Popular Post Finch_III
My third monthly update. Managing to maintain a schedule of three games a month so far! New games added below. N3 – Player's choice. Did I go for something that I was excited to play? That I'd been waiting for months to come out and couldn't wait to fire up and get started? Nope. I chose Yesterday Origins, a game I bought six years ago and stopped playing after getting bored within an hour. It wasn't any better this time round, but I wanted it off my backlog and this was the perfect excuse. It's a point-and-click adventure that has some okay ideas; however, the graphics are really dated, the voice acting is poor and controls feel clunky. But it does cross off my middle Bingo spot! O4 – The game I meant to play last year is Minute of Islands, which is a short platform puzzle game. I bought it during a PS Store sale and was going to slip it in between some of the lengthier games I was playing last year, but just never managed to get around to it. The animation is really beautiful, and the game has sombre, contemplative atmosphere. Overall though, it's not particularly memorable and the 'puzzles' are incredibly easy – kid game level. It does get an honourable mention for being one of the only games that I didn't need to use a guide at any point to get the platinum. O5 - My platform exclusive choice was Horizon Forbidden West. Really enjoyed this. I haven't played a lot of AAA open-world games in recent years, and much preferred this to the original. It was unfortunate it released at the same time as Elden Ring really – that was always going to be a tough one to compete with. But I enjoyed this more than Ghosts of Tsushima, which I also played recently and thought was hugely over-rated. As for HFW, I thought the graphics were great, the main quest and stories were reasonably interesting, and a decent amount of exploration and points of interest. KunoGuy
First update in a while, been pretty busy with life stuff. No Bingo as of yet but pretty close. Working on Syberia: The World Before for B5, also thinking of using Tchia for I3. To clarify, for favorite genre I picked Platformers, last year I really enjoyed a game called Kaze, the Awesome Pea collection was from the Limited Run physical release, I love my Vita. For game I thought I would dislike: World Quiz. I had started it and then realized it would be a monotonous slog to finish it, so I worked on it little by little, the forum post on the game makes for good reading. So yeah I disliked it in the end. Should have a bingo or two to report on the next update.

Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
I've found my Indie game, which means I'm Fallen Order or Code Vein away from my first Bingo. For the by a indie dev square itself I've played a game called Steel Defier. It's been developed by a brazilian indie studia called Viridino Studios. Wouldn't mind if the game had a few extra levels, but it was great fun.

Popular Post candicejean
Update #2: B1: A Way Out - Played thru with the hubby. Preferred It Takes Two but this one was also fun. (new) B2: Lost In Random - Missed one collectible towards the end of the game and had to replay the entire thing I liked the story but the novelty of the combat wore off pretty quick. (new) I1: Biomutant - Wouldn't really say I disliked it, but wouldn't say I liked it either. Boss fights were fun but the rest was tedious and repetitive. (new) I2: The Turing Test - Fun little puzzle game akin to something like Portal, knocked out the 100% while it was still available on PS+ G1: Cat Quest 2 - Didn't enjoy this one quite as much as Cat Quest, wasn't a fan of the dual characters, but still a pretty good time O5: Pinball Heroes - Super quick plat available on PS+, the high score on Fat Princess was a little bit of a pain but overall had a good time. Popular Post zmastruz
Another 3 Games are finished. My Free to Play game was Astro's Playroom. A cute and fun game with lots of Easter Eggs and references. It was great to be taken back on a nostalgic journey. I would say a must play if you have a PS5. Next game: My Player's Choice game was Back 4 Blood I didn't know what game to put in the middle of my bingo card. So I decided on a game that I've Platinumed this year but isn't yet in a category on my bingo card. So here we are. It was fun playing it for the first time and completing every mission on Nightmare difficulty was cool and also the DLCs with the new difficulty called "No Hope" were great but also challenging as f*. But that's about it. Killing 53,600 zombies for a trophy is way too much IMO. I'd rather play alone than with friends. Also, in fairness, my friends made the game worse for me because I was trying to help them through their nightmare run. ? Next game: My Ultra Rare Platinum game was theHunter: Call of the Wild Oh boi this game is buggy as hell. It is a nice little hunting game but also hard. Running around in the woods and shooting at everything that moves for the first few hours isn't a good idea as I thought at first. Many animals fled before I could even see them. After 15-20 hours I started to get better at the game. Now, after over 120 hours of playtime, I love and hate this game at the same time. If only it wouldn't be so buggy... ?? Popular Post DrBloodmoney
Another entry down! Game: Cities Skylines Remastered Box: "Underplayed (<1000 Owners)" A good (if not hugely different feeling) version of the best City Builder out there! Adds a few things like the map editor, and the ability to unlock 25 Tiles and whatnot, though, given that these are non-trophy things, from a trophy point of view, this version is pretty much the same as the PS4 version... but with a couple of the latest DLC like Plazas and Prominades and Financial Districts not there yet. Still feels basically the same as the PS4 version... but since it's an awesome game, that's not really a knock against it... and the fact that it's hundreds of hours of gaming for free - I can't sniff at that! This one didn't seem to fit many of the boxes I have left - but since it's still rather underplayed (I'm apparently only the 3rd person to S-Rank so far) I'm claiming it for my "Underplayed" spot while I still have the chance! Popular Post Shivora
2 more boxes filled: inFamous Second Son for Featuring a Romance - an evil hookup is a good enough romance for me. inFamous First Light is a sort of Prequel/Expansion to Second Son, featuring one of the main character's backstory - I think it suits the standalone DLC category. As games they age pretty well, but their tones were refreshingly different from today's games, I feel old saying this for a 2014 game. Both are pretty simple platinums, Second Son's Expert difficulty is probably easier than a first playthrough on Normal, since you learned the game already. Playing First Light right after probably helped a lot with the combat arena challenges, I usually don't like this type of content, but these were just the right amount of challenge while not being frustrating. B1 - DLC Pack or Standalone DLC: inFamous First Light B5 - In-Game Weather Effects: Hogwarts Legacy I1 - Non-Human Sidekick: Chorus I3 - Featuring a Romance or Romance Options: inFamous Second Son N2 - You Think Will Dislike: Rocket League G4 - Takes Forever to Beat: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt O4 - Side-Scrolling or Bullet Hell: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night O5 - Play as an Antihero or Bad Guy: Pumpkin Jack Edited April 8, 2023 by Shivora
Popular Post MikkelEhlers
Got two more entries once more, this time two small ones - Superliminal and Effie. With regards to Superliminal - I don't usually like puzzle games. I feel very dumb when I play them and like it's necessary for me to use a guide a lot of the time to continue. Not sure if I just played some hard ones or they are not for me. But I went in with some recommendations from others saying it was amazing, though since I generally don't like puzzle games I was sure I wouldn't like it. But I was really proved wrong - I loved it, and it made me feel very smart the whole way through. Also liked the trophies, though some collectables would have been almost impossible to find without a guide the game is totally doable for me without one. So I put the game on "You Think You Will Dislike" because it defied my expectations so much. Effie was a nice a short indie game. I liked the board surfing mechanics, but not particularly the combat. I'm not sure what I think of this game, I have just had my eyes on it for a long time for some reason, didn't really know what to expect. It was definitely okay, and got it on a sale so that's a plus. According to PSNP there are only 604 game owners. I wouldn't say it's a shame not more people have played it, but I feel like I did get the best out of it that I could with my time with it. I put it on "Underplayed (Owned by < 1000 Players)" I'm not really close to a bingo yet, but I'm getting closer on some of the lines - really looking forward to some of the entries: Summary: Spoiler B1 - Non-Human Sidekick:B2 - Featuring a Romance or Romance Options:B3 - Releasing Your Inner Weeb:B4 - Favorite Genre (Action RPG (Souls-like)): Demon's Souls. Definitely fits this genre - lots of action and RPG mechanics. B5 - You Think You Will Dislike: Superliminal. I usually don't like puzzle games, but this one I like now. I1 - Sci-Fi or Fantasy Themes: Toem. Has fantasy theme.I2 - Based on a Non-Gaming IP: Hogwarts Legacy. Based on the Harry Potter universe.I3 - With Player Operated Vehicles:I4 - Cult Favorite: I5 - Racing or Sports: N1 - With Gorgeous Vistas:N2 - That "Everyone" But You Has Played:N3 - Player's Choice:N4 - Released in Your Birth Month (April): Yooka-Laylee. Was released April 11, 2017. N5 - That You Meant to Play Last Year: G1 - Starts With the First Letter in Your PSNID (M): Minecraft. Does indeed start with M.G2 - Recommended by a PSNP Member:G3 - Strategy, Simulation, or Management:G4 - Underplayed (Owned by < 1000 Players): Effie. Owned by 604 according to PSNP. G5 - Has Snacks: O1 - With Mystery or Detective Themes: Danganronpa 1 • 2 Reload. Literally the game.O2 - Has No Humans: Yoku's Island Express. Has only animals.O3 - Developed in a Foreign Country:O4 - Play as an Antihero or Bad Guy: O5 - Crafting Mechanics: Tearaway Unfolded. The drawing mat. Also an extra question to those who know. Can anyone tell me what "Has snacks" is supposed to mean in this context? Is it like literal snacks you can eat? JayDeLosDioses
New square for me: You Think You Will Dislike - Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Not really a marvel or superhero fan, Spider-Man doesn't count, Spider-Man is great, Well, turns out the game wasn't fun at all. RNG heavy, no cutscenes to skip once you`ve beaten the story once... boring story on top of that. Just glad it's over. Hurricane_Tanya
How long is long enough for ‘Takes Forever to Beat?’ I was thinking of putting Powerwash Simulator up there since some of those jobs seem to take hours, but the guide says only 40 hours to beat
Alternatewarning
Update #3 Ya, it's been awhile...but we're still working on it. Still need some suggestions for December releases Spoiler B-1: HYPE! - God of War: Ragnarok: I really, really liked this game. Did I think it was the best-thing-since-sliced-bread? No. The middle dragged out a lot more than it needed to. I still think the game has serious issues with 'too many buttons' for combat. More than once I messed up what I was trying to do because I couldn't remember if it was or and then whatever follow up button. But the story was good, really, really good. Satisfying. I love seeing how the series has matured. ? G-1: With a # oe Punctuation in the Title - Spider-man: Miles Morales: These recent Spiderman games have been quite fun and this is no exception. In fact, I think I like the combat a little bit more in this one since I can use Venom moves to get out a sticky situations (pun intended). It's also nice to see a biracial main character. And some sign language. It's just, it's cool, feels a lot more like the 'real world'. Not the best game in the world but it's fun, the story is good and I like Miles. Plus swinging around New York is just so fun... I-4: With an Isometric View - Digimon Survive: Digimon seems to swing pretty wildly with video game ideas and I'm here for it. This game is 7/10 visual novel with a horror tinge and 3/10 battle which isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of how you recruit digimon (I prefer the Cyber Sleuth style) but with a guide it's not too bad. I can say, though, that this game is so much darker than I expected and I really like that. While the game is visual novel, the battles are isometric so I believe that counts. Popular Post MikkelEhlers
Already got another entry. It has been on my to do list for so long, and now the platinum is done at least, so I can move on the the "Ultimate" grind. It's Warriors Orochi 4. I usually have a warriors game I work on on the side of playing other games, because they're very nostalgic for me, but not really interesting enough to just all out grind all the time for me. I'm a bit afraid to 100% it because that means I'll need to find a new warriors game. Maybe it should be the Persona 5 Strikers game. I think I've been really clever about this entry, but if anyone thinks it's kinda cheating I will move it, I have other spots where it could fill as well. I put the game on "Featuring a Romance or Romance Options", because it features all the characters from "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Also if you want to get technical, I guess Dynasty Warriors is a spin-off of another Koei game also called Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And Warriors Orochi is a mash-up of Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors, why I argue it features a romance. I realise this maybe is against the idea of playing something where there are actual romance options in a traditional sense, but I play and have played so many RPGs, so it's not like I won't be playing that kind of game, because it's the super genre of my favourite genre Action RPG I'm slowly getting closer to the bingo - really looking forward to specifically playing a cult favourite and a game "everyone" but me has played: Summary: Spoiler B1 - Non-Human Sidekick:B2 - Featuring a Romance or Romance Options: Warriors Orochi 4.
