Tired of team competitions where whoever spams the most easy trash wins? Look no further! This league will have its own leaderboard, and if successful will alternate with THTL proper moving forward. The league will feature rarity multipliers from RTHL, with team concepts and schedules borrowed from the THTL. It also features a new finals format, slight revisions to challenges, and the introduction of substitutes. Thanks to @jem for his blessing in making this event and helping hone some of the rules! Teams: Bench Spoiler Enma8910 Psy-Tychist Wdog-999 Wdjat Prinny Doods ShogunCroCop Bombstriker Statistics Career Statistics Season One General Information Spoiler Teams must consist of four players, no more, no less. All trophies are allowed (as long as they're not autopopped). Platinum trophies are worth 10 points. Any other trophy is worth 1 point. The Main Season will be 20 days, broken up into 4 periods of 5 days each. At the end of each period, players will have 4 hours to sync their trophies before benchmark scores are posted. After benchmark scores are posted, trophies yet to be synced from the previous period will no longer count. The timezone for this league is London GMT. If a player scores less than 20 points in a season, he/she will be private messaged. If the player is unable to respond within 48 hours, he/she will be unable to compete in the following season. Points Spoiler Point multipliers will go into effect based on rarity. Common are x0, uncommon are x1, rare are x5, very rare are x10, and ultra rare are x20. Any game with a 50th completion time of under 4 hours will not count (if a game has less than 50 achievers, it counts). Rarity will be judged at the time of each five-day period, not when the trophy is earned. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by the number of platinums, followed by number of ultra rare, then very rare, then uncommon, then common. HTCs and Synergy Spoiler 1. Each period, one member of each team will be appointed Honorary Team Captain (HTC), who will receive double points for that period. 2. Any one team member can only be HTC once per season. 3. HTCs must be chosen 24 hours before the start of the period. Otherwise, they will be chosen randomly. 4. If multiple team members earn the same platinum in the same game (can be different region or system), both members will receive a synergy bonus (x2, x3, and x4 for two, three, and four players respectively). 5. If a player gets multiple of the same platinum with synergy bonus, all of the platinums earned will receive the same synergy bonus. Challenges Spoiler At any point during the season, a team can challenge any team they want for the remainder of the current period. The challenge can start and end at any point as long as it's within one period. Challenges must be approved by the current owner of the league and must include both HTCs. Teams can issue as many challenges as they want, but once one is accepted, they can only participate in that one challenge. Once challenged, the opposing HTC will be pm'd. If he/she doesn't respond within 12 hours, the challenge will be considered denied. If a team denies a challenge, they will not be able to issue one for the remainder of the period. Teams can deny the first challenge brought against them without any potential penalty. For the second declined challenge, there is a 10% chance they will be forced to accept it anyways, and for each successive challenge after that the percent change of an automatic acceptance will increase by 10%. The winner of a challenge can either take 100 points from the opposing team or make it so the losing team will not have an HTC the following period (conditions must be decided on before the challenge starts). If it is the final period, the prize for a challenge must be 100 points from the losing team. If the losing team has less than 100 points at the end of the challenge, they will give all of their points. Substitutions Spoiler 1. Substitutions can be chosen at any point in the season. 2. They must be revealed before the period starts when they will begin earning points for the team, as well as announcing who will swap out for them. 3. Subs can only be used once in a season. 4. Subs can only be brought in to replace the active HTC, but after replacing the HTC they can stay active for as long as the team agrees to it. 5. Subs do not get double points during regular season HTC, but they do get synergy bonuses and challenge rights. If selected as the faceoff HTC, they will receive an X2 multiplier for that round. 6. If a sub is still active after the fourth week, they have the option to be kept for the finals in place of the original fourth player. This decision cannot be changed in between faceoff and final rounds, the sub is in for the entirety of the playoffs if selected. 7. The sub cannot be brought on specifically for the playoffs, they must have played at least one period prior to then. Faceoff Spoiler At the end of each season, there will be a two-day rest period, followed by a Faceoff between the top four teams of the main season. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided by platinum count, followed by best period score. If there are ten or more teams competing, a fifth team may enter the Faceoff as a Wildcard. In order for a Wildcard to compete, the team must have the highest period score in any one period. If the highest period score for all four periods is held by the top four teams, there will be no Wildcard. During the first day of the rest period, second place must nominate two potential HTC candidates for the Faceoff, and third must nominate three. Other teams must nominate their entire team. Once HTC candidates have been nominated, the top team will have until 4 hours before the start of the Faceoff to nominate the HTC for each of the competing teams. Any missed deadlines will result in HTC candidates and HTCs being chosen at random. The Faceoff will be 24 hours long, and the top two teams will advance to the finals. All previous point multipliers apply. Finals Spoiler After the Faceoff, there will be a one-day rest period, followed by the Finals. The winners of the Faceoff will have until 4 hours before the start of the Finals to choose one of the following themes: BATTLE ROYALE Both teams will compete just like they were in a Faceoff, except this time, there will be no HTC. At the end of each day, the bottom two scores will be eliminated. This could be one member from each team or two members from a single team. This will go on until only one team is left standing. Also, if a player scores zero points in a day, he/she will automatically be eliminated in addition to the two people being eliminated that day. 1v1^4 Each day, a chosen member from each team will face off in a 1v1. No player can be chosen twice. Players can either be announced on the thread or messaged to the current owner of the league. Players don't need to be confirmed until the end of each day, but if a team fails to confirm a player, the player with the lowest score that day will automatically be chosen. For every day won, the winning team earns a point. The first team to three points wins! In the event of a tie, there will be a fifth day tiebreaker. If there is still a tie, main season tie breaking rules apply. Rare Winners At the end of each day during the finals, the rarest trophy from each of the four players on both teams is added up. The team with the lowest cumulative score (best combined rarity) wins the day! If a player does not earn a trophy within the 24 hour period, they will be credited with earning a trophy at 100% achieved. We're now sitting at 3.75 teams factoring in the bench, and we have a little under 4 days til signups close. With that in mind here is how the season will change depending on how many teams we get. 4 teams: No faceoff or finals, the team with the best score at the end of the 4 week season wins. 5 teams: 3 team faceoff, all else is normal. 6+ teams: no changes to the format. Since this is the first period, HTCs can be chosen up until the start of the competition, at which time they will be drawn randomly. We do have enough backup players to form a 5th team now (and thus faceoff and finals are in play,) but it will be much better if two more active players join to take their place, so if you are on the fence please join!
