Popular Post Boomshanks
( 88) CASTLE CRASHERS REMASTERED TROPHY CRASHERS Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time for another great game when played with friends. Castle Crashers is a 2D side scrolling hack and slash game that can be played with up to four people. I completed the game on PS3 with two friends but unfortunately that game didn´t have a platinum. The Remaster on PS4 does, so when two others friends asked me to play that I was all for it. Castle Crashers is a simple game but I like both the design and the gameplay. You have standard attacks, magic and a bow. The levels are pretty varied and offer up some fun bosses, though some can be annoying as hell. Unfortunately, the enemies all function pretty much the same and don’t have much variety aside from different skins. My preferred playstyle was using a lot of magic and somehow that made me level up much faster than the others . We finished the game in a few hours and then got the platinum in just a few more. This time around, there is no trophy for completing the game in Insane mode, so one playthrough was enough. There are some fun miscellaneous trophies which can be gotten pretty quickly and there is a small grind with the 40 Arena matches wins and getting all of the animal orbs. Though there are a large number of characters to unlock, they really don’t offer up much variety and are thankfully not required for the platinum. Castle Crashers is a short and sweet game to complete. The only truly different game mode is Back off Barbarian which can actually be quite difficult. We had a lot of fun going for this one as it becomes complete mayhem the further you go. Eventually we got lucky in getting the required time without using the water glitch. All in all, I think I had more fun with the game than my friends. Most levels are fun to go through, though there are some, like the desert, than can be very annoying ⚰️. The humor in the game is still great though and the gameplay is solid so going through the game again was a good experience.
Popular Post Darghel
#178: Platinum sky (Granblue Fantasy: Versus) Difficulty: RPG mode had some difficulty problems, but overall nothing impossible Time to Complete: Around 23 hours Recommended: on discount yes, otherwise probably not Total score: 8/10 Full disclosure: I'm not a fan of the original mobile game - my sister is, she played quite a lot of itt - and so my experience is only related to this game. With that said, man, I always wanted to play this game when it was released! I love cel-shading graphics and while I'm not a fan of GG I always wanted to try this one, especially because I do like the esthetics of GBF - especially when I keep comparing it to the FFXIV races, another game I used to play. Anyway, it was only thanks to psn+ I got the game, since the game was too expensive, dlc was too expensive, and the game basically died really quick. For as much as I liked this game and everything I'm not a fighting games fan, I'm a very casual player and playing these types of games will make you go against people who can chain combo you to death without even letting you touch the floor (real story, happened in Skull Girls and Soul Calibur 6!). So I only play very briefly, try something new, and then quit. But being able to finally play it is great, and the more I played it the more I felt sad it didn't take off because I think it's a very good game for casuals too. But I digress now. The game itself is overall fine, the problem was one trophy, now being fixed. Still...the game really lacks a lot of stuff: arcade mode is very poor and it's amazing how only SC3 managed to make one of the best story modes in fighting games ever (seriously, Soul Calibur 3 story mode is perfection, I don't think I've seen anything as good as that). Well if you want more story, there's the properly-named RPG mode which has a unique story - at least according to my sister - that leads you through several missions until the end...which oddly enough chooses just to revert everything as if it never happened... So a unique story made for an official game can't be properly canon and had to be retconned at the end... but crossovers from anime or games including Persona 5, Idolmaster, One piece and even Conan Edogawa is fine (not joking, look it up!). Makes sense to me! Anyway back to the trophies: one trophy was the bane of this game and that was Granblue Know-it-all because it required to have all the glossary, and the only way to obtain it was to obtain also all the DLC. The DLC is super expensive, and it's on par with SSBU, but unlike that game, it's not well known so I don't think anyone would go that far unless they REALLY liked the game - and even discounted it's still a solid 50 bucks. I really liked the game but I don't regret not purchasing it, especially for being casual. I did want the dlc though, just not at that price! And lastly, RPG mode Hard mode is a pain in the butt: normal mode was overall easy, and kind of okay, but hard mode is when the stuff hurts and bosses were starting to really be annoying. Bahamut on hard mode was probably one of the hardest fights in the game and it took me an hour of attempts before I got it down. It wouldn't be so bad if the overall rpg mode combat was more fun, using a system similar to the original's game grid, which means using several weapons of the same type to boost your power. The issue is that either you grind the right weapons or draw them! But unlike the original game, you don't spend money - nor get additional characters. Too bad! Bottom line, rpg mode is...a wasted potential. could've been fun, and I'm sure the Tower of Babyl could've added another couple of hours of content, but it's overall short and really kind of pointless once you finish your first time - or got your trophies. It's not as bad as SC4 story mode but still wished for a little more - did I mention SC3 had a full fledged tactical campaign with over 20 chapters? Okay okay I stop! So do I recommend this one? If you got it already, or haven't finished because of the dlc trophy, this might be a good chance to get it. Otherwise I'm not sure since there's a new version coming, called rising, and focus might shift on that soon. It's a really fun game though but as it is, the game really doesn't get much attention and there are a few online trophies you must do before continuing. Maybe boosting could work Was a fun ride, just wished it had more. As for rising...meh, maybe I'll take a look. Or maybe I'll wait a sale in 10 years. Popular Post Juzota
#168 - Dead Cells Platinum Unlock all trophies Another day, another Plat yay! To be honest, this Platinum would be unobtainable for me without all the assists available. It's still quite challenging, but assists makes this much less frustrating experience. So yes, if you had this Platinum back in the days you're better gamer than me. Great game nonetheless. I still have some dlc stuff to do and I'm happy to play this some more. Popular Post da-Noob123
After 8 and half years, having sat at 7/37 trophies ever since my brother put this game on my profile, I platinumed Rayman Origins. It was tough week putting my nose the grindstone for time trials amongst other things. My thumb is sore but I slew the beast. Compared to Crash Bandicoot, it was the easier of the 2. Mecha no Mistake though, I place that between The High Road and Stormy Ascent - I was definitely raging at it a few times. Despite my suffering though I did enjoy it, much more than Crash but my platformer quota is good for the next decade. ?
Popular Post MidnightDragon
#96 Wonder Boy Collection A fun little retro collection. It includes Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy in Monster World, and Monster World IV. Sadly, this isn't the collection with multiple versions of each (though I do have that one ready for PS5), but it's still quite enjoyable. For the first Wonder Boy in particular, rewind is a godsend. Also good you can save state wherever you wish. All four games are enjoyable, though found the first one to be the least. If you played the other three on PS3, you know what you're getting into here. I do think it's a tad overpriced for what it is, but it would be good in a sale. Definitely had fun. Popular Post Burritoprime
-Platinum 241 - Odin Sphere Leifthrasir - Odin Sphere - I played the original Odin Sphere many years ago on PS2, I remember liking it a lot but not much else so playing this version the story still felt fresh, I'll just be straightforward, I absolutely loved this game, from the story, to the characters the beautiful soundtrack, everything, the story is a bit different than most RPGs as it spans across 5 characters showing different sides of the same story as they try to avoid their inevitable cruel fate that was predicted eons passed in a prophecy, all that while dealing with their own feelings, hardships and a war, the characters are all interesting and I loved all of them, gonna stop here to avoid spoilers, the gameplay is a 2D hack and slash that is really well done, all characters are very unique in their fighting style so every time I had to jump characters it was always interesting, I finished the game with double the time it was suggested mainly because I trained almost every character, like I mentioned I loved all characters but gameplay wise two were my favorites, the first is Oswald the Shadow Knight who controls darkness In a flame like way and can turn into a shadow beast and Velvet the mysterious chain wielding dancer, Oswald can control dark flames and is really fast, he can call forth 2 intertwining shadow dragons just like Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho...not to mention that he has white hair and is super edgy just like Riku from Kingdom Hearts, my 13 old self can't resist edgy characters, Velvet on the other hand is just broken, once you unlock certain abilities you can stun lock bosses and enemies forever while burning them to cinders, she started rather weak but by the end she was unstoppable, the graphics are really well done, in typical Vanillaware style it's all drawn by hand it felt like I was playing a fantasy book, the characters are really well animated, the spells and skills are also very flashy and cool, the soundtrack is also amazing it fits the game and locations perfectly, trophy wise the game is really simple as nothing is missable, you can enjoy the story and then get everything, the guide here is really well done and helped wonders, Odin Sphere is a game that I super recommend to anyone who is a fan of 2D RPGs, it's a fantastic and emotional journey that's is memorable beginning to end. Popular Post Carol
#232 Astro’s Playroom You’ve Only Done Everything Found all trophies in ASTRO's PLAYROOM. See you in our next adventure! I got my PS5 a week ago and, like most people, “Astro’s Playroom” was the first game I played on my new console and also my first PS5 platinum. I was excited to try this game, especially because of how it used the Dualsense, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This is a very fun and colorful game, with a fantastic integration of the Dualsense. It’s truly amazing what this controller can do and how it can make you “feel” the game! I had a blast with this game and I hope there will be more games like this on the PS5. This is truly what gaming should be!
Popular Post slender_adrian
#117 Difficulty: 3/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Grind: 4/10 Time: 29 Hours Rarity: [Very Rare 10.8% / Uncommon 34.45%] "But stay tuned for more baseless speculation and crackpot theories on: "Behind the Hero"." Rachet & Clank 2 really improved the first game, being honest this game set the bases of how a good R&C game should be. There is a lot of content in this game compared to the first game, levels are huge and highly detailed and they aren't few, also they are different from each other so they don't feel repetitive. The story or plot was good to, very old school haha with the "secure the stolen animal experiment which is the most dangerous thing in the galaxy plot". It's also very funny and absurd which I love, I played this game on Spanish since that's the way I played them since I was a kid and I can't really played it on English for the story, and I laughed with a lot of the jokes in this game. The gameplay was improved immensely, the gameplay we all know from the modern R&C games comes from here. They added the lateral movement, the weapon scailing, and the nanotech leveling, all are in this game, and this included the lock on which is pretty good and awesome. But some of the problems 1 had are still present here, for example the checkpoint system, I wouldn't complain about it, but Ratchet and Clank 2 has some a lot of cheap stuff, normal enemies with guns are akin to literal machine guns that don't stop firing, and at some point you'll die and this checkpoint are so far away you'll have to do some areas pretty much again, and for me this game has a difficulty spike right in the middle of the story. The way to make it easier is doing side stuff to buy some good armor but meh, better grind for TAUN 2 and everything'll die in one shot hehehe. Now seriously this game is quite challenging for a R&C, so move carefully! The platinum for this game is quite varied, I thought after looking at the guide here on PSNP that the plat would be pretty much effortless, but after playing the game I realize I would take effort and more time than I had expected, is not like hard in particular, nor a effortless plat, I had to do a lot of stuff for this game even griding for bolts. The guide says this is a 15 hours plat, which I highly disagree. Despite that, trophies are pretty easy, some are very tedious like collecting the crystals in the desert level and the snow level, or collecting basically everything, plat bolts, upgrades, objects, but this is pretty much a R&C staple for me, I have the same complain in every other game, it's just how this game works. What made me give this game a 6/10 was that I had to do 3 times the crystal collecting in the snow level because of a stupid glitch and the 2nd reason being that this game has a glitch were, depending on the game mood, it can erase all of your bolts and this happened to me when I had 1,000,000 bolts. This only happens in challenge mode, and it can be easily fix if your game didn't auto save, but it wasn't my case, anyhow I still had to do the impossible challenge again to get 2,000,000 bolts for my remaining weapons, so heads up, spend your bolts while you can. I recommend this game to anyone looking to play a PS2 tittle which has a nice gameplay, characters, humor and a nice challenge.
