Popular Post DrunkenEngineer
Platinum #47 + DLC 100% - Alan Wake: Remastered (August 24, 2023) Trophy Statistics The Good Signature Remedy, through and through The Bad Collectibles are virtually impossible to track and there are a lot of them Gameplay that just can't figure out what it wants to be Alan Wake is what you get when you give Sam Lake a bottle of absinthe and lock him in a room with a typewriter, a stack of Stephen King novels, and Twin Peaks on repeat in the background. The influences are so obvious it could be eye rolling, but so obscure (especially for early 2010's gaming) that I can't help but smile. As for the gameplay - it's a bit of a mixed bag. We have a third person action game set up in an episodic format with a heavy emphasis on internal narration, mediocre shooting, and some incredibly frustrating platforming in the DLCs. Counterbalancing this are moody, high production graphics and set pieces, and signature Remedy ooze. Even the background characters are all relatively fleshed out and unique, and several have direct Twin Peaks analogs (hello Log/Lamp Lady!). One real positive thing to note is Remedy learns. Every subsequent release iterates on the failings of the previous title. Quantum Break cooled it on the collectibles, but still maintained mediocre 3rd person gameplay. Control solved the gameplay issue, while retaining the batshit insane stories and core trappings that make all their earlier releases so enticing. This is by far the most polarizing of their games I've played, and the trophy journey doesn't help out it's reputation. By all accounts Alan Wake 2 should continue this trajectory and be Remedy's best game yet.
Popular Post shadaik
Lydia Lydia - Carry on, Lydia This one came highly recommended, which is rare for a game with a more than 90% plat that is not a visual novel. This is mainly because of the background of the game. Lydia is a point-and-click adventure made in collaboration with Fragile Childhood, a Finnish non-profit helping children of addicted parents (mostly alcoholic parents) known for their campaigns applying brutal honesty and creative means of illustration. The game is autobiographic and all that commands a certain respect. Yet, it's also a fair question to ask whether the game is good or not. To be clear, good does not need to mean fun. In fact, it would be at odds with this game's purpose to be fun. This is a depressing sequence of events throughout the protagonist Lydia's life and that is the right approach to the topic. Kinda like Actual Sunlight, a somewhat obscure Vita game about living with depression. Some topics are just meant to be somber and that is clearly not for everyone. And it being just under 1 hour is probably a good idea, too, a sthis mood should not be kept up for too long if one can avoid it. Is it a well-told story, then? Sadly, there are issues. The main one is that the whole thing is disjointed. There is an attempt at connecting the parts through dreams and frame them as visions of a child's future, but they are a bit too fragmented. It got the impression from her first appearance that the issue is less substance abuse (though that is prevalent) and more the mother just being a terrible person. Which might have been the point, I'm not sure, all in all it's more about parental neglect and mental abuse then what it claims to be about. Still important topics, but if they aren't well-told, they aren't well-told. Though it should be appropriately horrifying to anybody who might be in the shoes of those parents. The topic and the courage in relating it to events from the creator's own life are to be commended. I should also note money from purchases goes into said non-profit and it seems to be a really good one. But I can't let that change my honest opinion that in the end, it's not a good game. Popular Post Infected Elite
Platinum #209: Life is Strange True Colors (PS5) difficulty: 1/10 enjoyment: 8.5/10 recommendation: yes After recently finishing 2, i was dreading more Life is Strange. However i was very much into this game. Didn't care much for Ethan but the story was fine. The world building was small and worked because it felt tighter. Everybody had a role. Alex is a very likeable character compared to other games and seemed to have a clear direction the entire time. It wasn't just random events thrown together. I do suspect we have seen the last of the Life is Strange IP though and if this is how it goes out, it went out on a high note.
Popular Post AgentSmiz
Platinum 180 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Genuinely a really fun multiplayer title. Perfect couch co-op/party game. Real love letter to both side scollers and the 870's TMNT show. Trophy list is mostly simple but there are a couple of grindy and tricky ones but nothing that can't be worked around. Normally, I'd say more about the platinums I get but I'm not for two reasons. 1) I'm annoyed that I didn't have the foresight to make plat 180 a Darts game and 2) the trophy screenshot was me getting level 10 with all characters and the last one I had to do was, in my opinion, the worst ninja turtle - Michelangelo. So he's immortalized in the final trophy screenshot. Yeah, I said what I said because I'm right. He's the worst.

Popular Post RebelsHeart
Platinum #128 - Red Dead Redemption (PS4) Difficulty: 4/10 Fun: 8/10 Man, what a game! I can't believe it took me so long to finally play this gem! And it didn't disappoint at all. Thanks to it being ported I could finally start my journey and god, I enjoyed it so much. The story is amazingly written. It had it's happy moments, and was yet (mostly) very heartbreaking. Undead Nightmare DLC is something I also have never experienced before and it was a breath of fresh air. It was hilarious and felt a tad bit smoother than the base game did. Though I did have some glitches that made me feel aggitated at times. For example, the Undead Hunter rank 3 glitch is still present, which was to be expected. But god, is was it incredibly annoying to deal with. I had to spend hours trying to get the game to register the rank as completed. I tried to get a 5000 dollar bounty in Blackwater, got super close and managed to get shot to death by a random sherrif that managed to hit me through a wall. Had to redo the entire thing again. There were also minor glitches that made me laugh, like the undead skins not loading properly, so it looked like citizens would run after you weirdly. Having pianist suddenly stand up on their chairs when walking past them. Other than that, I geniunely enjoyed the game and the grind. I might even attempt the RDR2 plat at some point. But for now, it's time to get over the Red Dead Depression and play something different!

Popular Post grimydawg___
Street Fighter 6 152 Finally got this platinum after three months. Despite the hiccups on the tournament trophies and me not caring about world tour mode, I really enjoy Street Fighter 6. I find it much more enjoyable to play than SFV. It's still not better than Alpha 2, but it's a good Street Fighter. Hopefully, in the future Makoto will be added. I'm going to try and get either NFS Unbound or Borderlands 3 done before NBA 2K24 comes out, but that likely won't happen. Popular Post Viper
#325 Wreckfest (PS5) Master of Crashes Keeping up with my Holiday Plat routine for this year, Labor Day in the bag. This was honestly a lot of fun, probably the most fun I've had in a racing game in a long time. As much as I love this genre, I feel like somewhere along the lines, even Arcade racers started to take themselves far too seriously, and I really tout Gen 6 and the PS2 as the true heyday of Arcade Racers when they were at their absolute peak. And this...kinda...feels like we're back to that. If you ever played the FlatOut series on PS2, this is made by the same developers...so the name of the game here is pure destruction and just having fun with it. Anything from typical races, to Destruction Derby's are here, and you can even get wacky with it where you drive around in a motorized couch! Or set up a Destruction Derby where you play as a Big Rig truck against a bunch of Lawnmowers. Or you try to survive as the Lawnmower against a bunch of School Buses (good luck with that!). The AI in this game is really stupid...BUT it's not to the detriment on the game. They're sole focus is to take each other out...so a lot of races start with the AI bottlenecking a turn and it's just pure chaos, a pile of cars and sheet metal everywhere. So you learn early on to just let them be idiots and kill each other as you drive around them. Which to another point, you're not going to find destruction like this in any other racer...cars will literally just disintegrate...you actually look forward to the destruction. The meat of the game is career mode, but this is the area I feel like, with a lot other modern racers, suffers from a lack of creativity. I feel like racing game devs just want you to go into their game, and just play it...but they feel like they need a career mode so they tack on something that doesn't have much to it. It's just a series of events that you can play at random, and you just complete them, once you rack up enough points you win the Championship, and there's 5 of those to complete with increasing point values. But the thing is, you don't even always have to win (unless the race states otherwise), you just need to complete it and you'll get the points for it. The only things you HAVE to win for a Trophy is the events labeled as Challenges...but they're no more difficult than anything else. But that's really it...there's no story here, no pageantry of any kind, just race, gets points, finished, AND you don't even have to do all of the events...and event will tell you how many points it gives you and you just do what you want to get to the Championship total. I really wish devs would actually do something here, make it feel like an actual grand event with some cutscenes and what not. Trophy wise, nothing is difficult unless you're playing on higher difficulties but even then, the AI still tries to murder each other so it can sometimes just be a matter of you waiting them out so you're the only one left. The only races I found to be a little difficult were the tracks that were designed to intersect (like a figure eight) so that you're driving right into oncoming traffic...it's only because I felt like it was perfectly timed so that I WAS going to get hit, and in these races if you crash completely it's a DNF...and I went for actually winning almost everything. Other than that it still just took a few retries. There are some really cool tracks here though, such as one with a big 360 loop and a lot of jumps, or ones where it's a straight line and you're just driving down and looping back, and the point is to not hit anyone coming in the opposite direction (who mostly try and hit you). There is one Online trophy for winning 20 races, but this is very easily boosted and takes like 10 minutes. And even getting to Level 50 isn't bad at all, as there's a method posted on PSNP that nets you a ton of XP. By the time I finished Career I was level 36...and using that method got me to 50 in about 20 minutes. Overall, this was a blast to play and I wish I played it sooner. I did buy the two Seasons Passes for it at one point when they were on sale...not sure I should have even bothered, they're just cars that you could probably live without. I would hope the devs consider a Wreckfest 2...I think there's a place in this genre for a game of this ilk that we're sorely missing. The only thing missing from FlatOut that I'd love to see return are those mini games where you could launch your driver through rings of fire and whatnot...if they expanded on that, it could make for some wild moments.
Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #308 Dodgeball Academia Platinum Student Get all other trophies. This was a fun surprise. Never heard of it. Saw the logo on the PS Store, intrigued me, looked at the game itself and it looked cool, and it was included in the PS Catalog. Very much enjoyed it. My only criticism is that some battles are way to chaotic. I beat the main game remaining at default intended settings, but I did use the difficulty slider to by pass a few things. (take no damage/do more damage); The underground tournament, the defense and attack challenges. I did 2/3 of the dodge one normally. I got close on the 3rd but didn’t feel like doing it again lol. the underground tournament was a prime example of the visual noise issue. Those battles don’t have sides on the court. So the enemies go anywhere. The forest had some tall grass courts which add a lack of visibility. Which was actually cool. It made you slow down and focus on dodging vs catching. The art design is mostly good, but I would’ve liked the generic NPCs to be a bit more interesting. The more unique ones all look great. It’s well animated. I actually love how knocked out characters still earn XP since it lets you use the other party members more instead of healing with items or going back to heal. Each character has their own quirks and abilities. afaik any trophy glitches have been fixed and I had no issues with any of them. Hope it gets a sequel because it’s set up for one. I found the game’s story pretty amusing. If they do, I hope they expand on the platforming elements because by the end you get one area where jumping and rolling and jumping matter for progress and you can fall and lose progress. A setup more like Super Mario RPG would be perfect in terms of level design. Majority of the game is just running back and forth mostly flat ground. I’ve played a lot of awesome games this year. Popular Post DeidaraSasori
#109 - Dragon Ball Xenoverse PS3 Personal Difficulty 4/10 Estimated time to plat: 80-100h (highly RNG dependant) This was a weird one. The game itself is definitly up there in terms of quality and mechanics but I have to say it has the worst hit registration of all the fighting games Ive played. Because of this the only viable strategy to do all missions is ultimate spam which is super brain dead making the grind really boring. Add the rng on top of that to get all skills and its a nightmare. Ofc theres a DLC that costs 10$ that improves RNG but even that has a certain chance not to activate at all. A lot of wasted potential on this one imo, now I will plat the PS4 version which unfornately doesnt have auto-pop so gotta grind all over again 😅but at least when I finish that I can finally say I 100% all Dragon Ball games. Maybe the PS4 version will at least be smoother.

Popular Post GravityQueeen
# 176: 7th Sector This is totally a hidden gem, and I wouldn't have come across it if it weren't by my curiosity of scrolling games alphabetically in this site. 7th Sector is a beautiful indie game, sort of a platformer with well thought and not overly difficult puzzles. The gameplay is very unique: you start playing as small portion of eletricity, moving through cables, activating switches, panels, and must make your way through more and more elaborate puzzles and... Ok, I think from now on even gameplay information are spoilers! You need to play for yourself. The story is told by the environment and the HDs you download along the journey, and it is set in a cyberpunk alternate reality, a distopic world where a giant tower is key to the narrative. I kinda don't want to, but if I had to compare Noskov Sergey's masterpiece to another game, I could remotely find certain similarities and aspects regarding the superb art style in games from great indie studios like Playdead (Limbo, Inside) but, even then, 7th Sector can be so colorful and shiny at times, and presents a gameplay more arcade-type, too. Trophy-wise, it is easy and very fun, there are a few collectibles, some miscellaneous trophies and 4 different endings; if you don't destroy/solve any transfuser in the 1st playthrough, nothing is missable due to chapter select, but even if you had collected the transfusers and locked yourself of one or two endings, it wouldn't hurt doing an extra playthrough. The optimal way would be 1 full playthrough without collecting any transfusers + 3 partial ones for the remaining endings, but this is a game where not being optimal as a trophy hunter could be even more fun and rewarding. What a joy to experience: don't forget it, indie lovers. Edited September 4, 2023 by GravityQueeen

It wasn't just random events thrown together. If you are playing the ps4 version, the final cutscenes crash. So for me, having HDR off and console set to 720p, worked. Popular Post slender_adrian
#130 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Grind: 1/10 Time: 31 Hours Rarity: [Ultra Rare 2.2% / Rare 10.47%] "The name is Rebecca Chambers. But that's Officer Chambers to you." Resident Evil Zero... the origins of evil. This game is a prequel to the resident evil games and it tells the story of Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen before that Spencer mansion incident, and I have to say that I really liked this game. As for the story, was pretty good for understanding why everything happened in the first place but its just not enough. The story of this game lacks presence, the main antagonist could be more than what it's shown in the game. I saw a lot of people didn't liked this game and I can get why, hell this is the "zoo spooky" resident evil, and the whole throwing everything on the floor makes this game tedious your first time around, listen, backtracking is a common thing in resident evil games, but in this game the less you backtrack the better. In RE0 defense, this game is very easy on normal, and if you're familiar with re you'll have 0 problems beating it, get it? 0 problems... hahaha. Controlling 2 characters at the same time was a cool idea but in the end you'll end up only using Billy. This is not a bad game, is pretty good but this are the things that are off in my opinion. The game has very good locations, Rebecca and Billy are pretty good characters, wished they interacted more with each other, but I really liked them. As for the absurd, well this game is pretty serious for the most part, it has classic resident evil nonsense, but not at the level of other games like Re4 or Code Veronica. Long story short, I liked this game, should you play it? Yes. My 130th platinum trophy, ohhh boy where to start. My mental strength to continue this marathon after playing CV was drained. I really wanted to play and plat this 3 classics but CV was too much, so I didn't want to play anymore, at least for a while. I just didn't want to do another CV. I make sure I didn't stress with Zero, to my surprise this game trophies wasn't that bad, the only part that was a pain was Leech Hunter, besides that I really enjoyed doing the rest of the trophies. There are some misc trophies, nothing to worry about. This game has 2 extra modes, Leech Hunter and Wesker mode, Leech Hunter is a pain you have to kill all enemies in the map and collect 100 leeches, the mode itself is not hard, since you can play it on normal but common 100 leeches? Ok, once learned Leech Hunter it isn't that bad, just takes a lot of time, not a fan of this mode. Then there's Wesker mode, this is the main story but with Wesker as a playable character and infinite ammo, this is fun. There are the classic no sprays, no herbs, no save, s rank runs you'll have to make. This can be combined so there's nothing to worry about, since they are not hard to do at all, you unlock infinite ammo later so no big of a deal. For my S rank run I didn't save just for fun since I already beaten the game without saving and did the no heals too just because I was really enjoying this game. The finally thing was completing hard mode, after all the playthroughs of this game I made I was very confident about finishing the game on this difficulty, I grasped the controls, the enemy layout never changes between difficulties I pretty much knew what zombie was in what corner, and I have to say finishing the game on Hard was my favorite part of this plat, really enjoyed hard mode, I did it in one sitting and in the end I have some many heals that I had to left like 3 before the final boss. Really fun plat, this is a game that I really enjoyed playing for the most part. AFTER 9 RESIDENT EVIL GAMES, THE FINAL DESTINATION HAS ARRIVED! THE SPENCER MANSION! Popular Post JoaLoft
#319 - Kena: Bridge of Spirits Time for something more relaxing, like Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Or so I thought. Kena is a Spirit Guide, an expert in helping lingering spirits move on who are stuck between the physical and spiritual realms. She travels to a village lying at the foot of a mountain shrine where she is destined to head towards. Around the village itself she encounters spirits who are trapped and unable to move on due to unresolved incidents or traumas. As she helps these spirits, she learns more about what tragedy struck the village and what awaits at the top of the mountain. First of all, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a visually stunning game. If you didn't know any better, you'd say this is a fully interactive Pixar movie. The facial animations are beautifully animated, the colors are very vibrant and the environment has a magical feel to it. This could have easily been an animated feature. Presentation is of the same high level, you are fully immersed in the world of Kena in no time. Kena's staff does sometimes lack some necessary weight during whacks and swings in terms of audio, I do wish they made the strength of her rod a bit more obvious with fiercer sounds. The gameplay mainly consists of platforming and combat: the platforming in particular reminded me of Jak & Daxter with its floaty jumps, which is nothing short of a compliment. You'll be using your staff and your abilities to hit targets with your bow, make platforms float, reach secret areas and find meditation spots to increase your health, collect resources to unlock upgrades and passive perks, discover Charms to give you extra perks, find Spirit Mail to unlock new houses to explore and find hats to dress your Rot which can also be found in many different spots. The Rot are small black creatures who are pivotal to Kena's gameplay and story: they help remove obstacles in the open world of Kena: Bridge of Spirits and help in combat with advanced attacks, they help you heal by consuming specific flowers in combat encounters and are essential to purify the entire region from the poison which has tainted the lands. The combat is of a different level. If you were expecting Kena: Bridge of Spirits to have easy combat, you're mistaken. If you don't learn to parry, hit weak spots with arrows, dodge and use your Rot to stun enemies, you're in for a hard time. That is because Kena doesn't heal automatically during fights or use healing items, she relies completely on the very limited amount of one-use healing flowers (usually one or two, very rarely three) and the enemies have a huge damage output on normal difficulty even. It's definitely not insurmountable on the regular difficulty level, but you will most certainly need to pay attention during battles and especially boss fights. Combat does leave something to be desired on the higher difficulty levels, because of a few problems. Your dodge function can feel a bit clunky, as can the Dash function in combat. Parrying early leaves you vulnerable for a few seconds which exposes you to a lot of damage. In slow-motion I experienced that your aim with the bow sometimes tends to drift to an enemy as if it's glued to it, despite not locking on to it. And there's also no indicator for attacks from behind you, which would have been very helpful. Checkpoints are very forgiving, thankfully, and Fast travel points are also available so that you can easily warp from one place to another and go explore more to collect everything you may have missed. For a game that isn't full price, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is surprisingly long. If you are collecting everything, you'll be playing for at least 15 hours. A satisfying length for a relatively simple game about platforming and freeing spirits. Generally speaking, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a delightful game. It has plenty of charm and a high degree of cuteness, a beautiful mountainous region with different large areas to explore, challenging combat and options to customize Kena and her Rot and upgrade her abilities. Despite the combat issues listed below, I highly recommend this game and suggest you play this one at some point. Most frustrating trophy - Master Spirit Guide We do need to address one glaring omission. There is no easy way, so I'm just going to say it: Master Spirit Guide difficulty is a broken mess and an embarrassing poopstain on what is otherwise a great game. The most frustrating trophy in Kena: Bridge of Spirits - by far - is "Master Spirit Guide", which you get by, you guessed it, beating the game on Master Spirit Guide difficulty. The spike in difficulty degree is massive. Enemies will kill you with one or two hits, which is punishingly hard for a lot of players who will be taken by surprise because of the game's innocent looks. In New Game Plus situations get even worse, and many combat encounters feel like you're taking massive hurdles. This is because New Game Plus gives you everything you've unlocked before, but disproportionately raises the bar in these encounters. Battles consist of a mix of late-game enemy types and the amount of enemies increases too, sometimes to extreme proportions with multiple flying enemies and projectile-launching enemies raining down on you at the same time. Boss battles even have an extra phase thrown on top, sometimes having them heal half of their health bar! Combine this huge spike with the earlier mentioned clunky dodge function, the annoying auto-aim and the lack of an attack indicator from behind and you have a very frustrating mode which will make you want to stop playing altogether. This is the first game of Ember Lab, the developing studio, and although they nailed almost everything with Kena, they do not know how to craft a challenging yet satisfying Very Hard mode. Throwing more and harder types of enemies all at once at you does not equal to a proper challenge. There's a simple word for that: torture. Master Spirit Guide on New Game Plus slightly more manageable if you equip the "Bravery" Charm which highly increases the generation of your Courage (the resource which helps you perform Rot actions in combat) and even then it is still unreasonably crushing. There is a glitch which still works, to help you get this trophy without subjecting yourself to this unbalanced madness. It can be found on the relevant subforums and for once, as an exception, I recommend everyone to exploit the hell out of this glitch to unlock the trophy. I progressed over halfway on this difficulty setting, but once I hit another massive brick wall close to the Woodsmith (another big boss battle), I had enough. Master Spirit Guide difficulty is a disgraceful pile of unbalanced garbage, especially on New Game Plus. It is unfair, it does not test how well you mastered the mechanics. All it does, is throw groups of relentless deadly end-game adversaries at you in every single battle and attempt to break your spirit. Ironic, for a game about saving them. Well, in that case, allow me to don my Spirit Guide cloak and wield my magic staff: use the glitch, everyone. Don't waste your life energy or your valuable time on this vile and poorly designed difficulty filth. Enjoy the entire game on a regular difficulty because it is still definitely worth experiencing, use the glitch on Master Spirit Guide in your second run, and then move on to another game with a difficulty mode which will respect your time, you deserve that at the very least.
Popular Post Arzoden
-----PLATINUM #112 | The Darkness 2----- The Darkness 2 was a LOT of fun! I saw a playthrough of this when i was younger so playing it now was a real blast! The story is very good. As someone who likes dark/Evil/cold main characters this is a perfect fit for me Jackie is a mafia boss who is supressing a being called ''The Darkness'' He is heavily traumatized from loss and excessive past use of the darkness, second game covers him getting it back and him struggling with the control it has on him etc etc. The plot is quite good, and there are a few side activites and of course a few missable trophies. The Don difficulty ''Hardest difficulty'' is not all that hard, i did the whole new game+ Don campaign in around 4-5 Hours with around 15 deaths total, quite simple because of the healing your Darkness eat heart abillity gets you. There are 2 different endings, one very interesting and one less interesting. Or in a way a dark and ''Happy'' ending. The music was great, the power you feel was seductive and the gunplay was a little wonky but still satisfying, it's probs very good for a ps3 shooter idk.. All in all this game is filled with intense story, alright gunplay, choices that slighty and massively affect the story and cool music. Makes you really immersed as a mafia boss in a way I hope everyone who sees this post decides to play this and hopefully go for the platinum! Here Are My Ratings ----------------------- Enjoyment 8/10 Difficulty 4/10 Music 7/10 Story 10/10 Platinum Took Me Around 20 Hours Edited September 5, 2023 by Arzoden
Popular Post disaster500
#86 - Tales from the Borderlands - 50.72% Personal Difficulty - 1/10 Time Played - 9 hours All spoilers are in the spoiler tag (provided I didn't fuck up the formatting, never used one before). I'm a "gameplay > story" guy in video games. I play games almost entirely for the gameplay, and while I will watch cutscenes and follow the story, the story's only there to provide context for the gameplay in my eyes. I don't really watch TV or movies either, I'd much prefer to actually play something. Because of this, I dismissed the Telltale games, I assumed they wouldn't be for me, being all story and very little gameplay. However, I'm a fan of the Borderlands games, and having played and platted 4 of them (2, 3, TPS, Assault on Dragon Keep), I thought I'd give this one a shot. And I am very glad I did. I was expecting to kind of enjoy it, after all it's well-liked by fans and it seemed to have the typical Borderlands humour and absurdity, but damn. I really enjoyed this the whole way through, and by the end I was completely absorbed into the plot and characters. In a way it kind of opened my eyes to this narrative style of game. I don't think I'll play another Telltale game for now as I don't have much interest in any of the other IPs they've done games on, but I certainly won't dismiss them as I did before. It might be obvious but I highly recommend this if you're a fan of the Borderlands games. As it's a Telltale game there basically is no trophy list, you just beat the game and get the plat. Usually I dislike lazy trophy lists like that, but here it makes sense so you have the freedom to make whatever choices you want, and don't have to replay episodes for trophies. Anyway, here's more thoughts with spoilers: I'm impressed by how much your choices affect the rest of the game. In particular, getting to choose who to fight the Traveler, with your options being based off of your actions really surprised me, was definitely not expecting it to be that deep. I chose Athena, Springs, Cassius. I also had the choice of picking August. I shot Felix in Episode 1 after he betrayed Fiona and Sasha so I couldn't choose him, and I couldn't choose Zer0 or the mysterious VH either (who after googling, turns out to be Claptrap). This game also made me appreciate certain characters a lot more, notably Rhys and Athena. Rhys was alright in BL3, but in this game he was a great protagonist, and it was cool to see how he became the Atlas CEO. I haven't played Borderlands 1, but in the Pre-Sequel I didn't think much of Athena. She seemed like a generic stoic mercenary, with not much personality compared to her peers. Picking her seemed like picking Mario in Mario Kart. But in Tales, I don't know why, but she's just kinda epic. If I ever play TPS again I'll definitely pick her. And as for the new characters (technically Rhys was new but I played BL3 first so he doesn't count), most of them were pretty good, with Loader Bot in particular standing out, which is surprising to say the least. Popular Post Celestial_Lily
#135 Deathloop Enjoyment: 2/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Annoyance factor post story: 8.5/10 Time: 19hrs Deathloop. With it leaving the game catalogue, I thought hey now's the perfect time to procrastinate and start a whole new game and plat it before it leaves! (I know, genius idea) I knew vaguely about the whole time loop thing going in but I honestly did not like how it was in practice. I'm pretty smoothbrain with game mechanics myself - so this is entirely a me thing - but the general introduction of things, the quest/mission/investigation thing, leads and clues: allll too much for me. I had to use a guide to properly navigate the way, barely knew the layouts of the maps beyond vague general ideas where locations were (I so sorely wish there was a map! Please!!) and I died a looot. Thank gosh for the fact that accessibility settings don't disable trophies - the ability to die an unlimited amount vs only twice saved my sanity. I'm sure if you like super open maps with barely any hand holding and stuff you'd enjoy it! But it wasn't for me at all And a very quick complaint about the post story trophy cleanup. Some were so very, very annoying T_T I'm not sure how people figured out the A Charlie Montague Game trophy because even with a guide it was so tough! And unclear. Oh well, it's done now~ For the positives: The two song tracks with lyrics - Deja Vu and Pitch Black - are SO FREAKING GOOD oh my god I love them to bits. I've been listening to them constantly the past few days, they're honestly amazing and even without playing it I'd so recommend these songs just on their own merit as songs and not tied to Deathloop Anywho! That about sums up my Deathloop experience. I hope other people enjoyed it more than me! I fully accept that this game didn't click for me and that's totally okay. I'm glad it's over xDD Thank you for reading Lily's Post-Plat Thought Dump Review Something Idk 💖
