Taruta13
I had an oopsie and accidentally downloaded the wrong card that had an extra game on it. I'm fixing it now. ? I am playing SaGa Frontier now, but I don't know if I want to add it to the card yet. Edited February 15, 2023 by Taruta13
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Another entry down! Game: Hardspace: Shipbreaker Box: "That You Meant to Play Last Year" A weird game that splits the difference between those "mundane task simulators" like Power Wash Simulator or House Flipper, and more traditional games, by having the "mundane" task you are doing be something pretty sci-fi: deconstructing space ships in a Zero-G dry-dock! Works essentially like a puzzle game, where each system on a ship must be considered - coolant systems need to be disassembled, fuel valves flushed incase they start a fire, radiation must be managed, reactor meltdowns avoided, materials burned off and sliced, hulls tethered and torn apart, and airlocks opened in correct sequences (to avoid smashing yourself into a wall and breaking your suit, or sending the whole ship spinning around into a furnace, or into space!) The ships are varied and cool looking, the different puzzles for each ship type is interesting, the visuals and the soundtrack are fantastic... and there's a surprisingly fleshed out and smart narrative in there too, based around exploitation of workers by corporations, union-breaking / forming, and labour rights. Could have stuck this one in for "Underplayed" - as it has far fewer owners than it should - but since I bought this one last year, and just never got around to it until now, seems a perfect fit for the "meant to play it last year" box!
Popular Post Han_the_Dragon
Well, looks like my updates here have been lazy... I though that I had done a second update, but now checking, I didn't... Anyway, after finishing FF7 Crisis Core, I end up going into Dragon Ball Xenoverse to clean up a bit while waiting for Persona 3 to release, but in the process, I not only finished the story, but also the platinum! Xenoverse was something that I had started ages ago to do the online, but never went back to clean up the remaining trophies, so it was a good side effect (it also made me interested in clean up Xenoverse 2, but that will have to wait until after the Persona 3 platinum). Then I played Paraiso Island, whose only value resides in being completely a non-micro-transaction F2P 100%, that also only takes 1-2 hours to clear.. Exactly what I wanted to get done with that box (I also considered Caravan Stories and Cuties Hacked, but felt like Paraiso Island would be the more easily ignored in my profile..) Well, after that was just Persona 3 and more Persona 3, until I finished the 1st playthrough.. That said, for as much as I like Persona 3, it made me realize 2 things. The first is that the Persona series really evolved, specially in things that make it more lively and robust, with each game, since they started with the current Persona formula. The second thing is that playing it closely after Crisis Core, it looks like a really lazy port, not a Remaster.. The game deserved better! And now on my downtime, I decided to start with the easy Artifex Mundi games of 2023, since last year I also used an Artifex Mundi trilogy (Nightmares From the Deep), this year, I will be using another. This time Eventide. Played the first 2, and were as easy as expected, but I feel like Nightmares from the Deep was a more enjoyable story, at least for me.. I still have the 3rd game to play, so, it's possible that I do that one before returning to Persona, to mark the end of another Artifex Mundi series (although, unlike last year, this time I'm not really rushing to play the 3rd game of the trilogy..) Spoiler B5 - In a Series New to You - Eventide: Slavic Fable N1 - That You Can Beat in One Sitting - Eventide 2: Sorcerer's Mirror N5 - For Another PSNP Event - Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion •PS5 G1 - Free to Play - Paraiso Island •EU G4 - That You Started but didn't Finish - Dragon Ball: Xenoverse •PS4 G5 - That Gives You the Feels - Persona 3 Portable •EU Next up for the event is potentially Assassin's Creed Rogue, or NFS Heat or the last of the Eventide trilogy games.. That said, my main focus after next weekend will be Persona 3 second playthrough, so, the progress for the event will not be that great.. and I still have most of the slots open for change.. Taruta13
Might look into the Cowabunga Collection for G2(anthromorphized animals, since the Turtles used to be animals until they got irradiated with toxic waste ), since I saw an Afro-American speedrunner speedrun TMNT Shredder's Revenge and while that was a cool game, the platinum for that game requires multiplayer which is impossible for me(as well as requiring you to go deathless and play on the harder difficulty in Arcade Mode which I suck at). After I saw the watch trick for the Cowabunga Collection that lets you skip 99% of the games, I might look into that collection later this year. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of my favorite cartoons I watched in high school and I had seen the Ooze movie(the one with Vanilla Ice as a cameo ) so it'd be cool to visit all of the classic TMNT games that came out. And yes, I know that I can't cheese the two 16-bit tournament fighters but the collection has a ton of 'cheats' that you can use to make the games much easier for yourself. Also, might look into Theaterhythm: Final Bar Line for I5(starts with the first letter of your User ID) because, c'mon, it's a Final Fantasy spin-off, and while I despise Rhythm Games after Melody of Memory, I played the demo's FFXIV section and I enjoyed it. I have played through most of the Artifex Mundi series in older accounts, including Nightmares from the Deep, and I do agree that those titles had a much richer story based in the lore of the mythical Davey Jones and undead pirates that would make Jack Sparrow blush, but the one thing that killed those games for me was the stupid mahjong mini-games you have to do. The second was the worst as the first mahjong wasn't available until twenty minutes into the story which is bad as you can't save scum due to Artifex Mundi's policy of auto-saving after you start a puzzle and that counts against you in the time department. I think Artifex is starting to show their age as the recent releases are way too easy to get the platinum in. I just platinumed both versions of Crime Secrets and it doesn't even require you beat the game. 17 hours ago, Han_the_Dragon said: The game deserved better! Yeah, not to judge but I bet you're one of those people who was hoping for Persona 3 FES to be ported instead of P3P. For me the mahjong on Nightmares from the Deep was ok, but in my case, I do enjoy mahjong from time to time, so it didn't bother me. It's sad that they are making them more and more into cash grabs now... I still have the Enigmatis trilogy, as well as 4 other games purchased (Noir Chronicles, Queen Quest 4, Scarlet Mysteries and Uncharted Tides), kind of hope that they aren't as much along the bad trend, since I want to eventually play them (well, except Queen Quest 4.. I probably got it in a bungle with the stand alone games, since I don't remember buying it..). I also have a few others in my potential future buys (Grim Legends trilogy, Irony Curtain, Lost Grimoires trilogy and My Brother Rabbit), but maybe I should drop the Artifex Mundi games if they start to be low quality... Yes, I think that's partly right about Persona 3, since I miss the "world" bit and anime cutscenes of Persona 3, and having to trade the Female story for The Answer is something that I wasn't expecting with a remaster, they could have just as easily patched in The Answer into P3P, since The Answer was always a standalone "game" inside P3FES, not part of the main game.. And as I mentioned, when technically P3P and FF7CC got publicity as having the same treatment (Remasters), P3P feels like (and is) just an upscale straight port of a PSP game, while FF7CC is feels like a proper remaster (well, maybe FF7CC did got extra work done to it when compared to most Remasters, not sure). I think this is likely my main grip with the thing, since Atlus did announce it as a Remaster, not a Port, so, I was expecting more.
Yuber6969
Finished the campaign in RWBY: Grimm Eclipse for the "With Gorgeous Vistas" category. "Gorgeous" is subjective, but the game definitely had vistas lol. Spoiler Gensou SkyDrift (Underplayed) Sly 2: Band of Thieves (Anthropomorphized Animals) - Every character in this game is an anthropomorphized animal. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- (That You Meant to Play Last Year) - Self-explanatory. Smoots Summer Games (That You Can Beat in One Sitting) - The story equivalent can be finished in about an hour. The plat can also be finished in one sitting if you have the skill for it (which I didn't). Bakumatsu Rock: Ultra Soul (Historical Fiction or Mythology) - The story takes place in the 19th century.RWBY: Grimm Eclipse (With Gorgeous Vistas) - The game has some vistas.

Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
An update! I played Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders for ‘with mystery or detective themes’. I love detective games, but this was not a good detective game. It was far too easy, Poirot won’t let you advance until you’ve found everything you need, Poirot won’t let you make wrong deductions, even if you make mistakes (for one of the trophies), the other characters tell you the right answer anyway. It was on the plus catalogue so I’m glad I didn’t buy it. The story itself was fine though, it’s Agatha Christie after all, just needed better gameplay.
Popular Post Cassylvania
Man, I was just thinking how much I wish there was another community event going on so that I'd have a reason to target some of the games in my backlog. This will work. I'm in and here is my card. Spoiler B1: B2: B3: Green Hell B4: Tropico 6 B5: I1: Rise of the Slime I2: I3: Drawngeon: Dungeons of Ink and Paper I4: Subnautica: Below Zero I5: N1: N2: Megaquarium: Freshwater Frenzy N3: N4: N5: Risk of Rain G1: G2: Lost in Random G3: Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator G4: G5: O1: O2: O3: Bugsnax O4: O5: Carrion Nice thing is I was able to get all the games I finished this year to fit somewhere, without even resorting to using the free space. I guess for "Last game you acquired", I'll have to use Hogwarts Legacy, since I bought it for myself for my birthday. Too bad because that game could fit almost anywhere I have left.
Popular Post zmastruz
2 more games are done. My That Takes "Forever" to beat game was The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. I've never played a Witcher game in my life before. Yes, I know that's a sin, and now I know better after finishing this masterpiece. The Story is wonderful and I love Geralt and Ciri's father/daughter storyline, the combat system was tricky at first but very doable, funny side quests, lovable characters, a stupid horse that always spawns shitty and hates every bridge you want to cross. A love/hate relationship ?? Only need the Death March run for the plat and the 100% ? Next Game: My With Online Features game was Monster Hunter Rise. I completed every Story mission, so all village and hub quests. Even all event quests are done, so i officially finished the game ? Monster Hunter is a great series to spend many hours with. A unique combat system, great atmosphere, cute buddys called Palicos and Palamute, and a great community. ? I'm not done with the trophies yet, it will take a while, but I'm looking forward to Plat Rise and the upcoming game Sunbreak. Popular Post Taruta13
Another short update, another game is on the card: This time the spot is Metroidvania or Roguelike, and while I was thinking about DragonFangZ because of Aiha's review, I found that Shantae's latest adventure is also a stackable version platinum, so I decided to revisit the half-genie's adventures in Arena Town... and it was fun, despite the missable collectibles, the Beginner Mode that the Superstar DLC gives made the speedrun easy(her hair attack does a base 100 damage, which one-shots every normal enemy, and she has infinite auto-potions so I could do Squid Saver without having to get a Game Over as long as I did crush her with walls ) and the PS5 version has instant loads so no loading screens means a faster game run or two. And this game is a true Metroidvania, unlike Half-Genie Hero, you explore the entire island. It's also my 100th platinum. 8 hours ago, Cassylvania said: I'll have to use Hogwarts Legacy, since I bought it for myself for my birthday. Too bad because that game could fit almost anywhere I have left. Almost anywhere? Please tell me you wouldn't slot it in "You think you will dislike" because you'll anger-rage a lot of Harry Potter fanboys out there if you say you hate it. Actually bought this game myself because I loved the reviews and I thought it would be cool to have a customizable avatar of yourself exploring Hogwarts(even if it's 100 years before Harry's birth). Also, where would it fit in "Banned/Censored by a country", unless Jo herself blocked it in Britain because it insulted her expanded world. But then, I got mixed messages about her beliefs on transexuality so I wouldn't be surprised if she did boycott this game. Popular Post stuthesheep
Been neglecting my 2023 card slightly thanks to some clean-up, so let's get into it now. Good thing about the early days of this is you can play virtually anything and worry about fitting it into a category later. To that end, and as it may prove to be a slightly trickier one to tick off down the line, I2 is now marked off with Assassin's Creed: Rogue. Now, admittedly the crafting isn't a huge part of things and the game is that straightforward you probably could get through it without bothering. I did craft a few upgrades but ended up just going to a shop and buying most of the skins I needed for the ingame crafting challenges after the main story was done. However, as unnecessary as it turned out to be the mechanics are there - so it counts. Popular Post Squirlruler
Time for another small update from me. Was pretty alright. Not really my thing (in terms of the story). The gameplay was fine and I enjoyed the combat overall. The game was very very pretty though. The landscapes, cut scenes, were done really well. However, maybe I should have saved this square (Gorgeous Vistas) for a Senran game... Hmmm. I am one square from a bingo. "That you have been meaning to get to" I do want Dark Souls for a milestone so this might be next...

JayDeLosDioses
Two more squares for me: With player choices or multiple endings: I was planning to play Mass Effect for that, but I will use Bloodshore for this check in it's place. I've bought a few FMV game in the recent sales, and this one, although being the first I played of the bunch, is quite good. Not as good as Late Shift, but that's still the best FMV game imo. I'm also planning on marking the no jump button square with another FMV game called I Saw Black Clouds. Based on a non-gaming IP: Hogwarts Legacy is great! Well, up until you have to start completing the Merlin Trials, they're quite boring. But other than that I'm just glad that as a Harry Potter fanboy I've got a game on the same level as Jedi Fallen Order as far as non gaming franchises go. I hope we'll get more games in the wizarding world.

A little jaded as my dream vacation in Disneyworld might be impossible due to ticket sales, but life is adapatable and since my mom wants to go to Florida anyways to visit my uncle, I won't pass up the opp to spend a few nights at a hotel. So I might spend the mornings in the Hogwarts park at Universal and evenings playing Legacy. I was going to play the main run of this title at June to commemorate the first Harry Potter book, but that can change. Unfortunately that means that I might just nix the Kingdom Hearts marathon as my initial plan was to go to Disneyworld for the Disney experience. Better start checking prices. Popular Post AgentPenguin08
With Player Operated Vehicles - Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves This was a great game! Growing up with the PS2, the Sly series was one I ended up missing out on. But thanks to the PS Plus Classics I got to go back and experience this game, which was awesome. I think the player operated vehicle sections were the weakest point of the game though, which is ironic haha.

Caju_94
So, I have rolled the credits on other games! New entries Last Game You Acquired: Captain Tsubasa: Rise of the New Champions I completed Tsubasa's story as well as New Hero with Toko Academy with a forward, so I could do a strong forward duo with Hyuga. I really liked the game and looking forward to explore other routes as well as to platinum it. On another note, I would really love Inazuma Eleven games to be on PS4. Glad they released this one. With a # or Punctuation in the title: .hack//G.U: Last Recode I had the Vol.4 to complete and so I finished it. Quite short and gives a nice conclusion to the whole story. It's one of those games I really liked when I had a PS2 but never finished it at the time. DLC Pack or Standalone DLC: Muramasa's Rebirth: Fishy Tales of the Nekomata In an attempt to get some trophies and maybe who knows the platinum, I completed this DLC. Short, not bad, glad to have explored another character and fighting mechanics. Retro Re-release: Ape Escape 2 I really loved Ape Escape 2 and 3 back in my days of PS2. Glad to play AE2 again!
Taruta13
Since I forgot to quote my last list, I'll have to make a new one. Oh well... Update time! B1: Robots or Aliens (LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga [PS4]) B2: Adventure (LEGO Bricktales [PS4]) I1: No jump button (Queen's Quest 4: Sacred Truce) I2: With a # or punctuation in the title (Queen's Quest 3: End of Dawn) N1: With a female protagonist (Crime Secrets: Crimson Lily) N3: Player's Choice (LEGO MARVEL's Avengers [PS4]) N4: Made by an indepedent company (Knightin'+ [PS4]) G1: With an isometric view (Lara Croft GO) G3: Crafting mechanics (LEGO The Hobbit [PS4]) G4: Has no humans (Chicory: A Colorful Tale [PS4]) G5: With minigames in it (LEGO MARVEL Superheroes 2) O1: You think you will dislike (LEGO MARVEL Superheroes) O3: Non-violent (TOEM) O4: Metroidvania or Roguelike (Shantae and the Seven Sirens [PS5]) So the next game to be in the card is a game I was hoping to play with my four-year old niece, only to find out that she doesn't know how to use an analog stick. I earned the first trophy and said 'oh fine' so I spent TWO FULL DAYS getting everything. I had on the easy-mode options but I didn't feel intimidated by the 'bosses' at all and there was no combat outside of those fights. The worst part was finding all the litter because I was not saving it so I didn't know how many I needed. But I eventually got the 100%, and I tried to place the flag Chicory gave me to make her new house but then I got a cutscene where Purrcus(the bug who translates bug language for you) tells you he got married and made babies in Rice Cake's hair. (Rice Cakes was the name I gave for the main character because, well, it's the only thing I can safely snack on without gaining any weight at my age. (Tastes decent - spray some butter-flavored cooking spray on them and a little ranch-flavored popcorn salt, and it's the perfect snack. ) I might plat the PS5 version and this time have my niece mess around with her brush while I play the game. It's a nice calming game, and I can just skip the boss fights and turn on content notifiers so my little nieces won't get scarred for life and get their mom to stick a hypo filled with cocaine in my neck out of rage. (She's a school nurse, so I don't think she has crack but she'll hypo me with something if she finds out that her daughters are having nightmares due to the game. )
