Popular Post Lance_87
#47 - Burnout Paradise Remastered (PS4) Like i said on the previous post, i was really close to celebrate my 4000th trophy, and that time has finally come! (and gone lol) This is literally the THIRD time i fully finish the game both offline and online: first with the Ultimate Box on PC back in 2009 (which didn't get the best DLC though), then on PS3 back in 2014, and now this, and once again including all the DLC trophies, all done without much trouble. And again, i also got the infamous 500 Freeburn challenges and the P12 Diamond for the second time! (there were "only" 490 on PC and no real reward for getting all of them lol) I wish to thank ALL the players who joined my lobby during the past week and whoever indirectly or directly helped me. I wasn't expecting so many players, i thought the game was empty after five years, but i was completely wrong. Now, i'll play a little more and then move to something else... three racing games in a row are enough for now Edited March 13, 2023 by Lance_87
Popular Post blacklight-nero
#429 This was an awesome game thoroughly enjoyed it, In fact I may go back once in a while to finish colouring the whole map, It had a nice story, great bunch of characters and decent puzzles, Colouring in everything in sight was tempting but it was taking to long to colour the screens to my liking so like I said above I may go back for that, With that said the guide said this game is a bit buggy which I did experience the game crashed on me 6 times and it corrupted my save data once luckily for me I didn’t lose progress since I had just backed up my save 10 minutes before, Overall even with some of those issues I can’t say it diminished my enjoyment of the game It was fantastic. #428 Meh bought it for very cheap and for an easy platinum, there is some fun to be had I guess but not much. #427 I don’t really like or play many visual novels but I like playing different types of games and bought this for very cheap, I actually thought it was decent I didn’t skip any of the dialogue so I guess I enjoyed it well enough it had fun characters and a nice story.

Popular Post Terra
#189 Difficulty: 2/10 Enjoyment: 10/10 This was an incredibly fun and incredibly unique game. SPOILER BELOW: Spoiler The basic premise is you have to find out which of Doctor Dekker's patients ended up killing him. I found each of the characters interesting, each with their own unique backgrounds and personalities. My personal favorite was Elin. Spoiler Who ended up being the killer anyway...oh well. The mechanics are pretty simple. You have to select from pre-determined questions or answer questions using the in-game keyboard to find out more about the patient and about Dr. Dekker. Overall, the game was well worth the price and it's sad to see it's not talked about that often. Luckily their are two supposed "Sequels" made by the same developer which I will be playing very, very soon. I highly recommend you check this out if you are a fan of FMV/narrative games.

Popular Post Darghel
#177: Professional Dusk Diver (Dusk Diver 2) Difficulty: Pretty easy, but watch for the missables! Time to Complete: 30 hours Recommended: hmm...yes but with caution Total score: 7.5/10 Oof, I remember playing the first Dusk Diver about a year (and a month) ago, just after getting my plat for Rayman Legends after the 3.5 month of cup grinding, and really wanting some easy game to relax and enjoy. And this game was relaxing and enjoyable, with a fun little combat system that was very reminiscent of the Dynasty Warriors - or Persona Strikers, at least that's what I heard of. It was a genuine surprise and I loved every moment of that game despite its issues, and I even remember reading about the sequel just about after completing that game. So I waited, months and months for a playstation port (I could get it on steam too but I WANTED this platinum) and then it came...and waited for a sale because I thought it was a bit too expensive for the time (the original was about 30 bucks, the sequel is 50). Anyway case in point I got the game, played it, and...uhhh...hmmm...right, this game didn't fully convince me. And even now as I got my plat I'm just conflicted. First things first, the positives: the game looks nice, they clearly took a lot of time to improve the visuals, there's a lot more of motion capture, the areas are nicer than before - and more varied - and there are more places to explore than before. There's more story now and there's more focus on it, even though I kinda didn't understand much of it and most of the villains or extra characters barely appear until much later. Heck D.D, the character in the cover, the literal cornerstone that is shown in the cover, not only comes pretty late but she isn't even that constant in the game! I seriously forgot she existed. And then she joins as a level 1 character...."Sigh" What I want to say is that, overall, there is a huge leap in quality design and overall exploration: the first game was barebone, areas were ALL identical, the city was small, and enemies were pretty much all the same so at the very least I can say that the game did improve on giving more variety But all of this at the cost of what was, in my opinion, the best part of the original game: the combat. And oh dear...what have they done to the combat... The first game's combat wasn't perfect but it was fun, it was all about crowd control, managing the right move with the right skill by pressing the right combination of buttons (like in DW), and knowing which character to use for the occasion: Leo's attacks could do a lot of damage, Bahet had crowd control, and Le Viada had a mix of CC and long range attacks. It was all about combining the right skill with the right character, as they were more like spirits rather than companions. And it worked! Plus there were so many enemies in the field that you HAD to manage right! It was fun, very fun! But in the sequel, all of that complexity is practically gone: square does a simple combo attack, with some slight variation depending on the character (Leo does more damage if you hold the button each input, Bahet does debuffs if you time it right). Triangle does an heavy attack that can follow to different attacks, once you unlock them, and circle now does a "signature move" that, in all honesty, kinda sucks and I mostly use it for counters. In the original, Circle was to combine your attack with your "spirit", depending on what combo you were on, so knowing that your circle attack just does a silly move that isn't always effective it's...really disappointing to say the least. Secondly, the enemies are so few now and WAY more tanky: taking out an enemy takes forever and you do very little damage, especially at the start where you don't have a lot of skills to use. But all of this doesn't matter since you have probably the biggest cheese in the entire game: the break strike. What it is, it's simply a state where enemies - after breaking their armor or after several attacks in a row - get stunned and you do a follow for massive damage and I do mean MASSIVE: at level 60 with rank 12 weapons and everything I was doing 5k damage per break strike! I was able to one-shot any enemy as long as they were wall launched. Yikes.. . And on top of that, your characters just don't feel as fun or as interesting to use. In the original you only used Yumo and it should be good to use more character right? Yes, except Yumo is simply better than everyone, and the others don't do a lot of damage to launch or break just like Yumo does. I tried to use the other characters as much as I could, enjoying Bahet and Viada's combat a lot and occasionally Leo, but they're just not good enough. In the end You'll stick with Yumo's constant wall launching so that you can quickly dispatch enemies... And...well there is more technically: they also removed the gacha collectibles (don't worry, no microtransaction required!), the cinema and a proper friendship system, which also limits the interactions with your partners - which I really enjoyed in the original, but they're BARELY developed here, almost requiring you to have played the original to know who they are. The food system is worse and you can only eat a certain amount of time before having to eat again, and some food use a certain amount of stacks...okay granted it was hilarious seeing my group gorging food like pigs but damn it I wanted the damn trophy, it's a small cost! Or big! And there's a lot more of collectibles now, a LOT more: food, dragon vein shards, gallery pics, costumes...i don't mind the occasional collectibles but - again - in the original collectibles were also your upgrades, dragon vein shards allowed you to power up so that you could do better so it made sense. Oh but now there's now a proper level system, with a shared exp pool for everyone and a Souls-like leveling system which isn't fun, has too many stats that kind of do the same thing (power and strength are practically the same, Endurance and Stamina are worthless, and Luck actually increases your crit...so why not just call it crit?), and a gear that is pretty pointless too and feels meaningless when all you really want is gem slots. And gem crafting sucks since it's pure RNG, which is always nice! Gosh...can it get worse? "Sigh" yeah because even the traveling system is overly convoluted, requiring you to travel several areas before even reaching your destination. Seriously, why even have the RMT station area in the game? Just have me AT the place I need to be! I played on Ps5 so loads were super quick but can you imagine, say, having to go to Dadaocheng (a new area) on ps4? Because it would roughly go like this: reach the Ximen Station, enter the Ximen Station, select Beimen Station, enter Beimen Station, exit the Beimen Station, and THEN you're finally at Dadaocheng...did I mention the original game had a very easy, comfortable, level and difficulty select just INSIDE the Store?!?!?!? And lastly, but definitely not least, and probably the most important thing of all: the game has a ton of missable trophies this time - thanks for the guide for showing that by the way, you saved my run! - and no free roaming like in the original, meaning that you'll have to do this in one go or continue in ng+, which is interesting as you have 3 additional characters and basically upgrades from the get-go and...no restrictions? Upgrades are now from the start? All gems are now available to be crafted, but why now??? Why have more characters now that I finished the game?! And why couldn't I upgrade my skills sooner than chapter 8? Aaaaargh! <Slams head> Sorry for the wall of the text and I mean it - I'm very ranty when I want to - but I was really hyped for this game and I looked forward to getting it on sale, I was legitimately excited to try this game out and I expected it to be at least as fun as the previous game. But to see this game not only missing the point with the combat and overall kinda boring story just hurts me. And it's a shame because there ARE a lot of good things and improvements but a few changes completely ruined the whole game in my opinion. So would I even recommend this? Let me put it this way. if you've played the first and enjoyed it you might find this so different that you need to get used to it, and just like me, you'll wonder why they changed what worked in the original and made the changes overly convoluted. However, if you HAVEN'T played the original and you're just starting with this then you might like it a lot more and maybe even enjoy it a ton, perhaps giving you the curiosity to try the first game and see the changes. Sorry again for the long wall but I really...REALLY had to let my thoughts out on this. It's definitely a good game, no doubt about it. But I wouldn't call it a good sequel. Popular Post Cal
Uncharted 4:A Thief's End Platinum 69 So I wasn't going to make Uncharted 4 my 69 platinum but when I basically got the DLC trophies all done by playing with just two randoms who clearly played the Survival DLC for a very long time I just went ahead and started to unlock all the other trophies. Probably my third fave Uncharted game it has a slow opening but ramps up when you get to Scotland, crushing difficulty was more annoying then challenging I swear I died more times from falling to my death then actually dying in combat but none of the trophies were to hard and some quite fun to unlock.
Popular Post Juzota
#166 - Erica That's a Wrap Unlock all bronze, silver and gold trophies. It should be illegal to not have a skip scene option in a FMV-game after your first playthrough. And also, don't make the touchpad only option to control your game with PS4 controller (I know you can use mobile phone, but that's even bigger no no for me). Kinda wanna like this game more, but those 2 things really annoyed me. And also the story was kinda bad, but that's just a positive and why I even play these FMV's. Popular Post slender_adrian
#116 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 7/10 Grind: 3/10 Time: 38 Hours Rarity: [Very Rare 7.3% / Uncommon 27.24% ] "...Thank you, and have a qwarktastic day." Mannn this is so fantastic and nostalgic, this game has an unique charm that the other games don't especially the remake. I love how the R&C have stayed true to its roots! I love how the humor in this game is kinda adult and have a mature touch to it, for example Ratchet seeks for vengeance and it's not to interested in being a hero for the most part, not like the remake where has a childish vibe. That aside this game is awesome, for a first videogame to a series it has everything, the humor, the characters, the little details like a lot of extra stuff, the secrets on each level, just everything that makes Ratchet and Clank games be good! Of course this game if far from being perfect, and for the age this game is it has some stuff really questionable in it's design, like shops or even checkpoints, but for a game this old to have a good system of checkpoints is the same to have a triple A game without microtransactions nowadays. The difficulty its as good as any other platformer for the era, 4 hits you dead, but there's the checkpoints which are annoying but they make the game way more enjoyable and easier. Story is pretty good, feels like and old cartoon mixed with a little of star wars haha. This is one of the first games I ever played in my life and its pretty good, if you like oldy games for the ps2 era I totally recommend it, and if you played this game too while a kid I salute you! Trophy wise this game is pretty average and easy, but heads up, if by any chance you plan to plat this game be careful while going for the 1.000.000 Bolts trophy, the most efficient way of doing this is by doing a glitch on Rilgar, this glitch is a one time only and its 6 or 8 hours just in that, so if you don't get a 1m bolts before you stop the glitch you won't be able to get it until a new playthrough (ng+) or if you reload you save and start over, so don't save or leave until you have 1m bolts, the glitch is in the guide here on psnprofiles. That's the reason this game took me almost 40 hours, I screwed the glitch and there's another way to get bolts but not as efficient as the main method, so I tape down my controller and I left it there while I went to college and unfortunately the tape stopped doing enough pression on the circle, so I only reached 120k wasting 6 hours. If you screw it don't worry, just do it on new game plus, it's faster than staying on the 2nd method. That's the only tedious trophy, there are other which are quite the pain to get like doing the hoverboard race on 1:35 or getting all golden bolts. Despite all that this is a easy plat, not as easy as the remake one, since this one has a lot to do.
Popular Post Conor
#121- SLY RACCOON [PS3] True Thievius Raccoonus Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Time : 8 Hours, 37 Minutes Rarity: 22.9% Rare (PSN) / 49.95% Uncommon (PSNProfiles) Challenge: Greedy Raccoon- Open all vaults Also known as Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus outside of PAL regions, the first outing for Sly Cooper and the Cooper gang was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2002 and the titular character swiftly became one of the platform's primary mascots alongside Ratchet, Clank, Jak and Daxter, albeit arguably the least well-known of the bunch. I had never played a Sly game before but I was always curious and once I got ahold of a PlayStation 3 and the trilogy HD collection I was eager to try them out. The first game in the series is different from the others in that the levels are separate linear affairs accessed from a hub. Each different hub is a hideout of a member of the Klaww Gang, a nefarious gang of thieves who murdered Sly's family and stole the Thievius Raccoonus, a book containing all the knowledge and skills of the Cooper clan that helped them to steal countless valuable treasures and amass considerable wealth. Sly alongside the brawny hippo Murray and brainy turtle Bentley set out to retrieve the pages of the book while being pursued by Inspector Carmelita Fox. One by one Sly defeats his foes, gathers the missing pages and faces off against the Klaww gang's leader, an immortal mechanical owl named Clockwerk. Sly earns new skills by collecting clue bottles to open vaults and retrieve new pages. His life force is determined by a horseshoe on his back and the levels see him stealthily manouvering to the end to gather keys to proceed further into the hub to face the boss. The game is very short and easy with the biggest difficulty spike coming in the final battle but it is still not hard at all. This HD version runs at 16:9, 1080p and 60fps so it looks very clean and the cel-shaded aesthetic has aged pretty well. Sly's controls are a little clunky and the linear levels feel a bit dated but it is a fun time and worth checking out. Will probably stack this on the PS Vita at some point.

Popular Post Undead Wolf
#443 - Monster Hunter Rise Badge of Excellence The mark of a peerless hunter, conferred only to those who have earned a lot of awards. I had such a blast with World back in 2018, so I knew I had to jump on Rise immediately when it made its way to PlayStation. These are the only 2 games I've played in the series, so I can only really compare them to each other. You can definitely tell that Rise was made with the Switch in mind first and foremost. It's not as impressive graphically, although I do enjoy Rise's more stylized look. It goes well with the Japanese theme it has going on. I think the biggest downgrade comes from the areas themselves. Compared with World, the areas in Rise are scaled back significantly in terms of size and density. It really gave World that "next gen" feel which Rise lacks. Not only are Rise's areas smaller, but with the addition of the Palamute (basically a mount), you can get around them really quickly. Made the hunts feel more "arcadey", which has its own appeal, but it did make me miss World. Where Rise doesn't disappoint though is the combat. The Switch Skills are a great addition that help you customise your playstyle that little bit extra. The Wirebug attacks were cool too. I started off using the greatsword, but I swapped to the longsword about 100 hours in which is where the combat really clicked for me. It is oh so satisfying to quick sheathe, counter a monster's attack, and then follow up with a high damage helm breaker. ? No weapon in World felt as good as the longsword in Rise did to me, but I would like to go back to World and try out the longsword again, especially with all the new moves Iceborne introduced. Another superior thing about Rise is how the multiplayer is handled. First of all, you have a proper hub village where you can see your friends no matter where they are. World also had that annoying mechanic where you would have to view a cutscene in singleplayer before you were able to play the quest in multiplayer, so thankfully that was done away with in Rise. It's easy to forgive Rise for any step backs it took when it introduced these two lovely ladies. ? Much sexier than the handler in World. As for as the trophies goes, it was a long journey. You can see from the screenshot below that I had put over 300 hours into the game to get the platinum. I've been playing the game for like 6 hours almost every night since it released on the 20th of January, so its been a big part of my life for the past 7+ weeks. What makes it such a lengthy platinum? Crown hunting is a big part of it. Much like with World's platinum, you're required to get the gold large and miniature crowns for all the monsters, which basically means you have to hunt a very small version of the monster and a very large one. What makes this so time-consuming is that the monster sizes vary a lot, and the chances for you to get a gold crown-worthy one is usually a measly 3%. The crown hunting process usually involves loading into a map, finding the monster, putting it to sleep, and then measuring it using barrel bombs/your own body. If it looks like it could be big/small enough, you fight it and pray that all the time you take to kill it wasn't wasted on something that wasn't crown-sized, or if it doesn't look big/small enough, you abandon the quest and keep repeating until you do find something that looks promising. This is a very long and arduous process, with some of the more troublesome crowns taking like 4 or 5 hours. There are a total of 86 gold crowns you need to get in the base game, so now you can probably see why it takes so long. ? It's not just the crowns you have to farm for though, because you also need to do stuff like completing 50 rampages, finish 50 quests in each area, and hunt 1,000 monsters in total. Hunting 1,000 monsters is especially time-consuming, as even when I had gotten all the crowns and other trophies out of the way, I still had a couple of hundred left to go. One of the more annoying trophies is for acquiring all the decorations. You get most just by progressing through the game and killing 10 of every monster, but the worst ones to get are tied to the lottery system. So not only do you have to wait for a lottery, but you also have to hope that the grand prize is a decoration (which most of the time it won't be). Even when there is a decoration as the grand prize, you still have to actually win the jackpot, so that's like 3 layers of RNG right there. ? I was doing a lottery every chance I got, and I was still missing a couple of decorations nearing the end of the plat. I thought I was going to have to grind it out, but thankfully I got really lucky and managed to get both right before I finished everything else up. Still pretty stressful though! ? There are some other notable trophies too like capturing all the fish, taking pictures of all endemic life, etc, but they aren't that bad compared to everything else you have to do. Last but not least, I want to thank my good friends @Redgrave and @ShonenCat for joining me on this epic 300+ hour journey and being as dedicated to it as I was. It was a lot of fun talking with you guys while we hunted monsters and I look forward to doing it all again when Sunbreak comes out! ?(Me on the left, ShonenCat in the middle, and Redgrave on the right)
Popular Post Redgrave
#273: Badge of Excellence - Monster Hunter Rise A more appropriate title would be Monster Hunter Rise and Grind. But yes after seeing this be on the Switch and PC for so long I was glad to see that it was finally getting on PlayStation considering how good World was. In general I like the feudal Japan theme going for it especially with the way the monsters are introduced (example from the Teostra one) which is probably one of the best ways to introduce monsters or just about any boss ? I also like that they included having a Palamute companion that can fight along side you and other players technically making it a six person party even if they don't do much damage. Probably the best thing about them is you can ride them which makes traversing the maps a lot better. Also an improvement from World is that you can do MP pretty quickly and you don't have to do that odd thing where they make you watch the cutscenes before being able to summon anyone. Overall it's just a really good experience especially with the multiplayer. The trophies are more or less similar to World with the biggest three trophies being the infamous Crown hunt where you have to measure the monsters for their crowns. The time for this can really vary based on your luck. There are some monsters that have Events which guarantee crowns but for the ones that don't you basically have to measure them yourself. Perhaps one day Capcom will add some kind of method for convenient crown hunting that lets you scan a monster and can see the size of it without having to just look at it and hope it's good enough after spending 15 minutes killing it. The second trophy is for getting 1,000 kills which you think would come naturally but even after doing everything else chances are you probably need at least a hundred or so. The third trophy is one you wouldn't think would be a big deal but it has three layers of RNG attached to it and that's for getting all the decorations for your house. The first layer relies on you randomly getting a lottery available at the merchant after a mission. The second layer is whether or not the Grand Prize is a decoration you need since most of the time you will probably get things like pitfall traps or Demondrugs which you will surely have more than plenty of by the time you're almost done with the Platinum. The third and final layer is whether or not you win the Jackpot to even get that prize and the worst part is you can't just quit and load to manipulate it. So yeah if the crowns weren't bad enough they also thought this was another fun RNG thing to add in. Otherwise the trophies aren't that bad and it mainly just goes down to completing all the hunts and grinding other things which come pretty naturally. I remember it being somewhat more of an RNG fest in World but when it came to fishing and finding the other endemic life it didn't take near as long and the rare creatures could be spawned in by eating a specific Dango that you can make any time. All that said it's a great game and I would like to thank my fellow Hunters @Undead Wolf and @ShonenCat for playing with me ?
