Over the last 3 years this site has given me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people, read some great articles, opinions and thoughts. It has been a wealth of gaming information and help, laughs and smiles and all the in between. It has given me the chance to meet some of the most hardcore trophy hunters, completionists, casual gamers, trophy whores, trophy haters and those still undefined , all corners of the spectrum covered and focused in at the core, a love of gaming. I have run a couple of comps, supported a few and participated (but rarely finished) many more. So now as I move towards the next adventure I would like to offer something back to the members of this site that have and continue to make it great.

Over the next 8 months running from 15th of April - 14th of December I will be putting a vote to the community to decide which game I should play and attempt to plat. The game with the most votes will be selected and played. The games will be all my own selection based on titles I have been anticipating for some time. A couple of the games may have been started (most likely the first hour / more likely the first 5 mins ) but in these cases I will be restarting them anyway. The voting period will run for one week ( 8th to 14th of the month ). Every person that votes in the current month for any game regardless of whether it is the most voted and therefore played game will go into the draw for a PSN card randomly drawn. Over the course of this giveaway to the community I will be maintaining my usually play style of short games / VN and trophy rush throughout the period so will not be focusing solely on the chosen game.

If the game is platted in the month (15th - 14th following month ) a PSN card to the value of $50 AU will be awarded by random draw to one player who votes in the current month

 

If the game is not platted in the month (15th - 14th following month ) a PSN card to the value of $100 AU will be awarded by random draw to one player who votes in the current month

 

PSN cards can be payed in AU/NA/UK/HK/JP region to the equivalent of the AU value listed above.

Any member of this site (premium or regular) from any country that has had an account registered on this site for at least 3 months from the current date 9/4/2018. Please only one vote per person, don't use secondary accounts 

 

There are no restriction on winners if you win once you can vote again in following months to re-enter draw. 

 

Feel free to comment as we go if you like but not required all votes are registered via the poll above. I will try to post some game thoughts as I go but we shall see.

So during the 8 months you're willing to spend $800? That's quite a lot of money to give away to random people, of course it's your choice but for me that's a lot money so I just hope you've thought about it a lot. 

 

Also I know it's a not a problem for most people but maybe change the text colour? I know some people might be colour blind and even I had a hard time reading it.

Good point but I like the text colour so I think it stands. As for giving away money to random people I don't see it that way. I have enjoyed my time on here and wish to give back. I am sure many people that have enjoyed and benefited from something that were in a similar position would do the same. As for thinking it through my word is 100%, I wouldn't do something like this if I didn't intend to see through. Thanks for you vote.

Ni no kuni is an amazing game, better than its sequel, and has soo much charm. 

I couldn't recommend it enough

Glad to see you've thought about it! I know many people do giveaways and think the more money they offer the more people will pay them attention but that also caused problems for them, I just wanted to be sure you've thought about it so that doesn't happen to you.

Ni No Kuni . This is coming from someone whose favourite genre is RPG.

Thanks, to be honest the reason I chose this amount was I think it is perfect for someone to be able to buy a game (or two) and have a great experience.  As for attention it is overrated, knowing someone can have a great experience they may/or may not have done otherwise is more than enough. Shame you couldn't really get into Persona 5. Maybe try it again in a few months . For this poll I voted for Watch Dogs 2. I know it's probably not going to win but I think the game does deserve some credit. Did you enjoy the first Watch Dogs, cj? The second one improved on a lot of things over the first one, but the story and characters in the first one were definitely better in my opinion. That doesn't take away the fact that it's a lot of fun to play and that you should put some time into it some day .

I went with Ni No Kuni this time, was tempted to choose Night in the Woods as I've only heard good things about it, but NNK has been my most anticipated game this year (and I've still not played it!)

Voted Final Fantasy XII since it's the only game i played from the list besides AC: Brotherhood. It would be a lengthy platinum but boosters cut many hours off

Sad to hear you didn't like P5 but I do know it's a game that's not for everyone.  I voted for Secret of Mana since I've heard it's great and I haven't played most of the games on that list.

Thanks for your vote, I did enjoy watch dogs. I actually quite enjoyed the story too so looking forward to getting into watch dogs 2 at some point. I guess we shall just have to wait and see ?

Thanks for your vote, Ni No Kuni does look great. I have played maybe the first hour a few weeks ago and could definitely feel myself getting drawn in. Looking forward to restarting and playing it at some stage I guess we will just have to wait and see. 

 

You should try Night in the Woods, I am sure you would enjoy it, perhaps one of the best underrated games for awhile.
