Popular Post ExHaseo
#62 - Strider (PS3) I want to start by saying that this game was worth the price I paid for it ($6). There are quite a few issues with the game though, and they're primarily easily fixable, and things that should be fairly basic for this kind of game. For example, the map is horrible. The biggest issue is that it doesn't tell you where each door leads, even if you've been there before. Which makes it impossible to navigate to previous areas while looking for the collectibles. You basically just have to know where you're going, or just guess and hope you don't run around in circles for too long. For this kind of game, that's a pretty big deal. What's even worse, is that even when you approach doors, or the hawks/panthers, it doesn't tell you where it's going. Once again, you just have to know where you're going, and hope you don't run around in circles. This issue made hunting the last few collectibles incredibly tedious and annoying (as I wasn't using a guide). Another major issue I had with the game, is that inability to use the D-Pad for movement. The stick worked fine, but it's just not precise enough for a sidescrolling game. They really should've put in the option to switch the D-Pad and L Stick functions. Anyway, it was overall an exceedingly mediocre experience, which could have been better had the developers put in more basic functions. I'm chalking these oversights to the fact that Double Helix is still a relatively new developer, who've primarily worked on tie-in games. They did nail one thing though, and that's Strider himself. The way he moves and attacks feels very faithful to the older games. Edited May 10, 2015 by ExHaseo

Popular Post UK-Danny-93
#29 God of War Trophy of Zeus Unlock all God of War® Trophies 23.47 Uncommon My first foray into the God of War franchise and I ended up really enjoying it. It took a couple hours for me to get into, I haven't played many character action games like this one before. The combat was simple and fluid but at the same time challenging. The story was compelling and the cinematics very well done. The cut scenes in particular were well stylized yet still they had a real visceral feeling to them. Considering the age of GoW 1, I'm really looking forward to seeing the sequels. I thought the world they created from Greek Mythology was brilliant. From the enemy designs to the characters of the gods and the help they give you along the way. I'm not usually a fan of puzzle games but some of the puzzles/platforming, such as the Rings of Pandora, were very well crafted. Even if I died from falling more than the enemies. Kratos is an interesting character. Losing his family to Ares betrayal makes his quest for vengeance understandable. But he's not exactly a sympathetic character. A power mad warlord set on a path for vengeance; Kratos is ruthless and even cruel not just to those who stand in his way but also to those that inadvertently find themselves in his way. There's no doubt however that Kratos is cool, I mean only a badass could hope to unseat the God of War. It's easy to see why he has become an iconic character. I also liked the games additional content. My first playthrough took about 9 hours (not including cut scenes, checkpoint resets). Once you beat the game you unlock some dev diaries, costumes and a set of challenges. The tenth of which is by far the most challenging part of the game. I must have tried it 30 times before I pulled it off but up until that point the challenges were a fun change of pace. The last trophy on the way to the Platinum was for beating the game in under 5 hours. The dairy bastard costume (unlimited magic) makes this much easier than expected. My time came in at 3:31:03. it was a lot of fun just to blow through the game without worrying about chests and decimating all the enemies that I'd struggled with previously. Overall I'd give it an 8/10 for enjoyment, a 5/10 for difficulty and a 5/10 for time commitment. Edited May 10, 2015 by UK-Danny-93
Popular Post Revvie
#60 Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F(PS3) Trophy MasterAll trophies unlocked! I find myself getting the notes easily using the PS3 controller instead of the Vita. It's maybe because the Vita buttons were smaller and I'm having a hard time hitting those star notes using the touchscreen unlike the PS3's analog stick. Also the got a "great" grade on NegaPosi* Continue and Sadistic∞Music Factory on my first try unlike my playthrough on the Vita.(It took me about 10 tries on NegaPosi* Continue and 6 tries on Sadistic∞Music Factory to atleast get a "standard" grade )After 30 mins. of getting all the artwork for the trophy "Art Collection". I finally got the platinum... again.

Popular Post Mcbeanstr
#61 Apotheon More Greek mythology goodness! This was a fairly decent game with a simple enough combat system and gameplay. The best part about this game is the way the enemy AI reacts to your tactics, if you go in swinging with your sword/axe/club etc they react by blocking or counter attacking in a similar manner. If you try to attack with your bow/darts/javelins etc from a distance they dodge. It might seem like basic logic but with some games these days it feels as if you are OP from the start so it was nice to see this subtle change imo. I liked that they included all of the Greek Gods in the game with their powers coming to the fore. The game is about 6-8 hrs long which is great the story felt quite fresh throughout and I hardly felt like putting it down. Now lets get to the issues with this game... It crashes way too often for my liking. I think I suffered from a dozen crashes during my playthrough which kinda dented the overall enjoyment factor. Another problem that cost me a lot of time is the backtracking in the end to find all lock boxes. I was disappointed by the lack of a detailed layout in the map for lock boxes you missed I thought they could've used a map collectible system similar to Guacamelee. If you haven't played this game yet it's worth the loot if you see it on sale. Fairly easy to plat and the Olympian glitch saves a ton of time in getting the 100%. Thank you StrickenBiged for the awesome detailed guide Overall rating 7/10 Plat difficulty 2/10

Popular Post DJROE95
#39 - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - PS4 Game Rating: 6/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyed this game a lot more than the first, the web swinging mechanics are just next level, I liked how they chucked a load of villains into the game and left the ending open for future games. If you want sparkly 'next-gen' graphics and a deep and meaningful story, I'd look elsewhere. However if you are a fan of Spider-Man then I would recommend picking this up (for a discounted price). The story took about 6 hours on hard difficulty but then the grind to maxing out all of the suits can take practically the same amount of time, but hey, I got to listen to some awesome albums whilst I was replaying the last level to farm XP. The collectables are super easy to find, especially compared to the first game. Go and grab this game fellow true believers!!! #40 - LEGO Ninjago Shadow of Ronin - PS Vita Game Rating: 9.5/10 Difficulty: 1/10 Wow, I have got all 10 LEGO Vita game platinums that are available and this is by far my favourite out of the bunch, this game is just so fun to play. The humour is spot on and Jay had me cracking up throughout. This is so much better than the first game, the levels are open and well designed like older LEGO games but the 5 gold brick challenges remain. Im so pleased this was my 40th platinum, if you are even remotely interested in the LEGO games then you must pick this one up. I can't wait for LEGO Jurassic World now! The LEGO Vita games are taking over the PS4 ones in terms of enjoyment for me personally. Edited May 10, 2015 by DJROE95
Popular Post yellowwindow7
Platinum Splattin' 'Em! / Resident Evil (PS3) i believe people who's saying that this Remake or remaster is harder than the ps1 original were people who started the very first game in the RE series from this remake, whether on modern platforms like ps3,ps4,360,XBONE,PC or mostly on Wii and especially the Gamecube, because boy! i bet you never tried it on the ps1 before, this remaster is very VERY merciful. the room where you found the shotgun hanging on the wall is empty on Remake/HD Remaster, on the ps1 you found three zombies in that same room, beating the giant snake Yarn using only the knife in the remaster?? yeah! good luck doing that in the ps1 original, i remember in his first encounter whether it's you or him to came out alive, even escaping that fight is kinda risky, in the ps1 90% you might escaped him POISONED! Chris or Jill, there's no very easy and easy difficulty in the ps1's as far as i remember, Chris will make the game sound like hard mode as Jill will make it Normal mode. speaking of knifing... way back i bought a huge guide book containing walkthroughs for four different games one of the games was resident evil for the ps1, funny how i bought that book just for RE1 and i haven't even got a ps1 yet at that time. in the RE section there was a description for each enemy and boss and how much they took from each weapon before dying, some of the text was so funny to read, bee's / regular snakes / baby spiders, took one hit from anything you have, but don't waste your big guns ammo on those, aim for the big boys. the most interested read was on the Hunters and the Tyrant as it said " Knife on Hunters.. don't try! they'll send your head flying off before you scratch them with your kitchen knife " " Knife on Tyrant.. you're Joking? " the most challenging trophy i encounter was the three hours speed run "Don't Stop Running" i watched some speed runs and found out that i was doing it all wrong, and it's kinda misleading.. it say finish the game in three hours, not really, you need to beat the game in 2 hours or one if you're really good, my brother beat the game on Normal (Jill) in his account in 3:40:12 and this trophy didn't even popped for him, i did it on Normal (Chris) in 2:38:22 and i got the trophy, unless i didn't understand something. Popular Post Edunstar84
10 Tales of Hearts R Yay, my 10th platinum! This was a very enjoyable game. Yes, clichéd, but you know, it is a Tales of game. I loved the battle system, especially the Guard Counter and the Chase system. It made the gameplay more exciting. I also loved the skill tree (err heart?), it was really satisfying completing a level. I would like to mention that i loved setting conditionals for the other members. Very simple, and they did what you set for them. However, I still find Tales of Graces f, just that much better. ToGf's battle system just seemed more fluid. I also thought that ToHR was more challenging, and I wouldn't advise someone who isn't familiar with the battle system to start with this Tales, but what do I know this is only my second.
Popular Post UK-Danny-93
The Ultimate Reward Completed all Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies Dragon Age: Origins 7.82% Very Rare I put 70 hours into my main play-through awhile ago and only recently got around to cleaning up the rest of the trophies for the Platinum. A few well placed saves made it not nearly as painful as I was expecting to pick up the trophies for the various endings, romances and darkspawn kills. I'm a big Bioware fan and this was one of the first rpg's that really got me into the genre. The story is a fairly standard fantasy affair; mages, rougues, warriors, werewolves, undead, maleifcar, dragons, power struggles and the darkspawn invasion. The game is full of great characters from you're party members to the outside cast. Everyone has their distinct ideals that may or not line up with your own, which will affect what aid they may or not render you in your war with the darkspawn. Including you're party members who might leave or even attack you depending on your choices and your ability to persuade. For your party mambers in particular there are lots of conversations to have with them and banter between them to help bring them to life. It's particularly interesting to listen to ideologically opposed characters like Alistair and Morrigan argue. This is also were the game manages to infuse a little humour to an otherwise serious plot. The combat is really interesting. I played a mage, which I'd absolutely recommend. It's the class with the most versatility as well as the most powerful and fun to play with. The combat on the higher difficulties is very strategic. You set up tactics for each of you're party members instructing them to use their abilities in certain situations. It can get very challenging on the hardest difficulties which makes it very satisfying when you're able to put a plan into action to take down a difficult enemy. Another key aspect of the game is it's replayability. There are several different origin stories related to the different classes and races to play through that will affect how characters throughout the game will react to you. The different classes all have multiple specializations (some of which can change your style drastically) as well as multiple differing ability trees. The main quests too have binary choices to make leading to very different outcomes that will have an effect on your final confrontation with the Archdemon. The game also has several dlcs. I played 'The Stone Prisoner' and 'Witch Hunt' on my main playthrough and they were pretty good, short story add-ons. Shale, a new party member from TSP is very strong and also a fun companion to add to your party. Witch Hunt felt a little unnecessary as it didn't really add much to the main story as I was expecting it to. 'Awakening' I played for the first time recently is the most extensive piece of dlc content on offer. With all new areas, party members and adversaries. This more than the others is easier to justify the asking price for. It's a compelling side story. The new party members are well done including two who will be integral to the story of Dragon Age II. I also appreciated the unexpected effort to add a new dimension to the previously, corruption incarnate, one dimensional darkspawn. I'm in no rush to pick up the other dlcs that I haven't played, do you think they're worth it? Overall I really enjoyed the more than 100 hours I spent with this game. It's a worthy 30th Platinum for a game that helped spark my love for rpgs. One of the first games I played with characters I really cared about and for, a Bioware specialty. I don't plan to Plat DAII, I did enjoy it but it's a poor imitation of Origins in my opinion despite that. I am however excited to get my hands on Inquisition when I get myself a PS4 at some point. Overall I'd give it a 9/10 for enjoyment, an 8/10 for difficulty (trophies not tied to higher dificulties) and a 7/10 for time commitment needed.
