Popular Post Jermster_91
#176 DC League of Super Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace Seeing how this game is gonna be leaving PS+ Extra later this month, I had to knock this game off before it left. What you get is basically a on the rails type of shooter where you destroy Lex Bots using Krypto or Ace and just have to finish the level. There are 15 levels overall and at the end of every 5th level is a boss. Difficulty wise, the game is a 1.5 out of 10, the only trophy that might be a challenge is a trophy for not destroying any lex bots in a level, other than that, the trophies are easy. It should take more than 2 hours or so for you to complete it if you happen to go for it.

Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platinum 193: Dave the Diver ~ Small part of me wishes I had earned two more plats before this so I could have gone "Platinumed 195er - Dave the Diver!" like I was a video game bingo caller. Anyway, this was a fun title. Heard good things about the game before it got released but for some reason - possibly confusing it with Dredge - I thought it had more of a horror aspect. I was wrong. This is a very chill game that's ideal for unwinding. Meshing a diving/hunting gameplay hook with a restaurant sim works really well as both support each other. You hunt fish to sell which earns you money which means you can hunt fish better. The whole gameplay loop was fun to dip in and out of. It's not going to be for everyone (and what game is?) and there are a couple of bits that are more of a chore to get through than others but generally, it's a game I'd strongly recommend to most people. The writing/humour/charm appealed to me so even when there was a bit of a grind, I was inclined to stick with it. Trophy wise, it's not too bad a list with nothing being particularly challenging. There's a bit of a grind/time sink into some of the trophies but if you work that in with other aspects, it's less of a chore. Plus with the added Dredge/Godzilla content, there's a bit of variety there so it seems like hassle. So yeah, recommend it.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#750 Love this series and used to play each iteration for thousands of hours on PC. Console adaptation is great and was equally enjoyable, but it definitely works better with a mouse. Still ended up putting 101h into it for the plat (would probably be a lot quicker, if you sim every match, but it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the game). Enjoyment: 9 Difficulty: 3 (just because some things are down to RNG)
Popular Post Cal
Cyberpunk 2077 Platinum 81 I still remember the hype around this game, so many people were acting like it was the second coming of Jesus. Then the game came out and well basically didn't work and I stayed far away from this game, but a few years later I got the ultimate edition as a gift and finally played it and I am glad I waited cause well now the game is actually playable. I enjoyed my time with Cyberpunk is this game the greatest thing ever? In my opinion no but still a good game now with all the updates. Least favorite thing were all the NCPD Scanners you had to do they got old pretty quickly. So yeah enjoyed my time but CD Projekt really need to make sure their games are actually finished and ready next time.

Popular Post ZitMeatloaf
#182 - Knowledge Is Power: Decades "Avid Collector" Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 I bought this game a couple of years ago during a sale because I really enjoyed the first game. Good thing I bought it when I did, because it's since been delisted from the store. Support for the companion app on Android devices has also stopped, so I'm doubly fortunate to have already added the app to my libraries. Hooray, the future of all digital gaming! Isn't relying on huge profit-driven corporations to keep old games available and working properly just great? Anyway, this game plays just like the first one, with new Power Plays and game modes added to boot. Categories are divided up into sections from the 80's, 90's, 00's, and 10's. These are great party games, especially if you're hosting people who don't normally play video games. Anyone can play with their phone (assuming the app works... sigh), so those weird non-video game types in your life won't need to get used to the alien feel of a controller. I enjoyed this game so much, I even wrote a PSNP guide (my first one)! It's been submitted for review but isn't up quite yet... keep your eyes peeled. Considering the game has been delisted and new Android players won't be able to get the app, I'll be lucky if my guide helps a dozen people. At least I enjoyed writing it. Popular Post Kishnabe
Platinum #605: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (PS4) Did not spend a single dime. The base game was free for a limited time 3 years back+. Used the free 30 days and then every free login period since (2x a year, 3-14 days) I enjoyed playing it, just too much of a grind. Popular Post shadaik
Plat #158 - 100% 241 DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace Platinum Pup Earn every other trophy PS4 This one was a surprise. Mostly because I didn't put much research in it before I played. Children's game, rated 2/10 in difficulty, that was all I needed to know to expect a simple but potentially fun 3d platformer with some jank. Boy, was I wrong. Fun and jank are here, but it's not a 3d platformer at all. Instead, it's the step child of shoot'em'ups, the rail shooter. Why is it the step child? Well, DLoSP:TAoKaA provides the perfect example. Our character, either Superman's dog Krypto or Batman's occassionally existing partner of everchanging breed, Ace the Bat-Hound, flies on a mostly preprogrammed course around the city, fighting off Laxbots. You see, the most unconvincingly voiced Lex Luthor I've ever seen has hatched a nefarious plan, though it presumably only involves hatching in birds and reptiles: He is taking homeless animals off the streets and puts them in a zoo! The fiend! Next time, he'll probably get even more evil and open a cat café or something! Villainy has never been more vile! Because the idea of making this a game with a lot of character options was far too good, the game omits several very well-suited hero pets such as Flash's Streaky the Cat, three more characters become assist powers instead. Much like bombs in other shmups, I end up almost never using them because I can't be bothered to press any button but the pew-pew button. So, we essentially fly along an invisible tube, going a bit in any direction within said tube to dodge or attack. The aim cursor moves alongside the player character, which makes aiming a pain, especially when the right stick was right there, having no other use that'd block it. Other issue sinclude the fact the tube is invisible, so we never know where the flightpath is even going the first time around, causing unnecessary collissions. Also, there's a dogdamn mutt blocking half the screen! These are typical issues for rail shooters few games manage to avoid (only Suda 51's Killer 7 comes to my mind). This is almost the cover to Ludacris' classic rap single Move B*tch, though, which is also the perfect soundtrack to this game On the positive end, the game's pace is well done. It's rather easy for a shmup but not too easy to be fun. What this means is I can't be mad at it: It's supposed to be a children's game and that is exactly what it is. It's really good at being a child's first rail shooter. Colorful, just the right amount of ease/difficulty, fast-paced, and with a length typical of the genre. It's nothing ambitious at all, but that is exactly what it's supposed to be. Why am I more lenient this time around just after trashing Megamind last week? It mostly comes down to genre. Shmups as a genre are meant to be short, they are rather simple in terms of mechanics, and at least they are a genre rarely seen in kids license games. Or at all, really. The faster pace helps makign it not nearly as dull as Megamind. Still not a must-play, but it does kill the time it takes quite well. For some bonus points, it even has one trophy that poses a real challenge, if a bit of an unfair one: Lexbot Lover requires the player to finish a level without destroying a single enemy. In other words, a pacifist trophy. When almost all levels have either forced destructions screens, homing missile enemies, or both, options are down to two levels - the tutorial and a side-mission that can only be played once. Even then, finishing a level without destroying enemies is actually a task that requires pattern recognition and a bit of planning ahead. Played because it's leaving Plus Extra in a few weeks. For a really good rail shooter, I recommend Panzer Dragoon, instead. One of the few good ones not stuck on a Nintendo system. DLoSP:TAoKaA is, all things said, fine. Nothing more, nothing less. Probably the only time this is somewhat impressive. If you know, you know. Game: 6/10 List: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time: 4 hours

Popular Post Valzentia
#214 - Kung Fu Panda 2 Difficulty: 2/10 Fun: 6/10 This is your standard THQ movie tie-in fare. Nothing to write home about, but it's not the worst thing to ever happen to humanity. Basically this game serves as an epilogue to the second Kung Fu Panda movie, and the remnants of Shen's goons show up to make your life shit and help two Komodo mercenaries take over the city. Not really groundbreaking stuff, but it's serviceable if you want some trophies and have around 3-6 hours to kill. Also, this game got me over 70% completion...so that goal's been knocked out
Popular Post TidusSerger
#252 - Control Ultimate Edition I liked the game a lot 😄 the abilities and the destructable environment are just incredible. You rarely see such things in other games which is a shame. Remedy are just one of the best development studios out there in my opinion and I enjoy their games a lot. Popular Post Megahiro10
#137 and 138: Dragon Ball FighterZ Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 7/10 Time: 48 hours Dragon Ball is one of my favorite franchises EVER and I am happy that I finally got the FighterZ plat. It was quite a grind but worth it in the end. I actually autopopped the PS5 version. The first thing I did was the Zeni grind. There was an event going on with login bonuses and I thought that's the time to grind the zeni by using the glitch. Yes, the glitch still works on the PS5 with the PS4 version. I put youtube videos on the side and grinded 2 hours. It was quite easy. Then I went for the arcade and practice trophies to get them out of way. When you did the Zeni grind, you can easily breeze through the story mode by buying level skips. That way the fights were over in seconds. (Story was actually okay). Now the worst part: The online grind. Glad I found a boosting partner that grinded for me every Sunday for weeks. That took quite a while but eventually I got it. Last trophy? The stupid S rank on the arcade. I struggled a long time with that one. Thankfully you can cheese your way through it with Ginyu. The enemies have buffs, are way tankier etc but with the body swap ability you actually get the buffs too. x) I suck at fighting games but I just really wanted that plat. Ultra rare on PS4 hehe. RIP Akira Toriyama. 💜

Popular Post Thrillhelm
#3628 Dodgeball Academia (EU version) Difficulty 2/10 Time to plat: 7 hours Enjoyment: 7/10 A game I had on my PS5 for a while but was going to leave Plus, so I ran through it. Its an action RPG taking place on a school campus where everything is about playing dodgeball, a well-known school sport. You play as Otto who wants to become number one and builds a team of fellow students (not without trouble though) and fights rivals. Every score is settled with dodgeball, which much like the rest of the game has the anime approach of awesomeness. Despite the Dr.Slump/Gumball/Regular Show inspired graphics and characters the low data size of the game should give you a hint how deep the gameplay goes: you have seen everything the game has to offer within four hours, however the story mode ends just right before it overstays its welcome. No wonder this runs perfectly on the Switch. 25 Euros is a bit expensive (but aside of it being in PS Plus its often on sale) for a six to eight hour experience. Platinum is a breeze thanks to the difficulty adjustments. Just play the story, do all side missions, gather your team and collect every item, the rest will come naturally. Popular Post Trancexistence
#92 - Star Wars: Jedi Survivor 3,500th Trophy Milestone: The Jedi Survivor I'm not sure where to begin other than by saying I loved every second of this great game. Every part of it felt like a big upgrade on the first one, from the story to the actual gameplay, the planets it takes the player too and even the wider cast of characters. It's quite simply the most fun I've had playing a Star Wars game. I've always been a big fan of Clone War and Order 66 era Star Wars in general, so that kind of setting is right up my street for a game like this. I was almost sad when it was over to be honest, and I eagerly await the sequel. Total game time was 80 hours as I wanted to collect everything (even stuff not needed for the platinum) but the game can be platted in a lot less time than that. Spoiler One of my favourite parts of the game was playing as Cere during the Empire assault on the Jedi Archives at Jedha. What a badass. Cal was a more relatable character in this one. I thought he was alright in the first game, but I liked him a lot more this time. Hunting down all of the Haxion Brood bounty hunters was a lot of fun and the resulting battles were enjoyable. I wish there were a bit more of Coruscant to be explored as it's my favourite system. Peak prequel trilogy Star Wars. I'm curious to learn even more about Santari Khri. I'm hoping she turns up in further flashbacks in the next game. Enjoyment: 10/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Total Game Time: 80 hours Spoiler

Popular Post Mr_Wright95
Getting a bit slack at updating this consistently so 4 games ticked off since last update: Platinum 197 Twin Breaker: A Sacred Symbols Adventure Stumbled onto this game when looking for couch coop games for my Fiancé and I to play together. Had not played a brick breaker since the old Blackberry phone. Felt pretty good and a nice little game, but most of the trophies that provide some difficulty are mostly rng based as you need to get the right powerup to be able to A / S a level. The levels that saw my partner and I each controlling 2 bumpers proved difficult for her and soured the experience a bit, but we got through it. I would say this was probably the worst local co-op / least memorable game we have played together, but I always appreciate local coop games. With all that in mind I have placed this game in the "Not My Cup of Tea" Tier Platinum 198 Dredge I had heard so many good things about this game and had wanted to play it for such a long time, so when it came onto PS+ Extra I downloaded it right away. This game did not disappoint. I was hooked (pun intended) pretty much right away, loved the art style, loved the day / night cycle and even the grindy bits of the game felt rewarding. It has been so long since I played a fishing game and it was a game I didn't realise I missed. The trophy list for the game also adds to the experience making this a pleasure to work through. The top of my tier list is reserved for truly the pinnacle of my gaming experiences and whilst this doesn't quite reach those heights, it is firmly in the "Fantastic Games" tier and one I cant wait to tackle again on the PS4 stack one day. Platinum 199 Until Dawn Whilst my trophy gap for this game shows 4 days 20H, the reality is I played through nearly the whole game way back when this first came out, but as is the nature of Until Dawn, I pinged no trophies. Normally having to follow a guide the whole way through the game would sour my experience, however this actually served as a good tension release given this game can have a few big jump moments. The last chapter of the game felt like a massive tone shift and really ramped up the feeling and stress to new heights. I really do enjoy what this game is going for, how your actions shape the story, so going back and doing an all death run after an all live run, doesnt feel as much of a burden as second (albeit partial) playthroughs often do. I will also say that the slight changes in dialogue and backstory given due to collecting collectibles makes getting them seem worth it compared to a lot of games. Because of all this I have this game also in my "Fantastic Games" tier and I am so pleasantly surprised as I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did, especially nearly 10 years later. Platinum 200 Dead Island 2 Despite the trophy image looking like an homage to Eminems first rap group, this game went through as much development hell as I think any game could possibly go through, so before I start my review I want to just say that I am so glad this game released. Dead Island 1 has a special place in my heart and I hold such nostalgia for this franchise. The first game is one of the few games I have played through 4-5 times and that is largely due to not having a ton of money or games as a kid when it came out. With that being said, Dead Island 2, amazingly, really feels like Dead Island 1, even down to the bugs. The setting not actually being an Island I found humorous and the return of Sam B was a nice surprise, but overall the game picks up more or less after Dead Island 1 / Riptide. The game plays well, and I really really enjoyed it. I got a few chuckles out of the side quests and the Hollywood / influencer themes and the story ended in a much more positive way than that of the previous games. Going into this game all I really wanted was for it to feel like I was playing Dead Island 1 and this game delivered that with polish. This game is ranked toward the bottom tier of the "Fantastic Games" tier, as it is definitely better than Riptide which tops the tier below. I think this game would struggle to rank any higher on my tier list though as the weight of expectation and hope was so high and whilst I felt it met those expectations, it certainly did not exceed them. A fitting 200th Milestone. Link to trophy checklist thread Spoiler Edited June 3 by Mr_Wright95
Popular Post CracK061196
Fallout 4 PS5 Platinum #10 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Hours Played: 60 Hours "Platinum Trophy" This was my first time playing Fallout game and wow I was really enjoying it. When I started it I didn't know what I was getting into and as many games on start, it was a bit slow for me, but then I understood the concept and the rest was great. Platinum is not so hard, but I needed like 60 Hours for it and trophy "Benevolent Leader" was giving me trouble but in the end I managed and did it somehow with trophy guide. Great game, so much to do and now after platinum I make a pause, and then I will try to make all DLCs as well.
