Popular Post FFATMA
#73 - Horizon Forbidden West PS5 version. Loved every minute of this game! I'm now working on the PS4 version, but man are loading times horrible after playing the PS5 version! Have to get it done before March 25th when Tiny Tina's Wonderlands comes out!

Popular Post Cmndr_Yoshi
Hey, fellow gamers! Nice to see all your progress. After the sometimes frustrating Shenmue trilogy playthrough, I decided a course change was in order, so I went with a couple Metroidvania-"lites". First up... Platinum # - 157 Rarity - 46.31% This was a pleasant game to play. It wasn't exciting, and the general "nature-inspired" theme has certainly been done before, but it was very visually appealing and had a generally decent Metroidvania style to it. As a spirit-controlled fox, you are tasked with navigating the forest in each of the four seasons. Each change of season causes certain features of the environment to change, allowing you access to previously unreachable locations. Easy and short, but still enough content to warrant a purchase if you're into these kinds of games and find it on sale. Platinum # - 158 Rarity - 12.23% More of a true Metroidvania than Seasons After Fall, Forma.8 is a satisfying trip through an eerie alien world. You control a small, spheroid robot as you navigate the sometimes tight, other times wide-open areas while utilizing power-ups and abilities you gather along the way. The combat in the game can be a bit troublesome at first, but once you've gotten a hang of the physics, this one really turns out to be a great Metroidvania entry. Plenty of secrets and hidden areas make the trophies in this game quite enjoyable. It's been around a while, so if you haven't played it and want some Metroidvania fun, give it a shot. Left Alive Platinum # - 159 Rarity - 2.90% Well, this is definitely not a Metroidvania, even though you'll see all of the locales in the game MANY times over. Left Alive is an odd entry into the Front Mission series. In those games, you typically control a... Caution: the enemy is approaching ...ahem...you typically control a gigantic mech and engage is fun mech combat. Here? Probably about 2.5% of the game is controlling the mech. No, this game is all about stealth. Still sounds fun? Well, if you consider... Caution: the enemy is approaching ...stop!!... Anyway, if you consider bad controls, ugly environments, and the worst AI since the survivors in Dead Rising as fun, then I suppose you'll have some fun here. But in all honesty, there's just not really anything here that's... Caution: the enemy is approaching .............in case you're wondering, that wonderful statement is repeated over...and over...and over...and over again whenever...you guessed it...an enemy is nearby. And as far as I can tell, you can't turn it off. So there's that... Caution: the enemy is approaching ...oh forget it. Moving on... Platinum # - 160 Rarity - 40.50% Ah! That's better. Far Cry 3 is still, in my opinion, the best one of the series. It was fun returning to the islands again, though I will say, the horizontal camera movement framerate was jarring at first. I was quite a bit surprised that it was as bad as it is in this version. Still, after a few hours of gaming, I stopped noticing it...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Platinum # - 161 Rarity - 14.82% It's been a while since I've played a JRPG. And though Ni No Kuni has been out for quite a while, I had never gotten around to playing it until this last week...and I wish I had played it sooner! This is an outstanding game: a feast for both the eyes and, especially, the ears. Wow, the music in this game is phenomenal! The only complaint I really have is that the post-game grind, especially searching for alchemy ingredients, is very RNG-heavy, which lead to some frustratingly-boring wrap-up hours. I don't mind busy work for RPG grinds...I just hate when they're heavily based on luck. Anyhow, that minor issue is nothing when factored in to the whole experience. If you're looking for a fun JRPG and haven't gotten around to playing Ni No Kuni, give this one a go. I think it'll be well worth it. That's it for now. Going to do a couple palette cleansers, then probably move into World of Final Fantasy. Happy gaming all! Popular Post JoaLoft
#280 - Grand Theft Auto V (PS5) Quick summary: everyone already owns GTA V, people love it, people want GTA VI instead, people will still buy this next-gen version anyway because it's GTA. Simple autopop platinum: just import your save on PS5, start up the story mode, and then jump into GTA Online with your existing character, and watch them all pop. Because this is a super easy autopop platinum trophy, there's no "Most Frustrating Trophy" this time around.
Popular Post MidnightDragon
#77 My Universe-Cooking Star Restaurant This game is like if Cooking Mama was at a restaurant, though you don't have an angry Mama with fiery eyes if you mess up. It's fun, though a bit repetitive, but these types of games are. Still, there's enough for it to not get completely boring. The trophy list is very straightforward. Get it on sale like I did, but still worth a spin.
Popular Post Quink666
Shadow Warrior 3 My Precious! 21,79% Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophies: / Time: 8 Hours Fun FPS with a great sense of humor. It's currently included with PSNow, so if you are a member you should really snag this game while it's still available. Easy trophy list and and easy game, but a tonne of fun. Chicken Police The Chicken Police 44,96% Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophies: / Time: 3 Hours This is the 2nd game i got through PSNow. A really fun point and click adventure. Some annoying collectibles though, but there are great guides online and even a great platinum walkthrough here on PSNP. If not following a guide this game will probably be a nightmare to platinum. Tormented Souls Tormented Souls 21,16% Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophies: / Time: 5 Hours Fun RE clone with a very RE type trophy list. Speedrun the game, no saves, no heals etc. Thankfully there is a debug mode which i used after my first playthrough. Didn't want to go through the hazzle of not saving the game and such. This also have to be the very first game where i encoutered full frontal female nudity. I've seen dudes (The Order 1886 comes to mind) in games but never a female. Kinda caught me off guard. For anyone interested you just have to play the game for literally 3 minutes Ghostrunner GR Project Complete 12,07% Fun: / Difficulty: / Trophies: / Time: 7 Hours Damn this game was amazing. The combat is punishing at first but once you get the hang of it and a few upgrades it becomes far easier. There is also assist mode to help, it gives you an extra life and can even slow the game down. It's currently free for PS+ members and i highly recommend that you snag this game now while you can. Truly an amazing game. Edited March 15, 2022 by Quink666

Popular Post Viper
#270 Horizon: Forbidden West (PS5) All Trophies Obtained Another fantastic experience. Wow...just, Wow. To take what worked so well in the first game and up the anty in nearly every area, from character development to story to graphics, Guerrilla really outdid themselves here. Now there's a lot of positives to talk about...but I have to highlight the ONE glaring negative I have about THIS game. It's the one area where I feel like Guerilla fucked up. The combat. Now I replayed Zero Dawn right before this game came out in order to finally get the Ultra Hard/NG+ trophies I never got, so the combat was fresh in my mind when this game arrived. The one big thing they changed they I feel ruins the combat here...is that Aloy has no iFrames. In the first game, she had a tiny window of Invincibility when she rolled out of the way (you main line of defense), not in this game...and it leaves you getting hit at times where you shouldn't...when I clearly roll out of the way and still take damage, you did something wrong. Not to mention, the machines in this game are far more aggressive, and have longer attack patterns...so not only do you not have the iFrames you need, but they also created a penalty for Aloy rolling too much (if you roll 3 times she had a slight stagger animation), and in this game, every second in combat counts. You eventually get to a point where you just have to accept that you're going to get hit and most battles are going to see you having to heal..sometimes more than once. I never really came away feeling like I mastered the combat because it's almost like you can't. However, the positives to combat, that I like is there's more emphasis on using different weapons, using elements, and tearing off parts. Although one of my favorite weapons from the game was nerfed in this one, the Ropecaster. You have to hold the trigger down in order to get it through most armors, which usually means the machines breaks free before you fully tack it down (in the first game you could just rapid fire to bring them down). So I didn't use it much. Spike Throwers are OP, they'll get your through the Arena Challenges and they even take a chunk of health off of boss fights, Blast Slings are also a huge help. One new weapon, I already forgot it's name shoots discs out, and you could catch them as they returned, and if you caught the disc three times it would do double damage on it's next attack...it's a cool weapon in theory, but the disc is hard to track and you're under attack the whole time, it's the last thing you want to worry about. Everything else about the game is a W though. The game is tremendously gorgeous, even in Performance Mode (1800p/60FPS) where a lot of sources were acting like it looked bad, I have no idea what they were talking about. The only time the game looked back to me was during Sun rise, when everything was coated in pure Orange light. With HDR it sapped a lot of detail. The story is a little slow at first, but it ramps up a lot. It definitely takes the series into a more sci-fi heavy route...which I don't mind. Really looking forward to what Horizon 3 brings as it got pretty crazy there at the end. Overall, poor combat aside...it was a hell of a game and another top notch title on Sony's belt. I'm intrigued to see where the story is going, and I'll be back if we get some DLC.
Popular Post No longer here
#149 - Sifu Difficulty: 5.5/10 Fun: 9/10 Time: 15-20 Hours PSNP Rarity: 22.76% PSN Rarity: 3.6% This indie game brought a lot of fun as opposed to some AAA games given to us in recent years. Combat is fun and has a learning curve. Once learned though, it becomes a high octane and satisfying experience! I pretty much played the game nonstop for a weekend and was sad once I popped the platinum. Game reminds me of Sekiro in many ways, even though it’s supposed to be a way better version of “Absolver” (never played it). Going for the platinum was rewarding as well, learning the bosses and nearly perfecting them made it worthwhile (especially the final boss). Wish we had more games with this much intensity and skill drive! fully recommend for “beat ‘em up” fans and indie lovers!

Popular Post Fleks_Mhteam
Elden Ring Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 5/10 Time played: 100 hours Is it a good game? Yes. Is it a masterpiece? Absolutely not. At least not in my opinion. Elden Ring is like a plate with a pound of spaghetti, even though it is too much you continue eating and towards the end you start feeling really sick. And while I still liked what I played it is without a doubt my least favorite from software title. After finishing I felt drained. I always liked the challenge to go into a souls game and experiment around with the different possibilities to beat the game without any coop help. Elden Ring felt different, I found the boss design incredibly bad and gimmicky from a gameplay perspective, compared to other souls titles it is much more relying on: "with what bs build can I come up next to minimize the frustration" than on skill. I know I am not the only one who felt that way and I am honestly still baffled by the 10/10 rain this game got in the reviews.

ZachBoardyHD
Platinum 123: Shadow Man: Remastered This was a big suprise of a game, when I found out they were remastering the game, my first thought was really? Iv'e only played the PS1 version and thought they were the same for all consoles but no, this remaster was from a different console. I was wrong ? i'm glad I gave the remaster a go because I ended up enjoying this game a lot. The story was a little meh except *spoiler* the part at the very end where it turns out your brother and Nettie was actually Legion. The levels themselves, even though they are mostly the same apart from the psychopatic seriel killers (boss stages) I enjoyed all of them with the maze like layout. However, I thought the game had way too many 'shortcuts' as at times when first playing the level, you could get lost as everything looked the same. Seeing the game is part collectathon, The main ones 'Dark souls' were easy to find but those 'Cadeaux' was a pain as when i cleaned up the levels, I would mostly be missing 1 Cadeaux which means going through every single part of the level again for it as I couldn't find any video guides. The music is really well done and a little disturbing at times I thought ? as all of them has an errie soundtrack with disturbing sounds constantly going arouns you with sounds like, screetching, kids crying, people screaming, etc. Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Story: 4/10

Popular Post Viscera1900
#334 - Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (PS5) This Is What We Do "Win every trophy." Enjoyment: 8.5/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Completion time: 23 hours / 1 week, 22 hours (PSNP) The video game adaptation of Guardians of the Galaxy which happens to be one of my top favorite MCU movies. Since I haven't played Marvel's Avengers game; I had somewhat high expectations for this game. I'm glad to say that I had good times with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The characters and their deliveries sold this game for me; the game shines when it focuses on them and the world around them. It's very linear and story focused game, but it works very well for this game. The story is interesting and humorous enough to keep entertained from the beginning to the end. Trophy wise it's not very difficult game to complete, but it has some very annoying collectible trophies that can't be achieved/earned using chapter select. The game pretty much forces you to play New Game+ to get those missing collectibles. I had few missing costumes in chapter 6 and chapter 12 and I couldn't use chapter select to earn those trophies.
