Popular Post s68sc
#129 Platinum Difficulty 2/10 (with Exploit) - Fun 7/10 An overly simplified ARPG with some Diablo Elements, it wasn't that bad but honestly, if it wasn't on PS Plus Extra, I would never have played it, the story is in the background and the gameplay is simple but effective, I did enjoy the first 12 hours, the last 6 were a chore for the grind fest.
Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2649: Paw Patrol: Grand Prix (EU PS4) Not too deep into this 7 billion dollar franchise, aside from the hilarious discussions about it: a kids show which combines cute puppies and cool vehicles that manipulates children to a neoliberal ideology (goverment bad, private companies good), people believe that. Also cancel culture to have Chase, the police puppy, removed because apparently police cannot be shown in a positive way since George Floyd. If you are sane and just in for the platinum, Paw Patrol's kart racer is an easy game that can be completed on a weekend. The kart racing genre is a bit oversaturated, and this game does little to stick out from the mass. On the Switch console this game competes with the Mario Kart franchise, and for the Playstation 4 the target audiencecan pick the indefinetly better Team Sonic Racing. Platinum demands to complete Adventure mode with all nine pups (three of which are locked at start) and their human leader Ryder, which means 170 races in total, after your first playthrough you have basically seen everything the game has to offer, except for each character's special. The tracks are by the numbers, you only get a story with stills, and the villain (Mayor Humdinger) only slightly annoys you during the races which are easy even on hardest difficulty. On Easy you can hold down X and the game steers for you till victory. There's little action during the race and it gets old pretty fast. On the good side, they have all the original vehicles of the series (but not those from the movie). You also need to complete a 4 player splitscreen race, so better have four controllers. Having a 4 player couch co-op is also a plus in my book. There are far worse games out there, but tons of better kart games. If you like Paw Patrol go check for the other titles of that franchise, because Grand Prix gets old pretty fast.

Popular Post ShinySpidey
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 Time: around 60 hours This game is another From Software's masterpiece. The combat system is really satisfying and the atmosphere is incredible. I always felt I could beat every single boss as long as I was willing to put enough effort and time. Some bosses have been particularly troublesome and required me something like 30 tries. I haven't much to complain about, aside from the fact that some mini bosses appear way too much in the game (basically in the same form) and the fact that there's a sort of penalty when you die consecutively (around every 10 times), that affects NPCs' quests and that is very annoying. Platinum wise, it's a typical FromSoftware list, the only tedious trophy is unlocking every skill, which requires a lot of exp. It can be done either farming at the end of NG+ or, even better in my opinion, at the end of NG++ (even though 2 runs are enough for the platinum assuming save scumming). Even tho Elden Ring is still my favourite game played this year, Sekiro comes in a close second. Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #127 & #128 Light Fairytale: Episode 1 & Light Fairytale: Episode 2 Light Fairytale is an indie JRPG that blends modern graphics with an old school gameplay and storytelling. It currently features 2 Episodes, with a third coming out next year. I did not like the story on the first episode. We start the game with Haru's, the protagonist, mysterious dream and are throw in a world that we know nothing, and the game does not do a good job in introducing us to it. Aside from the characters relationships we dont know why they are there, what they do, etc. Story elements keep popping out of nowhere until the end. The second episode tells the story in a better way. Not only it introduces the characters and events better, but its expand on an area of the world. Helps that it is more interesting, and I was engaged until the end. Graphically the game does well in both episodes, and I felt that Episode 2 made improvements. I liked the art style used on the sprites. The OST for both episodes is very good. The gameplay is as simple as can be, straight out from an old JRPG. What does have a bit of complexity are the equipments, where you have orbs the give access to elemental skills and can be used in different body parts (equipments) to various effects. There are even some combinations. But like the story this system is not properly introduced, so you have to learn for yourself. The platinum is not hard, but both games are riddled with many timed, missable trophies. I strongly suggest you to play both games with a guide, as to not require an additional playthrough. But the trophies itself are really simple. I felt that the first game had the dumbest trophies that I have ever done. The second one has a better list. I feel bad criticizing a game made by a small team like this one, but I must be sincere: I did not like Episode 1. I found the story uninteresting, the gameplay boring and the trophies idiotic. I just wanted it to end asap. Just the music and the art style was not enough. I had low expectations for Episode 2, but my experience was more positive. The story is better, the additonal levels made the combat more interesting, and we have a bit more items and equipments to use. Given the price and the fact that it is a very short game I would recommend Light Fairytale. Despite the overall positive reviews online I did not the first Episode, but I feel that the second one makes up for it. Hoping that the third one comes even better.
Popular Post RoastedPeanut
#212 - Sonic Forces A Sonic Hero (3.91%) Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Honestly, I really enjoyed this one. Sonic has copped a lot of flack over the years, but I've always really enjoyed the 3D games. This one was really fun and it was pretty cool having your own customisable avatar for some of the levels. I enjoyed trying different weapon combinations to see what the abilities did. The three different types of levels were pretty cool, but if anything, it was the "classic" Sonic levels I enjoyed the least. I recently platinumed Sonic Frontiers as well, which got me in the mood to go back and platinum this one. This was by far the superior game. Some of the speedrun missions were a bit tough and my god it was frustrating when I would miss out on a run by less than two seconds (especially the final boss in under 4:30), but I still had with everything. There's a bit of a postgame grind for 100,000 rings collected, but it's easy enough to knock off playing a certain level which can net 999 rings in under 90 seconds. While I'm currently in the mood to play more Sonic I might go back to Sonic Colours now and finish off what's left for the plat Edited December 19, 2022 by RoastedPeanut

Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #313 Sword and Fairy 7: Together Forever (PS4, AS) Sward and Fairy - 71,86% I played the Asia version and have no clue why the cömpletion rate is so high in this version. The platinum was easy for the most part, but I needed 30 hours to get it. The game is an Action RPG set in a chinese fantasy world and has a really good story, likeable characters and looks gorgeous (for the most part). It has it`s jank and the hit feedback could be better, but I really liked it and would even put it in my personal games of the year list. Platinum #314 Candle: The Power of the Flame Completionist - 50,66% Adventure that is set in some kind of handdrawn mayan/ aztec fantasy world. The gameplay reminded me a bit of Oddworld Abe`s Odyssey (direct character control, puzzle and stealth to go past enemies but they can kill you if they see you). 2 trophies for lighting a certain amount of candles glitched positivly for me and unlocked before they should. Platinum #315 Zorro: The Chronicles (PS4) A True Legend - 40,54% Babys first Arkham game. Based on a animation series (that I not watched) this game is heavily inspired (steals) by the Batman games. The game was boring, because you do the same thing in every level (find a few things, guarded by enemies, to interact with a bigger thing, guarded by more enemies, and then call your horse to leave the level). Most enemies can be defeated by spamming the attack button (when the enemies are fancy then you must jump over them or use your whip and then spam the attack button or use the (recharegable) insta kill move)

Popular Post Juzota
#160 - Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Be Yourself Collect all Trophies --- Short and sweet experience. I wish more open world games would feel this compact. There wasn't anything extra, except the required NG+ run for Platinum. That felt kinda unnecessary, but thankfully the main story wasn't too long. The story was alright, combat was good and I really like Miles as a character and as a Spider-Man. But the best part of the game was just swinging around the NYC, just like in the previous game. I don't know how to explain it but the movement just feels so good. Definitely gonna play the Spider-Man 2 whenever it comes out. Hopefully Peter and Miles gets equally play/screentime in it. Both are great characters! Also the cat needs to be back, the real Spider-Man. -- Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 8/10
Popular Post Archer_EPSILON
Red Faction Platinum 3 - 3.51% I love, love, LOVE this game, mainly due to the nostalgic feels I get from remembering playing this on the PS2 many years ago. Sure, it hasn't aged gracefully in parts, but it's from a bygone era of FPS's without recharging shields and with straightforward, linear campaigns. Additionally, its GeoMod technology was lightyears ahead in terms of destruction in an FPS. The plat for this requires at least a hefty four playthroughs as the difficulty trophies do not stack, but it wound up taking SEVEN because "Righteous Cause" refused to unlock a couple times through. I think I'll continue the Red Faction wave by going after Part 2...it's a decent game in and of itself, but frankly, left me disappointed back in the day as it veered away from its superior predecessor in almost every way.

Popular Post Valzentia
#122 - Adventure Time: Explore The Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! Difficulty: 6/10 Fun: 6.5/10 An Adventure Time-themed dungeon crawler should sound extremely badass on paper. Unfortunately the execution here fell short, especially with the Nightosphere grind (it's SO FUCKING TEDIOUS). The level variation isn't very good either. Regardless, if you REALLY enjoy the show you'll probably get some fun out of it (like I did thankfully), but if you aren't a hardcore fan or don't collect sub-1% platinum trophies then don't even bother.
