Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platnium 162: Theatrhythm Final Bar Line Really enjoyed playing this and would recommend to anyone but especially those with an interest in music, RPGs and time sink games. That "just one more song" feeling gets its hooks into you really good in this game. Very charming, which is a weird thing to say about a game. Platinum isn't too difficult, all things considered, as it's more about the length of time needed to obtain some of the trophies. Plus, in a rarity for games I've platinumed, I'm not deleting it as I fully intend to keep playing this. There's still the full card album to complete and I've found it's a really good de-stresser after work. Both this and Powerwash Simulator have really helped with that recently. A solid game on all fronts.

Popular Post Trancexistence
#41 - My Big Sister Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 2 hours #42 - Just Ignore Them Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 2 hours #43 - Red Bow Enjoyment: 5/10 Difficulty: 2/10 Total Game Time: 2 hours This was an enjoyable enough trio of retro looking top down horror games, all of which were produced by developers Stranga. My Big Sister was the pick of the three but Red Bow was my least favourite. They play very similarly with an RPG adventure style. Just Ignore Them plays more like a point & click game but with a similar trippy horror style to the other two. One element all three games have in common is the use of visual novel style text boxes that move the story along. Next up for me are some Wales Interactive FMV games ?
Popular Post Undead Wolf
Its been a couple of months since I last posted in here. It's because I played a couple of games with no plat and then I moved onto the time-consuming games that are Persona 3 Portable and Monster Hunter Rise. Glad to say that I've knocked out one of those now and the other shouldn't be far behind. ? #441 - Persona 3 Portable The Answer to Life Earn all trophies. I'm so glad this game finally got a release on modern PlayStation consoles. I know some people were disappointed that we got Portable instead of FES, but if it had to be one or the other, I'm glad Portable was chosen. I say this as someone who's played both versions in the past on PS3 and Vita. It can't be understated how much the quality of life improvements of Portable improve the experience. Stuff like quick travel, being able to continue directly on from the last floor in Tartarus you explored, changes to the fatigue status to make it less annoying, etc. The list goes on. Perhaps the biggest improvement though comes from being able to directly control your teammates actions. That alone makes the gameplay experience much more enjoyable. No more having to deal with your teammates doing something retarded. ? I also think that the FeMC route is an excellent addition to the game and gives it that extra replayability. She has a very different personality from the male main character which you can see in the dialogue options, plus she has a bunch of new social links. Best part is being able to make her a shotacon by romancing Ken of course. ? Oh, and equipping the battle panties outfit on her is simply divine. ??I also love the new music you hear during her route, with that battle theme being especially ?. That's not to say that Portable is better than FES across the board though because there were some sacrifices to get it on the PSP. The biggest change is the move to a more visual novel style compared to the 3D environments on FES. Instead of being able to physically move around the city, instead, you move a cursor around an image. It makes things much faster, but you do lose that sense of exploration. The cutscenes are also a big step down in Portable. For starters, the anime cutscenes from FES are all gone, but the more significant change is having to rely on text and portraits for the regular cutscenes/character interactions. A lot of the subtle details are lost not being able to see the character models move around. The example that comes to mind for me is when you sneak into the school at night with the other S.E.E.S. members. You're alone with Yukari at one point (best girl btw ?) and she gets freaked out and hides behind the main character before getting flustered and moving away. It's really cute. But in Portable, all that is lost in translation to the visual novel style. They do their best with the cutscenes in Portable, adding in little effects so it's not just a static image, but there's only so much they can do. Portable is also missing The Answer from FES which is a campaign that takes place after the main story. Honestly though, that's not much of a loss because it's a big slog for not much reward in terms of story content. I never got through that myself back when I played FES, opting instead to just watch the story scenes on YouTube. It's more difficult than the main game and that's just made extra frustrating with no direct commands for your teammates. The Answer also does some controversial things with some of the characters like Yukari that I'm not a fan of. So overall I would say that I prefer playing Portable over FES because of the improved gameplay experience, but FES is still very much worth playing for the better way in which the story/character interactions are presented. The changes to the cutscenes and what not in Portable don't bother me quite so much because I know what they're supposed to look like from my experience playing FES. Makes it easier to fill in the blanks. For the best Persona 3 experience, you should do your first playthrough in FES, and then move onto the FeMC route in Portable. That way you get the best of both worlds. But anyway, I suppose I should actually talk about my platinum experience now. ? P3P's trophy list is more like P4G/original P5's trophy list than it is P5R's. By that I mean you're required to do all the stuff you would expect like maxing all social links, completing the Persona Compendium, defeating the game's super bosses, and beating the game twice (once with each main character). It's a very time-consuming plat. It took me over 100 hours when all is said and done, but I loved every minute of it (well except maybe doing the Elizabeth fight but I'll get onto that ?). The only difficult parts of the platinum are the fights against Elizabeth and Margaret. They require tons of prep work levelling up to 99, getting all the best gear, and getting at least 1 Persona with some great skills. The Margaret boss fight was added in Portable and is the easier one of the two since you can bring in a full team and you don't need the Infinity/Armageddon items to beat it. I beat that one on my first try, mostly by just spamming mind charged almighty attacks. ? The Elizabeth fight on the other hand is a real pain in the ass. First of all, you need the previously mentioned Infinity/Armageddon items. You can get them easily enough from the Vision Quest stuff, but I kind of screwed myself when it comes to the Armageddon items because you only get that reward for beating the boss once, and I had already done that in my first playthough (items don't carry over to NG+). So I had to get it the hard way by grinding a bunch. Probably added like 5+ hours to the plat time, but no big deal I guess. The reason why you need these items is that every 8 turns, Elizabeth with do two attacks in a row that deal 9999 damage which will kill you unless you use Infinity (blocks all damage). You only get 10 of these from Vision Quest, so you only have a limited amount of time to finish her off. Armageddon is required because it does 9999 damage to Elizabeth and it's the only way to kill her because she'll just heal as soon as she goes below 10,000 health (she has 20,000 in total). To actually finish her off, you need to be extremely lucky. You can't attack her to get her below 10,000 health because she'll just immediately heal to full, so what you need to do is whip out a calculator (yes really) and subtract all the damage you do to her until she's just above that 10,000 threshold. At that point you need stop attacking and just rely on your Persona's ability to counter physical attacks. Elizabeth attacks twice a turn, sometimes with magic, and other times with physical attacks. You need her to not only attack on her 2nd move of that turn (to stop her healing right afterwards), but also hope that your counter move actually triggers and she takes damage. What makes this all the more nerve-racking is that because I didn't have the ideal Persona for this fight, I had to play a lot more defensively, so by the time I got her down to just above 10,000 HP, I would be almost out of Infinity items. So yeah, at that point, I just had to hope that all the stars would align and she would attack with magic/land a physical hit as her first move, and then attack physically for her second move but it gets countered before I ran out of chances. This took hours of attempts, but I eventually got it done. I was pretty relieved. ? But yeah, if I decide to stack this game in the future (which I probably will), I'll know how to tackle it better next time and make it easier on myself. It feels good to finally have the platinum for one of my all-time favourite games. ? Not sure when I'll get around to playing the PS4 version of Persona 4 Golden. I'm not as desperate to play it given how I've gotten the plat for that twice on Vita. ? One day though! #442 - Save Room Heh heh heh... Thank you! Get all other trophies As you can probably tell by the plat title/image, this game is one big RE4 reference. You know the inventory management in that game? Well yeah, someone decided to make a whole puzzle game based around that. I thought it was a really neat concept, so I had to give it a go. There are 40 levels in total, although finishing the last level isn't required for the platinum for some reason. You gradually get introduced to new mechanics as you progress like reloading weapons, combining herbs, and crafting ammo. All familiar stuff for RE fans. So yeah, it's not just having to rotate items to get them to fit like a game of Tetris, but you also have to consider what order you do things like using healing items and such to maximise the amount of inventory space you have to play around with afterwards. I did pretty much everything without looking up the solutions, although I did need some help on the level where they introduce the rotten fish because I didn't realise you could eat that to lower your health. ? But yeah, this game doesn't take long to get through, but that's fine since any longer and it would have started to outstay its welcome. It was worth the couple of quid I spent on it.
Popular Post Ceridane
Bloodborne #46 and and trophy #2000 Enjoyment 9/10 Difficulty 6/10 Time for 100% 35 hours Fromsoftware makes the most addictive games without any doubts. Once you start one you can't stop until you get all the trophies. Bloodborne was the last Soulsborn game I was missing on my profile and I would say this one ranks in one of my top favorites for sure. The Chalice dungeons were a bit tedious and repetitive but other than that the game is a masterpiece. The DLC was amazing too and the trophy list was pretty fun overall.
Popular Post Master_Mayhem_
Everybody’s golf vr #420 Enjoyment 7/10 Difficulty 6/10 Time for 100% 16 hours Enjoyable game. Takes a bit to get use to the swing of the clubs but once you do it isn’t too difficult. The dreaded hole in one trophy is only really hard trophy as you can’t select individual par 3 holes. Game needs a bit more variety as there is only three courses and no competitions to take part in as it’s just you and your, sometimes annoying caddie. Popular Post crash_goose
#7 - Job Simulator (PS5) Short but sweet game for the PSVR2 that was a free upgrade from PSVR. Enjoyed my time with it. #8 - Stray (PS5) Great game, managed to do the speedrun and collectibles in the same run for a 1 playthrough plat (I've played this game before on another account so wasn't worried about missing out on the story by playing it this way) #9 and 500th Trophy - Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Super proud of this one! A couple of those oxide times are pretty tough but I found them super enjoyable to grind for as I'm a big fan of time trials and improving lap times in racing games. The hard mode was a pain especially since I did it before the oxide times so I wasnt that quick at the game yet, and the ai spamming me with powerups was frustrating, in heinsight I'd save the hard mode trophy for the end of the plat run. Regardless, super fun game, super proud plat, and awesome to have the plat as my 500th trophy! Now I have to figure out what game to do for my 10th plat.

Popular Post Parker
Titanfall 2 #23 Mark of the Advocate - Earned all trophies. What a fantastic game and enjoyable platinum. ...Becomes the Master is a pretty difficult trophy to earn, but once that is done, the Master difficulty campaign playthrough isn't that difficult, and the campaign is a blast to play. I'd really love to see a Titanfall 3, but it appears EA doesn't want that to happen as Respawn seem to be printing money with Apex Legends. I'd love to be wrong, though. Popular Post Leon Castle
#242 Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters 9th Mar 2023 An "orthodox spin-off" of Neptunia and sequel to Megadimension Neptunia VII so unlike the other spin-offs it's set in Hyperdimension. Quote This game follows Nepgear and the Goddess Candidates waking up to a Gamindustri two years after the Trendi Outbreaks terrorized the four nations. Also the Deity of Sin Arwhateverhernameis(well Neptune is always butchering the hag's name so why don't I do it too) from mk2/Re;Birth2 is back from the dead and for some reason looks the Arwhateverhernameis from Megadimension Neptunia VII. The gameplay went from Turn-based to Action. Besides RNG in getting B titles and AAA titles in Disc Development, it was easy once you get a hang of the gameplay and always go for best gear for your prefered Goddesses, for me it was Noire,Uni and Nepgear. Due to how the true ending* has one more boss that you can only use Nepgear for, Nepgear must have the best gear and max level-80 LV. *As I was trying to get bad ending(to 100% Still/CG and Movie list) I got true ending instead as my shares went over 30 after the final boss. So True Ending is not 50/50 it's 30-50/70-50 while normal ending is 60-100/40-0.

Popular Post Thrillhelm
#2905 Task Force Delta - Afghanistan (PS4 Disc version) Shoot like its 2002 - Task Force Delta is an uninspired mess and makes awful shooters like Soldier of Fortune 2 or Heavy Fire look like a CoD game (from the PS3 era). You have five missions and plenty of health, and then you have to walk through five levels taking place in title-giving Afghanistan, doing the most boring missions and fighting the dumbest AI in existence: walk from A to B and back again, and shoot the player once he is too close - or you stay far away and you pop them from a safe position. Graphics are impressive for a PS2 game, soundtrack is mind-numbingly annoying. Think of the infamous Night of Bush Capturing game, switch teams, and you get Task Force Delta - Afghanistan. Hardly a good advertisement for the US army. Got the game for 5 Euros, you do not get the PS5 version for free (15 Euros in PSN store as of now), for a fiver it's a good laugh, like time travelling back to where modern army movies were popular, everyone else spare your eyes from that atrocity.
Popular Post PotrikBerger
Final Fantasy XV (PS4) Anticipation 2/5 Not that high. I’m not a final fantasy player, only having ever played one game proper in the series prior to this. Although I’ve always been interested in the series from afar, I’ve never really taken to them. I played the FF7 remake and didn’t enjoy that at all, found it a drawn-out, tiresome slog to get through and couldn’t wait for it to be finished. It’s like I want to like the games but never really manage to vibe with them properly. Played this in between waiting for Hogwarts Legacy to get a patch and delaying starting atomic heart until it’s less of a buggy mess. Enjoyment 3/5 Liked this way, way more than FF7 remake, although still found it very hard to settle into the twee characters, with their twee lines and lazy stereotypical traits like the smart one wears glasses etc. I’ve learnt from this site whilst playing the game that FFXV is generally thought of as one of the worst in the series by fans....so I guess this shows you how little I know about judging FF games. But I much preferred the open world aspect to this one and not having to deal with fussy, detailed fight mechanics like I did in the previous FF game I played. Retrospect 2/5 It was ok. I personally would have enjoyed it a lot more with some decent characters and a script with voice acting that was more akin to my tastes. Needing to walk everywhere was the biggest pain in terms of trophies, but otherwise a really simple plat. You could do worse.
