Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
I didn't forget. Monthly update #1 incoming! I just listed the games and two types of ratings. My personal difficulty rating and a personal rating of how good the game is. I write so many reviews in so many threads that for the sake of time, I'm going to sum it up. Note that just because I give a game a 4, doesn't mean it's bad. It means it's below the average game I played. If I give something a 3 or below, this means that the game is actually bad. Just so people know... 10/10 - All-time great, top 10 game all time for me. 9/10 - Amazing, I would recommend to almost anyone, probably a GoTY contender 8/10 - Great game, it probably has something that really stood out to me that made me enjoy it a lot. These are games I'd recommend to friends 7/10 - Good game, maybe not for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it. It's a good game. I liked it. 6/10 - Decent game, this game has some flaws, but overall my experience with it was good. It's better than your average bear! 5/10 - I'm on the fence about it or it's pretty average in all aspects, nothing really stood out. 4/10 - It's meh. a bit below average game and didn't meet my expectations. 3/10 - This might actually be a bad game. I did not enjoy my time with it, but I maybe I can see something good in it? Would not recommend at all regardless. 2/10 - This game is bad, bad. Do not play this. It's hot garbage. 1/10 - This is in the pile of worst games I've ever played. With that being said, here we go! January Update: B3 - Sea of Stars (difficulty: 4/10, Personal rating 8/10) N1 - Omno (difficulty: 2/10 Personal rating: 4/10) N2 - I am Setsuna (difficulty: 3/10 Personal rating: 6/10)

Popular Post Xhortastic
Second game done. B1: God of War (PS4) for 'Award-Winning' I originally started playing this at the end of December, but I got to Alfheim and then didn't pick it back up until about a week ago. 90% of the story was completed this year, so I believe I'm fine on that front. Now on to what I think of the game, in short it's amazing. I really like the story, I've never finished the previous God of War games (I will get to them some day) but I know what happens and this one just takes it to the next level. By the end of the story I was really glad I got Ragnarok recently and I'm excited to play it soon. I say by the end of the story because after that is where most of the game lost its shine. The 'no loading screens' gimmick got stale fast. I'd rather have a loading screen with loading bar so I can actually somewhat tell how fast it'll go than stand on an elevator for who knows how long. I didn't have a lot of collectibles and other stuff to clean up, but I still got frustrated by the way fast travel points were set up. During the story all of these things were fine, you don't lose immersion, you get some nice conversations, but afterwards? It's annoying. For example I missed an artefact in the mountain area. It took me 20 minutes to get to the nearest gateway, travel to the location of the artefact and get back. Actually picking up the artefact? A few seconds. Just one little change and it would have been less frustrating, they already made sure you can't fast travel until very late, why not make fast travel possible from anywhere on the map once you finish the story? Just plop a mystic gateway down right in front of Kratos. The only saving grace was that most areas did not have respawning enemies. All in all, I'd still very much recommend it. My 'complaints' are more annoyances with doing the cleanup in one day and just wanting to be done. The story is very good, and I'm looking forward to see what Ragnarok brings (I am somehow still completely unspoiled for that game, so I have no clue). Popular Post GeorgeAK199
Gonna be my last update for the month of January. Pleased with my start to the year, absolutely no organisation in terms of what games I have gone for, but checking off 4 slots in the first month is a good achievement (I think). PS Plus Game - Saints Row Game Released In Your Birth Month - Sleeping Dogs Game For Another PSNP Event - Mafia 2 (Completed for the backlog challenge) Game Which Starts With The First Letter Of Your PSN Username - Grand Theft Auto: III Currently working on Alan Wake, thinking of putting that one in the favourite genre slot when I complete it, but not fully decided yet.
Popular Post Sylvanticore
First block completed! I just platinumed Gas Station Simulator and while it could have gone into some others like the Forever to Beat I feel like it works better for Strategy, Simulation, or Management. Popular Post Heather342
Another one down! Cult Favourite -> Ghost Trick Phantom Detective I'd not played this game before, but heard that it was a cult favourite on the Nintendo DS. I saw the trailers for it last year with the new ports to consoles and was intrigued by the premise, plus I do enjoy this kind of detective puzzle game. Also being made by Capcom, and written by the same person who did The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles I was onto a winner here! The game was great fun with loads of twists and turns as you uncover the mystery of Sissel and how he died. Definitely recommend this game! 😁

Popular Post ExHaseo
Got a few more done. I've been going through the games I bought during the holiday while playing one of my favorite games, "Hidden Gem or Shovelware." Where basically I go into the sale and buy super cheap games, generally less than $3, to see if they're shovelware or real games. Partly to support small developers, but also just because it's fun to be surprised. Seems like everything is so over marketed that you don't even need to play a game to know exactly what happens. So it's nice to have something that I know literally nothing about except what the store page shows. It's a lot like when I was a kid and would buy or rent games just based on the case. Anyway, here's what I've finished. B1 - That You Can Beat In One Sitting - Neodori Forever - Last year I played a game called Super Night Riders. A little arcade racing indie game that I absolutely loved. I generally don't like the more realistic racing games, but I like more arcadey stuff like that or Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed. So I've been kind of hunting for more games like Super Night Riders for a while. Which is why I picked up Neodori Forever. I absolutely loved the PS1 looking art style and was really impressed at how accurately they were able to pull it off, so I picked it up. The main pseudo-story mode only takes a few hours to beat, but there was a lot more to do. Like a new night version of story mode that has you racing against the mafia instead of normal street racers, an endless mode, a "zen" mode with no obstacles, and then a purely racing mode. Anyway, this is kind of a weird game. The car automatically moves, so there's not accelerate or brake button. There's just steering and then a drift button. It's really hard to get used to, but once you do, it's pretty fun. It does get a little frustrating at times though, because other cars are on the road, but since there's no brake or acceleration, you have to hit certain turns with a certain level of drift in order to make it through. But cars spawn randomly. So you can do just what you need to to make it through a turn, then get hit by another car. Which can be a little frustrating, since the game works on a health system. You can get hit a lot, but health also just goes down gradually, because it's also your "gas". You can pick up more gas on the course, but the placement is random. And again, you have to hit turns with a certain level of drift to make it through and not hit the sides, and hitting the sides takes away gas too. So there were times where cars would plow into me and I'd constantly miss the gas and end up failing levels because of it. When the game is nice, it's a lot of fun though. Despite the problems, it's worth the like $2 I paid for it. And it was still fun enough that I grinded out the plat. B2 - With a # or Punctuation in the Title - Aer: Memories of Old - I had kind of high hopes for this game, but it turned out to be pretty bad. I really only completed it because it was quick. It was made by a small team, and you can really tell that they're very inexperienced. There's really poor conveyance and level design, and worst of all there's a small amount of input delay. And it's a 3D platformer. Input delay is never good for a platformer. It just makes the game frustrating. If I hadn't needed a game with punctuation, I probably would have dropped it. But it was only a few hours and I don't really have any other options for the square right now, so I pushed through it. I4 - That You've Been Meaning to Get To - Klonoa Door to Phantomile - A little over 10 years ago a friend of mine recommended the Klonoa series to me. Shortly after, he had a brain aneurysm. So I put off trying it out for a long time. It helped that it wasn't available on modern consoles for a very long time. Everything he's recommended to me I've liked though, so when it got a modern port and I saw it on sale, I finally decided to try it out. At first, I was confused. It felt like a game for babies. It was painfully easy and I ended up dropping it out of boredom. I couldn't figure out why he recommended it. Then I realized, he played this as a kid. That's why he liked it so much. It was probably one of the first platformers he ever played. So I pushed my way through it. It does get a bit more difficult towards the end, but never too crazy. I'm sure it was a lot better back when it was first released, since it had the novelty of being 2.5D when there weren't many other games like that yet. I'm glad I finally played through it, but I'm also glad it was pretty short. I5 - Releasing Your Inner Weeb - Eternal Radiance - Another game I picked up on sale, and I'm glad I did. It kind of feels like if Idea Factory made a Tales of game, except it's full action game instead of having to go into battles. It's one of the most anime things I've played in a while. It's extremely predictable and is basically one big trope. It was a fun game overall though, especially since I only paid a I think $4 for it. It was really bizarre playing a game without a plat though. In the days where you can get a plat in a matter of seconds from shovelware, it just seems odd to play a real game without a plat. I think the only game left that I got from the holiday sale is Resident Evil 3 Remake. It happened to be released my birth month, so that's pretty lucky. Especially since I'm trying to get as many squares filled as possible without getting a bingo lol.

Popular Post plimaz-
This year I decided to post monthly updates of my progress, so here's what I did this January! First of, I played Sea of Stars for the That You've Been Meaning to Get to square! I'd been dying to try this game out ever since it released last August, so I took the opportunity to finally get to it. Really recommend it to everyone who enjoys turn-based RPGs! I can't wait to see what Team Sabotage is cooking up for the DLC and whatever their next project may be And well, after Sea of Stars I had to try The Messenger out, so I'm putting it on the Adventure square. This game was great! The levels were great, the jokes were very funny, def a big recommend. The Yakuza games are also really popular and would probably fit the theme 😊

Popular Post Baker
Game #6 done: That takes ‘forever’ to beat. Awesome game. I just finished the story and it was very good. Normally I would post here when I have 100% trophies but I’m now around 60 hours in and I will probably spend another 60 hours on it. I always say this when I finished a Yakuza game.
