England being a joke again, table updated for the first matches.

I think that's a tad harsh. No doubt it's a disappointing result but compared to how we've performed at the last 2 or 3 tournaments I'm pretty encouraged. Still don't think we'll get anywhere near winning it, but we won't go home with our tail between our legs like we did in Brazil or South Africa.

The main problems was Hodgson's substitutions. Sterling should have been hooked at half-time, he was having an absolute shocker. Rooney should have stayed on to provide a bit of nous in midfield - Wilshere is far too gung-ho to be coming on when he did - and Vardy should have definitely been given a run out at some point to test an ageing and tiring Russian defence, and give an outlet that Kane just wasn't providing on his own.

Anyway, I know I'm a bit late to the game but here's my predictions for tomorrow's games:

Sunday, June 12: Group D, 2pm

 1 Turkey v Croatia 2

Sunday, June 12: Group C, 5pm

3 Poland v Northern Ireland 0

Sunday, June 12: Group C, 8pm

2 Germany v Ukraine 0

Overall winner: Germany

Top Scorer: Thomas Muller

I honestly don't think it was harsh, Russia were so bad. We only looked amazing because they were so goddamn awful. Can see Wales giving us a good kicking to be honest. They looked great, and I can't see our crappy defence defending nearly as well as Slovakia did.

We played well and thats why we should have scored more than 1 goal and secured the 3 points instead of throwing them away to an awful team who only had the one chance on goal all game.
