I've been more focused on platinum-ing a specific franchise right now, so I can be removed from the active status. I haven't been motivated enough to play what I want + finish backlog games. 

 

I'll still peak in and see how everyone else is doing though :))

Only the odd one here and there that I can't finish and forget about for few years.

i do that too but my profile is almost 13 years old now and 14 year old me really hated doing collectibles and also had a to bad internet connection for some online trophies. so most backlog games i have are about 8-10 years old^^ plus DLC cleanups that i also barely did in the past

No, it’s not possible, I asked about switching a game last year, and I was told “if you were fine to share it with the group it’s fine as a streak game” which I totally agree with now.

Do not stir up drama in this event.

The tiles have been changed upon reasonable request before. As in, within a month or so of an update. If you're going to quote me, do so accurately:

After I spent hours compiling the yearly summary for everyone & reseting the OP, it was still 2 months before you made a request to change a tile a year old. I'll be explicit for a moment, it has not always been easy to tweek the OP for preference sake. This event does not see seasons with time off like others on this site. It's been updated continuously, every month for the past 3 years. I can see how you may feel it was one simple request that was turned down. Remember all the others that have been made & fulfilled through the years.

Now flip that to my perspective, with a handful of people making a request or two here & there. They add up quickly, with a singular person to fulfill them. There came a point, as the event has grown & my personal life changed in that time, that I needed to set a limit.

I've put plenty of work into this because I truly like to see others conquer their backlogs. Finishing much loved games, or completing those difficult ones. I put my free time into this, & there's not enough of that to acquiesce every request.

That being said, I will not see you snap an attitude at someone who has never made a special request. It may not have been written in the rules, & how disappointing it may have to be added, but I have no tolerance for deplorable conduct to fellow participants. I responded to them already, it was unnecessary to answer them in that manner.

Who's still running for the yearly streak?

I know we lost at least two by now.

 

I'm still going for the streak evem if i was kinda quiet but since pokémon unite went live a spend nearly all gaming time on that game. 

 

Finally managed to "rebuild" my gaming space so that the cats can't reach the tv anymore which will make gaming a lot easier

 

I really don't want to use my Ratalaika backlog for this group or post about them here but if i have too i got some streak savers so i guess the streak for this year is pretty save for me.

Fair bit of self sabotage from me this month. Didn't want to get lazy and use Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memories as my backlog title so I ticked that off in 5 months and 3 weeks haha. Therefore I then had to make sure I continued to work on...

Lets just say this felt a lot longer than 2 years. This month required me doing 7 maps a day for 30 days to get my 250 random missions done but at least it kept me occupied. It was really grindy, and made one of my mates who completed in a week have a month off from gaming

Enjoyable game but the amount of time needed to complete felt just over the top. Anyway after revisiting it a few times, its done.

 

 

Then fortunately after that managed to have another game drop in a bit of self sabotage before the July deadline - forcing a bit more work next month.

This one was grindy too, but when I actually sat down and persisted grinding out the 500 enemies for each class finally got done. ALthough im annoyed at some fellow gamers that have laughed at me about the list, but they only did the NA version that required 250 kills each. I don't know what the EU list did, but we got punished for some reason haha.

Yep, I update the challenge section as I'm doing the monthly OP update. At least, up to the point I've seen reported in. I don't remove anyone from there until it's clear their trophy list has been updated & shows no eligible games, or they post about their streak breaking. 

 

Also, like last year, there may be others here not intentionally going for the challenge that qualify. You won't see them listed unless they @me to be added; but their accomplishment will still be noted at the end of the year & added to the Hall of Fame. 

 

& forgot to mention - since people have noticed those completed games counter - give me a heads up if you ever find yours wrong. It's an important, little detail for ranking that's easy to forget.

Well I added another game for my year, after finally getting the Performance Tests done, Transistor is complete. I really enjoyed the game and the music is beautiful, entirely worthwhile to play through and experience.

I think I will do three games this month for the streak - I feel kinda like I'm cheating it a bit if I only use the Witcher 3 DLCs.

I've already completed Borderlands 3's final DLCs with @Fnee2000 this month (which put me at the 50% mark for the backlog games I want to clear off this year), but they can't count fully either.

And now that it took me nearly 6 months of on and off playing Yu-Gi-Oh and obliterating everyone with Exodia I've noticed I'm only 2 weeks away for 6 months. I'm holding off with the last 6 duels until the mark is reached ?

 

But all three together makes me feel comfortable with what I've achieved this month and submitted to the challenge.

Yes, I have an update! As @JayDeLosDioses stated above, we knocked out the final 2 DLC's for Borderlands 3. So, back to 100% on Borderlands 3. I'll try not to be a stranger, just still tough to work on anything that takes a long time to complete...

I was just checking out your event the other day. I've been looking for one to share my experience with Switch games, so allowing games for all systems was kind of appealing. That, & it might give me a kick to start tackling the unplayed Vita backlog.

Plus donuts are a weakness of mine (not jealous at all of that summary). So expect a post from me when I figure out the 10 I'd like to focus on first ?

Can't take credit for the Form idea, that was suggested by someone else on this thread. It has made a world of difference though to keep completions in one place & one format. I can see everything I need for the summaries in one excel sheet, use an equation to write the line in the sections, & sort alphabetically for easy copy/paste when updating the OP.

A part of me will miss those summaries. I've always liked how the yearly ones come out, but gathering everyone's stats, then platinum & game images is too much to undertake anymore. I'd still like to try & do something tailored for everyone, like still listing out their oldest completions & such. No promises at the moment though, @everyone. My work schedule was just finalized for the remainder of the year & I'll be working Christmas day through New Years Eve. So, not much of a holiday break there to cobble something together.
