Well after a night of Internet disconnections I was finally able to synch these 2. Lets Start with the best one.
Bastion, what a game. I had such high expectations after playing my GOTY 2014 Transistor, and figured there was no way they'd be met. Well they were. Bastion was an amazing journey from beginning to end with superb level design and an absolutely stunning soundtrack. I was enamored through both of my playthroughs and the game provides an excellent challenge in the form of its dream sequences. There are 4 of these and completing them all with all 10 Idols equipped (limiters for you Transistor folk) was quite a challenge. I rate this as highly as Transistor and if you're a fan you'd do yourself a service by playing this game.

And now onto LA Cops. What a god awful game. Just terrible. Woeful AI (both friendly and enemy) and shit level design, a repetitive soundtrack and a clear attempted cash in on hotline miami's success. This game was frustrating, but do-able. I had a lot of trouble adjusting to the fact that I cant play this like Hotline, you need to bait the AI more and be much more precise. The trophies are a gold mine, literally. And that really the only reason to even play the game. Regardless, whats done is done and Im that much closer to starting #200

Man this game was crazy. It was the first time I played a game that felt like a game in a long while. The story was funny as shit, and so were a lot of the characters and the gameplay was awesome. I hope Konami hurries up and releases the sequel. As a result of the fun I had I will be checking out more Suda51 games.

Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. It's a good game, i really hope a new one is announced soon, really like the gameplay and the characters. And yeah i ended up jumping from one version to the other so i got both. Still got too much backlog to work on. Anyway gotta keep moving!

Alien: Isolation

 

 

I'd like to now say Alien: Isolation is my favourite game on the PS4. I pretty much love everything about this game, but what obviously makes it stick out is its horror factor. I don't care if someone else didn't find this scary - I personally found it horrifying - and let me just say now, that the Xenomorph is just such a bitch on hard difficulty...

 

Creative Assembly did an absolutely amazing job on the Xenomorph's logic, and the fact that it's it's totally unscripted means that you're going to have to be real careful whilst playing through this, especially on the harder difficulties, respectively 

 

I completed this game on hard several months ago, so fortunately I just played on novice difficulty whilst sweeping up other trophies and going for my One Shot trophy. Playing through this game on novice is obviously going to contrast a lot to hard or nightmare; you don't even need to crouch, you can just walk everywhere without attracting the Xenomorph - so it's a total breeze

 

My school friend kept asking if I got the platinum for this months ago, and we both agreed that Alien: Isolation is certainly a game you need to be in the mood to play and fully indulge yourself in, otherwise it's just no fun and you're most likely going to fail at it

 

Towards completing the game a 2nd time, I remembered I had died and voided my One Shot trophy (completing the game without dying). I gave myself the benefit of the doubt by completing it anyway, but to my disappointment the trophy failed to pop nonetheless - but luckily I remembered what mission I had actually died on (14), so I just sped-ran from the start of that that mission prior to my death (using mission select) to the end of the game within about 2.5 hours, whilst listening to music (not recommended, sound is key to survival in this game  )

 

TIP: If you a hear a screech and then heavy, fast claws running towards your direction, just pause and load your current save, because you're already dead

I purchased and platted this game with the full intention of getting ultra rare trophies, that's the only reason, and heck - this game boasts 40 of them - Subjectively, the only real hard trophy for this game is You Want Me To WHAT? which is now my hardest attained gold trophy. I was so excited when I got it that my nails accidentally pierced my skin as I clenched my hands out of excitement... oops. My friend watched me try this trophy prior and they were just like "wut..."

 

Seriously though, anyone could easily get at least 15+ ultra rare trophies from this game, it's highly recommended to people who go after ultra rares. My friend originally advised that I get this game, and thankfully the sweetheart promised and helped me boost its online trophies (servers are completely dead, and we disconnected over 25 times nonetheless), so props to him otherwise I wouldn't even have this game synced to my profile

 

Getting 100% gallery was such a pain. Out of all 12 characters, I only had 4 left at one point (getting 100% on just one character takes around 25-30 minutes), and upon re-entering the game the next again morning, I was perplexed to see that I was now left with all characters at 0%... Yeah, it turned out that I had never saved the game, at all, whenever I had played it. I had to go through ALL 8 characters again, and then finish off the 4 I had left prior...

 

If you're playing this game, make sure auto-save is enabled in options. I also had to do some other trophy requirements again because they also counted towards the gallery percentage. I just laughed the whole ordeal off - silly me. I also held off this platinum for a month to make it my 20th

I highly enjoyed this game, even as repetive as this game gets once you go after each ending route and when getting the misc. trophies you should be missing. This game ain't original nor unique at all, (aside the fact that clothes are your enemies in this game ) and as I said, it gets quite repetitive. Should get pretty repetitive by the time you play through your 2nd or 3rd playthrough. But surprisingly, I was having fun most of the time when playing through the whole game over and over again, and I finished this game up to 8 times (just for funsies.) I would love to see a sequel to this, or just any other game similar to this, only I'm hoping it's a bit more original next time 'round. If not, well, as I said, I still had tons of fun playing through this game. Game was very easy to plat, although it took awhile for me to get through, seeing as how there's 5 endings (but you can get the Little Sister ending along any other character route you choose, since the Little Sister ending is just an extra ending that you should get after the credits.) And the game is also pretty short if rushing through the main story, but that's no surprise, seeing as how small the World Map in this game is. If rushing through the game and are only focusing on the main story, the game should take 'round 2 hours to finish off. Maybe 1 hour if rushing through the game really fast. I think there's one ending that actually makes the game a bit tad longer, seeing as how the ending route itself changes the outcome and pace of the ending. I'd probably plat this game again, seeing as how there's a PS3 and Vita version, and the trophy lists don't share the same lists. Only next time I'd probably change the language selection to English, as I did play through the whole game with Japanese being set as my language preference.

oh boy. this game.

this game could be so much more.

it has lovely graphic with a sweet main char and funny abilities and a good story and lenght.

but:

first of all the game suffers from a poor "combat" system.

there isn't really a combat just you trying to hit weak points on an unbelievable ugly enemy tryin' not to loose your mind because you flipped little Kat a billion times trying to gravity-kick an enemy..

 

i kind of lost interest in it (i just don't know why) in the middle of the story.

i finished the story but was kind of bored most of the time.

after finishing the story it came to the challenges.

they are what they are called: challenging.

if you turn the sensibility up, even the gravity slide mission (which are most hated by almost everybody) are not that hard with a fully upgraded Kat.

 

i guess i will get the DLCs though...

 

all in all it's not a bad game but it could have been more

I remember trying the demo of this back on the 360 before it released back in 2009, Rocksteady had introduced the world's first greatest MODERN Superhero video game, compared to the likes of Iron Man or Superman, this title was like the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ (PLEASE, this is the only mention of religion from me on here). The cast delivers superb acting, from the likes of Kevin Conroy (Batman) and the legendary, Mark Hamill (Joker); you'll be begging for more story action, which is why I'd direct you to play Arkham City (Skip Origins, different dev, also sucks in comparison).

 

Roll on June 23rd, Arkham Knight; we're coming for you.
