Popular Post StraightVege
All Trophies Collected #313 Yikes. While I vaguely remember Outlaw's predecessor having some similar problems of its own, it certainly wasn't this painful to play. A rather disappointing game in most respects, I'm sad to say. Former smuggler Juno Markev was the player's aunt in the original, but she's been upgraded to protagonist this time around. See, her husband was allegedly murdered by a scary dude called Ruth (short for Ruthless), so now Juno's out for revenge. Trouble is, after years of settling down to run a legitimate business, she's gotten pretty rusty when it comes to bounty hunting, thus her first encounter with the guy doesn't exactly go as planned. Following a brush with death at Ruth's hands, Juno's high-end fighter craft is destroyed, leaving her stranded on some Podunk rock. Reluctantly, she's forced to call in a favor from an old friend, Orzu, who's "kind" enough to loan her a shabby garbage scow for transportation. It's here that the game begins, with Juno needing to work her way up from the bottom, in order to track down the elusive Ruth again. Let me assure you that this narrative sounds a lot better than it actually turns out. There's an interesting twist or two along the way, but the main story is pitifully brief, ending in a shockingly anticlimactic fashion. Industry veteran Lani Minella tries her damnedest to voice the surly Juno, a character practically written specifically to her strengths, and her abrasive attitude is largely endearing. Notwithstanding, some lines sound really bad, as if they were recorded in one take from a home studio. At least the soundtrack is unquestionably stellar, fitting the "wild west in space" theme like a weathered glove. Several radio stations are available, offering not only great tunes, but also biting social commentary. The advertisements sound straight out of a GTA game, brutally mocking the police, consumerism, and more. Legit funny, so there's that. Outlaw has some of the roughest progression I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with, due largely to the ill-conceived difficulty scaling system. Dare to upgrade your ship beyond the starting junk heap, and you suddenly have dozens of enemy craft obliterating you with missile spam, even early on. It reminded me much of the notorious Elder Scrolls scaling, where leveling up outfitted bandit nobodies with top tier armor and weapons. From the beginning, it's really in your best interest to equip your ship for asteroid mining, and just flee from conflict (using the touchpad to talk your way out of trouble is helpful) until you farm up enough credits to purchase a fully upgraded fighter class ship. This only takes a few hours, and makes combat easy enough for the rest of the game. Unfortunately, it also leaves very little for the player to strive for throughout the remainder of the experience, with money becoming nearly useless. Still preferable over the inability to make progress, of course, but having nothing to look forward to obviously sucks. This game's complete lack of respect for the player's time is infuriating, to put it mildly. Traveling the systems to complete missions can be extraordinarily tedious, since your craft's auto-pilot is constantly interrupted by hostiles, friendly ships in your path, and distress signals, not to mention the obnoxious transition cutscenes for every tiny action. Distress signals can be disabled, but they frequently switch themselves back on (WHY?) without you noticing, until your ship grinds to a halt yet again. Missions taking place in a faraway location are a total bore to reach, and I can't see any reason for RGO not to include a proper fast travel system, other than it being a shameless method of padding the otherwise short playtime. Every system and station feels more or less the same, as well, which doesn't help matters. Much of this could perhaps be forgiven, if the dogfighting was good enough to compensate. Nope. Sure, it's visually spectacular at times, but also extremely reliant on the auto-follow target feature to be manageable, to a degree where it often feels like the game is playing itself. Mostly, you hold down a shoulder button, while loosely aiming your shots, and occasionally adjusting power sliders for shields, engine, and weapons. Sometimes, it's necessary to dump any remaining power into shields, when you need to quickly recover from a nasty hit, or you could even need to escape from the battle entirely to recharge them. For the most part, though, encounters all play out too similarly. Honestly, some old titles like Rogue Squadron had more satisfying dogfights than RGO does. Maybe things might have turned out better if they had adhered to the first game's formula of massive capital ship battles on a horizontal plane, which had much in common with the pirate ship gameplay in Assassin's Creed IV, and worked well overall. I did enjoy the ability to call various buddy wingmen to your aid, however. Over the course of the game, you meet a number of potential allies, and after doing a few questionable favors for them, they become available to assist you. Usually, they only stick around for a couple of skirmishes before needing time to refresh cooldown, but having a skilled pilot to cover your tail drastically increases survivability, besides livening up the usual repetitive radio chatter a bit. I think Outlaw still has its moments—love the soundtrack, Juno is mostly likable, role-playing as a miner or merchant can be surprisingly relaxing, and there's definitely rare occasions where you feel like a total badass in the midst of large-scale fights. Nevertheless, considering the subpar story, poorly thought-out progression, insufferable navigation, and unsatisfactory combat, I'm frankly not comfortable recommending this to fans of the original or otherwise. And, I haven't even discussed the technical issues yet: bugged missions that inexplicably won't advance, chugging frame rate, and crashes (I had three). Altogether, it's a cryin' shame. When the deed is done, there ain't no forgiveness, I ain't a believer, I'm a bad bad man woman:

Popular Post mackenzie129
#183 Heir to the Cowl Gotham Knights Difficulty: 2/10 maybe and a stiff maybe 3/10 Enjoyment: Subjective/10 maybe 6-7/10 Kind of glad I didn't fall into the hate train, It's no Arkham Knight or City, But honestly it wasn't that bad I enjoyed myself story was good, gameplay was good, overall it was good. Now it does have its issues, Traversal SUCKS, graphically it does not feel or look next gen (wouldn't be surprised if it got a last gen port), and of course its repetitive and very much so. My personal biggest issue and it is a spoiler Spoiler I was sold on a court of owls story, I got a bit of that sure but it reverts to a F*cking Al Ghoul story and I'm so fucking done with Ras and Talia being the focal point of batman related stories Buy it on sale hopefully they give it some more love in the future
Popular Post Viper
#295 Saints Row (2022) Completionist Oh boy...I don't even really know where to start with this one. When I first started playing it, the first couple hours, I was wondering why everyone hated it so much. But...the more I played the more I understood. Saints Row is an interesting topic for me. I have sang this franchises praises for a very long time now. Back in 2008 when everyone was talking about how great GTA IV was...I was over here like "yeah but Saints Row 2 is way more fun". And I still feel that way...it doesn't have the Rockstar polish that GTA IV had...but I far and wide preferred SR2. But of course...no amount of my praises would save the franchise from its "it's just copying GTA" criticisms...which forced Volition to go a different route with Saints Row: The Third. A wild, wacky, over the top sandbox game that leaned very hard into its comedy roots and just went batshit crazy...but I still loved it! And when Saints Row IV came out, and most people shit all over that...and funny enough started saying how much they missed SR2 (the same people that caused the franchise to head in the direction it did in the first place)...I was still on board, I enjoyed what SR4 gave us no matter how out of left field it felt. So I was one of those people that really wanted a proper Saints Row 5...craziness and all, I was ready for more. What we got instead....this....reboot. I'm not going to sit here and say I "hate" this game, it's not the worst thing in the world and I think some people were a little too harsh on it. But it's definitely my least favorite game in the franchise, and if we never get another Saints game again...I get it. There's two major things here and one minor thing that kept this from being something at least passable in the eyes of gamers. 1. Minor thing: The cast of characters are terrible. Your Boss character, Eli, Kevin and Neenah in no way feel like people that would be friends. The game tries very hard to build this relationship between them as something meaningful, but they're all such caricatures of real people that it all just feels like a gimmick that doesn't work. But worst of all, they don't feel ANYTHING like a street gang, and even though the game is trying to go for more of a criminal empire feel, these people aren't believable in that role. Maybe the boss is depending how you create them...I liked my boss character, I gave him Male voice 7 and who ever did the acting for that did a great job...the only reason I even chuckled a couple times at some jokes were because of this actors comedic timing and delivery. But my guy didn't seem like a guy that would associate with the other three. I saw a post from someone back when we got the first trailers for this that summed up these characters perfectly, they said "this new cast feels like the type of people the OG Saints would have bullied"...and it's so true. Shaundi, Gat and Kinzie would be ashamed that these are the people that brought the Saints back. 2. Major thing one: The story is fine...it's whatever, you can tell this is the first game in what Volition was hoping would franchise itself again. But the story is but a bite of the overall game you're playing here. Because the rest of it...might as well have called this Side Activity: The Game. While side activities are nothing new to Saints Row...it's all this game really is. You have to build up your empire by laying down criminal ventures, which are just hubs, so to speak, for the differing activities you do in this game...such as finding trucks with chemicals and driving them ALL the way across the map, but if you hit ANYTHING they start to explode so you have to drive at high speed before they're all gone. Or doing heists, or hijacking vehicles and getting them from Point A to Point B in a time limit...there's 14 different types of activities, only a few of them, such as the classics like Insurance Fraud or Mayhem, are any fun, and the ones that are the least amount of fun usually had you doing them the most often...some of these had you doing them like 12 times...the same thing, 12 times. And you couldn't get to a certain point in the story without completing these. It was just monotonous work. 3. Major thing two: The game feels dated. It just feels like an early day sandbox game where you have stuff littered on the map and you go do it and that's all there is to it. You can cause chaos and steal cars and fight rival gangs (all of which are equally as ridiculous), and that's all well and good...but you just get this sense of "I've done all this before". There's nothing here that says this should have come out in 2022. It feels a lot like SR2 or 3...but those games had the excuse of being what the are due to their time period...sandbox games have evolved so much since then and Volition does nothing with it. I guess another negative would be the gunplay...It's passable, it works. But it's so dull and unpolished and unsatisfying. There's no oomph to it, and it always feels like you need to reload at the worst possible time...like the game had this uncanny ability to time it's reloads when you need to keep shooting the most, it's hard to explain without seeing it happen. Driving was also kind of the same, it had this weird timing where an NPC car was just in your way at the worst possible time. Not to mention the AI was horrible...the number of times you're running from the cops so AI cars swerve INTO you instead of the other direction was crazy. I played this after a major patch came out, so I didn't have any game breaking bugs (though I still waited to do the co-op trophy last as it was said to screw up your challenge progress, didn't want to test if it was fixed or not). But there's just a lot of tiny nagging annoying little bugs that hit you from time to time and there's things about this game that if Volition just modified it a little bit it would feel like a quality of life improvement that should have been there all along. I don't want to say I didn't have ANY fun at all, but as a Saints Row fan this was a pretty big disappointment in my eyes. Volition got on the fan bases case about their criticisms trying to say the world has changed so their game should to...but this ain't it guys.

Pretty easy plat in my opinion 266 (Ps5) - Foreclosed Short and easy platinum, the story and the gameplay wasn't so bad, I suggest it for all the Trophy Hunters 267 (Ps4) - Foreclosed Why not the Ps4 version? 268 - A Pleague Tale: Innocence Amazing story and gameplay, I had a very good time playing this game, not very difficult in regards of trophies 269 - The Garden Between Very short and fun puzzle game, I finished it in 2 days I think 270 - South Park: The Stick of Truth I was expecting a much better game because so many people spent so many appreciations on this game. I found it pretty basic, and if we remove the South Park world it' s not so great 271 - Demon's Soul It' s Demon' s Soul, nothing more to say! I played the original game, and this one is much much easier in terms of trophies. The graphic is something else, and I think is one of the only game that is able to show the power of the PS5 272 - Virginia I have to admit I only played it for the trophies, I don' t have much to say 273 - Ice Age: Scrat's Nutty Adventure I have to admit I only played it for the trophies, I don' t have much to say 274 - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Very beautiful game, pretty easy and fun. I found it maybe too long and repetitive in some parts 275 - The Medium Even this one is pretty short, the story is good, and the gameplay reminded me the Ps1 games Edited December 10, 2022 by Sailar91

Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #310 Kaze and the Wild Masks Wild One - 36,17% A tribute/loveletter to the Donkey Kong Country series. The protagonist plays like Dixie Kong, there are secret bonus rooms inside the levels, you collect four letters per level that spell the name of the protagonist and there are the masks which functions like the animals in DKC. It was a really fun game but it has a few very frustrating moments, especially on the No-Hit and Time Trial runs of the levels, that are needed for the platinum. Platinum #311 Moonscars (PS4, EU) Moonscarred - 36,17% A 2D souls like metroidvania (and my first platinum in that genre). The artstyle is almost entirely held in shades of grey (over 50) and red. For a 2D souls like I found it on the easier side. Your healing is tied to your magic energy, which can be refilled by attacking enemies and you can find an amulet, that let you tank damage like a certain masochistic paladin, relatively early in the game. There are a few missable trophies involving different characters but with backup saves you can get the platinum in one playthrough. Platinum #312 LEGO The Incredibles It`s Showtime! - 29,45% It`s a LEGO game, nothing more, nothing less. This time with the license to The Incredibles and other Pixar films. For whatever reason, the game starts with the 2. movie and let you play the first afterwards. This is the first time, that I saw level specific trophies in a LEGO game and I hope it will be the last time, because they where either from the so easy, what`s the point or the frustrating (Racoon them up) category. The Plane Crazy trophy even fits in both categories. I tried a good hour to get through that sequence unhit but never managed it thanks to bad controls and faulty hit detection. In my frustration I looked up a Youtube video that doesn`t help me, but one commenter wrote that you can get through that sequence, by doing nothing in the first part and push the left stick to the left in the second part and it worked! All in all it is a LEGO game and I had fun with it, but from the ones I played I would say this is one of the weaker entries in the series.
Popular Post Achtie
#58: Adventures of Mana Platform: PSVita Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Time: 19 hrs Adventures of Mana is a remake of final fantasy adventures on the gameboy. Having played neither before I was pleasantly suprised to find out this game was available on the vita. I thought i bought all the games that I still wanted to play before the so called "store closures". Well I'm really happy that they didn’t go through with it as it’s only digitally avaiable. The gameplay is fun and the soundtrack is just amazing! The worldmap is really a maze. which isnt so bad if you just need to progress the story but if you wanted to backtrack it was easy to get lost. Luckily i didnt have to do that very often. The only thing that was a tad annoying was the inventory system which is limited to 16 slots. Its more full than empty considering that you also needed to bring keys to open doors and hammers to break rocks. The Hero of Mana

Popular Post disaster500
#54 DOOM (2016) Played it for free with PS Plus Extra. It was a lot of fun killing hordes of demons. The weapons are great (obviously) and the everything is just so cool, the music, the levels, the presentation etc. Even the few games of multiplayer I played for a few trophies were fun, which was a surprise considering the last multiplayer mode I played in a singleplayer game wasn't very good (cough Uncharted 4). Some of the trophies are very buggy though, they might not work if you use Mission Select. I followed PowerPyx's guide to get all the collectibles first time through the levels, and farmed weapon and level challenges in a few areas if convenient. The only thing I needed to use Mission Select was a few level challenges, and thankfully the trophy popped. I highly recommend though, just make sure you get as much as possible on the first time through levels to reduce the chance of trophies not working properly. I'll definitely play DOOM Eternal at some point.
KenjiCBZ
#86: SpongeBob HeroPants The Real Hero (51.14% - Common) Get all the Trophies This is a SpongeBob game available on the PsVita that has been delisted years ago, and it's very hard to find a physical copy: as of my writing, prices online are of at least 90€. Thankfully, I somehow managed to find a copy for around 45/50€, a definitely more affordable price. For some reason, the Xbox 360 and 3DS versions of this game are much more common. Reviews of the game online are very bad, and as such, my expectations were very low. But surprisingly, I found the game to be pretty decent: not a very good game, at all, but very far from being the amount of shit I was expecting. The game consists of only 15 levels, just like the Ps3 game Plankton's Robotic Revenge, but unlike that game, here you can't simply rush to the end ignoring the enemies, because there are some little puzzles that need to be solved, in order to progress. Also, the platforming element is definitely more present compared to the Ps3 game, making this game better, in my opinion. Still miles away from Battle for Bikini Bottom, obviously. About the Trophies, most of them are very easy and come along while playing, and I only needed to read a guide in order to get the last few collectables I had missed in my run. The only problematic Trophy is the one that requires to power up all the six characters, because you need a lot of coins to do so: I had to grind for 4/5 hours in order to obtain enough coins, and I really wonder why the Platinum is so common, considering that grind. If it wasn't for the fact that this game is very expensive to buy, I would recommend it, it's not that bad. Popular Post Biertje373
Platinum #67 Sonic Frontiers Trophies Completed! Fun: 9/10 Difficulty 2.5/10 Time: 30 hours (thank you in-game timer!) I'll be honest, when I bought Sonic Frontiers, I was really worried, Sonic had quite a few rocky years so when I bought it I felt like I did it with a huge risk. Thankfully this risk paid off because this game was great in my opinion. Let's talk about the positives and the negatives, starting with the positives: + The massive worlds were a lot of fun to run through and there was always something to look forward to, be it a memory token, a challenge to reveal the map or a fun level. + And the platforming levels were overal a positive experience, I did not S-rank every level but the ones I did were worth. + The music was legendary in my opinion, I don't think that there's a single soundtrack that I felt meh about. + For someone who doesn't like fishing in games I have to say that the fishing in this game was a joy, it's also one of the best way to collect stuff in this game. + The bosses is one of the best part of the game, sure they're easy but I had so much fun with them. Now like I said, there are some negatives, but they did not strongly affect my enjoyment of the game, but they're there. - There were certain challenges (mainly for Chaos Emeralds) that were my least favourite part of this game (looking at the Pinball minigame) - Some pop in issues. - And the camera can be a massive pain from time to time. Like there's probably so much more that I could talk about, but I don't see the need, the game is so much fun and I kinda hope that they use this game as a foundation for the next game and improve it, because if they do I will buy the game. And here's the platinum screenshot, I love it so much!

ChiefMichigan
Platinum #188 Magus I first played PS3 games on PS Now about 2 years ago and got a PS3 about a year ago. However, Magus is my first PS3 plat. It would've been a waste of money to get it on PS3, so I streamed it on PS Plus Premium. Magus is a weird PS3 exclusive and yes it sucks. It's a really easy plat, though. Considering my PS3 doesn't have a working disc drive, easy PS3 plats are pretty rare. Granted, PS3 had far less easy plats and no press X plats. And that is almost surely a good thing. There's probably about a 95% chance this will be my last platinum of 2022.
