i have been playing fallen legion flames of rebellion 26% but 1 life mode is going to be though i hope i can complete it fallen legion flames of rebellion

A pretty cool new version of Metrico+!

 

It's a game originally on the Vita (well, the original Metrico was) - this is sort of a part-remaster, part-remake - there's definitely some reused puzzles (it's been many years, but I think the majority is the same), but quite a lot of additions, as well as some changes, since the Vita weird control inputs aren't present.

 

The game is very imaginative and cool - a great look to it, all based around sort of Microsoft Excel Infographic style presentations, and each puzzle is pretty unique and clever.

 

UR Puzzle games are pretty rare, but it's no mystery why this one has it - the speed run trophies are no joke, and require quite a bit of repetition, memory and a good dollop of things going your way to get them... plus, they are way tougher than the vita ones, as I recall, probably because the motion controls of the vita were a LOT easier to control than using an analogue stick for fine control of shooting!)

 

 

Anyways, that marks my first ever completion for this event!

Of all the games on the Most Wanted List, Nex Machina was the only one I own/have played (and really even want to try), and I find twin-stick shooters to be the greatest thing invented since sliced bread, so I went ahead and turned my focus to it. There's no doubt; this is one of the best TSS games out there, and Housemarque does what they do best...frantic action and some of the smoothest gameplay around. I completed it on a previous account not too long ago, so it was fresh in my mind...having said that, getting the 100 feats is still a royal pain in the cheeks.

Hello, I finally replaced my PS3 and got my third Catherine stack platinum milestone, so I can go back to "normal" trophy hunting again, here's my tier 1 list: 

 

Tier 1

1. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars: 1.36%

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows: 1.97%

3. Lost Planet 3: 1.67% Can't find any recent info about the servers, might swap this.

4. Armored Core Veredict Day: 1.11% Oh boy, this is going to be hell, isn't it?. Only time will tell.

5. Recommendation ?.??%

 

Also, I need a psnprofiles user's recommendation for the Bingo challenge, please, anyone, recommend me a good UR game. Must be PS3/PS4 (only platforms I own) it can be from my backlog, just nothing super long, please! Oh I'm not ps plus neither, so nothing that needs ps plus!

Just a heads up.  I remember hearing the servers were either shut down or getting shut down for this.  Also, for an Ultra Rare for your Bingo Challenge, I'd recommend Bleed, Assault Suit Leynos, or Slain: Back from Hell .  I was doing similar research yesterday which is how I found the latter 2 (I've never played Assault Suit so maybe it's not good) but I spent quite a bit of time with Bleed last year.  I was ass at it so someone who gets the mechanics a bit better may be able to wrap it up in under 20 hours (where I stopped).  I don't personally like Slain but it may be up your alley.  I just know these three all have fairly quick plat times per their respective guides.

I already platinumed Slain: Back from Hell, so I'll flip a coin for Assault Suit Leynoss (which I assume is Mecha) or Bleed, which I already know is a bitch. Although ASL is looking sexy since Bleed is a whole franchise so I'm not sure about the commitment.

 

Already got all the online trophies from Super Sonic ... Cars, but thanks for the heads up!

 

And just in case anyone is worried about not making it in time: You can literally boost it vs yourself with a second controller! Doesn't even need to be a PS3 controller.

That's the easy part, however, I'm about to get my ass kicked by the 5 Star  runs...

 

@AvengedEvil Now that sounds nice. Will keep it in mind, but yeah, not adding to my backlog sounds very tempting right now.

I personally found Dead Nation to be a bit harder than Nex Machina, though that might also partly be because I just didn't like it nearly as much as Nex lol. Nex isn't quite as hard as it might seem though, especially once you figure out how to approach the gameplay (basically be super aggressive), so I definitely recommend you to just stick with your current choice

The problem I have with twin stick shooters is that my brain just seems to shut down when there are enemies attacking from all sides with lots of flashy visual effects going on all over the screen. My brain just goes to complete mush and I zone out.

Fresh off of twin-stick shooter joy from Nex Machina, I took on my personal twin-stick favorite, Cryptark. While classified as a twin-stick shooter, Cryptark is massively different than others in the category. It's a much slower-paced affair and requires more strategy and less reactionary movement. It can still get hectic at times, but not nearly as much as other games. If you decide to give it a try, I suggest earning two trophies (locating any two artifacts in the game), then purchasing the ROOK mech and using it. It's class ability is a literal unbreakable shield that resists even nuclear blasts...the only caveat is that you cannot move while the shield is active. So shielding against attacks, then countering, helps you get out of sticky situations.

I would love to join this year, but I'm holding back. I have 985 UR trophies on my profile as it is and I know I have more in my ever expansive backlog to increase that number beyond. The creators of the thread and the challenge itself promote positivity and camaraderie to push beyond the limits and grab those trophies. I however feel intimidated by all the greatness that happens in this thread and cannot do the theme justice. 

I support everyone who is here and pushing themselves to reach the heights in challenge and UR gaming. This is not a post for pity or to garner attention, just an understanding that I know my limitations at the moment.

I still have 3 pages left to read from the previous event, and now 5 here, but I'd like to register now because I expect to complete a DLC with a UR trophy very, very soon. Though it's not very impressive. But a UR is a UR, right?

A couple of games finished(2/5), i m racing against my Premium Plus expiring on Jan 24 to finish Atari 2, not a lot of spare time to put into it.  

 

  Plat 1.34% 

 

I enjoyed the Multiplayer aspect, reuniting with my GTA5 CM2 partner for a change of pace.  Although i love arcade twin stick shooters, it was too repetitive to imagine playing it past the Plat. The final boss Trial was probably the highlight gameplay wise. However it was included in my Premium Subscription that i paid 20$ to upgrade to, so thats a win for me.  Think i ll get 5 games done in Premium/Extra, but not the one i signed up for, Dead Nation.

Atari 1.  I have never played on console, but i played some(6?) of the Arcade games back in the day, so some nice memories of the couple arcades that were close.  Love that Centipede Artwork.

Far Cry 2 cleared:

I thought I would never bother with this game, then one day I woke up and bought it. The MP was a shit experience, I was lucky to have some circumstances which greatly speeded up the boost. I was hoping the SP would be enjoyable but no, that was another annoyance to clear: cars that break with 1 shot and enemies that always spawn right next to you stopping your travel all around the map for some horrible collectibles was brutally annoying. Definitely not a game I could recommend.
