Popular Post Saltyie
After the controversial lead up to Assassin's Creed Unity, and it's wonky launch, Ubisoft have officially apologised. These aren't empty words it seems, as current game owners will be rewarded in a big way (read below). CEO Yannis Mallat said "I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team, These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential." "To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. For Season Pass holders, we will also offer the choice of one additional game from a selection of Ubisoft titles for free." You heard that right folks. AC Unity's major DLC, taking place years after the vanilla games conclusion, will be entirely free to owners of the game. Dead Kings includes an entirely new story and city, new enemy factions, a new rifle (Guillotine Rifle), and much more side content. What if you bought the season pass, have you just paid something that is free? No you have not, as season pass owners will get a choice of one of six games to download, not bad for a £15 season pass. The Crew Far Cry 4 Watch Dogs Assassin's Creed Black Flag Rayman Legends Just Dance 2015 What are everyones thoughts on this? While just an apology wouldn't have been enough, I think giving us Unity's major story DLC is a huge offer from Ubisoft.

Parker
So can I purchase the Season Pass now and then get Far Cry 4 for effectively $20? Seriously though, this is a good move by Ubisoft. Their reputation has really suffered this year and doing this makes up for a lot of it, in my opinion. I'm sure people will rage because they already own all those games though, hopefully Ubisoft will offer a simple refund if that is the case. You cheeky devils The season pass seems to have been locked on the store, meaning no one can buy it as of now. I haven't checked the in-game store yet, but I doubt it. madbuk
Is this for a limited time? I won't be getting Unity for a long time (Still at Brotherhood ) Pretty nice of Ubisoft to do this (especially giving a free game to people who bought the Season Pass). Saltyie
i didnt get any glitches when i played but sweet After NA complaining in every forum about AC Unity's problems I was on the verge of pre-order cancellation. I didn't though, and I sure am glad I did. I experienced 0 'strange' bugs, like falling through maps, walking on thin air, and potato face crowds. 1 huge frame drop (In the assassin's hideout entrance). My only major consistent problem with Unity is the clipping, which should be patched within the next month. Unity is my second favourite AC game (Sorry Arno, but you didn't fist fight the pope!), and anyone sitting on the fence should wait until after christmas and buy it, when there's a much higher chance of having the same experience I did. Mickzilla10
Haven't had a problem with Unity in terms of glitches and I'm half way through it, and loving every bit of it! Glitches can ruin an experience for someone though and this is more than enough of a way to apologies to those gamers affected. Good job Ubisoft! BlindMango
Wow, I am honestly so surprised Ubisoft did something like this, nicely done! This is the first time anyone has ever said this: "Dang it, I should have bought the season pass," lol Edited November 26, 2014 by BlindMango
nick-loquet
good move on Ubisoft's side. but you know.. they could've delivered a working game... maybe delay it a bit... seems to be a trend with PS4 games
Dreakon13
That's pretty cool. These big companies going out of their way like this, that doesn't involve screwing over their customers, always leaves me feeling weird though lol.
