Popular Post Pinguim_Ocupado
#16 InFamous So, i finally played this game. I had great times with that, it's a fun game with good aspects, but well, unfortunately with a lot of bad aspects too. I noticed a lot of annoying bugs, the soundtrack is good but we hardly noticed in the game, graphics are ok but somethings could be a lot better, the pacing don't feel right, i think that could be worked better, and the list goes on.. Well, i enjoyed a lot, but i just see many problems here. Hope that some of this points gets better on InFamous 2! Popular Post Hemiak
Plat #107 Have you ever tried Shawarma? Collect every trophy 18.95% rare I got this for my son and daughter in a sale back in July of 2015. They promptly played about 4 levels, and then forgot about it. A couple months later they started it up again, and shortly thereafter one of my son's friends overwrote the only save file. Fast forward another year and I finally talk my son into starting it up again with me. Short story is he got completely hooked and we've been playing it "together" for the last couple months. The game is a typical lego game. You control two-three characters and can swap between them at will. The characters range from X-men, to Avengers, Fantastic 4, and other non-affiliated super heroes, both good and bad. The story follows Loki, Dr. Doom, and Magneto as they try to steal "cosmic bricks" made from Silver Surfer's broken board. There are 15 story levels, and 11 bonus levels that unlock throughout the game. For the platinum you have to play each level a minimum of 2x, once in story and once in free-play, where you have access to all the characters. This is necessary to find all the goodies in the game. The game was decent, it's easy to get locked into the "one more mission/quest/collectible" mentality. I had a few minor glitches during the journey, but nothing a game reset wouldn't cure. i felt like there was just too much in the game. With 250 gold bricks to collect, 50 Stan Lee's to rescue, 11 red bricks in the bonus missions, 150 minikits spread through the story missions, and a whopping 150+ characters/skins to unlock, it definitely overstays it's welcome. I'm definitely done with this now, but my kids love being able to play with every single character and vehicle whenever they want. Fun: 5/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Grind: 8/10 Plat #108 South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ Platinum Trophy Collected all South Park™: The Stick of Truth™ trophies. 16.30% rare I used to watch South Park when I was in college and it first came out. I quickly grew out of it after that and haven't really given it a second thought. When this game came out I pretty much immediately dismissed it, and then people starting raving about it. I finally found it on sale and decided that since I do like old school RPGs I'd give it a try. The game is pretty fun. It's not particularly difficult, and I played the entire thing on normal. The story follows a new kid (you) who moves to South Park, where everyone is involved in a LARP game that pits elves versus humans for control of The Stick of Truth. In typical South Park fashion, the game is 2 parts hilarity to 3 parts blatant inappropriateness. The main play style is a 2D side view turn based RPG that pits you and a buddy against as many as 7 enemies at one time. Usually however, you only have to deal with 2-4 enemies. You can be one of 4 classes, and they can all use any armor or weapon in the game. They basically just have different special attacks. There are a few pain in the ass trophies that forced me to make a full 2nd play through. This isn't necessary if you follow a guide more diligently than I did however. The good thing is that the game start to finish 100% on my 2nd run only took about 8 hours, and I was able to skip almost all of the dialogue and cut-scenes. All in all a pretty good game, but it definitely wears on you after a while. Fun: 6/10 Difficulty: 3/10

Oh well it is a plat that was 5 years in the making. I know this series has a lot of fans...I am not one of them. Congrats on pushing through the game. Even as a person who enjoys most of the series I have to say that the humor in many cases is just plain annoying. There are some nice self-referencing jokes but the majority is rather bland. The gameplay of the first game is probably the most uncommon and horrible one in the series and with the second game they decided to do a more classic battle system which is far more enjoyable IMO. I hope the rest of the games until plat #200 will be more enjoyable for you.
Popular Post Ala-Arska
Batman: The Telltale Series I'm Batman Complete Batman I do understand the concept of 'Dark Knight', but this is just ridiculous. What a cool game this could have been. A cool game this should have been. But no. Staying true to previous Telltale Games' titles, Batman offers the same graphical style, same meaningless choices and same voice actors. Plot wise it's at times entertaining, but mostly implausible and irritating. The way some characters are changed is...appalling. Main villains are having enough screen time. Except the Joker, but maybe that's for (a hopefully improved) Season 2 ? And though there's no sign of either Mr. Freeze or the Riddler, B:TTS itself is riddled with technical hiccups and constant freezes Especially that last episode. It had more glitches and plot holes than the rest of the chapters combined. Bunch of rich, lazy bastards, those devs. Telltale Games should really start getting their s**t together. It's a shame to see all that potential go to waste. I can't recommend this Batman outing to anyone, not even hardcore fans. There are better games out there, I'll let you guys know when I find one

Popular Post Azelais
Tales of Xillia Lord of Xillia The mark of complete Xillia mastery. Thanks for playing This took me a long time to wrap up. Nevertheless, I greatly enjoyed playing Xillia once more. As a matter of fact: I dug up my JP copy of Xillia for that sure to come moment in time when I am itching to play another round... or two! One for Jude and one for Milla. The copy now sits on my shelf alongside my other old PS3 games that I made the firm resolution to replay - in order to enjoy that short but sweet PS3 era RPG goodness again. With Xillia completed, the 1st step is done!
Popular Post Dragon-Archon
#150: Sword Art Online Hollow Fragment This game has an alternate story and takes place shortly after beating floor 75 in Aincrad. When Kirito won the duel, the game didn't end. Instead they all have to clear the remaining 25 floors to end it. This game depicts the floor-clearing aspect well and also has a MMO feel to it. To clear a floor players need to explore it first, then find the boss room. Along the way they can also gather information about the boss, which will help NPCs during the boss raid. It's also possible to help NPCs when they send a request to help them level up. During a boss raid 6 NPCs will fight with Kirito and whoever he partners up with. Keeping all of them alive during all 25 floors is challenging at first, but becomes much easier after Kirito has leveled up a bit and learned OSS combos (chaining sword skills), but more about that later. Floor bosses also have a last hit bonus, meaning the the one who kills the boss gets a unique piece of equipment. There's also a trophy for getting them all. Besides Aincrad, there's the Hollow Area. This is a testing area that was used to test stuff for the main game and has its own story mode. After completing it, Phillia can move to Aincrad and will be available when clearing floors. The Hollow Area also has a mechanic called implements. These are basically items, equipment, and skills that Kirito can test. Once the tests are complete, they can be implemented into the game and will be available to use freely in Aincrad and the Hollow Area. The idea behind this is great, but they're way too grindy. Completing 100 out of 114 takes a long time. To make things worse, implements can only be tested during a Hollow Mission. These are timed missions that appear in the Hollow Area and requires players to beat certain enemies or reach a specific place before the timer runs out. These missions respawn after a certain time and can be done over and over. Doing 80 unique Hollow Missions is quite a lot, so keeping a checklist is recommended. Of course I didn't do that at first. Also on the Vita version the Hollow Missions in the Discard Area (which was added to the Hollow Area in a patch) don't count for the trophy, so I had to do about 23 Hollow Missions in the other 5 areas. Another grindy trophy is to kill 100 Hollow Named Monsters (HNM). These only spawn when an area rank has reached lvl 3 and are stronger versions of bosses from the Hollow Area. An area rank will increase when doing Hollow Missions. Killing 100 is a bit too much, but it wasn't so bad. It's also a great opportunity to work on implements. The last (and IMO the worst) grind are the affection trophies. Every main heroine needs to have a maxed out affection. There are several ways to do that: talk to them or spam Good during fights. I used the latter until they were lvl 4, then talked to them for 90 minutes to 2 hours to get them to level 5. This had to be done for Asuna, Phillia, Strea, Leafa, Sinon, Lisbeth, and Silica. The combat system is nicely done too. At first it seems very simple to attack, use a buff or sword skill, dodge, and parry. But the more you play, the more mechanics will be discovered. For example timing dodges/parries will result in bonuses. fighting styles and sword skills also level up through usage. Later it becomes possible to create an Original Sword Skill (OSS). Chaining sword skills will increase the damage for the next sword skill, provided sword skills aren't used more than once during the combo. Using a finisher skill ends the combo immediately and these can get a 300% increase in damage. Doing the Grand Quest in the Discard Area also rewards Kirito and his partner with an OP sword skill finisher depending on the weapon he has equipped. This one is very useful when defeating floor bosses and HNMs. Kirito can equip a variety of weapons and my favourites are dual-wielding, rapier, and katana. Dual-wield does lots of damage against single enemies, rapier has fast attacks, and the katana has lots of AoE skills to deal with mobs. After completing the Grand Quest, the Ultra Hard Quest becomes available. There are 9 quests to defeat extremely powerful bosses and getting the last hit bonus on them rewards a legendary weapon. There's one weapon for each fighting style. All in all this game is a perfect adaptation of the anime and if you like that, you'll like this game. It's quite a time sink, so people who haven't seen or don't like the anime should think twice before getting it. Popular Post Valyrious
#58 - Bioshock (PS4) It's as good as I remember. Haven't played this game in around 7+ years, and this remaster was well done. Well, outside of all the goddamn freezing that occurred. Only needed to back track for two audio diaries. Not sure how I missed them before, but at least I didn't have to go hunting for a bunch of them. One of my favourite games.

whoadreader
#169 - Reus This is the second game that I've been the first to platinum! I really liked this game but it got a bit boring after you reached the point where you can build most things. I like the art design and it took quite a bit of planning to build some of the later projects to begin with. On the downside the game crashes occasionally and it can be very rng dependant on whether you get the right projects but it didn't detract too much from the overall experience.

Having played the game with the Japanese voices, I heard many jokes that were different from the written text. When I made my post here about the game I'd noted that the Japanese jokes were better. They were usually more pun based, but they were lost in translation. For example, at one point Neptune makes a joke about IF by changing her nickname "I-chan" to "Ai-chan." It was a scene where she was acting lovey-dovey with someone else. Ai is one of the Japanese words for love, so the pun wouldn't translate and they completely changed the joke.

Popular Post voodoo_eyes
#154 - Soulcalibur II HD Online Decent fighting game, that's a tad dated. The positives are a decent amount of characters (although a bunch of them need to be unlocked first) and a good number of modes. The bad and pointless are the "extra" versions of the standard modes, the balancing for characters is non-existent. The main mode which is Weapon Master is interesting at first, until you complete it for the first time. Then the game decides to artificially prolong itself , by having you complete the same again (with slight variations), but more difficult. Enjoyment: 6 Difficulty: 5
