Popular Post ChickenExotic Posted July 6, 2013 Popular Post Share Posted July 6, 2013 Hi everyone, I didnt want to post this in a game thread because this really has nothing to do with games, but more about how much i have come to adore this site, basically everything about it is amazing, and its only improving more and more, within a few minutes of browsing, looking at trophy lists, tips, and seeing how organized things are, i got me a lifetime membership! I have enjoyed everything, specially being able to customize your signature and profile banner, and all of that stuff. one thing that really surprised me in this site is how most if not all members show respect for one another, wether someone likes/doesnt like a certain game, you back up your tastes by proving facts why you enjoy what you do. I dont think i have seen anyone disrespect someone, or call someone any derogatory names. Basically everyone here acts like an adult, people write to eachother how they would talk to someone they know for a long time, courteously and respectfully. I am glad I became a lifetime member of this site, with the PS4 coming out in a few months im sure Sly has a few tricks rolled up his sleeve and the changes we will see on this site will be awesome! To celebrate how amazing this site is I am going to personally get 3 (non-premium) members 1-year Memberships! just to show that kindness goes a long way! Gamers aren't generally known to be polite and courteous, especially when their favorite game is challenged and you are absolutely right about the good folks here being consistently polite and just good fun to converse with. We have little spurts occasionally where someone gets out of hand but we also have some fantastic moderators that allow us to have a heated discussion while making sure no one crosses a line, whereas other sites tend to delete posts or topics as soon as people start to argue. But again, that comes back on our awesome community that can argue a point without insulting another member, which I cannot stress how awesome that is. We also have the absolute best admin a community could ever ask for. He constantly adds features that we ask for as well as those he thinks up on his own but he is still a part of the community. It is rare to see a site admin actually take part in the community and see what we want, what we like, what works or doesn't work and everything like that. I'm definitely glad I donated to become part of the beta for this site and it is awesome to see the fantastic community that has grown since then. Sly, keep up the good work. We gamers are a passionate and opinionated bunch, so it makes me happy when I see us communicating in a civilized manner and knowing that what one person likes another one might hate, and that it is perfectly fine to be in disagreement over aspects of a game or a console, etc. I don't know anyone from this site personally, but I do have a level of respect for you guys, because I see the passion and dedication we all have to going that extra mile to help a fellow trophy hunter, or to reach a platinum milestone, or to just strengthen the community. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sly continues to do an awesome job with our Profiles and although it's taken awhile to take off, the community here has taken a life of its own. I salute you all. Except Curb. Elbender93 Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 I love this site too, I don't even remember the last time I used the trophy collection on the ps3, every time I want to check someone's trophies I go straight here and look for their profile also, as you said, in the forums pretty much everyone is nice, I've never seen big arguments or people insulting each other. I rarely find a good gaming site that is welcoming and has a large group of friendly individuals that come together and share their habits and gaming interests. It made my transition to the PlayStation more enjoyable and comfortable. This site has so much potential to keep growing and improving with this type of community. I have not ran into any disrespectful people yet. That actually surprises me. When I first joined up I suspected the ocasional troll to be annoying myself and others, but I haven't ran into that yet. And I think if there were ever any disrespectful people to join they wouldn't last long. The community on this site would act like the human body. Building around the disrespectful person and spitting them out and away from this site for good. The community on this site is like one big family. Couldn't ask for more! We're all just a big happy family, (Tho that would mean I'm the newborn baby! >_>) we all look out for each other, and help each other in any way we can. drummerklg Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 (edited) Nice to see you are enjoying this site, I would have been lifetime a long time ago but I don't have paypal/credit card But yeah the people on this site are very respectful of one another, and I have met some great people that have helped me get a platinum for a game even though they didn't have to, I wish we were as known as ps3trophies.org, we could be though, if we had competitions/tournaments/ and a very nice trophy guide system(the trophy tips are fine) to compete with other sites, that should be a main focus of ours, in due time I guess. Arkthur Posted July 6, 2013 Share Posted July 6, 2013 This site is the best tracker on the web, I've been on a lot of site and while this is certainly not the most crowded, it is the most organized (probably a consequence of the first one) and were people actually enjoy showing off their trophies. I've held numerous staff roles on .com, which was a great site in its pomp, but I've grown to love the design, fluidity and statistical brilliance of PSNProfiles. I will one day buy you a pint, Sly.
