Popular Post MStalker58
#65 Darksiders BFA I loved this game. It's been said many times but the best description of this game is God of War meets Zelda. I don't think Darksiders is quite on the same level as those games, but even a lesser version can be pretty damn good. While it may not be very original, it is still a very fun and entertaining game. The combat is very similar to God of War or your typical hack-n-slash (although not as hard/complicated). The rest of the game is filled with exploration, dungeons, puzzles, obtaining gear that opens up new areas in previous areas, and other mechanics you would expect to find in a Zelda-like game. The platinum wasn't very hard and the game is easy enough to pick up, that starting on Apocalyptic difficulty wasn't challenging. The hardest trophy was probably "Aerial Predator" where you have to kill 160 enemies during a flying segment. This is the only flying part in the game and the controls for it aren't great so it can take a few tries to get used to. It took me 4-5 attempts but it wasn't anything very difficult. I will say that I ran into a few glitches during my time with the game. The most frequent was when first loading the game, the usual "Start" screen would appear but it would sometimes take over a minute before the "Continue" option or your save files to finally show up. The first time this happened I started freaking out thinking that my save files had been deleted or something. Also, there were a few times that the game would just completely freeze in the middle of combat. Another time, a certain part of the level didn't load properly and I basically just started falling in an endless loop. These freezes only happened a few times and were fixed by simply restarting the game. Luckily, the game saves at frequent checkpoints and with manual saves, I usually didn't lose any progress. These didn't ruin the game or anything, but they are worth mentioning. Overall, I really enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't given it a try in the past. Looking forward to starting on the sequel.

Popular Post Xillia
#21 Grim Fandango Number Nine Ticket Get all other trophies in the game. I finally went back to Grim Fandango to do my tank controls playthrough and some other trophies I'd missed. I didn't get to play the game when it came out since I was like... 4 then. On the other hand, it's one of my boyfriend's favourite games and he has replayed it many times, so it was mandatory for me to play the remaster. He watched me play through all of it and refused to help me, except the two times I got REALLY stuck (printing the right betting ticket and escaping the boat). It was definitely one of the best games I've played and I loved Manny so much, I couldn't get enough of his commentary. I just had to get the platinum. The tank controls were killing me though, I'm glad that I did a separate run for it because it would probably affect my first experience in a negative way. I have no idea how people were able to play like that. Edited September 7, 2015 by Xhillia
MeteorHawk
Platinum #58 Trophy of Zeus God of War HD- PS Vita Edition Enjoyment: 8/10 (10/10 on PS3) Difficulty: 6/10 (4/10 on PS3) After platting Ascension last week I thought I'd turn my attention to the Vita edition of the God of War HD remaster. Having been a huge fan of GOW since it first came out and platted it on the PS3 nearly five years ago, I was looking forward to revisiting this old friend once more. Whilst it was still a lot of fun, I have my gripes. Having been so used to playing the game in the past at 60FPS, I found the downgrade jarring. The Vita controls also didn't lend themselves very well to the gameplay, so I found it extremely annoying when switching between the Blades of Chaos and Blade of Artemis. The balancing sections were infuriating as well all thanks to the dodgy controls, falling to my doom no less than 40 times during the Challenge of Hades! The Challenge of the Gods was also far more infuriating than I remember. My skills in God of War aren't exactly bad- I completed my first playthrough on Hard just a few minutes shy of earning the trophy for beating the game in 5 hours- something I managed on the PS3- but had to play through again using the dairy bastard costume and did it just below 3 hours. Between platting Ascension and this, I also replayed Chains of Olympus so as to be playing the games in chronological order before finally getting to GOW III Remastered. I'm a major fan of the series so I very much look forward to revisiting the others- I must now replay Ghost of Sparta before platting GOW II Vita next!
Popular Post Kittens Are Awesome
#59 Red Faction: Guerrilla Red Faction: Guerrilla What an awesome game. The single-player campaign story is surprisingly good. What really sets this game apart from other 3rd person shooters is the nearly full destructible environment. There's nothing like taking a car bomb to a big ass suspension bridge and detonating it from a distance. So yea, if you haven't already guessed, the main protagonist is pretty much part of a terrorist organization, aka, the resistance....rebels. However, the antagonists really deserve it. They are straight dicks who murder Mars colonists for whatever reason they see fit. It feels real good fucking them up or blowing up an important structure of theirs. The ending is definitely satisfying as well. As far as the plat goes...holy shit. There's a good reason the plat is under 1% completion. This is a grind fest. Everything is super grindy. From the single-player campaign trophies to most of the MP trophies....grind grind grind. To top off it being a major grind you really need 8 people to grind out the MP...most of it at least. What a PIA. I definitely recommend people play this game. Play it on an alt account if you need to. The SP campaign is worth it. As usual, this game was freaking amazing and I loved every minute of it. Go check out my Platinum checklist for my full, yet crappy because I had to make them spoiler-free, thoughts. Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#65 - Infamous Second Son Really cool game, if you only play it once. It plays smooth, looks great and is fun for the most part. The story is probably the weakest link... it's not bad, but it's nothing special either. Unfortunately it suffers the Infamous syndrome, which is the 2nd playthrough. In all of the Infamous games it' becomes a drag. It would be nice to see different powers and a completely different story route for the karma choices, as for the most part they tend to be the same no matter which karma you choose to stick to. Oh, and screw unskippable cutscenes, I hoped with new generation games and consoles we grew past that shit. Bloody nuisance >.< Enjoyment: 7 (would have been 8, if the 2nd playthrough wasn't boring as hell) Difficulty: 2
Popular Post AJC3317
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - This Pattern is Mine Beautiful game with a very sad story. However what makes the game work, it's slower story focused pace, is also what made the trophy hunting a bit of a chore. But the trophies are all pretty easy so it wasn't that bad
Popular Post FrenchDevil54
Onechanbara Z2: Chaos Congratulations!! This Must Be Your Favorite Game Well, I can't say this is my favourite game, but it's a decent hack and slash with a not-so-grindy plat. Popular Post Haihattelija
ICO #9 Enlightenment Ico is surely an interesting experience but I feel some of its trophies were not suited for this kind of a game. It's a puzzle platformer with quite heavy emphasis for story and setting a mysterious mood. Achieving the hardest (and only hard) trophy requires you to complete the game under 2 hours. That doesnt sound so bad I guess but guiding helpless girl with sometimes frustrating AI, a bit clunky controls and a camera that loves to take weird angles at wrong times can be recipe for frustration. Overall I did still enjoy the game and I recommed it to anyone who is interested in it. Especially since because HD version comes with SOTC.

Popular Post dein-the-dragoon
#1 Assassin's Creed 2 Master Assassin Unlock all trophies. When I'm honest, this was quite the best Platinum to score. Plus, it happens to be my very first Platinum ever! Assassin's Creed 2 has wrecked my nerves sometimes but was also much fun. Especially with all the funny scenes (for example: Maria and Ezio Auditore arguing about outlets and girls or Minvera breaking the 4th wall) that are in here, one can also get some laughs! There are some annoying trophies like the Sweeper or No-Hitter or maybe In Memoriam Petruccio but also some very easy ones like Lightning Strike or Red LIght Addict - but all in all I really enjoyed the time with the Forentine Assassin. And there's a surprise: I've also gut Brotherhood and Revelations to go to Platinum! Edited September 7, 2015 by dein-opa1
