There is an Android app I found out about on Reddit. Search Lego Dimensions tag editor. With the app and some NFC tags purchased off Amazon, you can create any vehicle or mini figs you need to complete the game. That's how I cleaned up the 100% a couple years back.

 

Also, so jealous you have Arkham Origins MP done. I went to do it last year and joined a session the day after it stopped working. Still 86% isn't horrendous.

Time for an end of month update! I joined late, so I haven't even been at it a week, but I've already gone the wrong direction lol. The two games I've added though should be pretty quick, so they'll get knocked out sometime next month. (There were a couple other games added to my profile, but I didn't pop any trophies, so they don't count against me Just booted em up for stars campaign things that were ending.)

 

I have done some good things though. Finished up Lost Words, got my co-op partner for Cat Quest II to finally go back to play that some more, making steady progress with Shipbreaker, and have gone back to play through Dragon Quest Builders. It'd been years since I played DQB and I hadn't made it very far into the story, so I decided to start over so I'd know what was going on. I'm caught up to the point where I'm earning new trophies though, and plan to stick with that one through the end.

Got off to a solid start in January. I've mostly been working on chipping away at the AC Valhalla DLC and the Borderlands 3 DLC.

 

2 accomplishments stood out for me this past month. I was very happy to get the platinum in Call Of Duty WWII, all thanks to the great boosting group I had for the hardcore easter egg. I also finally went back and got the last trophy in Limbo. I was 1 trophy (the 5 or less death run) away for over 6 years, so it was real nice seeing 100 percent at last.

This is my January update. First time my percentage has ever been over 50%. I have tried to be disciplined in not starting new games, but i think February might see my percentage drop for that very reason.

 

Games this month.

 

Dredge (0 -> 60%). This is the only new game I started. Finished the story and now doing clean up. I like the art style. Clean up is a bit of a drag, but will persist with it to score the platinum.

 

BG3 (11 -> 16%). I went back to this game and am enjoying it so much more. I played when it first came out, and struggled with it. After watching some build guides on youtube, am thoroughly enjoying this new playthrough. I now see what the fuss was all about.

 

God of War (2018) (8 -> 57%).

Amazing game. Can't believe i didn't give it a shot until starting it in Dec 22. Finished the story and now doing the clean up. The clean up is very enjoyable. Such a great game. Encourage anyone to play it who has not experienced it yet.

 

Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster (26 -> 100%)

My first final fantasy. The game structure and gameplay is incredible considering how old this game is - must have been groundbreaking when it originally came out. I enjoyed the game, but did not necessarily love it. The clean up at the end with the hidden summons was OK. A few popped very early, and the longest grind i had for one was probably 45 mins. So not too bad.

dragonball xenoverse 2 is at 96% just 3 brons trophies left i have the gold trophie i am only gonna get stronger i am proud of it though cause it was a real pain to unlock 100% the tokipedia must be unlocked to have the nickname infinity i can almost move that game aside wich i can do a next game outside of collecting platinum trophies i find it important now to do the dlcs so i can lock my games away for good its going in the right direction maybe next marvel spiderman new game+and dlcs then i am back on track to unlock platinum trophies and the base game and dlc from assasins creed syndicate is next after marvel spiderman

Update#4

 

Judgement (PS4) (20% --> 31%):

I just finished the main story and I absolutely loved it! The mystery and character motivations were very thought out and there were many great surprises throughout. Now its onto the real meat of the platinum experience. I'm going to be taking it bit by bit to not get burned out by the sheer number of things that are left to do. I'll start simple with the side cases and some of the easier challenges to complete before working my way up to the harder ones.

 

 

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (68% --> 68%)

I haven't made any trophy progress this week but I have been grinding away at each stage until I have them perfect. I have been going in order and am up to the dreaded polar bear level. So far I have 21/38 N Sanely Perfect relics and 21/38 platinum time trial relics relics. Right now I'm definitely struggling more with the platinum time trial relics and each level is taking a lot longer than I would like. I haven't lost motivation yet and I'm going to keep grinding away until the plat is trophy #9000 for me.

I spent most of this past week making progress in Omega Quintet, and am working my way through the main story on the hardest difficulty (while doing any side quests and affection events along the way) so that I can get the true ending, and be able to get the plat in a single playthrough. I'm only on Chapter 3 of 9, so I won't comment much on the game right now, since I still have a ton to do. All I will say is that it's basically a post-apocalyptic narrative that incorporates idol tropes, and is very similar to the Symphogear anime/manga at this point. Things may change though. I'll have to see how the rest of the story pans out.

 

As a mini-break from Omega Quintet, I finished Word Wheel by POWGI (a simple word-based puzzle game), and did the arcade runs for Toro, Sackboy, and Fat Princess in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. I was lucky enough to get the online trophies in Playstation All-Stars before the servers shut down in January 2019. So, I only have to finish the arcade runs (story mode) for 15 characters from the roster. And, given that each run takes about 30 minutes, it can easily be played in bite-sized chunks. Plus, I was feeling a bit nostalgic for the Super Smash Bros. Melee-esque gameplay, to be perfectly honest.

 

My goal for this week is to continue making progress in Omega Quintet, while switching to shorter games as needed - which I may or may not finish. We'll see.

Just a small update as it was not a super productive week in terms of numbers. I started a new game so my stats have back tracked but it's totally worth it to be playing:

Weekly Update Time

Finally done with Fireteam Elite. I enjoyed the game overall, but it was jsut about starting to overstay its welcome.

Decided to cross off the director mode trophies for GTA5 this week, bfore they (presumably) go unobtainable later this month. 

Most likely going to try and cross off the remaining trophies for the original heists at some point in the future, if I can find a team.

Doosday heist trophies, I may attempt at some point, but that will likely be later on in the year.

After the long grind of Fireteam Elite, decied I wanted something short and sweet, so went for Enigmatis 2, going to do the 3rd one next.

Last Week

Secret of Mana 3% -> 40%

 

 

Spent the past week battling waves of both monsters and nostalgia in Secret of Mana. Not too many problems difficulty-wise, but oh, the grind. Dreadful. In order to platinum the game it requires several rare item drops that can only be found by killing specific enemies and while the killing isn't a problem I've clearly irritated the RNG gods at some point. The worst item took well over four hours to finally drop for me. Not cool. Luckily it's been an interesting week in sport for NE Scotland, so I've had plenty of podcasts to listen to while grinding - although it has reminded how much I hate most podcasts in general! Still, the upside of killing all these monsters for absolutely no rare drops is I've spent the last part of the game ridiculously overpowered, so progress has become a bit of a cakewalk - just a shame you can't boost your luck along with your weapons and magic.

 

About to enter the endgame now, so a plat should be incoming soon, right? Well, unfortunately for another trophy you need to kill every monster in the game, and I missed a couple of missable ones early game that I didn't realise were one-time-only appearances and missable - and with no NG+ or progress carry-over it'll be right back to the start for another full playthrough. I would take a break between them but it would probably end up being another 25 years before I play it again! Still, the items trophies should be taken care of in the current playthrough - so that'll cut down on the grinding second time around considerably. I also have to level my weapons to max, but that can wait until Playthrough #2 since I need to get them into my 'catalogue' - which I can't finish off thanks to said early-game missable dudes, so that'll be even more farming. At least I don't have to do both lots of hitting and hoping twice.

Great week in terms of percentage increases. Finished off two games and the numbers look great since I haven't started my next game yet.

 

What I've Been Playing

 

 Among Us VR (PSVR2) 0% --> 46%x2 weeks --> 58%x3 weeks --> 70%

 

Finally made some trophy progress here. Got the trophy for 25 wins as the imposter and for reaching 50 kills. The grind continues. The current progress on the grind is now: 67/100 crewmate wins & 50/150 imposter kills.

Finished off the story with my son this week, then went back and cleaned up the collectibles. The game was fine. Not good, not terrible (except for the writing and voice acting). Pretty solid meh. But my son thought it was great, and that's why I played it. The DLC on the other hand tested my ability to keep gamer rage at bay. The DLC has 5 new levels, but with the difficulty increased from the base game significantly. It includes some time trials, the levels are longer, the checkpoints are much farther apart, and you are asked to do a lot precisely and quickly. On its face, I'm fine with that. I have no problem with a game asking me to take its mechanics and execute them well. (and to be clear, these levels by themselves aren't crazy hard, but do have some decent challenges to them). My problem is that the game also has a decent amount of jankyness about it. I can't tell you how many times I would get through a tricky part only to have the camera decide it was suddenly going to swing wildly in a different direction and cause me to die. Or when jumping to a ledge that needed to be grabbed the game would suddenly decide that the ledge was not grab-able, or have me clip right through the terrain instead and fall to my death. Again the levels by themselves aren't overly hard. But with the constant deaths caused by the game instead of my incompetence it really got old fast. If the game didn't have those issues I probably would have thought the increased challenges were enjoyable. Luckily the DLC only has 5 levels (9 total if you count the hard mode variants of the first 4 levels.) and it only took me an afternoon to complete it. It's been a long time since I've found myself go beyond just being ambivalent about a game and actively disliking it, but this DLC had me muttering "I hate this game" to myself under my breath almost the whole way through.

 

 Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) 0% --> 65% --> 100% Plat #150!

 

I got through the speedrun as planned quite painlessly. (I had several hours to spare.) Then finished off the time trials. I only had to replay the game one time after that to max out my health and stamina. Then I finished off the game by climbing up to the secret garden, and running across the long bridge to reach the entrance gate. After that, shiny plat #150 was mine! I'm glad I was able to get this game that I have loved since the PS2 end up on a milestone. I enjoyed the platinum experience for this one and really felt like the trophy list makes you obtain mastery over all of the encounters by the time you are done. I love this game. The visuals are beautiful, the sound design is perfect. It's one of the few games I love to just run around in not necessarily doing anything, but just existing in the world and seeing the sights. I love all of the different colossi and the unique puzzle each of them presents to figure out how to defeat them. I love that the first time I faced some of the colossi it could take nearly and hour until I figured it out and defeated them, but that in later runs of the game I could consistently defeat them in under 3 minutes. I find that dynamic in a game very satisfying.  I do understand the people that bounce off of this game, though, usually citing the controls as what bothers them. The controls can be unconventional and take some getting used to. (especially the jump button - you jump when you release the button, not when you press it) Also the fact that when you are climbing the colossi and they shake around it can feel like you've lost control of your character. I get that doesn't work for some people. But for me, taken in context that they were trying to make you feel small and on the edge of out of control while you are attacking these massive colossi, it does works. Anyways, great game, and I'm glad I had a reason to play it again after all these years.

Week 5 Update (1/29-2/4)

 

Madden NFL 13 (Vita) (0% --> 100%)

I got this game a while back at one of my local game stores, but I didn't actually play it until now. I'm glad the platinum for the vita version is still obtainable. That being said, this game is not all that pleasant to play on Vita, at least in my opinion. The platinum is really easy though if you use the trophy guide on here.

I know I said I was going to play Sly or Jak II this week, but I didn't want to risk starting something and stopping in the middle once Persona 3 Reload showed up. It wasn't until about Thursday this week that I found out my copy wasn't going to be here until sometime early this week (thanks Amazon!), and at that point there wasn't a whole lot of time to start a new game anyway. Besides Madden 13 I pretty much just spent this week running races in Gran Turismo 7. I already have that platinum, but it's one of those games I like going back to just to have some fun. Anyway, Amazon says my copy of Persona 3 Reload should be here today, and as soon as it gets here I'm going to be focusing on that.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chonicles (57% -> 57%):

No change here. The bonus dungeons are quite hard and I have trouble clearing them by myself. I really need a few specific dungeons to get a few pieces of gear crafted. Haven't been able to find a group either.

 

Call of Duty: Black Ops (60% -> 67%):

Finished up all the story based trophies and just have the DLC left. Need to practice... Also, have a session to get In The Money. Need 6 people so if you are waiting for non-shitty session members, here's your chance

 

Mirror's Edge (36% -> 43%):

Finished the bag collectible trophy. Need to spend more time in this for Hard mode and then speed runs.

 

Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (27% -> 30%):

Have like.. 10? maybe floors left in the last story dungeon. Not played much, a few floors a day, maybe.

 

Death's Door (0% -> 29%):

Started this game for a discord server challenge. Man, I am LOVING this game. I am just before the last dungeon area and going to start doing a lot of clean up. But man. This Zelda-like game is right up my alley. I am doing the PS5 version, I might do PS4 right after.

 

So a lot of my time has been spent in Genshin Impact, and man, am I bad at that game lol. I did get the Electro chick during the last wish cycle, so now I need to get through the story to unlock her area so I can upgrade her and make a team based around her.

Started two new games this week, but made enough progress to negate the hit to my completion %. Brotato is a fun Survivor-style game, and Granblue Fantasy Relink has actually eaten into my Infinite Wealth time more than I thought it would. Not that the games are similar, but I thought I'd be prioritizing IW and fitting in some Relink around it. Turns out I'm doing the opposite. Very fun ARPG with some Monster Hunter-ish boss fights. Almost done with the story, then the real grind begins. I also finished up Yoku's Island Express. Getting the last of the collectibles was slightly annoying, but overall it was a really fun game. Highly recommended, especially when it's on sale for like four bucks. 

 

Plans for this week are to keep playing Relink, and also start on the GTA V story so I can get it done before the 20th and get those Editor trophies.

Bad week last week trophy wise, but still some progress. 

 

Grand Theft Auto V PS4 | 60/78 | 69% 

I managed to finish the one trophy from the Editor DLC last time around. So I figured I'd continue playing for a bit. I was pretty much at the end of the campaign when disaster struck. 

Beeping noise and TV went black... Turned the PS5 back on and restarted GTAV to find out my savefile got corrupted. The one backup I have doesn't want to load either so I didn't know what to do. It resulted in me deleting the game off my system having had enough of it. I'll get back to it in a couple years 😛

 

Spyro the Dragon PS4 | 37/37 | 100%  

After the GTA disaster, I didn't feel like playing anything. I was thinking about getting back into Fallout 3 but changed my mind and decided to go for Spyro. 

Finished the game in about a day spread over two days. Pretty easy game and it helped me take my mind off GTA V. I never was a huge fan of the series but still had some fun playing it. After finishing my percentage was 80.74% But I pretty much decided to play another new game dropping it down again.

 

Sniper Elite V2  PS4 | 17/48 | 100%

That other new game was Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. I played the original on PS3 about 10 years ago. Running the campaign with a buddy who never played it.

Having fun so far running on Cadet difficulty and collecting the Gold bars and Wine bottles. Most likely our first run will be finished today or tomorrow and then we run again on Sniper Elite difficulty.
