Finished Anthem for platinum trophy #225! Happy to finally be done with the game, especially the collectible grind. I wasn't ready to dive into anything too substantial after that so I knocked out a few cheap plats to pad my % a little before starting some new games. I also played through Ape Escape which was a nice little nostalgia trip. It took me about 8 hours over two days, but it was a nice palate cleanser.

 

This week I'm hoping to finish Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate and at least one other game before Friday. I know Sunbreak is going to take up my whole weekend so any progress will need to be made before then.

Oh well, that's June done for me.

Was originally planning on taking it easy and backing off with the trophy numbers, but ended up being surprisingly productive, considering I started out with a concussion, lol

 

Managed to knock over 2 of my targets for the year in one hit... reach 1500 plats and 39,000 trophies. I was going to leave it there, but decided to make my trophy count for the month match the year of my birth :1969 

All up giving me an increase of 1.32%

Hello everyone, another week of percentage drop for me, and I guess by nowit is safe to assume I won't be able to reach 8% anymore, but I'll keep going and see if I can at least reach 5%. Also I am going to try to plat Overwatch before it closes at October so that'll mess with my progress too because it'll probably take a ton of time from now on. Does anyone around has that Discord server that boosted OW? I deleted it by mistake and their game session advertising the server is not up anymore

Well I’m a bit of a broken record this week just passed, managed to make some more progress in Final Fantaay XIV, sub ran out today so in 17-18 days I will start my first sub and see if I can 2/3 ? left for the platinum, then use the rest of the time to continue the main quest ones in the expansions. Went on holiday for long weekend just gone so really got very little time for anything else. I did start my side project of going back through Monster Hunter World in order to get to Iceborn with some of my weapon skill muscle memory in tact. I carted twice on low rank Barroth… so guess the only way is up!

 

This weeks plan is primarily to focus on the main story for Horizon Forbidden West, I was doing all sorts of side content and meant I was leaving story progression going on too long - should have plenty of hours this week to try and wrap up the main quest and begin the push towards platinum, will be number 40 which is one of my 2022 goals ?.

Undertale 0% - 100% 

Had wanted to play this for quite a while after hearing so many good things. Game really wasn't for me and I didn't even end up finishing it after plat. Just watched videos on the alt endings because I was sick of it, but happy I gave it a go.

Yakuza 0 0% - 41%

Working on this right now and going to make it my 50th plat. Done a lot of the harder stuff on the completion list already so feeling confident on getting it done. Another game that ive had on disc for about a year.

Well, my number has tanked. The kiddo accidently started the Nick fighting gameand I started Borderlands 3 with my brothers. So I need to get into those. Well, if I can find time to game. Barely finding time to just keep my trophy streak alive. WHICH was broken last week The family got a little summer cold and I took a nap that ended up being the rest of the day and I didn't get a trophy. Ugh. Oh well. Time to just get it started. My best month so far, weirdly I felt like I made no progress. I only finished 3 very short games and started a few others, but I guess I’ve been getting enough trophies in my already started games to make a difference. 
 

Lucky me that this was posted this morning and not this evening as my percentage has tanked all the way to 59% thanks to me starting up a few new games courtesy of plus premium. I’m not sure I’ll make it back to 63% by the end of the month, but I can sure try.

I'm a day late for my end of month update so instead I'll do a beginning of month update. My percentage dropped below my goal again but that was because I was convinced to start Fall Guys again. Then I went and bought MX vs ATV and wanted to get the online done asap. Seems like a terrible game imho but maybe with a few patches it'll be alright. It's so horribly unbalanced. I cannot win for the life of me on the easiest difficulty and I play a lot of racing games. Oh well; gonna shelf it for now I think and work on something else. July will be a month of tanking my PCG because I have a few games I want to start. But my starting stats for July are as follows:

Hit my goal 6 months in.  2 determining factors in this.  1) Shoulder surgery, so the last 3 - 4 months I've been like a kid on summer vacation playing games all day.  2) The new PSplus sub which let me knock off a bunch of easier and shorter games to boost the %.  Dream is over in a few weeks when I go back to work  lol

Weekly update time

So we've arrived at the 6 month mark, and I'm 1% over my initial target, going to try and either make it either 2% over (97%), or just a flat 3% increase overall (96.46) next I think.

 

A bit of a drop this week. 

Started and Finished Lego Movie 2, then had a couple days off, where I couldn't make my mind up what to go for next.

Eventually settled on MGS4. I've played this previously, but before it had trophies added to it.

Currently doing the Chicken Emblem playthrough, done the majorit yof thigns required, except for Continues & Recovery items used, as well as the obnoxious 35 hours play time (currently on around 23 hours, just after the Crying Wolf boss fight, probably going to jsut let the game run for 10 hours or so, take my time with teh res tof the act, and then see how much afk time I need in act 5 (quite a few lengthy cutscenes, so that should cut down the tiem a bit).I did mess up on 1 thing, forgot to pick up the doll during the Laughing Octopus boss fight, thought it waws picke dup after the fight, but its meant to be collected during the 2nd phase. Will get it next playthrough.

 

Probably going to do 1 or 2 playthroughs at a time, then play something else in between, just so I don't get too bore. Got my eye on finally playing Kena Bridge of Spirits.

Plenty progress made this week, although not really reflected in the bare numbers. The main stumbling block to 100% in JC3 is the 112 challenges that need to be 5-starred (well, 5-geared, but that just sounds a bit silly). Last Sunday evening - after polishing off the outstanding collectibles and other miscellaneous trophies - I had done a grand total of 2. Slight tactical planning error on my part, but never mind. A quick finger count tells me that we're now up to a total of 77 ticked off, so that's decent progress. Some of them were easy enough to tick off first or second time, some took a few goes and some have taken a lot longer and several rather undignified fits of swearing and controller throwing. Not got round to attempting them all yet and there's been a couple of ones that I've tried and done so repeatedly badly I've had to give up on and return to later. Think I've watched more YouTube videos this past week than over the rest of my life combined. 

 

Might be limiting my time in this a bit next week - I'm not a big fan of dipping in and out of games but I've poured a fair few hours into this and I'm getting a little burned out with it now. Plenty of time in the next six months to spend a few hours here and there trying (and probably still failing) to get what's needed in the challenges but I'm about ready to move on and try something (TBD) a bit different. Worst case scenario, an 82% increase in the past couple weeks is still pretty good I suppose.

No matter the desire, no matter the proyect, no matter the impulse, no matter the ideas, it seems life, obligations and routine conspire to keep my trophy progression at a ridiculous level. This past June month was a "Nickelodeon" month (only got trophies in 2 games featuring Nickelodeon characters) for the "awesome" quantity of... 12 trophies. So, let's make a quick review of these.

 

1.- 11 of the 12 trophies obtained, were achieved in the game "Sponge Bob Square Pants: Battle for Bikini Bottom: Rehydrated". A fun mix of platform, adventure and some puzzles. Right now i'm in the "Sand Mountain Level" and i need one more spatula to open the "Krusty Crab" one. Reading some guides, i discovered there is a possible glitch involving some golden spatulas marked as "obtained" by the game but still missing to collect. I hope i don't have to struggle with this because it seems like an easy plat.

 

2,- Started the "Nickelodeon All Star Brawl" game and cleared arcade mode with Aang in the easiest difficulty. I won't lie. The game is a bad, bad, bad clone of Super Smash Bros but.. it is an easy plat (with the exception of the trophies involving the defeat of CPU enemies at 9 level of skill).

 

The bad news is that, most probably, i have to put these two games in a temporary halt because of the shutdown of some game servers. This affects me in: Jump Force (PS4), Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (PS3) and Assassins Creed: Revelations (PS3). These 3 games and their multiplayer trophies will become my top priority until i get everything in MP mode before the shutdown of the servers. So, anybody willing to help me with these 3, is most welcome.

 

Plans for July:

 

1.- Boosting the MP trophies of AC: Brotherhood, AC: Revelations and Jump Force. If i can get the plat for these 3 games, the better.

2.- Focus in "Battle for Bikini Bottom:" and "Nickelodeon All Star Brawl".

3.- Optional objective: Achieve the MP trophies for Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag (PS3) as, knowing Ubisoft, is the most probable target for shutdown after September 1 (even if this means spending money buying the DLC for the "extra" trophies).
