Popular Post jasondm300
The end of another KYC. I had a good time reading all the summaries and going through (most of) the games I chose for myself. One final review Risen 3 - Titan Lords Enhanced Edition 7/53 Trophies D Rating 3 hours "Enhanced" my ass. As I said earlier, this game is a gigantic dog turd. You play as a pirate, who has no name, but I called him Captain Poobeard, who was killed and had is soul taken away from the Shadow Lord and was killed. After being resurrected by a witch doctor, who try to get a ship and crew together to reclaim your soul. I made it to one island, which I guess was not the first one to go to. I did some quests which involved tricking a guy by giving him lizard eggs instead of poisonous eggs to make rum, which is already weird, and then he got pissed when everyone was still living. I have a feeling that these are the type of side quests that they are going to have, then no thanks. I more than likely won't touch this game again unless i'm feeling masochistic in the future Final ranking of games 1. Root Letter 2. Ratchet and Clank 3. Wild Arms 3 4. Rime 5. Deadlight 6. Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 7. Infamous: Second Son 8. Berserk and the Band of the Hawk 9. Mark McMorris Infinite air 10. DamagingRob
The trophy cleanup has begun. Boosted Guilty Gear's multiplayer, but may still need to boost some medals. Wondering if I can even finish 70 missions, though.. Probably worry about medals when it's my last trophy (if that situation ever occurs). Then did Battlefield Hardline. Also completed the game on Hardline difficulty. Had the LMG unlocked, and that thing is a beast. Ran right through that difficulty, and didn't struggle a bit. Died here and there, but there were no real tricky areas. Got the Plat for it, too. \o/ First in almost a month. Still hurting my completion, though, thanks to all of that wonderful DLC.. I don't think I could take the 40k kills boosting, so I'm not sure if I'll boost that percentage anymore or not. :/
Popular Post Edward_FOX_86
Ok ! I'm really late for my last review and final thoughts of the games. To be sincere I blame my lazyness here cause I had plenty of time to write and to play more of this. The thing is this game was not what I expected. Its a good game but I expected a more linear and faithful reliving of castlevania. I think it can be considered a 2.5 D game maybe? even so Its an action platformmer side scroller with way too many combat mechanics that kind of confused me. You can attack in so many diferente ways and you have so many abilities that I don't consider this as a Castlevania game at least at its core. I play the lords of shadows on the ps3 and did not enjoyed much although I think I enjoyed this one a bit more. As far as the other Games Go I would rate them ou of 10 : Dark Cloud --> 8.5 and my favorite of the event Kingdom Hearts 2 --> 8.5 (played for 1h30 but I really enjoy this series) FIFA 13 --> 8 Another Fifa Game on the GO DEX --> 8 Have to play more of this Castlevania --> 7.5 This is my opinion just cause I did not felt like it was a Castlevania Game although its a Good Game. As for Gaming in general I think I'll plat FIFA 17 thanks to the precious help of my friend @voodoo_eyes . I've been focusing on that and building national teams. Recently I got a pretty good Colombian team with James, Cuadrado and Falcao I've also been playing a bit of DOOM and I have to say its a great game. I did not enjoyed as much as I did on the previous event but the game keeps getting better and I'm loving it. I also bought The Order 1886 for a nice easy Plat I don't think the game is bad but I do agree its Short Edited December 4, 2017 by Edward_FOX_86

Metal Slime King
@Edward_FOX_86 It seemed that your opinion mirrored my own, that Mirror of Fate was more of a LoS game than it was a Castlevania game. I would've appreciated a game that was more of a throwback to the originals in terms of gameplay and particularly music but I think I enjoyed the extended combat mechanics in Mirror of Fate more than you did. Have you tried Harmony of Despair on PS3? That's the closest we've seen to a genuine throwback in a game with trophies. The Rondo remake on PSP was pretty sweet. Maybe Konami will see Capcom reeling in the easy bucks with their legacy collections and take a hint.

Popular Post vin_rob
Sorry I'm a bit late again, bussy on work and wanted to game.. But I'll try and write all of the remaining reviews today. Game #8: Dying light Day 22-24 I Usually don’t really like horror games, but not this black Friday but last year on black Friday me and a friend were talking about a game we could do together he liked this one, because it was cheap I thought why not. I had to play it alone :’(.. But for the rest, the story so far is pretty nice. You, are dropped into a infected zone, getting missions from someone on the other side of the walky-talky. And you have to befriend the locals and help / do missions for them. At the start of the game you are being attacked by some of the locals, and rescued by some others. And then ….. There are day and night I don’t really like the night parts, to horrory for me lol. I’ve got around 20 to 30% of the story. For the rest you can level you attack agility and adventurer level separately. That is something I really like from the game. For the rest, you can get weapons, upgrade weapons and even repair em, but you are only able to do that for an x amount of times. For the rest, the gameplay was a bit getting used to but when it’s there it works. I’m going to try and get my mate to play it with me but for the rest I enjoyed the game. Final trophies 6 / 69 Percentage 50.62%
Popular Post vin_rob
Game #9: Alienation Day 25-27 In the weekend I’ve played Alienation with @MarkusT1992 And @Cubone, we had fun. And what they already said. That it’s a 2D thumb shooter. The game looks good, haven’t really noticed any lag while rendering loads of stuff. Story wise, the earth is under attack by Aliens the attack came out of nothing. And the human race is almost lost, when they made exoskeletons and the suits that you are wearing. And there are story missions you have to follow in a few different area's. I’ve played with the Bio Specialist, I have the option to heal my team mates, or summon a view swarms of nanobots that can heal me while killing the enemy’s (vampiric) and also I can deploy a poisonous gas. There are 20 story missions if you see the tutorial mission as a mission. After you beat the world, the world levels up itself and all missions can be replayed on a harder difficulty. But the risks can be worth it for some nice loot. To play this game with friends isn’t a requirement but it can make it more enjoyable and of course you can take on a higher difficulty. Final trophies 18 / 42 Percentage 50.39% Game #10: FireWatch Day 28-30 I thought I would add a smaller game, since the telltale game isn’t that long and I was planning on taking some more smaller games but I guess that changed a bit. Still the game starts and you get some dialog, after that you can walk a bit. Followed by some more dialog. And then a nice looking walking simulator start with a small story. There a different days, and every day has his own requirement for finishing the day, there is always room for some exploring. And after a while you get a camera, so you can make pictures. Only around 20 of them, it’s the thought that counts. And the pictures you make will be in your credits! The story was actually pretty interesting, don’t want to spoil too much for everybody so I’ll keep it at that I thought it was pretty interesting and that It wouldn’t be a bad thing to just do it once. But also a warning, in the event I got 9 out of 10 trophies because my save file got corrupt. It’s a common bug with this game. So If I would advise to do it all in 1 sitting (currently forced another playtrough to get the final trophie) Final trophies 9 / 10 Percentage 50.51%
Popular Post vin_rob
Game #11: Telltale Guardian of the galaxy Day 28-30 I’m no stranger to Telltale games also the trophie list isn’t really different then the others. Just finish the game to get it platina. I would like to start saying, since I had a training the last 2 days of the event I took 1 December as an extra day since I didn’t had that much time and felt I wasn’t able to give it a good review based on that. The story is about the Guardians of the Galaxy, surprisingly isn’t it? You usually play as star lord, but there are moments in the game you play with someone else won’t spoil with who. But also some of the Time Triggers will be for other members of your squad of well-trained guardians! I actually thought the story was good, from start to finish I was pretty much hooked the only bad thing was when it ended. There were times I thought it was hard to make the choices, but that probably says more about me then the game. While every telltame game I played the only thing you could do was walk, you were able to fly in this game. since you AKA Star lord has jet packs on his shoes. So sorry, no epic space battle’s in a space ship ß see what I did there? Final trophies 31 / 31 Percentage 50.97%
Popular Post dizzyshadow
I promised to sum up my final thought on the games i played during the event, so here goes: The Sexy Brutale (10/10) - excellent adventure game which is pretty much perfect, puzzles are well thought out and it all fits together perfectly, i've even added the soundtrack to my Itunes its that good. the World to the West (9/10) - Biggest surprise of the event for me, reminds me of the Zelda games, only not 10/10 because its not quite up to their standard Cat Quest (8/10) - excellent RPG lite, get a bit harder at the end but its still pretty casual all round, but great fun. Zero Time Dilemma - (7/10) - going a bit on expectation here but it setting up to be a good continuation of the story from VLR Lego: Force Awakens (7/10) - its a lego game with a couple of new ideas and its still reasonable fun. UnBox (6/10) - fairly average platformer but way too many collectibles Far Cry 4 (5/10) - Need to play this more to be sure, but was pretty underwhelmed so far. World of final Fantasy - decent JRPG, but i'd probably rather just go and play pokemon where it borrows so many of its ideas from. Aegis of Earth (3/10) - interesting take on the tower defense formula, but way too repetitive. Grand Kingdom (2/10) - showed promise but just didn't click for me, and way too much online content for a portable game. Feels like i've got away somewhat lightly this time my completion was only down 0.76% during the whole event and after finishing cat quest and Sexy Brutale last night its already back to 50.31% (-0.53%), which is much less impact than the other events had. finishing World to the west is my next target, i'll also aim to play more of ZTD, lego FA & unBox. thanks to Hemiak for hosting the event, i look forward to the next event.
Popular Post PerryToxteth
Kill Your Completion V Final Wrap-Up KYCV Statistics Pre-KYC numbers are in (). Games Completed - Played 90/60 (79/60) Trophies Earned - 2939 (2809) Unearned - 631 (330) Trophy Rarity - 44.15 (43.51) Completion % - 80.17 (88.68) Down - 8.51% Well, I wanted to write a quick wrap-up for my fourth KYC event. This one really did some damage to my completion percentage. I dropped more than 8.5 percent, and even went further than that because Steep added DLC trophies in early December. I was hovering just above my personal Mendoza line (baseball reference) at 80.02. Adding a bonus game of The Lego Movie: Videogame didn't help my completion percentage either but it's been fun to play with my son. I've got my percentage now at 81.39 after earning the Sexy Brutale platinum and am near the Eventide: Slavic Fable platinum. In this event, I set an all-time monthly high of trophies earned with 129. The three other months I have topped 100 trophies in a month all happen to be in KYC events as well. It's pretty funny to view my Monthly Activity graph. It looks like a EKG readout with the KYC events providing the "lub" heartbeat. Of course, earning all those easy trophies rockets my trophy rarity average up and it's now at 44.74%. My profile also now looks like a dunce's report card. At the end of the event, the KYC games came in with four E's, three D's, and four C's. As always, I only play KYC games during the event and I normally only play the games in their allotted spots. I had to make two exceptions to that rule in this event with two MP boosting sessions in Grand Ages: Medieval and Truck Racer. After gaming the first week of December , I have now gained one S. It's always interesting to see what I pick up playing right after the event. Right now my focus is on finishing the story mode in Mafia II and when I have under 45 minutes to play, I have slogged away at Truck Racer. I am most eager to get back to Battlefield I and am starting to make plans to earn my 3000th trophy out of that game with a Romanov double-headed eagle trophy. After visiting St. Petersburg a few years ago, I am a brazen Russophile, but in historic context only. Screw Putin! Here's a quick thought on each game: Level - Mafia II. It definitely plays like an older PS3 game but it's still entertaining. I'm halfway through the story and it gets better with each chapter. The only thing that would've improved this game are some side missions. There's 200 collectibles and without side missions, it really turns into a grind. - The Sexy Brutale. Clever puzzler with an interesting storyline. There's also a great Collectible Walkthrough Guide on PSNP. Level - Steep. Entertaining game but needs a little more structured gameplay. A nice effort by Ubisoft in a genre that is usually underwhelming. - Old Time Hockey. For nostalgia-only gaming, this could be at level. But the trophy requirements drop it down a level. - Grand Ages: Medieval. Civilization strategy games normally suffer on console-play. This one wasn't too bad. - Eventide: A Slavic Fable. It's Artifex Mundi, you know the drill. This one is actually a bit more complicated than their other games and there's collectibles. Level - LEGO Movie: The Videogame. My third try at a LEGO game. This game is underwhelming because frankly, the movie is underwhelming. - Subject 13. Mechanics and gameplay feel like a PS1 game, and that wasn't the developers intention. - Need For Speed. The story and acting is so corny it's beyond laughable. It's repulsive. And the driving in a driving game is pretty pedestrian. And now, announcing Perry Toxteth's new tradition for KYC events, it's awards time! Here's the best and worst from the event! Winner - Battlefield I. I can't wait to get back to this game. I normally despise MP-based games but the MP in this one is fun and you don't have to deal with obnoxious snots. And, there are hours and hours of single-play campaign in this game, and it tells a decent historically-accurate story. ? Winner - A classic, PS+ turd. Boring racing game. Bad mechanics, game freezing, annoying MP trophies. And way too many repetitive tracks in a long slog to a platinum. Thanks agains to all who participated! It's great to read all the veterans' reviews again, and a nice job by the rookies. There's lots of games that got reviewed this event that I am interested in playing. Again, a BIG thank you to Hemiak for hosting. Hopefully next time, you are able to participate. You always have the most interesting game lineup. THANK YOU!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
Popular Post Melanogaster1987
Game #10 of 10: Knack A platformer / brawler in which you play as the title character. Knack is a golem made up of many small relics, developed by scientists who are trying to counter a goblin invasion. The main gimmick is Knack's ability to pick up relics as he traverses the levels, which not only heals him but increases his size and damage output. There are also parts where you need to use your relics to power up machines, or get rid of them to become small, so instead of continuing to get more and more powerful as the game goes on, you'll revert back to being small, weak Knack at the start of each chapter. The game is a little more combat-focused than I was expecting; I would have preferred a bit more platforming action and a few more puzzles too. The combat can be good fun, and there are a tremendous variety of enemies to fight, but Knack's sparse repertoire of attacks makes it feel like an underdeveloped aspect of the game. Also, hit and collision detection seems a bit off at times, and a few of the checkpoints could have been put in more logical places. There are many collectibles to find behind breakable walls. These are either gemstones or pieces of power-up gadgets (but so far I've only found power-up pieces; maybe you don't get gems on hard difficulty?). These power-ups seem like things that will really help you in your quest - energy boosts and increased attack power, for example, so it's definitely worthwhile looking for them. However, I don't like the fact that which item you'll receive is completely luck-based - I haven't quite got all the pieces for any of the gadgets yet, and I'm concerned that things might get a bit too difficult if I don't complete any of the sets soon. Conversely, if you get lucky and obtain something useful very quickly, it could make the early stages too much of a pushover. What I really don't like is the presence of a tie-in mobile game that has puzzles which help with collection - why not just include these in the main game? It feels like I'm missing out on part of the experience. The game is very appealing from a visual standpoint if you like cartoonish graphics - this was a PS4 launch title, and it's definitely a step above all but the finest PS3 games. Finally, if you're looking for a challenge, this is a game for you, despite its childish appearance. Playing on hard difficulty, almost everything will kill you in at most 2 hits. This has led to a fair amount of frustration, but also a lot of satisfaction when you finally pass a difficult fight. My rating: Gold/Silver/Silver Not a particularly great game, but more fun than many give it credit for. --- Trophies earned in this game: 8 (8) for 120 points [11% completion] Total trophies earned in this event: 94 (2, 10, 82) for 1,710 points Current completion rate: 53.56% [Down 6.27% since start of event] Down 0.88% due to Pinball Arcade Down 0.58% due to Thief Down 0.09% due to Ratchet & Clank Down 0.59% due to Broken Age Down 0.67% due to Sleeping Dogs Down 1.02% due to Call of Duty: Ghosts Down 0.42% due to Driver: San Francisco Down 0.55% due to Deus Ex: Human Revolution Down 0.70% due to Dying Light Down 0.45% due to Knack Down 0.32% due to other games not part of this event

Popular Post Kevvik
I've finished off the first of my KYC5 games. The platinum has been achieved on Kona. This was, for the most part, a very enjoyable semi-walking sim/adventure. The story is very well managed and I really liked this game and wandered around in the blizzard exploring everything I could. I held off of looking at a guide because it was really cool discovering stuff tucked away here and there. The survival aspect of the game, managing warmth and health, added to the atmosphere very well. The only problem I had was a small bug which seemed to block me from finishing my last trophy of reading all the documents in the game. One diary would not allow me to read it, informing me I wasn't desperate enough to invade a village woman's privacy. Starting a new game, I tried to go straight to it only to be informed the same thing. Trying a trick I found on a steam board, it still didn't work. Reloading an old save and doing the trick before even going into the house finally worked. Speedrunning the rest of the documents finally landed me my platinum. Overall, I still really enjoyed this but I admit this bug took the shine off a little bit. There seems to be no way around it other than a new playthrough and meeting a completely undeterminable benchmark in just the right fashion. Lots of people have this so maybe a video walkthrough that is out there addresses it but going in blind would make achieving it completely luck-based. Trophies earned: 36/36, 100% for S rank Time played: 22 hrs Final score : 7/10 Did some more trophies on Deception IV: Blood Ties. Working on some of Quest for Dungeons now. Just have the cash grind left on that one. Completion Rate now: 79.02% (-2.46% from the start of KYC5) Event trophies: 173 of 373 trophies earned, 200 unearned trophies remaining for this event's games Lots of recovery still left to go. Popular Post DamagingRob
So I finished Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force. This is really good, because I have JRPGs from past KYCs that I still haven't resumed playing. :/ It really helps that this wasn't a super long one. 40-50 hours I can handle. It's that 100+ stuff that I often get burnt out on and drop.. Overall, I still consider this to be a game deserving of a rating. I really enjoyed my time with it. The 3 different ending paths all add new characters to your roster to keep things fresh. Although, I grinded everyone to Level 999 before tackling Hard mode, so I didn't really use the new characters from the final ending route. ? Very easy and quick to do, thanks to free DLC dungeons. And made Hard mode a joke. But I was more than happy to get on with the story, as soon as possible. After clearing Hard mode, all I had to do was grind to 10,000 kills. Which sounded bad, but took little time. Only 2 and a half hours, which would have been shorter if I had been fully focused on it from the start (was multitasking those Live.PlayStation quests for awhile). So yeah, really fun JRPG with great characters, a good story, multiple endings, and a fantastic soundtrack. I loved the music in this game. Only time I wasn't enjoying it, was when I got lost in a dungeon.. But putting the switch to open the door on the right side, on the left side (which I had already found an orb in, and thought I was done with), was a bit of a dick move.
Popular Post Jaguargenie
Super late Final Review post (sorry) We've got a really mixed bag on this one. A OCD rpg that looks and feel old but damn do I love it, and a weird visual novel/turn based strategy game that i have very mixed feeling about. Let's get started. Trophies: 9/85 for a E rating I'll start with the trophy list. It's a big difference from previous iterations. I plat'd both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, so I have a good idea of what to do to get the list done most efficiently. They have removed the karma system which flips the list on its head. The majority of trophies are mission based. There are a LOT of missions. With the removal of the karma system, there are several other changes. The dialogue system has shifted to the industry standard of giving the general feeling of the response rather than the exact dialogue. The targeting system in Fallout, called VATS has changed too. In previous iterations, the action would completely freeze and you could target various enemies and body parts. Now, the action just slows down. So the percentages could change as a huge enemy is charging at you. Adds a new level of tension to the combat. The other big change is the perks system. You were previously stuck with the stats you picked and got to pick a perk every level based upon those stats. Now, all the perks are available to you and you are able to slowly tweak your stats based upon what perks you want. I don't know if I like the new layout (it's a big overwhelming) but you get used to it. Some criticisms next. This game looks like a ps3 game. It's looks old and a little ugly. The textures are super bland. I will say the draw distance is really pretty impressive. I have yet to see any pop ins and the load times are really not that bad. In the 10 hours or so I've spent, I haven't had any crashes either, which is impressive if you played previous Bethesda games. My other criticism is the character models. They are really stiff, clunky and lip syncing is really off. Despite all that, I'm obsessed. I love it. There are so many locations to discover, places to find, and stuff to open and collect. While the map seems a bit smaller than previous iterations, it is littered with locations to discover. I've only done a small portion of the main quest since I keep getting pulled to check something out I see on my HUD or the horizon. Fallout is a huge game that is going to take me ages to complete, but I'm really enjoying it. Grade: A Trophy Completion: 73.80% (-1.80 since event start) ** I will post my review of Banner Saga and final wrap up later today**
Popular Post Myu
I platted MeiQ today after a couple of days of binge-playing (colds are great for that, you stay on the couch or in your bed all day long while grinding the hours away ). Also, it started snowing this morning and the cat tried to catch snowflakes with its paws. Snow is truly the redeeming feature of winter I don't know with which dungeon crawler I want to go back to next, I feel kinda burnt out by this type of games at the moment.
Popular Post MarkusT1992
Event Overview It's finaly time to post my overview for this this event, so lets start. Event games played: Alienation: Coop / Solo --> coop This is the game I played most till the end of the event together with vin_rob. It's a very good game if you can play with others. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition: It's a Tomb Raider game, which are always good. Psycho-Pass Mandatory Happyness: Unfortunately I didn't get a trophy in this one. That will change sometime as I liked the story so far. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5: Many people dislike this Tony Hawk game but for me it was just like all the other Tony Hawk games I played. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2: A point and click adventure with humor. Probably not for everyone Portal Knights: A little like Minecraft and all the other survival/cafting type games but with a goal to work towards. Chronicles of Teddy: Harmony of Exidus: A mix from Zelda and Metroidvania games with pixel graphics. Nothing special here. Lili: child of Geos: --> I put this game down by one point because of the grind you have to do for the platinum. The game isn't that much fun to start with and then you have to colect 1000 flowers and destroy 1000 vases. Lower amounts would be enough. Asemblance: A short experience with no replay value. If you played it once there's no need to do it again Kings's Quest: ??? Too less time to really play this game. A Reboot of the original King's Quest games. Other games played: Assassin's Creed Origins, Skyrim, Project Cars, Fifa 18 Stats at the start of the event: Completion: 54,70% Played Games: 149 Completed Games: 68 Unearned Trophies: 2315 Stats after the event: Completion: 52,79% (down 1,91) Played Games: 159 (up 10) Completed Games: 70 (up 2) Unearned Trophies: 2619 (up 304) Trophies earned from event games: 81 Trophies earned from non event games: 8 Total trophies earned: 89 A big thanks to @Hemiak from me too for doing these events. It helps with starting new games.
Popular Post Jaguargenie
Trophies: 14/40 for a C ranking and 20% Despite what seems to be universal love for this series, I'm not sold. The game is broken down into two parts. A visual novel like section where you have lines of text (no voice acting) with still pictures of the characters speaking. No motion whatsoever. Your dialogue choices seem to have an effect on events thus far which is nice, but I'm not even sure what the he'll is going on. From what I can gather there is a race of undead who are coming from who knows where to over take the villages in the north. You are the leader of a caravan of hundreds of people trying to outrun them. Here is where some resource management is thrown in to confuse the issue further. As your caravan travels, it consumes food and it's morale steadily decreases. Your dialogue choices are supposed to accomplish several goals: accrue resources, protect the caravan, and keep moving so you don't get overrun by the undead. Part two is a turn based strategy played out on a grid. This part is my biggest issue. Each character has two combat choices: attack and special. Many times the specials aren't especially useful. When u attack, you can either attack their shield or health. This is my other issue. The shield has to be reduced before u can really damage their health. The enemies seem to ignore this rule. I don't know if it's something I'm missing or just an element to artificially increase the difficulty. But it seems unfair. Because of the obtuse nature of things and what might be the unfair nature of enemy AI, I'm giving this a C. Final summary to follow in a little bit.
Popular Post Jaguargenie
Final Wrap Up Better late than never. I got through my 8 committed games plus one extra. Posting this a little late, but here are the 9 games in my event in order of preference. All in all, I'm a bit disappointed by the titles for this event. It's a shame, but it is what it is. Frozen Wilds (A+) This was bonus content and not even on my list but I started it the day the doc came out. It's so good because it's more Horizon. The new machines are great and ramp up the difficulty. The new map is beautiful and it just adds more awesome to an already amazing game. Fallout 4 (A) The few criticisms I have about this don't really take away from the total package. It's a great rabbit hole that I'm going to fall down into. It's going to be a long time before I can walk 10 feet and not discover something new and cool. What Remains of Edith Finch (B+) Yes its a walking sim. But its a beautiful, weird, quirky and very different walking sim. It tells a really heart wrenching story that is worth playing. And honestly, the scene with the swing set choked me up... Marvel Heroes Omega (R.I.P.) (B) Most of my hours in Novemeber were spent trying to complete this before it closed. I couldn't do it. Oh well. That plat is lost forever. But I was actually enjoying it despite the ridiculous grind. Darkest Dungeon (B-) This one is an absolute beast. At the end of my first mission I had lost half my party to death and one other was at "death's door" when the mission finished. It's punishing at every turn. I enjoy it, but man it's going to be tough to get through. Crysis 3 (C) A beautiful, gorgeous, punishing FPS. It doesn't hold your hand, it's full of monster closets, and the checkpoints are far apart. The story is totally uninteresting so the gameplay is what would keep you coming back. I'll finish it, but I don't feel terribly compelled right now. Salt & Sanctuary (C-) Maybe it will take some getting used to. Taking the Souls formula and bringing it to 2D changes things a lot. The rolling through/past enemies and jumping makes it a totally different experience. I hadn't gotten used to the changes by the time I had to move on to another entry. Hopefully I do. Banner Saga (D) I just discussed my issues with this yesterday. The more I play, the less fair it feels. Seems like the AI doesn't play by the same set of rules. This one is going to be tough to finish. Undertale (F) why does everyone love this game??? Why would u play it more than once? I had to force myself to finish the first play through. I just don't get it. Honestly, if anyone wants to try and explain it to me, I'm all ears. Thanks to @Hemiak for hosting yet again. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year everyone!!!
Popular Post Metal Slime King
I got the plat in Knack yesterday after numerous playthroughs and am downgrading my score to a () due to unnecessary grinding and the pointlessly restrictive save file system. When you open a treasure chest you get random loot which could be a gadget part or a crystal. You won't get duplicate gadget parts which is good but you will get duplicate crystals beyond what is required to unlock the different coloured Knacks and the diamonds are quite rare so eventually you will only need diamonds and you will keep getting trash crystals. I went through normal difficulty at first without getting any diamonds so then I switched over to easy to quickly get through levels and collect loot. When I got to a level where there was a chest close to the start I would restart the game if it wasn't a diamond and I eventually farmed diamonds this way over 2.5 passes through the game. This was when I found out that if you wanted to change difficulty or what flavour of Knack you were playing as you had to start a fresh file that didn't have any of the gadgets unlocked. This just seemed like such an arbitrary limitation to having fun with the game. You can select difficulty and Knacks in Chapter Select but that only lets you play through an individual level and doesn't contain any chests. The simple combat mechanics in Knack don't really hold up to the multiple playthroughs required to plat so what was a fun game on the first playthrough quickly wore out it's welcome. I did like that the hardest difficulty didn't simply make the enemies damage sponges and actually upped the challenge of the platforming sections in areas. After finishing this game I might eventually get Knack 2 but I'm in no hurry, I could wait a long, long time to see if it shows up on PS+.
Popular Post Edward_FOX_86
What's Up Everyone!!! Quick update on my gaming history. I've been playing DOOM from KYC 4 and I'm really enjoying. I tried the multiplayer and I have to say its fun. Whilst its not the focus of the game I've enjoyed it for what it is. Much like the Tomb raider Online I think this one is also not bad. Lots to do and evolve, lots of diversity, really well thaught. As you probably guessed I've also been playing FIFA. I'm switching between 16 (to plat) and 17 (for fun Got the plat already). Also tried King of Fighters and its really good. I'm planning on buying 12, I have the 13 and so far so good. There's a character that I love. Kyo I think, the flame guy. Other than that I've walking some Dogs (part of my Job) and doing some check in's (also part of my other job) BTW have a Merry Xmas and Happy holidays season Cheers Guys Edited December 12, 2017 by Edward_FOX_86
Popular Post DamagingRob
Technically not one of my KYC games, but I did play it during the event, and made a post about it. Danganronpa blah blah: Ultra Despair Girls has been Platted. The story got better, and even had me on the verge of tears near the end (I'm a sensitive guy, shut up..). But the gameplay was just so fricking tedious, that I probably wouldn't give it anything higher than a . Trying to aim and shoot moving Monokumas in their damn eyeball was such a stupid bit of game design. And getting A ranks was a major pain in the ass on the Normal setting (glad I didn't listen to the guide writer on pst.org and play on Hard..). This entry had a lot of weird fan service, too. Like swatting mechanical hands, attempting to grope Komaru. Or having her clothes get destroyed Senran Kagura style in a particular fight against a particular someone. And with how short her skirt is, I'm sure her panties were flashed dozens of times.. Felt out of place in a Danganronpa game (or I don't recall the first two well enough). So yeah, definitely the worst entry in the franchise, as far as I'm concerned. Doubt I'll ever buy and play it again on the PS4.
