ArtikSkarab
I guess I shouldn't had hidden my request for suggestions in my report... At least, I'll assume that's why I was skipped. Here are the criteria I'm looking for: 1- I'm open to most games on here or through PS+ Premium (NA list). (Can't direct link my TT game collection without a login, so check here or shoot stuff) 2- Maximum 40 hours for the platinum. I'm not looking for huge RPGs which brings me to 3- Good story, even over gameplay. I'm into games for the worlds they present and am always happy to experience new things. 4- Nothing too difficult. I don't have the mad skillz for difficult games so easier on that side. Otherwise, I am always happy to try new things! Popular Post Baker
Game #8 done: In-game Weather Effects. Ghostwire: Tokyo I could have gone for Gorgeous Vistas too because Tokyo by night looks amazing. I took a few screenshots of the game. But went with In-Game Weather Effects as it rains from time to time. The game itself is really good. Looks great, good combat, good story, lots of variety in the side missions, but.. The amount of collectibles in this game is insane. Even if they would cut the collectibles down by 50% it would still be too much. I think they added this much nonsense because the main missions are very short. You could probably beat the story under 5 hours. Now you’re running around for 30+ hours collecting stuff.

Popular Post ProfSeajay7
Let me check my bingo card to see if I filled in anything. I apologize for not updating as I wasn't sure what games would qualify since I joined. Hold on.... (scour scour scour) Well, well, this is interesting... I made a mistake: Adventures of Mana should be E5, not B5. I'll fix this in the update. (1) O3 [With Mystery or Detective Themes] - Yuletide Legends: Who Framed Santa Claus? (PS4) (2) G4 [Released in your Birth Month] - Yuletide Legends: Who Framed Santa Claus? (PS5) (3) N4 [That you can beat in one sitting] - Ape Escape (PS4 classic) (4) B5 [With a female protagonist] - Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror (5) B4 [Isometric view] - TOEM (6) N5 [Aliens or Robots] - LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (PS4) (7) E5 [Adventure] - Adventures of Mana (8) G1 [Fantasy or Sci-Fi] - Final Fantasy IV An Artifex Mundi game where the main character is a female detective... who only is open on Christmas Eve and solves crimes related to Christmas mythos. Today she has to find out who got Santa Claus arrested for breaking and entering. The same game as before with a different version. Both games were released in December, which is my birth month. (My birthday is December 6, the games came out nine days after then. Make sense since it's Christmas-themed.) Just because anyone can beat this game in one sitting(there have been speedruns of the original game), doesn't mean that I necessarily did so. Another Artifex Mundi title, and all of the games I've played from that company have a female main character. I haven't seen any female staff in that company, so either Sweden has a high respect for female characters... or the group are closet perverts. I know this might be pushing it, but I am sure that the gameplay in this title could be considered as isometric. I will edit the card if this does not quality. Anyone who has played this game, please let me know so I can fix it for the next update. It's a great game, there is almost no color in the game and the focus is on photography. Going back to this title for the slot as Star Wars has droids(robots) and alien races, so arguing otherwise is like trying to fight a Jedi, suicidal and futile. The game has Adventure in the name and is an adventure RPG, so it qualifies. A faithful HD remaster of the original Final Fantasy Adventure game for the Game Boy. A lot of grinding for trophies but otherwise the awesome founder of the Mana series. Again, genre is in the title and lots of fantasy elements. The only non-fantasy elements are the tanks, airships, and the ginormous robot that appears near the endgame. (Oops, spoilers for a very old SNES title. ) Edited February 8 by ProfSeajay7

Popular Post BeesTrophies
Adding to the Strat, Sim or Management box we have Unpacking! I was going to slide this into non violent but I'm also doing the cozy games event this year so lots that could fill that spot and figured I'd try to squeeze it somewhere I won't get naturally. I also don't have a direct plan of attack for this card, just completing games and see where they fall. Hopefully I can fill an entire card this year? 😍 Game You Think You Will Dislike --- The Callisto Protocol. Underplayed (Owned by <1000 Players) --- DC Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "For Another PSNP Event" Game: "Thirsty Suitors" A weird combo of turn-based fighting, Skatepark Challenge, Cooking game, Rhythm Game, Dating Sim and lite-RPG, mixing a Scott Pilgrim concept of battling Exes (though in this case, your own, and in this case.... well... good,) with a "coming home" teen melodrama and blend of (primarily) South Asian family dynamics touching on culture clash and the immigrant experience. The game is never particularly stand-out in term of mechanics in any of it's many different facets, and there isn't a huge variety of locations, but what it lacks in scope or mechanical finesse, it makes up for with good writing, oodles of style, bags of fun and exuberance, and a genuinely likeable hot-mess of a protagonist! There's a lot of great characters, a good chunk of funny - and often deceptively sharp - dialogue, and everything - from cooking, to dancing, to skating, to simply walking in a door, or coming down the stairs, is given such a ridiculous level of exuberant flourish and flair that it's hard not to be swept up in the nonsense! This one didn't really fit in any of my remaining specific categories... ...I considered it for "Non-Violent", as while there is a lot of combat, it's all metaphorical, and really, the combat is "emotional" and rhetorical, rather than physical... ...but in the end, that felt like a bit of a stretch, and since I play plenty of non-violent stuff, I'm sure I can fill that elsewhere anyways. Instead, I'm using my (basically free) "For another PSNP Event... ...since I'm also in the Kaleidoscope Event, so technically, almost EVERY game I play is "For another PSNP Event"! 😆
Popular Post GhastlySoulsc
Totally forgot to share the progress in this thread! I managed to fill in a couple of squares with some of the games I finished (sometimes I only realized something fit a long time after). For the Independent developer square I finished Abzu. Lovely and relaxing game, except for the mine areas. Don't ask me how many times I got hit. For the With mystery or Detective themes square I finished Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders. This one really got me out of my comfort zone as I don't usually like games like these. I ended up having quite a bit of fun with it. Of course I somehow managed to miss several things for a trophy and will have to do that in the future... For the non-violent square I finished Amazed!. Don't know how to feel about this one. The normal levels are easy as hell, but the Time Trials and Limited Moves can go suck it. I only managed to do Limited Moves with a guide and the Time Trials are just too much imo. For the With Sci-fi or Fantasy themes square I finished the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. Oh boy, this one was a banger! As a Final Fantasy fanboy I had to pick this one up, as I've never played 1 through 6 and it did not disappoint. I've got almost all of the rest of the series as well, so I've got something to look forward to! Popular Post ExHaseo
Finally finished another game. I've been really distracted by FFXIV, so only one this time. I3 - Released In Your Birth Month - Resident Evil 3 Remake I was born in April,, and this game originally released on April 3, 2020. I had heard this game was short and a bit of a disappointment, but I thought that was just because it was like the original. Which was also considered short and disappointing on release when compared to RE2. But wow, what I heard was right. It only took about 4 hours to beat, and that was with multiple deaths and trying not to save (I wasn't sure if that affected anything), so I had to redo a couple of pretty long sections because of insta-kills. The short time would have been fine, but they took out the multiple endings and choices. I thought maybe they would add all the Carlos parts Jill isn't there for or something, but there's nothing extra on later playthroughs. So it's just a really short game with no real incentive to play it again, unless you want the plat. I wouldn't call it a bad game on it's own, at least at the price I paid for it. I got it on sale for like $5. At that price, it's a great value, especially if you like the series. But I feel really bad for anyone who paid full price for it. It's definitely not worth it. Unless maybe you like the side-game that came with it, but I'm not a fan of PvP games in general, and I really don't like the 4v1 style. So overall I enjoyed it. It is a fun game. It's just not worth more than maybe $10.

Popular Post Treilio
G1 - Based on a non-gaming IP - The Simpsons Arcade Game Kinda feels weird that this is still the only Simpsons game with trophies. Someone should remaster Hit & Run. G2 - That you meant to play last year - Guacamelee! I have most of the developers games on my backlog, just missing Tales from Space: About a Blob, so I was meaning to start this one last year but never got around to it. Will probably do Super Turbo Championship Edition platinum soon too. G5 - With online features - Foamstars Online shooter inspired by Splatoon. All of the trophies can be gotten quite quick, but completing the squad mode on hard can take some tries, and ranked mode is not available to play all the time. It's a fun little game. O1 - Originally released in 2024 - Tekken 8 If you liked Tekken 7, then you are probably gonna like this too. The actual story mode is a huge improvement from 7, but for the invidual character endings I would have liked to have gotten some non joke ones too. It's also little disappointing that there is still no survival, time attack or team battle in the game. At this point I would say I like it better than Tekken 7, definetly recommend it. O5 - Side-scrolling or bullet hell - Streets of Rage 2 Getting all of the trophies can be little hard, but save states make them more manageable. Easily the best of the 4 Sega beat em' ups I just completed (Altered Beast, Comix Zone, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage 2). Spoiler B3 - Spawned an expanded universe - Treilio's Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 Trophies B5 - Has no platinum trophy - Treilio's Blast Factor Trophies I2 - One word title - Treilio's Stacking Trophies I5 - By an independent developer - Treilio's Omno Trophies G1 - Based on a non-gaming IP - Treilio's The Simpsons Arcade Game Trophies G2 - That you meant to play last year - Treilio's Guacamelee! Popular Post stuthesheep
Time for a slightly overdue update. First off is I5 with Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, which was just as enjoyably stupid as the title suggests. It's a world of mutated vegetables and you play as a turnip trying to take down the corrupt vegetable mafia. One of the bosses along the way was admittedly a mutated ex-human, however as it could vomit toxic waste at you and hit you with an Dhalsim-like extendable fist from its chest, I'm gonna declare that all humanity was sucked out of it a long time ago. Sounds a bit like my ex-wife! Moving onto something much more sedate, marking off B3 with Lake. Basically you play as a middle-aged woman in the 1980s having a midlife crisis while taking on her dad's rural postal route for a couple of weeks. Nice short game though, took about six hours to finish through - despite having to play the final act three times to get all the endings. And finally, up top for N3 and the retro re-release of Secret of Mana, a game I played to death on the SNES back in the 90s. Times were much simpler then with no grindy trophies to worry about! An enjoyable trip down memory lane despite the sometimes painful trophy hunt. Spoiler N3 (Retro) - Secret of Mana 8/2 I2 (Historical) - A Plague Tale: Requiem 23/1 B3 (One Sitting) - Lake 27/1 G3 (New Series) - A Plague Tale: Innocence 15/1 I4 (Recommended) - Omno 4/1 I5 (No Humans) - Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion 25/1
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "You Think You Will Dislike" Game: "oOo: Ascension" A cleverly designed Arcade-style maze-racing game with a simple but clean art style, some decent ambient/electro music, and a very novel, distinct looking spherical playfield design. The game is a super fast, very twitch-control, short-levels/high-speed maze runner, with multiple obstacles that kill instantly - and the player ship dies if it so much as touches an edge, takes a hit from an enemy ship (or their attacks)... but the levels themselves are all generally quite short - many completable in around 10-20 seconds, once the player finesses a route and a timing. The "uncontexualised-puzzle-floating-in-space" and minimalist aesthetic put me in mind of games like Mercury or Echochrome, though the aesthetic design of the ship and the enemies (and the controls) are akin to earlier Housemarque games, or something like Shatter. It's a game I specifically chose because it isn't one of my preferred genres (hence, the "You Think You Will Dislike",) but actually, I had quite a bit of fun with this one - and can recommend it for fans of the quick-fire, short-burst, high-speed type games - as I think the concept is fairly well worn, but the spherical design is novel, and the game does a great job of varying the design, and upping the ante as it progresses! I realise that the game is categorised as a Puzzle game - which is a preferred genre for me... ...but it is also classed as a racing game, and that's a genre I rarely dip my toe in, as it's not one I find huge enjoyment in often! I was rather pleased that it turned out to me something I enjoyed - makes a nice change from last year's entry to that category, which was the rather shitty half-game Sifu! 😆 Edited February 12 by DrBloodmoney
Popular Post zaxonzaxon
I meant to join up a while ago, but keep forgetting/getting distracted. Time to fix that! I've got three games to start: That Everyone But You Has Played: Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I'd played the original, but only just recently got around to playing the remake. With all the hype around the upcoming Rebirth, this seems like the most appropriate category for it. DLC Pack or Standalone DLC: Steep Xtreme Pack. Finished up all three of this game's DLC, and the Xtreme pack was my favorite as it was the only one that had the base game's challenging difficulty. Contains Holiday Themes: Yakuza Kiwami. Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
Update! G2 Anthropomorphized Animals - Odin Sphere Leifthrasir This game has a race of anthro-rabbit type creatures called Pookas, they reside underground in a small village beneath the wasteland of Valentine with the only way in or out being magic portals, they are usually vendors and restaurant owners... but Cornelius, one of the main characters of the game is doomed to be transformed into a Pooka beast at the start of his storyline. Regarding the game, it was a really fun experience. I really liked the art, the characters, the different perspectives, and the combat system. I had this game on my list since the PS2 era, but never had the chance to play it till now. The main issue is that it's repetitive, but overall is a pretty solid game with great soundtrack and a bunch of loveable characters. Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "Frightening/ Horror" Game: "Immortality" One of the most interesting games I've played in quite a while, and the best from Sam Barlow (of Her Story and Telling Lies) - the game is essentially raw cutting room footage and various tertiary filmed elements relating to 3 "unreleased" lost films, each starring a specific actress, with the player tasked with watching and analysing them, and solving a whole host of mysteries. What happened to different actors, why the films were not released, what thematic tropes were at work, who did what and why... .... and a deeper mystery hidden within the footage makes for a really unnerving and disturbing time when discovered! The game is superbly acted and written - working to tell the story of three different genres, and an overall look at the evolution of Hollywood, from the exploitative studio system, to the rise of the auteur and new-wave cinema imported from Europe, to the sexual revolution and then subsequent exploitation film scene of the later 80's and 90s - and it's genuinely unnerving in a lot of places, particularly once the veil begins to lift, and the player begins to see beyond what is immediately obvious on screen. Definitely not one for the faint of heart or the easily offended - there is full blown horror, some lengthly nudity and sex scenes, murder, gore, abuse and trauma - but it's all very well done, and absolutely works, to make for genuinely one of the most unique experiences one can have on the console. Highly Recommended! I really considered putting this one for "Spawned an Extended Universe" because each of the three ostensibly fictitious films in the game - Ambrosio, Minsky and Two of Everything - have their own iMBD pages, with the game essentially breaking the fourth wall, and "extending" it's "universe" onto that site... ...however, I'm not sure how well that would be accepted, so I'm playing it a little safer, by going with "Frightening / Horror" as that one is a lock!
Popular Post Baker
Game #9 done: Adventure The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails I’ve put this under Adventure as I think that’s the best fit. It’s a side scrolling action JRPG from Falcom and it’s a mix between two of their most popular franchises: The Legend of Heroes and Ys. Which are both game series I absolutely love. This one is probably my least favorite as of now. The battle system isn’t as good as Ys and the story isn’t as good as Heroes. It reminded me also of the Valkyrie Profile games and Exist Archive as you combat in dungeon stages you can replay indefinitely. Still a fun game. Onto NG+ and finish up the trophies.
