Popular Post postofficebuddy
Tier 1 1. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, 2.48%) - 100% 2. Disco Elysium (PS5, 1.86%) - 0% Most wanted! 3. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4, 0.71%) - 100% 4. Jump Force (PS4, 2.59%) - 34% 5. N++ (PS4, 1.97%) - 100% Most wanted complete! Shadow of Mordor done. The hunt is my mistress was annoying but not quite as bad as its reputation would suggest. Beat the target score by over a thousand points and with a minute to spare. Now on to Disco Elysium before its bounty expires. On an unrelated note the Super Meat Boy platinum is no longer my rarest trophy which is honestly a bit shocking. I remember a while ago seeing someone predict that it would eventually hit 0.5% and it’s now only 0.1% away. Amazing job to everyone that’s managed to achieve it lately. My new rarest is the Persona 4 Arena plat.
Popular Post VersusCA
Four more done for me: Hitman 2016 MX vs ATV Supercross Encore Enemy Front MX vs ATV All Out These were fun for the most part and it was nice cleaning up some games that I had done the online for earlier this year/last year. I am definitely glad to not have any more MX vs ATV games left to do though - after doing 4 in like a month, I'm ready to not do any more for awhile! I do plan to hit PS3 URs hard later this month so should hopefully have another big update in the coming weeks.
Popular Post HedleyNEUK
Tier 1 Complete Game 5 - Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty 2.75% Saw that one of the 3 playthroughs simply required ensuring to kill so many Mudokons, and not rescuing any, so used that for a blind playthrough. This was as much fun as back in the early PS days, and even with following a guide for the rescue 299 playthrough, managed 3:06 mins on that playthrough, so was easy to shave those minutes off for the speedrun trophy. Will do Oddworld Soulstorm at some point soon i think. Tier 2 update- First game completed BOUNTY- Disco Elysium 3.77% Actually really loved this one! Did a quick skim of the trophy list/guide and saw a horrific number of missable trophies etc, so made a soft mental note of some of the trophy requirements so that i could just do a semi-blind playthrough. The mental note meant i knew to make a load of extra saves to be able to go back and clean up easier once i had enjoyed the game as intended. That said i did have a torrid time with a few trophies, but that didnt take away from the artistry and deep writing the game got. I can see why it won so many awards. Would deffo recommend.

Dead Storm Pirates -> Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection High Stakes was a solid poker Game, also doable with a turbo Controller and the ps+ Cloud. Luckly i got the Royal Flush after around 3500 Hands Pix the cat was kinda annoying, but that was mostly due to the vita and its little buttons
Popular Post Koro249
Tier 3 Complete Assetto Corsa Competizione: This was my first ever experience with a sim racer and I was quite amazed at how clean it felt to drive in this game. I used to be afraid of these types of racers because I heard they are quite hard to learn, however for the purposes of this plat, an intermediate skill level seems to be enough. Progressing through the non-career related trophies first provided a natural way of learning to handle the cars. Overall very satisfying and clean and I am happy that this introduced me to the genre. The first career playthorugh was already long, but practicing the tight time trials in between kept it exciting. I would have rated this even higher in terms of enjoyment, but having to do 3 campaigns with the exact same events including races that take multiple hours to complete was not exactly fun and by the end I just wanted to get it done. Difficulty: 6/10, Enjoyment: 6/10, Playtime: 150h Skullgirls Encore: Looks like this is the tier of firsts. Skullgirls Encore was the first proper fighting game I have done. I have huge respect for these types of games because when I think back to my experiences with fighting games in my childhood, I remember that usually button mashing was the way to go and I had no idea what the hell the games even expected me to do. This led me to choose one that is considered easy, which was a good choice I think, because at the beginning I still got my ass kicked by some of the quite lengthy and technical (for my standards) tutorial combos. Coming from other games, I would have never thought of combining the word 'tutorial' and 'hard' but I guess for fighting games it makes sense. The first time trying I even got frustrated and quit for a while. I think it was mainly because I failed to understand that some moves require precise timing. When I came back, I pulled myself together and after realizing what I was doing wrong, it immediately clicked and the rest of the tutorials were quite simple to complete after that. After completing the tutorials I can say that I gained a better understanding of what moves to use when in a fighting game (pulling them off in a real battle is a different story still...), which I was not expecting. I thank Skullgirls for that, since I will now certainly try another, more difficult one in the future - perhaps 2nd Encore. Finally I should mention that I really dig the artstyle and music of this game. Difficulty: 4/10, Enjoyment: 7/10, Playtime: 8h MX vs ATV Legends: Completed the MX vs ATV series with this one. The game looks good and some of the scenic tracks were quite exciting to explore. However this initial excitement quickly wears off and you are left with a boring grind of endless tracks against really easy AI. Difficulty: 2/10, Enjoyment: 4/10, Playtime: 20h Path of Exile: This game is huge. Whatever I write here won't do it justice if I want to keep it brief, so I will spare you with the details. One of the best games I have ever played. In my opinion Path of Exile does everything right. The endgame is so rich and exciting and the possibilities are endless. Deeply understanding all the systems is complex and rewarding to learn (literally, as in you will know how to progressively earn more currency as your knowledge expands). If you have an affinity for numbers and min-maxing, this is the game for you. I am very excited for PoE 2. Difficulty: 6/10, Enjoyment: 10/10, Playtime: 110h Alien: Fireteam Elite: @Mori and @Exhuman1988 were my fireteam. This game was always on our minds, because it's 3-player coop and we heard that it's actually supposed to be quite challenging. So when it came to PS+ we finally went for it. It looks good and the different classes are fun to play, weapons and abilities feel good to use. Unfortunately, the plat is quite boring as a long grind is required to max out everything and you have to play through the story once for each difficulty. Insane difficulty was just a matter of finding the right tunnel to camp in and let all the aliens come towards you. So for the most part, it was not really all that hard. Difficulty: 5/10, Enjoyment: 5/10, Playtime: 60h
Popular Post HedleyNEUK
Tier 2 update- Second game completed Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight 0.61% Free to play (if you can resist temptation) candy crush style puzzle game. I enjoyed it in parts, and found it really difficult in parts too. Guide says 1/10 which is based on the ability to buy your way through, but id say its more 6/10 if you stick to it as free to play. 280 main game levels, plus 90 DLC levels, and having to play 50 multiplayers games means it will take quite some time to complete with my PS app showing 82 hours for me. It was a huge time sink so i wouldn't recommend it from a trophy perspective, but was a decent chill game to play on the backbone whilst watching TV with the Mrs.

It’s been awhile since my last update, but I’ve finished Tier 2 and nabbed a couple more bounties. #390 - Axiom Verge 2 I’ve had this game in the backlog since it came to PS+ a couple years back. Last time I’d looked at it, I didn’t have a PS5 yet. I realized a couple weeks back that the PS5 version actually has some UR trophies so I decided to make some room for this one into my list. Using Optinooby’s brilliant speed run guides I made very quick work of this one and I’m glad for it because in all honesty it really didn’t stand out or resonate with me too much. It had a few unique features but mostly it felt bland, particularly the combat. I’ve played much better metroidvanias since I became fond of the genre a few years ago, but hey, another PS+ game from the backlog done & dusted! #391 - Red Faction Red Faction is a classic FPS game and a goofy dystopian sci-fi from the PS2 era and one that I never had a chance to play. The game is set on Mars, and you play as Parker, a “mine scum” labourer slaving away to the evil Ultor Mining Corporation. The opening scene had me cracking up big time as you watch a miner and guard exchange some nasty words and start shoving each other. Weapons are pulled, shots are fired, and that’s it… the revolution begins! It’s an old game, the ability to remap the controls made it easy to adjust and approach it like a modern FPS, and I found it to be a really enjoyable time once I got into it. The ability to manually save at will made it really easy to push through the hardest spots. The only negative is that the difficulty trophies don’t stack so you have the play through the game 4 times. #392 - Red Faction 2 I got both Red Faction 1 & 2 on sale together for less than $2 a piece and since they are both on the Most Wanted list I decided to play them back to back. Unfortunately Red Faction 2 is pretty awful as far as sequels go. It’s still fun enough as the action ramps up heavily in this game, but it feels almost like it belongs to an entirely different franchise. For one, the actual “Red Faction” revolutionary group is a total afterthought in this game. You cross paths with them a couple times, but the game mainly revolves around a horribly over-the-top crew of walking action cliches. Other than that I hardly knew what was going on, because I really didn’t give a shit. I was just there to shoot and blow stuff up and pop some trophies, and mercilessly the in-game cheats made the unstackable difficulty trophies a non issue with this one. ===== In other news… I’ve got a few games in the pipeline right now, including many non-UR, but my next entries for this URC event will almost certainly be Moto Racer 4 and Ziggurat. After that my list is likely to change a bit as I’m not entirely decided. I am pretty set on buying Dead Space 3 next time I get paid though as I’ve been wanting to finish that trilogy for quite awhile. I’ve also got my eye on picking up Baldur’s Gate III as I’ve heard incredible things about it and it also happens to be on the MW list. I’ve been getting that RPG itch again lately and think this would be an awesome game to kick off the summer. Finally, I’ve started chipping away at Diablo 2 and am halfway through Hell with my first character, a Barbarian. Once that’s done I plan to switch to offline HC for the rest of the journey. I’m not sure if I’ll finish this one by the end of the year but we’ll see. I did recently pick up XCom2 and it’s DLCs for very cheap so I might shift gears towards chasing that 50 point bounty this summer. I’m having a lot of fun with this event again this year and really enjoy reading all your progress updates. Keep up the good work everyone. 🙂

Popular Post Static_Rook
Second game for Tier 1 done! Metrico (US, Vita) has 6 UR trophies and a 3.82% completion percentage as of today 6/11/2024. I, like a lot of others, got it as a free PS Plus game 10 years ago, played it for like a minute, and then promptly forgot about it. Well, no more! I added it as part of my summer challenge and finally knocked it out over the last couple of days. The trophies, except for one, are more of the annoying kind rather than straight up challenging. There are only 6 levels, and you have to beat each one with certain restrictions for trophies, do a little cleanup, and then go through and grab the collectibles. Nothing too bad, except the trophy for beating the first stage in 42 jumps or less. I tried it when I first started playing it again and couldn't do it. So I did all the other stages, then came back to the first and was finally able to get it once I was more comfortable with the game. Even with the guide it's tough to pull off, mainly because of two puzzles that require some precise timing. If you miss, then it's back to the start of the level to try again. Took about 10 tries with the PS Trophies guide, but I finally got it. Then the collectibles were easy enough with the same guide. Overall, a relatively easy Ultra Rare for a decent game that doesn't run great on the old Vita. But after 10 years, I'm free! No interest in trying to do Metrico+ even though they made the trophy for the first level easier by changing it to 43 jumps or less. Next up, Lone Survivor on Vita. Then probably Quake on PS5, but that one's not locked in yet. We'll see. Tier 1 - 1. Eldest Souls (PS5) 2.51% 6/3/2024 2. Metrico (Vita) 3.62% 6/11/2024

Popular Post FreshFromThaDeli
On 3/28/2024 at 7:18 PM, FreshFromThaDeli said: Making a quick swap while it's still UR In: FF7 Rebirth Out: FIFA 11 Assassin's Creed III (PS3) Dark Awake: The King Has no Name FF7 Rebirth Them's Fightin' Herds (PS5) (Most Wanted List) Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom (Vita) Assassin's Creed III (PS3) Dark Awake: The King Has no Name Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Them's Fightin' Herds (PS5) (Most Wanted List) Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom (Vita) At long last, I have completed this behemoth of a game. I have spent the better part of 3+months to get the Platinum. It is one of the longest games I played to get the Platinum trophy. In fact, it is the second longest single player game I have played for the Platinum behind Red Dead Redemption 2 clocking in at 200 hours 👀 A completely unintentional exact 200 hour mark on this game caps off my long and arduous journey completing this game This is a long grindfest of a game that has difficult trophies tied to the endgame. It can be argued that the real difficulty of this game is finding the perseverance to continue grinding to 100% the open world activities, mini games, side quests and the VR missions. I don't want to to make out I hate this game but trophy hunting it is draining and feels like a slog and gets very tedious and repetitive. I quite enjoyed this game for the most part but by the time I had completed all the open world activities, I was exhausted and I still had the hard mode playthrough and the VR missions left to do. I left the VR missions to last after doing the hard mode playthrough to get as many stat upgrades from completing the 14 chapters on hard. The VR missions, more precisely the Brutal and Legendary bouts, are a gauntlet of set bosses and enemies to fight. It's in particular two very difficult bouts 'Rulers of the Outer Worlds' & 'Bonds of Friendship' that require you to beat 10 bosses in a row without dying. If you die, you restart the run and an optimal run with perfectly timed staggers into level 3 magic casts can take 12-13 minutes. It's incredibly demoralising to lose at the 9th boss Bahamut or especially the 10th boss Odin. It's Bahamut that is the gatekeeper to 'Bonds of Friendship'. I can't tell you how many times I got wiped after he done his particle absorb into overpowered attacks that near enough OHKO me. 'Rulers of the Outer Worlds' was made easier thanks to spamming Yuffie and her Brumal form to fain fast ATB for Aerith and Barrett. Her main role is just to build ATB for the two aforementioned characters so Barrett can tank hits and cast armour on the team whereas Aerith is the spellcaster with her magic power coupled with Arcane Ward that essentially double casts every attack of hers. This was quite honestly the most fun and engaging battle strategy I employed in all 200 hours of playing the game, it's such a shame it was right at the end in a difficulty spike endgame area where RNG can still fuck you over and get you killed. Preparing for this by spending 175 hours on the main game was still nowhere near enough. I had to use highly optimised materia builds found on YouTube. I mainly used @Optinoobyguides which were excellent, very well explained and made it easy to follow along. I recommend using his guides for all the VR battles to have as much advantage as possible going into the fights. A lot of grinding to get the materia all to level 3 is required otherwise you can just forget about it. After spending 3+ months just playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, I'm glad it's over. I enjoyed the ride but I honestly feel so burned out from trophy hunting now and just fancy playing a chill single player game (like Ghost of Tsushima) and not worry about trophies for a bit.
Popular Post VersusCA
Three more for me, all from the PS+ Premium collection - I only have it for the next couple months so wanted to make the most of it! Jimmie Johnson Anything With an Engine (Digital Stack) Deadliest Warrior: Legends Bellator MMA All three of these are super fast completions and can be boosted with just two consoles, meaning if you have a PS4 and a PS5 you can self-boost using streaming. Great games for this event! I will also declare Cricket 24 (PS5) while I'm here as I'm not sure it will stay UR.
