Popular Post AK-1138
Platinum #786: Kona Difficulty: 2.5/10 Playtime: 6-8 hours Cowabunga, duuuuuude! Doest thou, like, hunger for bodacious waves and righteous babes on a sunny sandy day at that way cool Kona coast? YOU DO?!? Bro, that's like, the tubulariest!!! Chyeah my lil' grommet, the mood is right, the surf is up, we're here tonight, and that's enough, so LET'S GO SURFIN' NOW EVERYBODY'S LEARNING HOW COME ON AND SAFARI WITH MEEEEEEeeeeeeh, what's that? Hang on a minute, getting a call here... Yeah? What? Are you serious?!? Well SO'S YER OLD MAN!! *click* ...Riiiight. Mondo bummo, lil' duderino and/or dudettearino... I've just been, like, informed that the subject of today's hoary diatribe is not in fact the point of derivation for a mid-tier Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 level, or a mid-tier Brian Adams wrestling gimmick. It could, in fact, hardly be further flung from the sea and sand where nothing ever goes as planned... so, uhh, you got your board all waxed up for nothing. Bummer, dude. Still, lowered chances of getting them grody melanomas and stuff, I guess... Hmm. Well. Yeah, so this particular Kona (the name will make sense in context to those who take the plunge, or otherwise possess certain esoteric knowledge) is aboot murder, mystery, and mayhem in a snowy French Canadian town in the 7-tease, eh? Hell, ya can't even go surfin' on the internet, as one Aloysius Kensington Gore had yet to have his chance encounter with the internet gnomes... whose incredible tube technology he then repurposed in such a way as to allow you to waste your time reading dodgy reviews, listen to LEGO Yoda's death screams for ten hours on a loop, and watch perfect strangers touch pussies in ways both wholesome and otherwise. Still, the decidedly non-surfable North has its own charms to offer. Well, usually I eschew the reductive and condescending label of "walking simulator" but in this case... shit fucking tracks. Despite possessing a magical teleporting truck, you'll have to trudge across this oddly arboraceous tundra, mile after mile, beating wolves to death with a crowbar in a miserably sober state, all in the name of the Hunt... and there's things worse than Sting watching every step you take around here, pilgrim. The kinds of things that make death by lead-filled snowshoe bludgeoning seem comparatively merciful and humane. Yep, yore off the edge of the map, ya hoser... here there be... WINGDINGOS!!! ...Unfortunately, cryptids who hunger for your scrumptious medulla oblongatae are far from your biggest challenge to overcome. You see, this is a game what makes the fundamental mistake of combining obtuse puzzley detective type activities conducive to blunders and failed spot checks with said aforementioned laborious lumbering about. It isn't quite so unintuitive and unforgiving in this regard as certain others of its ilk, much owed to brevity, but all the walking sours much of any accrued goodwill at, ahem, a highly contrasting pace... concordantly, the concession of guide consultage borders on the objectively necessitacious, a practice which as you know, resides as ever in the deleterious domain of demeritoriousness. Meaning... It's a shame too, because purely atmospherically--if I may ever so briefly embody the transcendantly mellifluous locquacity of the great Robert Service--the game's the proverbial malamute's nutsack. Yes, even as an inveterate chionomaniac who nevertheless abides by the cardinal rule that any snow is a pretty good snow, I was thoroughly impressed by the sleetastitude so boldly showcased. The bone-chilling oppressiveness of the ceaseless blizzardry of it all possesses a strange and forbidding beauty all its own... and all on a budget largely furnished by patronizing shitstarting crowdtrustfunders and local arts grants and all that good shit. Really transportative stuff that holds its own against a fair few TRIPLE AAAAAAAAAA efforts... and such things always inspire heartfelt commendations bereft of irony. Unlike its untold billionages of little digital bits of frozen precipitation however, the remainder of the presentation borders on the decidedly dry. The writing, mostly functional yet occassionally partial to some winsome wry wit, is let down by some alternately tawdry and amateurish voice acting... chief amongst them the narrator, whose unintentionally(?) campy delivery undermines the seriousness underlying the story. Not helping matters at all is some... quirky... character animation. Ironically, the fidelity of its more readily praiseworthy stylistic aspects previously discussed only ever serves to heighten awareness of just how little creative cohesion is extant. All told, though host to a bit too expansive a contingent of ill-advised indietastic foiblery--especially ones that explicitly compound the flaws of other ones in some kind of a recurring feedback loop type deal--to be considered anything exceptional, but they were made with convincingly good intent and that goes fairly far with me. It's also short enough for however you decide to tackle the limitation-based trophies--seeing as conceding one will usually make another run easier--to prove less of an issue than it might have been. Well, it did a good enough job of cheering me up on a lousy snow-meltingly warm day anyway, so... I'll cut it some slack despite its faults. If you want a few hours of hyperborean whodunnitry, you can do way worse............. eh. Final Score: 6.5/10
Popular Post Redgrave
#308: Bakumatsu Boss - Like a Dragon: Ishin! When it got announced that this was finally going to come out after not localizing the original I was excited to play it because the idea of a Yakuza game taking place in the Edo period was cool. Now that I have finally played it, I wish I could say it lived up to that excitement but that doesn't mean it's a bad game or disappointing but I think as far as it being a remake they don't do very much in the way remaking things that felt like could have been better and oddly enough remade it in the Unreal Engine as opposed to the Dragon Engine for some reason. For starters I know that apparently the reason they didn't localize the original was because of it being something of a historical game and I guess they were worried that people outside of Japan wouldn't understand it and presumably this would lead to another Dead Souls situation. Personally I think they could have despite that since I don't think there is anything wrong with presenting a historical kind of game even if a lot of people wouldn't fully understand it but that's just me and I understand that they also have to think about sales. That said, and I don't know if it was in the original but in this remake they add a glossary in the subtitle boxes that if you press Options with it will tell you what a certain word means like "Edo" or "Kyo" etc. which I think is a great way to get around the potential confusion. That said I think the story was coherent enough but if you know anything about the other Yakuza games, then seeing the familiar characters faces can make it kind of easy to guess what the plot twists will be for the most part. Still it had some cool moments and a couple of the boss fights had some cool presentation. In particular I like the move Izo does where he pinches his blade behind his back and then does a heavy swing. Unfortunately where the game does stumble is the side content. It has some of the usual minigames like singing that I liked and I even liked the Courtesan game, mostly for the Rock, Paper, Scissors bit and also because I liked the song they sang. It's also funny if you fail the drinking minigame because Ryoma will spill sake all over himself like he forgets how bowls work. But in terms of sub-stories they are mostly the same in a bad way. You know how in Yakuza 0 and some of the other games there would be a character you have a bond meter with where you interact with them a certain amount of times to raise it? Well, that's pretty much 99% of the sub-stories and bonding requirements in this and it is very very tedious. There are far too many characters that in order to raise their bond meter you have to run around and either give them items they need (such as food or medicine) or just other useless stuff you don't need in order to raise the meter or complete their sub-story. Sometimes, you will have to give them multiple items several times in order to completely max them out. This is incredibly boring and tedious because this means having to repeatedly talk to them to give them an item from your inventory several times and a couple times it will be medicine that you might want to keep yourself. Other times it is food or just random junk but either way it got old really quick and it was difficult keeping track of all the NPC's you needed to remember. I imagine this game is a nightmare if you are scatterbrained and get distracted easily like I do. There is also the dungeon system which I suppose is fine but you are expected to grind it a lot for the blacksmithing. This is where the Trooper/card system comes into play and I guess I didn't mind the system very much although I didn't use it like I should have and wound up having to grind out using the cards for the Diligence Record for using them 1,500 times. In the spoiler is talking about the blacksmithing. There are no genuine spoilers, it's just for brevity's sake since the post is already long enough. Spoiler Then there is blacksmithing which takes up a good part of the completion and is kind of a stain on this game as far as I'm concerned. I think if everything else in the game was a 10/10 experience, then the blacksmithing would be the thing that stands out and acts like a bad mark on it that undeniably keeps it from being perfect. I really don't know what they were thinking with this system and the fact that they make you do everything for it to 100% it just comes off as sadistic. At first glance the blacksmithing sounds good because you can make good weapons with it however all the good weapons cost not only a hefty amount of money that you will have to grind for if you want them, but you also have to rank up the blacksmithing level to make them which takes a lot of money to donate the amount of swords needed to do it. So really, you're encouraged to use the blacksmithing but unless you want to make a painful and unnecessary grind early/mid-way through the game then you won't really get any mileage out of it until after you actually beat the game. The other thing is that as far as the swords you can make, there are only two that you actually would want to use because they can stunlock enemies easily. So really, the blacksmithing as a whole is almost useless because you don't really need to do it for the main game and you would only want to do it for the dungeons or the Arena so you can use the Vortex pistol. Then there is the Seals. Good lord the Seals. You think just making all the weapons and equipment for completion is enough? Nope, they want more and that comes in the form of the Seals. Basically the Seals are things you place on your equipment to give buffs and they are useful but much like the swords and other items there are only a few out of the 45 you have to get that are actually worth making. Thankfully they did patch the game to where the drop rates are increased so enemies can drop Seals along with other materials more frequently but the fact that they had to patch the game for that just tells me that they didn't think the whole thing through. Not all of them drop either or if they do it is very rare. The rest you have to make through crafting but that's where the fun part comes in. You see, you can't just craft an item with the Seal you want on it because whether or not you get a Seal is completely up to RNG. Simple right? Wrong! Because the RNG system is based on a "seeding" system which means that you have to reset a "seed" every time and hope you can get a piece of equipment with the Seal you want on it. So you can't just save and reload, you have to manipulate the system and pray that you get what you want. I honestly feel like I just got lucky with it giving me the Seals I needed on some equipment but it unfortunately also meant that I had to use up a fair amount of money and materials which meant needing to farm some more. And to top it all off, if you craft a piece of equipment with a seal but it has three golden spikes around it you can't remove that seal to use it so you have to keep making equipment and hope it gives you the Seal you need that is removable. So yeah, the crafting system just sucks. It's not fun to do, it's not intuitive, it's barely useful but if you want that Platinum then you have to do it. This is where they really dropped the ball on the "remake" part because as far as I understand they slightly changed it from the original when they should have completely remade this system. They should have made it where the prices aren't so high for one thing, and then have it where there are other ways to get the Seals such as the Virtue Shop or something. Having to manipulate some garbage RNG system is not something any sane person wants to do. I'm not normally a fan of crafting systems to begin with but some games at least make it tolerable or enjoyable in some way but this was one of the worst ones I have had to deal with and it would probably be the worst one thus far if I had not played Star Ocean: The Divine Force which had a crafting system so RNG heavy that I just could not be bothered to go for the Platinum in that. Thankfully the blacksmithing is the worst part while the rest in comparison isn't that bad. I liked the Another Life thing where you run a house with Haruka and I enjoyed the farming and cooking minigames there. Everything else as far as completion goes is like the other Yakuza games where it's a lot of mundane stuff but they are fairly simple to chip away at once you know where to start. They were rather merciful with Mahjong this time around where all you have to do is get I think 30,000 points and like Yakuza 3, the Thirteen Orphans hand saved me from that. I got lucky yes but the fact Mahjong only took a few hours to do is a speedrun compared to the other games that don't let you use the cheat items. Aside from the grindy blacksmithing, I read the Courtesan and the Buyo Dancing minigames were considered Platinum stoppers but I honestly didn't find them that bad. Buyo Dancing was fun even if it was kind of confusing that you have to pay attention to two separate prompts at a time but I think having to make the first rank as opposed to Buyo God helped. The only hard part of the Courtesan game was doing the Sensual Healing on Asura difficulty which is where it's like a bullet hell game but I feel like it is deceptively simple since there is a set pattern to it and once you get it down it's mostly just trial and error. Other than that there isn't much else that stands out. There are Ultimate Battles but in comparison to the other games they were definitely a lot easier. I managed to do them all in a few hours despite only having like four hours of sleep with trial and error. The final one being Ultimate Challenge 5 which sounds like it will be hard because you have to fight eight bosses with no healing in-between but the Wild Dancer style along with the Gun style make the bosses easier. With the Gun style you can just play keep-away with the bosses in the more open arenas and Wild Dancer's rush combo can stagger them easily. There is only one boss where you are forced to use the Brawler style but thankfully he is easy to read and you can get a good number of hits on him before he counters or recovers, and I think it is after that one they throw a joke boss at you that you can beat easily. All in all, I am glad that I got to play Ishin but at the same time I feel like for a remake they could have done more. Not like a complete "from the ground up" remake but more like they could have improved on some of the mechanics and side-content to make them less tedious and more enjoyable. It also makes me look forward to playing Gaiden and Infinite Wealth since I know those are not supposed to be anywhere near as grindy. Despite my complaining about the crafting and the sub-stories I still think if you like the Yakuza games you should give it a chance but just expect to grind a lot, probably about as much as Yakuza 5. I went through a few Star Wars audiobooks grinding out stuff, so I guess if you intend to play it definitely make sure you have stuff to watch or listen to. Either way, glad I can add another Yakuza game to my Platinum list. You want to know what really saved the day though? They don't tell you about it but there is an accessibility feature that lets you hold down a button for combos. This applies to the gun as well which means if you make the Vortex, give it some Armor piercing rounds and double-shot, you can now hold square and now trivialize 99% of the fights. Again, it's considered an accessibility feature but I call it a convenience feature because the grinding would have been 100x worse without it and my thumb would have become a mangled mess.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #350 Stellar Blade EVE Protocol Acquired all trophies. Wasn't sure about what to do for 350, but the timing of this game was nice because I really really loved it. It's also the 16th Annivesary of living with my (now) husband. It's not perfect, but it's easy to forgive some of the shortcomings because of what does work and when you consider this is the first console game that Shift Up have made as a studio. And while I don't know anything about their mobile game(s?), I don't think it's anything like this. First, the soundtrack is amazing. It sucks it's not coming out until summer because I want it now. The second to last boss song is one of my favorites. It's so good, I'm listening to it now. A lot of songs have a very Nier vibe to them. Probably going to go down as one of my favorite OSTs. I played the game in balanced mode based on Digital Foundry's testing of each performance mode that seemed the best way to experience and it was very smooth. Red hair Eve >>>>>> As soon as I could change her hair and saw her in red, I never looked back. She's stunning. And I changed her bangs and totally forgot what her default hair actually looked like so now it looks weird to me. I love finding the various outfits, some are just hidden, others require puzzles to solve. I like most of them, but some of the censored ones are a downgrade for me. I really like the world, it's nothing new for sci-fi, but it's enjoyable and personally I really enjoyed reading all the codexes in the game for once. They're mostly all short final memories of a person so it kind of helps you understand the mindset of those who were living in the world and it really shows the hand of the story if you read them. But the story without them is pretty straight forward and predictable, but again personally that doesn't bother me. It's the journey for me that matters. And it's a fun one. I will say the characters are a bit underdeveloped. Most of your time as Eve with Adam and Lily is remotely talking to them through the drone. A few missions where you had to actually go somewhere with one for some reason would've been a nice way to more directly interact with them. I enjoy each scene with them and can believe the friendship that develops with what's there, but as far as connecting to the player it's a bit harder. Same with certain other minor characters in the story who have a connection with Eve but aren't on screen enough for a lot of people to care about. I thought it was fine, but I've seen many complaints there. Side-Quest givers, the more characterized ones, are okay but not hugely important. There's a lot of cutscenes which is nice, and I think the overall presentation of them is good. Though the facial expressions are a bit stiff the majority of the time. I played in Korean so the lipsync was mostly fine. My NG+ run I did toss it into German and some of hte lip sync is WAAAAAY off. There's a line like something like, "Okay, let's go." But the line is delivered without pause and the animation for the lips is completely independent of it. It was really jarring. I skipped most of the cutscenes there, but I actually quite liked what I heard of those VAs. English from the LPs I've seen (and demo) I feel are a bit flat at times. I don't blame the actors it feels more like a direction issue. The combat is really fun and there are a lot of abilities that are hard to keep track of for my pea brain. But I fumbled my way through normal in the end. I think the game is really quite forgiving and dont' think people should think of it as a Soulslike even if it has 'camps' (bonfires) equivalents. That's about it for comparisons. I see the Sekiro comparison and while I've yet to play that one (this kinda makes me want to since it forced me to parry a lot) and just from what I've seen that comparison makes a lot more sense. You even can get items in the game which revive you mid-combat from death like in Sekiro, only it's a consumable over the mechanic in that one. It also unlocks a ton of abilities beyond just your starting pool which really help make the game a lot easier. The second set can make you invulnerable to damage while charging and the third makes you invulnerable in the duration of it. I will say that while it didn't bother me, there is a lack of area themes. The two open areas to explore are deserts. It would've been nice to see a wider variety there. However, I found them both fun to explore and think the game handles exploring really well overall. And it's nice to have a game which has so much vertical thinking in how it hides things from the player because you really need to look everywhere. It suffers from yellow paint. It's especially egregious in this game since you already have the scanning of the environment which shows you the marker for the quest progression and the handholds it painted yellow. It's just highly unnecessary. Do a set up stairs that you can only go up and around and then up need yellow pain on the wall to show you the way? I don't think so. But alas. The more linear areas are awesome, and exploring those fully is really fun. Though a map in them would have been nice. Even if you only got them on revisits. I like the QoL stuff like teleporting back to quest givers, "hint" in the keycard entry which reveals what it was in your inventory. And there's a surprising amount of neat little puzzle minigames to do and I enjoyed most of them. Other than the directional input one with the randomized order of them. Those can be really hard to do quickly. :"D Although they are rewarding to do. I wasn't quite expecting there to be any scaring parts in the game, but there are some areas that were really creepy and were a nice change of pace to keep things fresh. The game is filled with different things that it throws at you at the right time to shake things up so it never feels stale. At least to me. Fishing minigame is a lot of fun, though in the end I had to disable the trigger's feedback because it was just too difficult to hold the reel in place with it rumbling. I like how they designed the minigame and it's fun to play, only criticism would be that certain spots you fish it's hard to even see the fish so there's some guessing on the direction to pull. One pretty large issue is platforming, I don't think it's as bad as a lot of others. The main issues for me are very specific wall running where the walls are too small so it's hard to get the timing right. And just clipping through ropes and sometimes ladders. And not grabbing a ledge, which is pretty common if you're too close to the edge when you jump. There are also some annoying invisible walls that prevent some neat ways to get places that you should be able to with the abilities given to you. So that's a bummer, but the game does let you do some neat stuff with it too so it's not all an issue. I still need to level up some in another NG+ for 100%, because I just wanted to plat the game asap so I didn't spend too much time on it today, but I can't wait to play it some more. I can't think of much else specific, other than the fact that I just think the game is really awesome. I would love to see some DLC for more Tachy and Raven. And I kind of want a Castlevania DLC because Raven looks so much like Shanoa. And Konami does random cross overs so who knows. Then again I'd love Digimon with a Angewomon and LadyDevimon too.

Popular Post reaperveteran86
Platinum #403 Cyber Citizen Shockman (PS4/EU) Platinum# 405 Cyber Citizen Shockman 2: A New Menace (PS4/EU) Platinum #406 Cyber Citizen Shockman 3: The Princess From Another World (PS4/EU) Shockman Supreme! - 91,30% Shockman 2 Supreme! - 89,19% Shockman 3 Supreme! - 80% I bought part one and two on release day but never got to play them, so with the release of part 3 (which is the last part in the series - there is a 0/Gaiden episode, but according to wikipedia, it has nothing to do with the trilogy) I finally decided to play them (allmost) back to back. The games are action platformers with a heavy focus on story/cutscenes in part 2 and 3 (3 especially felt like an forgotten 90s super hero ova with animated cutscenes and voice acting), similar to the Valis series (which would also be cool to see on playstaion). Part one was the weakest one in my opinion with recycled enemies/bosses and controls that felt as if the character runs through mud the entire time. It is a hack n slay, where you fight enemies primary with a sword which is ditched in part 2, where your primary attack is a chargeable beam shot, which make this one more similar to Mega Man. It also adds shoot em up levels to the game. The controls fell still a bit stiff, but the game is an overall improvement compared to part one. Part 3 turns back to the hack n slay gameplay and gives you the sword as the primary weapon back. It is also the best of the 3 games by far, with better controls and presentation. The games are published by Ratalaika, so like most of their games, the trophy lists are very easy to do, with cheats that don`t disable trophies, like bosses can be killed with one shot or invincibility and a rewind function on top. Popular Post KenjiCBZ
#131: Omen of Sorrow The Mountain of Madness (0.67% - Ultra Rare) Earn All Other Trophies. This is a dead fighting game that has been abandoned and left to itself by the devs, consisting of an easy but grinding Trophy list. Additionally, it looks like some Trophies have been broken for years before surprisingly being fixed, which also explains the rarity. Trophies that actually require to play I don't think take more than 20/30 hours: you need to play the Story, Arcade, Survival and Vs modes (A second controller is obviously required), as well as to boost the online with a second console or with a boosting partner, which is super easy to do since it's deadier than dead. In the process of boosting I actually encountered two players: with the first I couldn't fight since it disconnected me in the player select screen, with the other I actually had some matches which I won all with ease. I don't like 2D fighting games at all but I guess being good at Tekken paid off. Also fun fact, thanks to this online self boost, I am now at the top of the in-game leaderboards, for some reason even above of the other Platinum achievers. 😂 By the way, after having done all of this, you need to gather a playtime of 5 hours with all but one of the 12 characters (No idea why Thalessa is not required) and a total playtime of 100 hours. This can be grinded by staying afk with the desired character in the Vs mode, and I did so while being at work, away from home, or while sleeping. Ezpz sub 1% Platinum, but now that I advertised it, I don't know how long it will stay as such. 😂 Since I'm only the 11th achiever, this is the Platinum of mine with the least achievers, beating the previous record of 186 of Brawlout. With its 0.67% rarity, it's also my third rarest Platinum, behind only PlayStation VR Worlds (0.71%) and WWE 2K18 (0.54%).

Many people say that this game is a callback to retro RPGs, but my history with those kind of games is very limited; the only ones I've played are Pokemon games. This game is so very good and colorful; it has really beautiful pixel art and the music really set the vibes/mood for this game, since this one has no voice acting at all. The story and characters are solid; nothing mind-blowing though. The combat and exploration is fun, but it got really tedious after I got my first ending when I was cleaning up collectibles for trophies; I wish you could run from battles or just have an option to disable enemy encounters after the first ending. Trophy wise it's your standard complete the main story, finish all important side quests and collect all collectibles kind of list. Lol 69 damage to finish this random enemy Zale was actually surprised what Garl was doing in his pants CROUSTALIOOOOOOON!!!!!!! We are about to withess a homicide of Garl Very Nice

What a ride! Probably my game of the year. Over 200 Hours but it was worth it. There’s something for everyone here, there is varying difficulties with challenges but with practice and perseverance anyone can master it! This game is a big milestone for me because it was the game that got me my first ever trophy back in 2015. I really hope the next game, however long that will be, will be on a playstation and not held from us anyway now i will go back to playing this game for 100% Congrats On 5/6/2024 at 4:04 PM, ZoKu08 said: Nobody Saves the World #354 Nobody Saved the World All trophies unlocked. 16.95% Rare Congrats

Popular Post thorryhartmann
platinum 37 ac valhalla. glad I don't listen to people's critics. I think it was a good game. beautiful game and lots of things to do. I especially liked that they went into Thor mythology time I spent in the game was around 280 hours and I took some of the dlc. when it's said, I'm easily distracted in games so most people would probably have spent less time than me. platinum 38 ac mirage started this right after valhalla. because of Basim who had a hand in the history of Valhalla. a bit about his background. felt this game was a few notches weaker than valhalla. know that this game is a shorter game . it was a decent size for the map, but I wish they had put in a little more content. for example dungeons or legendary animals. spent about 58 hours on this game. was not the best but not the worst either. enjoyed the end of the story

Popular Post BlinkWinkel
#267 - Gal Gun: Double Peace (PS4, EU) Incredibly fun game!!! I platinumed the NA version on Vita many years ago and really enjoyed it, so I wanted to replay and platinum the European version on PS4. Since we no longer get amazing ecchi fanservice games like these anymore nowadays on Sony consoles due to their censorship shenanigans, might as well enjoy replaying my favorite ones instead I plan to double platinum Gal Gun 2 as well sometime soon. Popular Post OmriStyle27
#82 - Asterix & Obelix XXL: Romastered (PS5) - The village’s best warrior! Earn all the trophies ------------------------------ I loved Asterix & Obelix as a kid and as a 90's kid i have a soft spot for licensed games because so many of them came out in the late 90's and early 2000's. So i had to give this one a go since i've never played the original Asterix & Obelix XXL game that came out in 2003. So basically this is the remastered version of that game and let me tell you , this is turley the definitive edition of this game. first of all , you can play the original 2003 version in this Romastered version so there is no reason to go and get the original one , just buy this one and have both versions. Second of all , this game is really charming and looks great with the new graphics , it's also feels a lot smoother to play and runs a lot better. the story here is as same as any Asterix & Obelix game or movie , the romans attack Asterix & Obelix village , kidnap the villagers and Asterix & Obelix have to save them , very simple and enjoyable. the gameplay here is were this game really shines , a fun hack and slash/Beat 'em up platformer which is one of my favorite gaming genre. About the platinum - don't let this cute artstyle game fool you , this game lives in the same neighborhood of Crash Bandicoot and Sackboy. A game that only looks cute and easy but in reality it's actually really hard. the trophy guide gave it a 7/10 which is pretty accurate in my opinion , this game requires 2 playthrough , one on any difficulty and another one on Extreme difficulty. the Extreme difficulty playthrough was really tough and a bit frustrating , some section of the game looked almost impossible to beat due to so many enemies in small areas , and the fact that you die in a few hits. but with a lot of practice and a lot of patience it's doable , some battle can take like 10-15 minutes just because you have to be patience and can't just rush in and attack , once i realised that it was a lot more manageable. also this game have course challenges and time challenges (same like crash bandicoot more or less) which are hard as well and also take a lot practice. i really like platformers so i didn't mind the challenge and really enjoyed the whole exprice , i will recommend this game to people that are good and like platformers and also looking for a challenge. I'm planning to get every Asterix & Obelix platinum in the future even tho the other game in this franchise are not hard as this one , this one was easily the hardest Game - 7/10. Platinum Difficulty - 7/10 Fun Fact - I'm currently the 39th person to ever achieve this platinum on PS5 and the 10th fasts achiever of this platinum.
