Undead Wolf Posted December 7, 2022 Share Posted December 7, 2022 Selfishly, I hope Genshin Impact (or is it Jenshin Impact?) wins all the categories it was nominated for simply due to the fact that miHoYo usually reward us with free primogems if it does, so at least I get something out of it. ? I'm not bothered what ends up winning in the other categories. I will tune into the show though because it's usually good for a laugh with friends. But as for what my game of the year is based on the options given, that would have to be Elden Ring. I also have some quick predictions, I like to do them usually. That's the only fun part about the actual awards for me. Best game - Elden Ring Best direction - God of War Best narrative - God of War Best accessibility - TLOU 1 Best action/adventure - God of War Best RPG - Elden Ring Best sports/racing - Gran Turismo 7 Best Indie - Stray Best debut - Stray Best family game - Kirby Most anticipated - Zelda As for announcements, they kinda already spoiled most of them, lol. Crash Bandicoot multiplayer game has been both leaked and teased. Kojima's teases are leading up to some announcement. Tekken 8 is going to have a trailer. Popular Post Redgrave Posted December 9, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted December 9, 2022 Like the other TGA events I was mostly in this for the reveal trailers but I'm glad to see Elden Ring won GOTY ? Was also glad to see the Death Stranding 2 reveal. Now I look forward to speculating what may or may not happen in that and the eventual predictions it may make ? I was kind of hoping to see Overdose there too but I guess that will be for E3. Armored Core VI looked cool. I have only played the demo to one of them on PS3 but I will keep this one in mind but either way it's nice to see the series officially come back. Judas also looked interesting too and I was expecting it to be a new BioShock since it looked like they were using Plasmids and the Ghost Story Games logo showed up. The Baldur's Gate 3 trailer looked cool too and I really want to be excited for it but they didn't show that it was going to be on any consoles so I hope they do announce a console release at some point. Other than that the speech by Teal'c from StarGate along with the Kevin Conroy bit from The Suicide Squad trailer were nice to see. Behind Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it was the best game of 2022 for me. Maybe it would have had a shot if it wasn't an exclusive to PC and Nintendo for half the year and got the same commercial attention as stray... Oh well. It's a highly polished well written game but ultimately a game I have played many times before, nothing unique in terms of gameplay and it's not willing to take any risks / innovate gameplay. I loved the first game and the new snippets we got during that trailer have me super intrigued. There were some other announcements that interested me like Judas from Ken Levine's team, and Hades 2, even if I have yet to play the original. I've never played an Armored Core game before, but I'll pay attention to anything From Software puts out. FFXVI continues to look awesome. Elden Ring deserved to win GOTY no doubt. I'm happy that Miyazaki got to make his speech. But I'm mostly just glad Genshin Impact beat Sonic Frontiers in the people's choice awards. I look forward to seeing the cope. ?
