Greedfall is going into this challenge again, and it keeps appearing ever since I first participated in one of these all the way back in 2023, so I really ought to get to it soon.... But I guess I'll see, I've still got plenty of backlog busting to do outside of this event too, with the games above 50% on my strange little personal quest towards 98% completion

Finally finished FFIV. I panicked when I saw I hadn't gotten the rest of the hidden items as I failed to get the Spoon from Yang's wife, but turns out it wasn't needed as the rest of the hidden items were in chocobo forests, which I missed two of(the one in Troia area and the one on an island east of Troia ) and I missed half of the chests in Sylvan Cave so I cleared that out and popped the plat.

 

Just got onto FFV next. This will be interesting, but I didn't go very far, just popped the first trophy for starting the game. Named Bartz Cici, but accidentally added an "i" so his name is now Cicii.

Made a good start to the event with my 1st completion of the event done with LEGO Indy 2. Really chill fun couch co-op experience with @rjkclarke, and it's got me wanting to play some more LEGO games in future. The clean up on this was really fun, but having to replay the story levels on quick play mode and then do the builder tutorial levels was a bit tedious. Nice to have a 12 year platinum recorded on my list though!

 

Taken a break from trophy hunting to finally start the Metal Gear Solid series. I've never played it before but it's been nice to play the original PS1 version with @rjkclarke. Really hooked on it and it's way ahead of its time so I'm really excited to finally get into the series so I've decided to add the second game to my list for when I finish the first one this week. It'll be interesting to see the remastered collection and the remake of MGS 3 as well when I eventually get round to those ?.

First update and the first 2 games are done. I finished Summer in Mara, a farming and fetch quest sim in the style of Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons) mixed with Windwaker. The game was fun and relaxing (and strangely addictive). I even think about getting the other 2 games from the developer (Deiland, Ankora) when they come out on disc at the end of the month, as they play in the same universe and the gameplay looks similar to this one.

My second finished game is Clid the Snail, a twin stick shooter with an post apocalyptic setting (humans are dead, animals and insects form little ethno states that are threatened by a slug invasion). It reminded me a bit of Biomutant (without the narrator) and the story has a few dark turns. The game was a little short and the protagonist controls a little slow, but the game was fun, nontheless.

I also started Assassins Creed: Origins and finished the prologe. It`s good so far but I can see myself getting annoyed when I get to the "complete every point on the map" trophy.

I recently did assassins Creed: Origins and it isn't as bad as you would think, When I did it I started on the 17th of September and got the platinum in 4 days so you should be good you'll have to let me know how you find it and both dlcs took like 20 hours max for both of them. Good luck though!

Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts

When I first started this game back in February of 2022, I didn’t really like the game all that much. Compared to SGW3 it was a big change. No more complete open world, first person only and just five missions total on relatively small maps. I decided to go for this one first as it was the one I was not really looking forward to play. But I have to say I really did enjoy it this time around. The missions were fun, not too long or difficult and the trophy list was pretty decent. Luckily I didn’t have to do all the challenges, buy all upgrades or complete all bounties, which made the game a bit shorter in the end(not by a whole lot) Anyway happy that it’s done and I’ll probably look into getting SGW: Contracts 2 at some point. Next up will probably be DOOM. I just noticed I put 3 FPS games on here….

On the side I played a little game called A building full of cats which was a 10/10 for me ??‍⬛ No platinum, just a fun little puzzle game for in between stuff.

Update 1 - 6/5/2023

As expected, Diablo IV has taken over my brain since Thursday so I didn't even think of playing anything else. That will probably be the case for another week or two, but I'm going to try and at least squeeze Humanity in there at some point. Should be pretty painless to finish with all the video guides out there now.

 

If I can actually get the PvP trophy in D4 this week I'll add it to my challenge list before my completion % gets too high. I managed to get 3 of the 5 needed kills mostly by accident - people jumped into my traps as I was killing mobs and got stunned so I just finished them off - so 2 more should be doable.

Currently working on Final Fantasy II and this will be my first time completing the game.  I made 1 previous attempt at this game before, back when it was released in the Final Fantasy Origins collection on the PS1, but only made it up to the end of the Snow Cavern before I got distracted by another game.  Already several steps beyond where I was at that point as I now have my pirate ship and am looking for the dragoons.  I will be playing these intermittently with MLB The Show.

Well, I stupidly f'ked up - I released the wolf prisoner in Walse Castle and I was warned not to do that as he'll steal treasure, which means he'll open a bunch of chests and that treasure is GONE, meaning I can't complete the 100% treasure trophy. I have to delete my save and START ALL OVER.

 

Good! I have to go back to FFXIV and now I can play Kingdom Hearts III in the morning and FFXIV in the afternoon...

 

And just drop out of this challenge as I will never be able to finish it. ?

 

(Okay, I apologize for throwing a tanturn, I'm not giving up, it's just so frustrating when I fell for a trap by letting the wolf of the prison of Walse Castle. *sigh* This site's guide did not warn me early enough and I overwrit every save after I made that mistake so I can't go back to a previous save. Oh well. )

Okay, I managed to get the PvP trophy in Diablo IV so I'm officially adding it to my challenge list before I go over 33%.

 

If anybody wants a tip, each Field of Hatred zone has a boss called the Seething Abomination. Its icon shows up on the map when it's active. You can get close and hear if people are fighting it. If so, you can try and swoop in and kill them. They'll probably be distracted and not at full health since the boss is tough. I found that much easier than trying to kill people when they're at the altars.

So I've already decided to make my first swap because Far Cry 4's platinum is unobtainable, I've swapped it out with Beat Saber, I already have the platinum for the PS4 version and I bloody love that game. It will be well played after the the platinum has been obtained.

 

I've also made a good start on Hot Wheels Unleashed, it's been in my backlog a while and I've really been wanting to play it. I completed all the DLC and I'm about a third way through the campaign. So far it has been quite fun.

Current Progress Update:  Haven't played a huge amount like I've wanted to in this first week(ish) of this challenge.  Started a new playthrough of Fallout 4, cause I decided to play a "dumb melee" build character!  Also started Prototype 2 and made a decent start before running into a mission saying it needed to be downloaded first...not sure what that meant considering the game is downloaded.  Maybe I need to progress in some other things first?  I also made a little bit of progress on Power Wash Sim, finished two levels in Career Mode as well as some miscellaneous trophies.  The most progress I've done, as of writing this has been Life is Strange: True Colors.  I'm currently finishing Chapter 3 and will probably have it finished later today(6/6/23).  AS you can tell I jump around quite a bit and will continue to do so the whole time?!  Will do another full check-in next week and will do a quick update when I complete something!
