
Popular Post CelestialRequiem
Really cool. Glad she was able to overcome it -- I beat my first game around that age as well. 9 minutes ago, MonaSaxPayne said: nice distraction from the ezpz spam arguments thats pop up every day now We'll see about that -- she put more effort into earning trophies than any of those cretins, lol.
Hurricane_Tanya
That’s cute. My daughter is 5 and has a couple of platinums already. She has her own account, but not actually connected to psn yet, she’s too young for the internet. I don’t think I’d be able to give my daughter a letter from Sony though, she’d probably question where all mine are

woggly4
Don't want to be that guy, but: The message of the letter is good! But, when she finally realizes in a few years it actually wasn't Sony but her dad the disappointment will be real. He should've just celebrating her as a dad, not pretending to be someone, would have had more wholesome impact in the the long run imho. Overall cool story though, hope she will earn a lot more trophies! Edited October 7, 2022 by woggly4

RedbeardRik
This is awesome, love that the next generation of trophy hunters can start so young. My 9 year old has got a bit into trophy hunting this year and now has 3 plstinums- it takes two, Minecraft dungeons and Astro's playroom he also gas the 100% in gang beasts which was his first completion but has no plat. He's working hard on Spider-man for his next one.

ollo99
This is the type of positivity we need in this community. I started trophy hunting when I was 10 years old, I'm 23 now and still trophy hunting ?

You won't remember the cake tasting any less better just because the frosting was fake instead of real.

JAK-KRIEG
Great story, but am I glad that games and trophies weren't a thing when I was a kid I got to experience fresh air playing outside every day I fear we are getting generations of vault/cave dwellers that are stuck like glue to their iPads/consoles/iPhone. I'm not raising my kid with a phone in their hand from birth.
VigilantCrow
She may not remember the game in a few years but she'll remember what her dad did for her and that's worth the world. Well done.
