Well, this game certainly lives up to its abysmal reputation.  It fails at everything it attempts to do from shooting, driving, brawling, and especially story.  I can already tell the One Percenter difficulty is going to be a tumultuous affair.

The grind is over. Compared to the first time I did this, doing it a second time wasn't as bad. In fact, I got used to it fairly quickly. As long as I listened to something else, it was passable. I even managed to achieve a shot down rate of 100% on the first level. However, since I did it in Score Attack mode, it didn't count. At least it's not hard to achieve.

 

With this finished, I'm done revisiting games that I'm familiar with, and I'll focus on something different instead. There is one game I'm planning to play again and it's easily the hardest one (you can probably guess where this is going), but let's not get ahead of ourselves. That one has to wait its turn.

 

As for what I'll play next, I have a few different ideas. I think I'll jump to the PS3 for a while. Not to mention, since my summer vacation has started, I think it's the perfect time to do it. That, and a couple of other games I've planned to start, but one thing at a time.

I'm having some fun with this, although I can't really recommend it in its current form. It just feels pretty unfinished in a lot of areas.

 

I'd say the game shines when it comes to the exploration of the mansion. It does give off a pretty good Resident Evil vibe and the puzzles are decent.

Time to start something new. Before I say anything about the game, I have to get one thing out of the way. That anime-style opening cutscene the HD Collection has is awesome. It looks great, and it almost feels like you're about to watch anime, instead of playing the game. Speaking of which, there's an anime based on this series. Maybe someday I'll see if I can find it somewhere.

 

What about the game? I've only played about two hours so far, but I've enjoyed it so far. The music is especially great. When I heard one of the songs in the game, it gave a nostalgia flow, as I've only heard it once before in a Gmod video I watched several years go, but I never bothered to look where the song was from. It's nice to get surprised like this.

 

As for the things I don't like at the moment, it's the camera. It's rather annoying since you can't control it much. Also, the rescue missions. The second one was a pain in the ass to get an A rank, but I'll get back to those once I've cleared the remaining ones. The first one wasn't too bad, though.

 

Oh, and speaking of terrible, want to hear something stupid? When I fought Tempest, I managed to defeat him or so I thought, as I was only about few hits away from defeating him. Instead, he managed to defeat me, resulting in game over. The trophy also popped, despite that I didn't win. Last time this happened was when I was facing the final boss in Rez Infinite last year where the same thing happened. To think that I'd be unlucky to experience that twice.

Well, it seems that I managed to clear the rescue missions faster than I thought. I suppose I'll have to explain why I don't like them that much.

 

To begin with, you have to earn an A rank. It doesn't sound too bad, except that there are two requirements. Besides making sure that there are no civilian casualties, you'll also have to make sure that the colony destruction is 10% or less. If neither of these two requirements aren't met, you'll have to restart. You'll also have to careful with your attacks, since they can also destroy buildings if you miss a shot or fight anywhere near them. Thankfully, defeating the enemy squads isn't hard, once you're familiar with the areas. That, and luring them.

 

As for the missions themself, they weren't too bad. The only one that was rather annoying was the second one, thanks to the boss battle against Tempest. Depending on how well you managed to avoid property damage in that battle, the rescue mission will be either easy or hard. The first time I attempted getting the A rank on that mission, I only got an B rank, no matter what. My only guess why I didn't earn it is because I engaged the optional battle against the enemies after the boss battle, instead of leaving immediately, which caused enough property damage. I could be wrong. Either way, once I realized that I couldn't do it on hard, I decided to start a new playthrough on easy. After a couple of attempts, I made it.

 

When it comes to the last three missions, they were much easier than I thought. Especially the fourth one, despite that you're affected by the virus which makes you die in one hit. At least I managed to clear that, and the final mission, perfectly.

 

It's also nice to see that I'm almost done with the missable trophies.
