Popular Post Bloke
Platinum #43: Battlefield V Overall, this platinum was fairly straightforward compared to the other Battlefield titles. Boosted the majority of the multiplayer with a great friend of mine. Campaign was tough in a few spots, but overall very doable. Would recommend this as an easy FPS platinum for anyone looking to enter the Battlefield series. Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 3/10

Popular Post Boomshanks
( 79) PROTOTYPE PLATINUM TROPHY Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 8/10 Another PS3 game off the backlog. I’d played this game once in 2011 but wasn’t a fan so I dropped it and only came back to it this year. But hey, a completion time of 11 years isn’t that bad right . Is it just me or is the platinum image very ugly. Mercer looks stoned as hell. Prototype is not a very good game in my opinion. The setting of Manhattan is much too big and it’s very ugly. The traversal can be fun but it takes waaay to much time to get around the map. You can glide for a few seconds but afterwards you just fall from the sky like a bag of bricks. And there are so many huge buildings that are such a chore to go over that it’s better to just go around them. The missions also make you go from one end of the map to the other all of the time, it sucks. The story is also terrible. Alex Mercer is meant to be a bad-ass so every cutscene is basically just a secondary character spilling out some exposition and then Mercer finishing it off with a one-liner. I just can not take it seriously. The Web of Intrigue is a cool idea to slowly flesh out the story, but it’s very underutilized because there are barely any notable characters and the entire plot can be summarized in just a few sentences. The combat is pretty good at times, but where Prototype just loses me is with all of the design decisions in missions. They throw so much stuff at you, it’s just not fun anymore. In a mission you have to collect samples while there are machine gunners, rocket launchers, tanks and helicopters firing at you. Oh and the infected hunters are also attacking you and in the meantime you have to protect the hive that is spewing out the samples. There is so much stuff after you that it becomes incredibly frustrating and it goes against the idea of being a supervillain that can just tear through everything. The game is also pretty hard. I was dreading getting the platinum medal in all of the challenges throughout the map. It was the one trophy that kept me from picking the game up earlier. And it happened to be the trophy that I enjoyed going for the most. The movement trials are very strict but with enough practice they can be completed. When I got stuck on a challenge I looked for other strategies on the internet and could usually get it that way. The hard playthrough was very tough but manageable in small doses, even though it was very frustrating at times. There are waay to many collectibles in this game. There are 50 hints, 200 landmarks and 131 Web of Knowledge nodes. The hints orbs are the dumbest collectibles I have ever seen. When collecting one, you get a hint – which are so incredibly basic they just tell you how to jump and sprint etc. Wow. I missed one of the landmark orbs on a playthrough and there is no way to check which one it is so I had to start a new game and collect all 200 of them again ⚰️. All in all, I’m not that big a fan of Prototype. The gameplay is pretty good and the challenges were fun and the game is definitely difficult so it’s cool to have it on my list. But there are just too many design flaws that kept me from truly enjoying my time with it. I’m glad I got the platinum and the amount of games I have left to plat on the PS3 keep getting smaller and smaller. Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#126 - Trivial Pursuit "Platinum Trophy" Difficulty: 3.5/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 I played this one to satisfy the Educational category for the Platinum every genre challenge. There's no digital version available, so I had to order a used copy on eBay; it was less than $10 and arrived in pretty good shape. I suppose it could be a fun game if you actually played it with other people as a party game, but playing solo isn't very exciting. If you do decide to play this game for fun or for trophies, just remember that this game came out in 2009, so you'll need to put on your 2009-era thinking cap to answer some of the questions. I encountered a couple of questions where the actual correct answer changed between 2009 and now. #127 - The Playroom VR "Master of VR!" Difficulty: 4/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Yet another batch of party games, this time intermingling the VR player and TV player(s)! I had a fun time playing this one with my kids. It has a mixture of co-op games and competitive games. And for the low price of free, I can't really register too many complaints with this game. Earning the platinum is definitely easier with a co-op partner, but everything can be done solo with some practice and patience. . #128 - Ratchet: Deadlocked "Hero of the Shadow Sector" Difficulty: 2.5/10 Enjoyment: 7.5/10 I completely missed this one during the PS2 era and hadn't even heard of it until I found the trophy list on PSNP. I'm working my way through the Ratchet games to catch up on my gaming history, and this one's pretty good. The platforming elements are removed almost entirely and the story is very thin, with a primary focus on combat instead. There's nothing terribly difficult or grindy, and even the weapon leveling isn't too bad. #129 - TOEM "And that completes the list!" Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 A delightful and adorable photography game. Photography in video games normally isn't my bag, but this game makes it fun with abundant cuteness and fun humor. When you reach the end and experience Toem, remember to look down at your Dualsense... #130 - Déraciné "Déraciné" Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Another VR platinum experience, complete with FromSoftware storytelling done through the environment and in-game lore. It's a good game, but wrestling with the camera was frustrating on multiple occasions. There's no Soulslike combat or horror with this one, but there's a good story to unravel. Try not to get too frustrated when you get stuck in a wall or clip halfway into the floor.

harper2704
Almost there with homefront the revolution. Just got to finish the campaign on the hardest difficulty, it will be a most pleasing platinum as I almost gave up on the game as I couldn't get into it, I gave it another shot a couple of months later and managed to get a bit further in but it still didn't capture me, however I picked it up again a week or so ago for one last chance before I deleted it as it is taking up 60gb and for whatever reason this time it really got it's hooks into me. Super rare platinum as well at 2%.

Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#426: The legendary gluttonous wizard! I was lured in by its cheap price, average Rarity percentage, and rainbow colored Platinum. I'm just lucky all the other platinums in the series don't look as appealing as this, or I would have wasted a lot of money. Now that's mostly because this game just really isn't for me, never been a fan of the arcade bullet-hell klusterfuk visual type of game, which is what this is. It's also full of unfunny anime humor, so I guess I was pretty lucky that it is an fairly easy Platinum to get. Still very annoying. #427: Platinum Another game I played trying to get the most out of my monthly subscription. As I said in the status update, I'm glad very video gamey concepts like this still exist, but I'm pretty happy to be done with it now that I have the Platinum. I don't really see myself going back for the DLC anytime soon. I have to say unlike most people's experiences, the bits where you are overpowered and tearing through everything or the best part; this isn't a very nuanced game when it comes to the gameplay, so when I was under levelled trying to chip away at other enemies and bosses with the basic barebones chomp chomp combat, and constantly having to run away to refill my health, it got really tedious.
Popular Post StraightVege
My Work Here is Done #311 Almost too good to be true that one of my favorite childhood series was continued all these years later, but I'm delighted to say that Streets of Rage 4 is, indeed, a most excellent beat 'em up—perhaps even the finest I've yet played. Whether you're an old school fan or a newcomer, there's scarcely little to dislike about this modern interpretation of Genesis era brawlers. Syndicate crime boss Mr. X is only a distant memory now, but his wealthy offspring, the Y twins, are keeping the shady family business alive. Worse, these ruthless siblings seem to have the corrupt police force in their pocket (Bad cops? What an unrealistic game!), bringing the city to its knees once again. Naturally, this prompts the old gang of Axel, Blaze, and Adam to reunite for more violent urban reform, with assistance from some familiar faces and cool new heroes. Narrative isn't exactly of prime importance for this genre, of course, but I enjoyed the more contemporary story and diverse character design overall. The cutscenes are extremely well-illustrated, and provide enough motivation to keep busting heads. Even for someone who's awful at fighting game mechanics like myself, the "easy to learn, difficult to master" combo system is very rewarding. A variety of simple attacks can be chained into one another, leading to a spectacular series of satisfying hits. Enemy tactics vary enough to keep battles fresh throughout, while animations are smooth and incredibly stylish, with each character feeling properly different, and exhibiting so much personality in their unique movesets. Feels so good to play! Kinda wish every character had dodge and sprint abilities, though, because some are painfully slow to control. Fabulously pleasing to the eye, the artwork is ultra crisp, vibrant, and downright sexy. Seriously, this has to be one of the best looking side-scrollers I've seen so far. They also had a challenging task ahead of them in living up to the legendary retro soundtracks, but they somehow knocked it out of the park, featuring both original composers and special guests, such as the prolific Yoko Shimomura. Altogether, the experience is a blast, even across multiple playthroughs. I rather appreciated the small customization options, too, like the ability to alter the appearance of your health pick-ups (mine were fruit baskets and cubed tofu, haha). Please permit me a few gripes, however. It's unfortunate how the game's higher difficulty settings and DLC survival mode basically necessitate mindlessly spamming overpowered Blitz attacks to succeed. This saps a lot of the fun, besides irritating my frayed hand tendons something fierce. As with most any beat 'em up, several frustratingly cheap elements exist. For instance, whenever there's a pit in the ground, expect anything the baddies hit you with to magically send you hurtling directly into it, regardless of how far away from the hole you were. Although the vast majority of SoR4's backgrounds are densely packed with impressive detail, several look disappointingly poor, with the worst example being the late-game boss encounter which takes place in a betting arena. The spectators there are not only too static, but vary markedly in quality, as if they were all drawn by different artists, in shocking contrast to most of the game's visuals. On the subject of bosses, nearly all of them have irritatingly long power-up animations when their HP meters drop to half, interrupting gameplay flow. Totally unnecessary. That's essentially everything I can think to complain about, which obviously speaks well of the game. For the most part, I adored SoR4, and will probably continue to play it for some time to come. A worthy, near-perfect addition to this beloved franchise. GRAND UPPAH! Also, Shiva is unfathomably based:

Popular Post MakotoKaCun
Platinum # 117 Horizon Forbidden West All Trophies Obtained Finally completed Horizon Forbidden West in the PS4. my original plan was to get the PS5 steelbook version first. But did not managed to get one, so I go for the PS4 steelbook. Anyway I also still waiting for PS5 slim to come out first then buy it. Other then that is the Previous company issue which not willing to settle the salary issue and most of us have 2 or 3 month of missing salary. It was a tough time, everthough I help completed & shipped the game, guess is time to move on. Anyway Horizon Forbidden West is definitely a step up as the 2nd game in the Horizon world. Building up so much on the previous one. Story, side cotent & collection everything is pretty well done. But I hope this is the last game we will have Rebel/Bandit Camp mission. Other then that I also hope to have the previous game shield armor instead of being a skill now. But mostly I have a fun time with this game. w Anyway I hope we can see when the 3rd game will come out. Or maybe just a DLC to end the series so they can move on to new tittle. Either way it will be exiting! Anywawy serously is time to move on to GOW Ragnarok!!!!
