Finished Crash 4 for my UR C game! The game itself is great, but it's an absolute slog to get 106%. You have to play each level a minimum of 3 times but it's definitely going to take you more replays than that to perfect every level and beat the platinum time trial. The inverted mode is also pretty pointless since it's just a flipped version of the original level with a filter and a new hidden gem location. I think if they removed the perfect relics and the inverted mode, the game would be a lot tighter and it wouldn't feel as grueling to complete the game. But in terms of the moment-to-moment gameplay, the game feels fantastic to play. The controls feel tight and the addition of the yellow circle below Crash/Coco is a huge help since depth perception in this series can be tough.

 

With that only 1 UR letter remains: I. My plan is to complete Insurgency: Sandstorm which honestly looks like the easiest UR I game, especially since only the platinum itself is UR. Gonna be doing it with a friend though so it may be a little while until we actually finish it.

I finished Insurgency: Sandstorm and with that the UR version of the challenge is complete! It definitely was a challenge of ups and downs as I went for the missing letters. Games ranged from great (Crash 4, XCOM 2) to solid (Quake, 3D Dot Game Heroes) to not great (Exist Archive, Jotun). But hey, that's about what I expected when I started actively working on the obscure letters.
