Some months later, here on PSN Profiles, I befriended @Destructor-8 , and I congratulated him for his hard racing Platinums, including this one. One day, I don't remember why, we ended up chatting again on PSN: we talked about games and Platinums, and this game came up. I explained to him what my struggles were, and he encouraged me to try again and he gave me some tips for the brutal HD Campaign. I thanked him and promised him I would have eventually returned to the game. I am extremely proud of this Platinum, and I have to publicly thank Destructor-8 for it, who also followed me and kept giving me advices for every single race I was struggling with: if it wasn't for him and his advices, I would have never got this Platinum. And he would have never encouraged me, if I hadn't congratulated him for his hard Platinums: be kind to the next, and the next will be kind to you Thank you, my friend! I really appreciate the shout out dude! I'm glad you were able to come back to this game & get through it. I'm always happy to help anyone who needs any advice on this game, especially this one since it is the hardest of the Wipeout games since there is a lot more to do in it. I have heard a lot mention the AI being changed in this one & in multiple Wipeout speedruns I have tested I found the AI set similar times during the speedruns that I did. It's great that you kept at this game as I remember you asking for advice whilst getting closer & closer to doing this so honestly it really is amazing that you stuck with it. If you ever need any other advice about another racing game then I'm always around for a message. I appreciate the shout out so well done man! I will also post whilst I'm here. I finished Dyad recently after being recommended it in the trophy checklist that I maintain here. It's not really a true racer but many have described it as one. I think it's like a puzzle racer since it does seem like a puzzle to figure out how to do each of the levels. I have read many have found this game heavily luck based & I will say that this is definitely one of the games that required the most luck in although you can get consistent in all of the levels in the game. I found about 4 or 5 quite difficult & when I get around to writing a review on this game then I will explain how best to do these 4 or 5 since it doesn't seem like there is the best of info out there on this game. I will do a writeup of Dyad on the trophy checklist that I made & go into more detail. It was very difficult at times. Popular Post Undead Wolf
#400 - Elden Ring Elden Ring Obtained all trophies This game came out a little over a week ago now, but it only feels like it's been a couple of days to me. Time flies when you're having fun I guess. ? It took me a good 60 hours to get the platinum. I'm not going to stop playing the game now that I have the plat, but it'll be taking it easy now, helping a friend get through some of the tougher areas/bosses, and maybe help some randoms too. But man, this game is incredible. I was on media blackout going into this game, so I didn't really know what to expect other than "open world Dark Souls". I can confirm that's a pretty accurate description. ? As a huge fan of the Souls games (and Sekiro/Bloodborne), in a lot of ways, this feels like the natural evolution of the formula. This is one of those games I know I'll look back on fondly years from now and wish I could experience for the first time again. The game world is absolutely massive, and I know for a fact that there's still tons of secrets and optional content I missed. It's overwhelming, but in a good way. I just love that you're encouraged to explore things naturally without a large map marker pointing you where to go just so you can cross something off a never ending checklist. This is a game that respects the player's intelligence. I wanted to explore because the environments are just so damn cool-looking, and the rewards you get for doing so are actually worth it unlike a lot of other open world games. So many awesome boss fights too, a lot of which kicked my ass of course (I'm looking at you Malenia). ? I'd say the platinum in this game is actually quite a bit easier than the other FromSoftware titles despite the sheer scope of the game. Instead of having to collect all weapons, spells, etc, you only need to find the legendary ones which is like below 20 for each category. There's no covenants in this game which reduces the grinding needed considerably. Thankfully, there's not many missables either. One of the ending requires a good bit of setup, but I stumbled through most of that quest line without even needing to check a guide. Most of the other trophies just require you to beat bosses, the vast majority of which are found in the optional caves/dungeons scattered throughout the map. But anyway, I LOVED this game. One of the, if not *the* best open world game I've ever played. I'm glad to keep the FromSoftware tradition going for my hundred plat milestones. ? And finally, how fucking good was that main menu music? ??

Popular Post nestamar5
Undertale Don't You Have Anything Better to Do? Platinum rarity: 48.00% I wasn't expecting for this platinum to be so easy, I just wanted to play Undertale again. While it is not my favorite game by any means, I enjoyed it a long time ago and still enjoy it today. However, I am a little put off by how easy the platinum is and that you don't even need to beat the game to get it. Some of the trophy names are funny (or at least enjoyable) such as "Don't Worry, I Have Lots of Ideas for Trophies" and "Help Me, I'm Out of Ideas" but that's all it has going for it in my opinion. It would have been nice to have at least one or two skill based trophies and one for beating the game. I love the gameplay but not a fan of the trophy list.
Popular Post RedRodriguez87
#376: トロフィーマスタ Been eyeing this platinum for a long time, as it's my favorite type; decorative and blue. The game, a rhythm dance type, is alright. I wish I could say more, but this has never really been my genre of choice, and as you can tell from the rarity percentage, it's not really a taxing one. There are a lot of things to help you through the tricky moments, the only thing you need is the patience to grind money and tickets, and withstand copy-pasted moe girls who ALL sound like they share the same voice actress. No offense.

Popular Post Boomshanks
( 75) CUPHEAD GRAND UPROAR Enjoyment: 10!/10! Difficulty: 8/10 Oh My God Yes ! After spending hours I finally beat that damned Dr. Kahl´s Robot on Expert. I saved this for my 75th platinum since I love the game so much. I cannot say enough good things about Cuphead. It´s the first game in a very long time of which I remember I was counting the days until it came out. And it absolutely delivered on all fronts. The presentation is a perfect 10/10 in my book. The art style and animations are absolutely gorgeous. All of the incredibly hard work of drawing every frame by hand has been worth it a thousand times over. There are so many great animations that had me laughing out loud, like the intro of Grim Matchstick or the death animation of Wally Warbles . The music is also incredible. I’m not really a fan of jazz, but in this game I somehow love it. Tracks such as Murine Corps and Floral Fury stayed in my head long after I stopped playing. Now all of this would have been for nothing if the gameplay wasn’t good, but thankfully it’s incredible. The controls are very responsive and whenever I died (which was a lot) I only had myself to blame. The only tip I would give is to change the control layout asap as the one you start out with isn’t that good. I mapped the jump and dash to L1 and R1 and shooting to square and it felt much, much better. The run-and-gun levels were ok, but the most fun is to be had with the bosses. There are a total of 19 bosses in the game and they are all great. I had a lot more trouble with the airplane bosses than with the regular ones, though even with those I often struggled. The first real roadblock was Grim Matchstick followed by a much larger roadblock in Dr. Kahl’s Robot. That final phase with the chaos emerald just doesn’t want to end and I have so much trouble with it . My favorite of the bosses has to be Werner Werman though I love almost all of them. Thankfully you don’t need to get an A+ rank on every boss as a A- rank will count as well. After I finished the game I didn’t have a lot of problems getting the A ranks. The pacifist trophy was difficult but doable so I had the most problems with the Expert run. Wally Warbles on Expert is absolutely insane. Though some bosses such as Cala Maria and Rumour Honeybottoms didn’t give me much problems, and Grim Matchstick is much easier on Expert, some other took a lot of tries. But I did manage to get them all in the end and I’m very proud of my hardest platinum so far . The game is very tough but because the matches are so short and a retry is instantaneous I always wanted to go another round. I can’t wait for the DLC coming this year.

Popular Post Gommes_
# 146 Street Fighter Unbeatable Fist THIS.IS.IT. – My biggest gaming achievement so far. WipEout HD, Mirror’s Edge, Dead Space 2, Vanquish, Street Fighter 4 and many other games from the PS3 era always had this fascinating reputation for me. I started some of these games back then when I knew nothing about trophy hunting and over time I managed to complete them eventually. Some with more frustration, some with less. One game however, was always my white whale and that was Street Fighter 4. The trials were just a completely different level and something I just couldn’t beat or better said never tried because of its reputation and that super low percentage of people who managed to beat them. Moreover, I had a YLOD in 2013 and lost many saves on my PS3. One of them was this particular game. So, I had to start from scratch when I decided to give it another go in 2022. First thing I wanted to do were the infamous trials. I mean, why bother with online and the other modes if you can’t beat the one thing that’s blocking you from getting the platinum? Doing the normal ones was not easy but okay. Doing the hard ones though was brutal at times. It took me roughly 70 hours and not only tested skill but patience as well. I’ve played other beat em ups and I like the genre a lot but trials from games like Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 or Persona 4 Arena Ultimax were constructed differently. You always had room for error, since you don’t need to complete all of them and they didn’t throw that specific timing at you. I am talking about 1 frame links where you have exactly the time of 1 frame to connect one move to another. So in a sixtieth of a second you need to hit the exact frame to do that. You have no idea if that frame is at 17/60 or at 52/60. Figuring that out is insanely hard. Luckily, these kind of trials are kinda rare but if they are part of the combo you are in for a good time ?. For example, I can do a combo in MvC3 where I have to connect 12 moves with no problems but will struggle in Street Fighter 4 where I have to connect “only” 4 moves. To be more specific, El Fuerte has a combo where you have to connect two moves with a 1 frame link. So I had to put in that combo for like 3 hours before it finally connected. There are visual cues but seeing them in time is almost impossible. Or at least it was for me. So when that trial was finally clear I got super excited before I moved on to C. Viper. She even stepped up the game of hard trials and her hard trial #3 nearly broke me. Knowing the theory of 1 frame links, focus cancel attacks, dashes, charging moves and so on is one thing. Figuring out her high jump cancel though, is something I couldn’t wrap my head around. Any other trial could be done with patience as I knew what to do. This one was different, since you had to move your thumb with the speed of light in order to cancel a light! punch into an ultra. So actually, both moves had to come out almost at the same time. Inputting two quarter circles (plus jump) while doing a crouched light punch is beyond every understanding and took me ages! The worst part is that it is exhausting to try, so you can’t just go for hours. That specific trial is also easier in Super Street Fighter 4, because you can connect that move to a medium punch which is a ton of time in comparison! After 4 days I think, it finally worked somehow and after her last 2 trials the trophy for completing all of them finally popped ?! All I had to do then was boosting online with a friend and completing the Survival and Time Attack modes on gold, which was tedious and a little annoying but okay. So, here I am after almost 13 years where Street Fighter 4 awarded me with my first trophy ever in 2009 and my hardest one yet in 2022. My “rarest trophy section” now looks boring, since it is filled with trophies from that game and kicked out GTA 4, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon and WipEout HD ?. I now completed every game in my list which has a platinum and I couldn’t be more excited. Let’s see if there will ever be a game coming close to the difficulty of Street Fighter 4 in the future. But for now I will probably play something more casual ?. And once again, thanks to @Copanele for letting me vent and giving me tips for the trials. You helped me a lot buddy! Popular Post madbuk
#452 - Persona 5 Royal I played the original Persona 5 almost 2 years ago, and enjoyed it a lot. I wasn't sure I'd ever play Royal, but it was cheap enough in a sale that I thought I'd give it a chance. Overall, my experience with it... is rather lackluster. Persona 5 itself was a good game, so this, by default, is a good game too, but... it just really isn't anything else. For the vast majority of my time playing this, I just felt like I was stacking Persona 5, the new content was way too few and far between. The extra month was by far the best content in the game as far as Royal additions are concerned, but you have to replay the entirety of P5 to get to it, and P5 is a long game. As I have found out while doing this, P5 isn't particularly replayable, a lot of scenes really dragged on this time when they hadn't during my first playthrough. One particularly noteworthy aspect that grated on me was every character having to take turns to say the exact same thing. This was especially bad when doing Mementos stuff, particularly when confirming requests. I'm happy I got to experience the new content, but I don't think it was really worth going through base P5 again to do so. For any newcomers, just start with Royal tbh, ignore base Persona 5 entirely. I'll also be kinda hesitant to get Persona 6 now, that'll probably get some extra bonus addition too that makes the original redundant anyway.

Popular Post Zircon_Lotus
Platinum #117 Ar Nosurge Plus: Ode To An Unborn Star "Back when Ra Ciela still existed...". In Ar Nosurge we follow the story of the colony ship Soreil. Its inhabitants are the descendants of the survivors of the destructions of their home world, Ra Ciela, in their unending travel through space to a inhabitable planet. However humans are regularly attacked by mysterious creatures, the Sharl, and kidnapped to an unknown place. Can they survive those attacks and reach their destination? Ar Nosurge certainly has one of the most unique and creative stories out there. Not only the story has a rather unique plot, but they added a lot of 4th wall breaking in it, and not to make jokes: it is an integral part of the storytelling. And it is not hard to understand the story, even though it is a sequel to the Japan-exclusive Ciel Nosurge. At first I felt a bit overwhelmed by information, but as the story progress those things are explained. Besides whenever an important event of the previous game is mentioned, some character always explains it, so you can understand everything without problem. The soundtrack is a point that really stands out. Gust games always have very good OSTs, and this one is not different. If I had to make a list it would be one of the higher rankeds. Graphic-wise it looks the same as most JRPGs from the Vita. The framerate is constant at 90% of the time, but during some Song Attacks with many enemies on screen, and in certain maps the fps drops though. The gameplay is also pretty unique. When on a zone with enemies you can defeat all of them at once in just one battle. This is good for walking the maps, because you dont have to bother with the number of fights, but you will have little use for the battle system because of this. The maps are usually short anyways, so maybe they should have given a bit more spotlight to combat. Since this game is more of a novel / dating sim than a JRPG, makes sense. The conversation between partners, diving inside the mind of important characters to help solve their subconscious contradictions, and the main game itself, be prepared for a lot of reading. The synthesis had personality, I liked it and never skipped one. The platinum is really easy. As long as you watch out for the missables, everything is just playing the side content of the game. There is not any kind of grind for the platinum. The combat trophies are very manageable, not needing any kind of special preparation to get them. If Ar Nosurge were to be described in a single word, it would be "unique". This game is very different from most games that I played, and I really liked this, it has personality. It is niche, but the fact that this game is largely unknown, at least in the West, is surprising. If reading most of the time is not a problem, you should give this game a try. it is worth the time.

Popular Post Eqill5
#56 - Crash Team Racing: NF! Woah! It’s been a while since I’ve completed anything! The biggest challenge in this game is the Oxide time trials, which to begin with I really sucked at... After doing my first track I couldn’t understand how I was supposed to go over 15 seconds faster to beat his time?! This is what happens when you stroll through the Adventure mode on easy, barely drifting, thinking pff - don’t see what all the fuss is about ! Though this is the hardest part of the game I actually had the most fun here. Learning how and when to properly drift boost and holding on to your sacred fire for as long as you can is really satisfying! When you start making your way through the tracks and Oxide is but a speck in the rear view (or 10 milliseconds behind) you get a good sense of achievement and I could clearly see my improvement on screen to when I started. Would recommend, fun challenge and full of nostalgic vibes!
