I have barely left my house and have been totally inactive in almost all that time. No job in all that time or anything of that kind either obviously... I basically might as well have been dead all that time. Mid september I got some new meds which finally seems to be working, and I am slowly getting better. I used to go to the gym a lot back before I got really sick and was in pretty good shape. 8 years of inactivity has obviously taken its toll on my body and I was to put i mildly, in really bad shape. Not fat or anything, quite the opposite actually, really thin and no muscles at all. Couldn't run either and just going up a set of stairs was a challenge and so on and on. Anyway I started going to the gym again about 10 weeks ago, and I have now put on a good 10 kgs, my arms have gone from 33cm to 39cm, I can run no problem and have even bought a new Mountain bike I look forward to use a lot more come spring. Most of my back pains are also gone and it really helps on my mental health too. I still have to start my life all over again, but I finally see a hope that things can actually get better. Makes me wonder what could've been done to keep that "spark" on your end from burning out. You've repeated that it's not my fault, but what you said just makes me feel like I wasn't good enough for you or somethin'. It's okay, though, 'cause I'm used to not being good enough for anybody. I'm super hurt and confused now, but I'll be fiiiine. Just can't let this whole situation drain me of all my motivation to improve myself and my quality of life, but that'll be easier said than done now. Let this be a reminder for myself to do certain things more for myself than for others, albeit without being entirely selfish or lacking empathy. 😕 I have no mouth, and I must scream. GothGirlMaxine Posted December 26, 2023 Share Posted December 26, 2023 I haven't felt motivated to play anything other than PS3 for the past couple of weeks and today I had some motivation as I was going to play COD Ghosts with friends and my plans were shot down by a PS5 software update. So it was back to PS3 for me. Honestly, I feel like the PS3 is nostalgic safe space for me, where I can just play games and not worry about updates, patches and other modern gaming bullshit.
