Just one question I couldn't see answered in opening post. If I already completed in 2023 can I count them from the get go? Or do they only count from the moment I joined the challenge (Now). I hope the former because I have been eyeing this challenge but have not pulled myself together to actually just write a post and join the challenge

Cool, then here comes my first update on the colours:

 

 

Crisis Core I undoubtedly light blue, but I couldn't really decide with myself where NieR: Automata should go. In my eyes it was also a bit brown or tan, but I do think grey fits the most and is most appropriate for that game. If anyone disagree I will take advice on what color it fits most. Maybe I am a bit color blind - so ultimately this event will help me.

 

NieR was really a long time coming, I've been thinking about getting that game for what feels like years. It was good, but I think it was hyped up too much. Not to say it wasn't amazing it really was. I just thought that some passages and quests were pretty dull. Also the characters aren't that interesting before nearing the ending in my opinion. Maybe that's a hot take I don't know.

Crisis Core though cam from my current love of Final Fantasy. I had just finished 7 remake as well, so it all blended together so well.

First color completed. Cult of the Lamb (PS4) could arguably fit for a few colors (I was hoping I could use it for tan, but I downloaded the wrong version ha). No concrete plans for any of the other colors; I’ll fit them in as I go through my backlog this year.

I got my yellow game with SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom so far.

 

 

What can I say about Spongbob? Having watched the series as a kid it was nice to see and hear all the characters again with their original voices again.

It is a quite simple platformer in the vein of games like Mario or Banjo-Kazooie. You enter the different levels which are the differnt places from the show and collect golden spatulas for doing differnt things for the inhabitans of Bikini Bottom.

One more down! I think the Bugsnax image has enough green lol, didn't want to use yellow just yet. I considered using it for light blue but I'm not sure if that counts, so maybe later

Got another color filled in so now I have 3 filled already:

 

 

This one fits the color perfectly - so that's satisfying.

 

Tearaway Unfolded I think I got it from PS Plus, and it has been in my backlog for so long. I mean the first trophy I got in it was 5 years and 10 months ago, so it feels very good to have it completed after all that time. I can recommend the game for casual playthrough and I did have some fun trophies with weirdly specific challenges which I do like in a game. And normally I don't mind the collectables, but this games collectables was just awful. There were so many in each stage and also you have to find all the enemies and kill them, but it glitches all the time or enemies fly out of the screen and don't die without you knowing. Also some challenges in the game you have to carry an animal halfway through the stage without dying, but the game is not really made for this. It's pretty forgivable and therefore deaths don't matter, but that also means sometimes you just fly out of the map because of one little thing. And then you have to restart the entire level and watch all the unstoppable cutscenes, so that was pretty tiresome. Luckily I wasn't too frustrating only a level or two were it got really glitchy and out of hand in my playthrough.

 

Glad I played it though, there are so many unique things about the game, and the concept that you can draw anything in to the game and decorate everyone, yourself and even the elements in the game is so cool. Just a shame that it's not a very good platformer with it's many fixed camera angles and such.

Glad you got a game that has been so long on your backlog out of the way! I get what you mean with the glitches, the confetti on the slide after Chapter 5 glitched out on me but only found out when doing the clean-up so that sucked and I cannot be asked to do it again haha. Those gopher missions were a chore.

 

But I don't know a lot of games that ooze as much childlike fun and creativity as Tearaway so reccomend On to the next one for you!

I have changed my red game to Death Squared. I unfortunately am not sure about playing legions due to time constraints with other games and real life. 

 

Death squared was a game I just didn't enjoy much, I saw good qualities but I feel there are a lot of times where bugs killed my mood of solving puzzles. But we finished it and I'm glad I pushed through.

Nice, congrats! But to be completely honest, it's kind of hard to follow your list. So maybe consider using @pinkrobot_pb's tool (see below) to create your chart so we can actually see your colors, it's as easy as pie.

First update from me. I've gone through a few games I've completed and think these should work as selections. Shame the PS5 tiles get squished. Wish Sony hadn't taken away our nice rectangles ?

Second game down. I did want FF XIII as my light blue but I can't think of any other colour that Immortals Fenyx Rising works for. The game itself is such a grind and destroyed by collectibles

You still might be able to.  It's close but FF XIII looks like a slightly lighter shade of blue to me.

Mighty Maths will need to be black if it's anything - the grey is actually transparent, when you click the image, it's this:

Immortals could work for Tan - though TBH, I think light blue is best, and FF XIII could be better for white...

Not able to do this event due to life etc. but just wanted to say congratulations to @DrBloodmoney for what is obviously a really well done event that is clearly going down great with the PSNP community! I'm an admirer of this from a far and hopefully one day my schedule will time well with one of these events and I'll be able to join. In the meantime, just wanted to say keep up the great work and kudos! ? ? (Also for being part of the many who do awesome checklists! Must be a lot of time and effort!)
