Popular Post ExHaseo
I am so excited to do this event again this year. Here's my card: Hardest one is probably going to be For Another PSNP Event, because I'm not participating in other events and I don't really trophy hunt anymore lol.
HailHale81
Seems like a fun idea. I like these type of events after doing the color one last year. The 2024 one will be hard for me as I don't usually buy anything new and I totally had to look up what a weeb is haha Edited January 8 by HailHale81
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
A couple more entries down! Box: "Open World / Sandbox Game: "Tchia" A lovely looking sandbox love-letter to the developers home of New Caledonia - it's a narrative based in local island mythos, wrapped in a a collect-a-thon style freeplay environment, that feels somewhere between A Short Hike and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, with a little bit of Tearaway thrown in for good measure. A little longer than I might have expected - the number of collectibles is no joke! - but really that stuff exists to give the player an excuse to explore the beautifully detailed environments, and have fun in the traversal, hopping into the spirits of different animals and swimming / prancing/ flying around and feeling like they are on holiday! The game is very loose and side-content-heavy - there is a narrative, but the majority of time is simply spent exploring, doing mini games, challenges, seeing the different flaura and fauna, and taking in the environments, so feels perfect for this box! Box: "By An Independent Developer" Game: "Inked: A Tale of Love" A narrative Puzzle Adventure from a small team in Croatia, it uses a really distinct and gorgeous pencil-drawn art-style, to tell a meta-tale of a samurai, who's heartbroken creator, the artists - who's hands are occasionally seen, like in that one Daffy Duck Cartoon - captured then destroys his wife, mirroring his own pain at the loss of his own. The puzzles are pretty good, if relatively simple, and the narrative works fairly well for a simple tale, though there are some issues with the fiddly controls, as the game is very clearly designed for a mouse and keyboard / touch-screen. Somnium Games are a small team in Croatia, and Inked: A Tale of Love is their first (and as far as I can tell, currently only,) game, so fits neatly into this box!

Popular Post shadaik
Right, I'll bite. I actually did already but then lost my URL again, so... I'll count Jisei for the multiple endings, it being a Visual Novel Nice card, though I'm not sure if "Oldest in my Backlog" means the first game I bought but didn't yet play or the oldest release. I do like "You Think You Will Dislike" being in there.
Popular Post ExHaseo
First update, three games down! N-4 Anthropomorphized Animals - Shantae and the Seven Sirens - A ton of enemies in this game are anthropomorphized, like the man with the fish head. And also all the sirens too. I love Shantae, and WayFoward always does a great job. This game is no exception. I had a lot of fun with it. G-5 Award Winning - Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition - Finally got the special edition of the game on PS+, and got to play through as Vergil. I was expecting more story stuff from Vergil's POV, but all there really was was a slightly longer opening. I think the epilogue might have been a little different, but I honestly don't remember. Nothing substantial was really added. It's still DMC5 though, so it was still fun. O-4 - Crafting Mechanics - Anthem - You can craft all of your gear in this game. I've seen this on sale for $1 a lot, and I've also seen a good number people say that it's good now, so I decided to finally bite. It's alright. It's basically just Destiny at home. Except it's 3rd person, has flying, and has less stuff. The flying part is neat, but it overheats pretty quickly, so you have to stay low and follow water sources to stay airborne, making it a lot less fun and useful than I would have liked. The base mechanics are solid enough, but it's kind of hollow. Overall, there's nothing really new here. If you like Destiny and that kind of F2P loot grinding gameplay loop, it can be fun for a while. But really it's better to just play Destiny instead. There's way more there. And now I'm currently working on Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON. Because I love unnecessarily long and nonsensical names, and Gundams are cool. It's a lot more involved than I expected. I thought it was just a game with an arcade mode and PvP, so I thought it would be good for "That You Can Beat in One Sitting", but it has a pretty expansive single player mission mode. There's no story or anything, but I didn't get credits when I beat arcade mode, and that's generally how I decide if a game is beaten when there isn't a standard story mode. So I'm playing through mission mode too. It's pretty long though, so I'll be using it for "With a # or Punctuation" square instead. Assuming I can finish it in time. Sometime before the end of the month my PS+ is running out, and I'm not going to renew because it's just too expensive now. So hopefully I can finish it before whenever that is lol. It's getting really hard though, so we'll see. Edited January 9 by ExHaseo

Popular Post GeorgeAK199
C2 - (Redeemed From PS Plus) Saints Row Alright game I guess, very mid, very average, crashed a lot, but I didn't experience as many glitches as others have. Story really could've done with being a bit longer, just felt like it was a thing happen then thing happen kind of story, no real build-up to events in the game. Post-game grind was quite repetitive too. E3 - (Released In Your Birth Month) Sleeping Dogs Honestly my favourite game I have played since I started trophy hunting. The story was brilliant, and the extra work to get the platinum still felt fresh and fun.
Popular Post Baker
Second game done for Mystery or Detective themes: A mystery game, half VN, half solving puzzles while playing as not one, but two detectives. So it fits the category perfectly. And this game wasn’t as good as the first game (this is a sequel). The humor is gone, at least most of it, mostly thanks because Date (game 1 protagonist) is now a side character. The story isn’t as interesting, it’s about a group that believes reality is false and there are murders that cut people exactly in half which you need to solve. And many more things that made it less interesting for me. Overall still a fun game though if you like games like Zero Escape or Danganronpa. Popular Post ExHaseo
I'm on vacation until next Tuesday, so I spent literally all last night and all of today being a bum and just playing video games. So two more down lol. O1 - Released the Year You Joined PSNP - Resident Evil Revelations - I joined PSNP in 2013, and the console version of the game was originally released in 2013. I played the PS4 port of the game. I really hope I don't get this square again. I legitimately don't think there's another game from that year I can play without going dumpster diving. Anyway, I love Revelations. It's been my favorite game in the series since I played it on the 3DS. It's just got a perfect balance of action, survival horror, and absurdity that makes it a perfect mid-point between the more survival horror style games like the original RE and the more ridiculous action focused games like RE5. I've heard that RE4 Remake does a great job with this too though, so that may end up finally taking the spot when I eventually play it. Anyway, the console version of Revelations is way better now that it uses a real controller, has overall improved controls, and took out the more gimmicky stuff that the touch screen used, but the 3DS version is a pretty unique experience. O2 - For Another PSNP Event - Undertale - I ended up joining the Kaleidoscope event as an excuse to go back and actually plat some old unfinished games. I'm going to be exceptionally broke this year (if all goes well, I'll be moving across the world), and trophy hunting is a great way to get more out of old games. I'm just going to copy what I said about the game on the other thread, because I'm lazy. I've heard a lot of hype about this, so before my PS+ expires I wanted to play it. It's got some clever game design that plays with your expectations, and is a good game overall, but I'm not entirely sure why people are so obsessed with it. Maybe I'm just too old now. I'm just not really into this form of cringe sort of anime style humor that you see everywhere in this game anymore. I'll add that I did a pacifist run, because I heard it was the hardest and I thought that it was the most interesting way to play. The end was kind of a nightmare, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I thought about putting it as the bullet hell square because of how ridiculous it got, but wanted to make sure I got this square first. Since the other event requires a plat for a game to count, and most of the games I have planned for the event are trophy cleanups that wouldn't count here. I was hoping to finish up Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost ON today too, but I am giving up on that game. The game is just way too hard. The game very obviously reads your inputs and throws way more enemies at you than the game was designed for. It got to the point where it was just luck if I won or not, which was just frustrating. I got to area G, and apparently there's still 3 more areas that each get progressively harder. It doesn't help that there's very little information on the game. I couldn't find a definitive answer on what the best suits to use for mission mode were, just to use abilities that boost your damage with the type of suit you're using. but the abilities are unlocked from missions, and a ton of missions are optional and only show up if you completed another mission. And I couldn't find anywhere that told you where the abilities even are. It's just not worth the headache. The base game just isn't fun enough for all of that trouble. One more week left until I lose PS+, so I want to focus on making the most of that. I'll probably do as much of Anthem as I can, since you apparently need PS+ to play it with it being always online, and maybe play Sable for the one word title square. We'll see though.

Lady Love Dies is an excellent protagonist who doesn't let anyone make a fool of her. And Tinykin for the "Redeemed from PS Plus" category. A beautiful and very charismatic collect-a-thon that I recommend to everyone.
Popular Post BeesTrophies
Third entry complete: Dredge. I really enjoyed this game I can't wait to clean up the DLC this weekend! Game You Think You Will Dislike --- The Callisto Protocol. Usually horror and I don't go well together, I'm easily startled which results in me not wanting to progress. That mixed with initial comments I heard about this game on release I was unsure of how I'd feel but surprisingly I didn't hate it. Underplayed (Owned by <1000 Players) --- DC Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. Owned by 581 players as of completion. Popular Post Vanqishd
Hey! I'll also be joining again this year. This is the bingo card I've got: I've cleaned it up and added some of the games I'll be playing, but there's still a long way to go. I still don't know what my entry will be in many of the instances, but for sure I look forward to playing all the games I've put in so far this year. Good luck everyone!
ArtikSkarab
I'm joined this event once before, but got distracted by other big things and kinda dropped it. But, this time, I'll make this event my priority for the year. I already know what will be first: The "For Another Event" square. I'm already most of the way through the Mega Man X Legacy Collection and I will be using that to fill in my X spot in the Protagonist A-Z. Just have to finish both runs of X4 and then all of the X challenge mode. Also need to figure out a way to make a more presentable card...
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
A couple more entries down! Box: "In-Game Weather Effects" Game: "Jusant" An oddball, zen, narrative Climbing Sim, that feels like a direct crossover of Journey and Grow Home. The game has a lot of interesting world building, as the player character climbs a strange, impossible column that has clearly once been a thriving civilisation, long since abandoned due to drought and famine, and there is a lot of good interest built up... ...but the story peters out a little, as it never really sticks the landing correctly, and unfortunately, the game mechanics, while cool at first, quickly show their limitations, and don't works as well with the more linear climbing paths Jusant has, as opposed to something more freeform like Grow Home. Looks very nice though, and does have some great ambient sound and some evocative design. Weather effects are not just decoration here - in higher parts of the tower, the direction of the wind and the howling gales must be navigated right alongside the climbing, to avoid slipping, or being blown off the cliff - and some areas where plant-life is being climbed are affected by things like direct sunlight and heat, so a good fit for this box, I think! Box: "With Minigames" Game: "Tinykin" A game that feels like a throwback to a simpler time, with mechanics similar to some of the more basic 3D platforming collect-a-thons of the PS2 era, mixed with some cool Pikmin-style gameplay, some excellent "Honey I shrunk the Kids" type settings, and a great, fun soundtrack! This is a really good one - not super challenging or long, but very inventive and fun to play, and with silly, simple, but very satisfying gameplay... that even makes a non-3D platforming fan like me enjoy it! Pretty much all of the game feels like mini games to some degree, as each objective is usually a small puzzle or challenge - but there are specific options checkpoint races in each level, and these are definitely "mini-games" so I'm happy with this one in this box! Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
Just copying my text from the Kaleidoscope challenge over for this completion Second square done! Quote I've deciced to put Ship Graveyard Sim into yellow, it's on the border to orange but I think I can find a better orange (or a better yellow, maybe the game doesn't make the final card) About the game: It was somewhere between fun and okay for the first couple of ships, but it got boring really fast sadly. When it came to the grind of completiing all ships to 70% (one trophy said 90, but it also popped at 70) I didn't even play the game anymore, I just took my hammer and destroyed everything that can be destroyed by hammer, and it's enough or close to get the trophy done, no need to get the things done that need a saw or blowtorch. And if I needed a bit more I just took out my mob and cleaned up the oil puddles for quick completion. I bought the game because I saw a video about Ship Graveyard Sim 2 on YouTube, and that game looked way more fun than the first part. But sadly not on playstation. Like last time I'm just copying this over to the Bingo Bonanza, I combine the events whenever I can. This marks my Bingo square of less than 1000 players, the game has 477 owners according to the psnp stat.

I didn’t think this would be eligible at first as I finished the campaign in 2023 but I finished the zombie story mode in 2024 so I guess it can count. It’s for a game with online features. Popular Post ExHaseo
Two more down. My final semester starts tomorrow, so I'll be slowing down a bit. I'm also trying to trophy hunt at least a little bit because I'm broke and need to extend the game time on the games I have lol. B3 - That You Meant To Play Last Year - Shadow of the Tomb Raider DLC - So last year I bought the season pass for SotTR when it was added back to PS+. I originally played it the first time it was on there, and wanted to get the DLC trophies real quick while it was available again. There was a sale and all of it was like $5-$10, so I went for. Then immediately forgot I bought it lol. Right up until a couple days ago when I was doing one last look through my PS+ library before it's gone. And that's when I remember I had bought the DLC. So I downloaded it and started to play it. Originally, I wasn't going to count it for this event, because I thought it would be quick and easy. But then it ended up taking almost 12 hours. Each DLC pack comes with a quest and another tomb to raid. I thought it would just be a quick little thing where they're like, "Yo I found a new tomb," then you get teleported to the tomb and just do it, and it's over, but it was a lot more involved than that. They added new areas and you had to go out to each one. Each one took about an hour, and to unlock a couple, I even had to do some other questlines first. So I'm adding it here. It took me longer to beat than both Undertale and RE Revelations, so I think it deserves the spot. I also went through and cleaned some stuff up after finishing the DLC. I would probably go for the plat, but my PS+ expires tomorrow and I'll lose access to the game. There just wasn't enough time. So I moved on to finish up one more before the end of my break. B5 - Reboot or Spiritual Successor - Valkyrie Elysium - I just noticed there's 3 S's in Successor on the board lol. Anyway, I actually started this for the B3 square, but then moved it here after playing it. I thought it was a sequel to the Valkyrie Profile games, and I guess technically it could be, but it's definitely a reboot. Which is bizarre. What's even stranger, is that it isn't even particularly unique or interesting. It doesn't feel like the kind of game someone was really passionate about making. It's probably the most neutral game I've ever played. It's the definition of "It's fine". There's nothing really wrong with it, but it doesn't do anything interesting either. The story is there. Everything that happens is like, "Yeah that makes sense." But is never really all that exciting or interesting. The characters are fine. None of them are really particularly interesting, but none of them are particularly bad either. The combat is fine. There's nothing really wrong with it, but it's not particularly unique or interesting. So it's just overall fine. Because of it being fairly bland, it's great to play while watching things though. Since you don't really have to pay too much attention to what's going on. So I've been working on the plat while watching upsettingly long Youtube videos. Once I'm done with Valkyrie Elysium, I'll probably start slowly making my way through Tales of Vesperia Definitive for the Takes "Forever" To Beat square, although it will probably end up in the That Gives You Feels square if it's anything like when I played it on 360. I'm just going for story completion there though. I don't think I'm hardcore enough to go for a ~200 hour plat with tons of missables like that anymore lol.
