Yes I do. I can actually see them for a few seconds before they disappear. Now you maybe saying: "That's impossible". Well, it's not. Some people have the power to either hear or see the spirits. And we live with them all the time, and they could do us harm, but they don't. Even the psychopaths that died changed they're mind to not harm us.

Are you a medium?

I do believe in them, even though ive never seen one

Fuck no. People that saw ghost are

1. Just plain crazy or have some sort of disease that make them see thing's aren't there. I wouldn't label everyone who sees things

crazy because you can otherwise still be a stable person.

2. Experiences things like sleep paralysis or something like that. Having hallucination isn't a rare thing.

3. Are fucking lying.

I have seen brief hallucination myself but that's no proof of super natural.

I'm surprised at the number of 'Yes' votes... though I probably shouldn't be.  If you believe in an afterlife, it's probably not so farfetched.

That being said, since I don't believe in an afterlife (as much fun as it would be to believe in)... I really see no reason to believe in ghosts.  The mind is so incredibly complex.  As real as the things you claim to see or hear seem, I have no doubt that it's either in your head, or there's a scientific explanation for it.

I'm undecided, i did have one experience when i was younger when i stayed at my grandparents old victorian style house. I got up in the night for some reason and i just remember standing at the top of the stairs and at the bottom they had this big pendulum clock which i hated and next to it on the corner of the hallway i saw a faded white silhouette of a person, after that i went straight to my room.

Not much to go on i know thats why i'm undecided until i see some hard proof.

Well, can someone define to me what a true "ghost" is? Is it a conscious, sentient being or something like a molecule? I'm not religious in the slightest, nor am I particularly spiritual, but technically there are the remnants of every living person flowing through me as I type this, and through you as you read this. Let me quote you guys one of my absolute favourite speeches:

You want a physicist to speak at your funeral. You want the physicist to talk to your grieving family about the conservation of energy, so they will understand that your energy has not died. You want the physicist to remind your sobbing mother about the first law of thermodynamics; that no energy gets created in the universe, and none is destroyed. You want your mother to know that all your energy, every vibration, every Btu of heat, every wave of every particle that was her beloved child remains with her in this world. You want the physicist to tell your weeping father that amid energies of the cosmos, you gave as good as you got.

And at one point you'd hope that the physicist would step down from the pulpit and walk to your brokenhearted spouse there in the pew and tell him that all the photons that ever bounced off your face, all the particles whose paths were interrupted by your smile, by the touch of your hair, hundreds of trillions of particles, have raced off like children, their ways forever changed by you. And as your widow rocks in the arms of a loving family, may the physicist let her know that all the photons that bounced from you were gathered in the particle detectors that are her eyes, that those photons created within her constellations of electromagnetically charged neurons whose energy will go on forever.

And the physicist will remind the congregation of how much of all our energy is given off as heat. There may be a few fanning themselves with their programs as he says it. And he will tell them that the warmth that flowed through you in life is still here, still part of all that we are, even as we who mourn continue the heat of our own lives.

And you'll want the physicist to explain to those who loved you that they need not have faith; indeed, they should not have faith.

Let them know that they can measure, that scientists have measured precisely the conservation of energy and found it accurate, verifiable and consistent across space and time. You can hope your family will examine the evidence and satisfy themselves that the science is sound and that they'll be comforted to know your energy's still around. According to the law of the conservation of energy, not a bit of you is gone; you're just less orderly. Amen.

-Aaron Freeman.

So, the atoms that have made up people who died centuries ago are inside you, they're an intrinsic part of you. In that sense, no one truly dies on an atomic level. Now whether or not you believe that those atoms retain memories, voice patterns or whatever from the people they once helped form, that's a whole other thing. I'm not a believer, but I know for a fact there are too many things I will never understand and I will always leave my mind open to being proven wrong.

However, I doubt it'll happen anytime soon.

I feel that the people I work with who do believe in ghosts etc etc just don't have an explanation for some life experience. Yeah I hear voices all the time, but I'm missing half of my brain so why not. I see things that don't exist as well but my eyes are shit, prior to brain damage the only time I saw anything unreal was an image of a friends face on other peoples bodies, he had suddenly died and it was part of the grieving process. I stay back late at work often due to others beliefs and frankly it's a bit frustrating, do I have to explain what that noise was? It's a possum ffs, not a ghost. I don't want to sound like an ass but being on life support changes your opinions on many things, also the big reality check doesn't help. If you think you see and hear ghosts then sure, I'm not going to disbelieve you.

Edit: Oh yeah, For some reason I feel this topic is a good time to bring up the studying of Dark Matter, here is a standard blurb on the topic

Yes, I do believe in ghosts. The house that I live is around 150 years old with countless deaths though of the years. Here is some of the weird stuff that in my house.

Okay, 25 years my dad rebuilding the top floor of the house, and at night time my mom and my dad would hear boards moving and there was no way to get because the stairs were removed and all of ladders taken down for the night and at the same my dad was have dreams that my great great grandmother and great great grandaunt was throwing him though walls and my mom said that my dad so scared that he stopped sleep at night. A  my mom and dad was outside and my dad looked up saw the window opening and closing, my mom and dad watch it for a few minutes, then stop and my dad when decide to go to see what it was, and when he got up the window, it started doing and he ran down the stairs as fast as can.

I have so many more if anyone care to hear them.

Oh, so much for poltergeists then

You claim to be a "medium" lmao, surely you know of poltergeists

Yes I know them, and it actually happened today at night in my home. Scared the shit out of me, but I didn't bother to check my house because I was way to sleepy to care.
