I'd just run the one thread, but give the participants the option to choose their level of participation. Much less hassle that way. Edit: I replied before reading the rest of the comments. Looks like the popular opinion is to just wait for July and do it all at once. Still not sure whether it'll be 5 in 15 days, or 5 over 30 days. I'm up for the game - both lite and premium. It really helps breaking my unnecessary set of rules for trophy hunting. So, count me in both ways - May + June or May x2 (I might do both premium and lite simultaneously!). As for my recovery from last KYC - I platinumed both Warband and Carmageddon. I even made it to the fastest achievers on Mount&Blade! I'm second on that leaderboard for fastest 100%! Though, if not for the requirement to launch my next game (Banner Saga), I would end up first, I guess. But that's what losers say, isn't it? So I'm not gonna complain, just embrace my awesomeness of second place. Anyhows, wanted to plat Godzilla next, but made myself a promise to plat XCOM for 50th plat milestone. Who wouldn't like "You win" trophy for that ? But that forces me to play game three more times. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but even the strongest love has an expiry date .
Popular Post Oobedoob S Benubi
I see a few "unfinished KYC games" lists going by so below this will be mine. As for the next event, in May I would have enough time for a Lite event, in June I would be able to do a full event or a Lite at the very least (depending on holiday stuff), in July I would do neither. August is pretty busy for me as well probably but I feel like we won't have to wait until then. By the by, I have realised that except for the AC III DLC, I haven't really used my PS3 at all besides KYC events. games gaining this score were really bad in my eyes, rest assured that I do not want to continue on them even if I have finished everything else in my backlog. Saying it here so I don't have to spend my time on them coming up with different responses. BillyHorrible's Unfinished KYC Games KYC1 Tropico 5: loved it, very ashamed I still have not continued on this. Chariot: Liked it, really should get back to it. Grid Autosport: Did not really like it but might have something to do with my mood back then, I should give it another chance. ZOMBI: Not continuing on this one unless I have nothing else left in my backlog. Yakuza 4 Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 SSX KYC2 Furi: It's been so long that I would have to restart this game if I continued, the boss I got stuck on was hard even back then. BADLAND: bad level design combined with frustrating controls means I'm not going back to this game unless I have dealt with most of the rest of my backlog. Lords Of The Fallen: Very "mèh", will not give this a go before I have finally dealt with Bloodborne. Super Stardust HD: Might finally finish this if I ever feel like quickly crossing off a few titles on my PS3 backlog. DiRT 3: was going to be a before I got to the end of the first carreer season or whatever and the game turned into SSX style hipster tricks with commentary. Fuck you, game. Letter Quest Remastered: Tried to go back to it soon after the end of the event but just didn't feel like it, will only go for it after finishing a lot of other games in my backlog. Tricky Towers: very disappointing, won't go back to it soon. Resident Evil HD KYC3 Tearaway Unfolded: Thought it was "mèh" but I do have the intention to get through the story soon. INVI؟IBLE, INC: Promising game but lacking in the end, won't go back to this soon. TorqueL ? Õkami HD: want to go back to this sometime and give it an honest chance.
Hemiak
Seems like everybody has been busy working on their games which is great, you guys talk too much usually. I earned the Plat for Greg Hastings Paintball 2 the other night. Game was pretty good if not amazing. Definitely a different experience, and not ridiculously hard. It did have a few spikes but nothing a few restarts and some creative strategizing couldn't solve. Plus it's another UR Plat in the bag, which was really the main reason I bought it to begin with. I played a night of TLOU from KYC2, but it's a little intense for Mim at bed time. So last night I went back to I Am Alive and made some good progress... Before realizing I neglected to re-rescue a victim after I had to restart a checkpoint. I lost about 5 chapters and probably 45 min of work, though it won't take me near that long to get back to the same spot. I'll probably have a good bit more supplies when I get back as well, since I have strategies for all the fights now. The annoying thing is that every guide has you rescuing the victims in a different order, so you really just need to pick one and stick with it. You are so right. Two down, 8 to go. I'm working on the longest ones first though so AC: IV and Borderlands are my games now. Two huge treks to the plat... And if the moderator didn't make the event so much fun and created such a great community atmosphere, we wouldn't be so talkative. ?
Popular Post Hemiak
Ok, here's my full three event wrap-up. Completed Original - 7/10 Starwahl Ico SSX Helldivers Dragon's Dogma The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 Greg Hasting's Paintball 2 KYC2 - 4/10 Murdered South Park Watch Dogs Destiny KYC3 - 2/10 From Dust Babel Rising The Swindle - I don't have the address trophy, but I usually put it on in the background and auto grind it while watching TV, it'll happen eventually. Great Games, will definitely keep playing Terraria - Still loving this. Been playing a couple hours a week and plan to continue. The Evil Within - I went back to this between 1 and 2 and only stopped because the 2nd event was starting. it's hard to get in time becaust the subject matter means I have to play it when it's late or I have the house to myself. Will definitely finish the main story, and probably aim for the plat. Deus Ex: HR - I didn't get much time during the first event and haven't gotten back to this, though it seemed fun and I still plan for it. TLOU - I haven't spend nearly enough time with this, but I recently went back and plan on at least finishing the story. Ass Creed 2 - ^^^^^^^^^^ Geometry Wars 3 - Went back and made some progress, got distracted by other things. Decent to pretty fun, I'll play if the mood strikes me or I run out of games. Dirt 3 - Didn't get nearly enough time with this, haven't been in a racing mood lately though. Thief - Didn't get nearly enough time with this, haven't been in a sneaking mood lately though. I Am Alive - Playing it now because the story is interesting and Mim likes it. Don't know if I'll do a 2nd run for 100%. Nova 111 - Fun to play, but I'm not chomping at the bit to "see how it ends" Knytt Underground - Fun little exploration puzzler, I'll play through this as soon as I clear some other stuff up. Probably go back at some point, though I'm not in any hurry El Shaddai - Game is weird and not super fun, but it is UR so.... Xillia 2 - Just hasn't grabbed me, but definitely worth looking at again at a later date. Malicious - I want to like it, or at least finish it for the URs Why U Do Dis? Echochrome - this pretentious puzzle game just didn't click with me. I actually didn't earn a single trophy in this game and only haven't hidden it as a warning to never return to this bland "adventure" Epic Mickey - Ugh, that is all.

If it's not, I will happily take it off my list. I probably just got into it for the wrong reasons. I'm not a huge cartoon or even Mickey fan at all. Got it because it's UR and supposed to be challenging. It isn't actually hard, but the Plat is a nightmare. You basically have to constantly be following several guides, and the game likes to troll you and lock you out of necessary things...then auto save. It's not horrible by any means and if you're actually into Mickey it might even be good. I just kept falling asleep and really didn't enjoy a minute of it. My kids seem to enjoy it if that means anything, though they usually play other stuff given the chance. (disclaimer: I played this right after Terraria and really didn't want to play anything else. Take that for what it's worth.) Edited April 18, 2017 by Hemiak

Echochrome - this pretentious puzzle game just didn't click with me. I actually didn't earn a single trophy in this game and only haven't hidden it as a warning to never return to this bland "adventure" I was so jealous when I read that part. Wish I hadn't earned a trophy so I could just delete that damn game from my profile. There have been a few times that I thought about going back and finishing it. However, each time played out like this...turn on my PS3...look at the game icon...wait a few seconds...then say "Fuck that misery". I didn't participate in KYC3 but since everyone seems to be posting updates to their unfinished games from all events, I'll go ahead and share mine. Maybe this will give me some motivation to finally go back to some of these games. KYC (Completed: 5/10) Helldivers Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ducktales Remastered ICO Mamorukun Curse! KYC2 (Completed: 6/10) Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee Super Stardust HD LittleBigPlanet 3 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist Watch Dogs Remember Me Great Games: Looking forward to these the most ( for @BillyHorrible) Demon's Souls (1%) - One of the games I want to play the most but just haven't found the time. The plat time is the biggest factor that has me putting it off. Considering that Dark Souls, DSII, and Bloodborne are all in my backlog, I should probably try working on this series sometime soon. Fallout 3 (3%) - Really enjoyed the little I played during the first event but another game where I need to find the time and motivation to focus on a lengthy plat. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance (5%) - Might be the next game I play from these events. Thought about it recently but after playing Furi, I wasn't really in the mood for a tough combat type of game. Next time that I'm in the mood for a challenge, this might be the choice. Yakuza 5 (10%) - I actually played a few minutes after the last event. After loading the game, I remembered that playing Virtua Fighter 2 was the last thing I did. Decided to try out the Taiko Drum Master mini-game to finish off a trophy. That was a mistake because I have no rhythm and suck at the game. After failing miserably at the last song, I quit the game and haven't returned. Need to be in the right mood for these: (-) Gran Turismo 6 (76%): Of my remaining games from KYC, this is the one that I've played the most since the event ended. I'm still burnt out on racing games (probably due to Grid Autosport) so I needed to take a break after making some good progress. Still need to get gold on a few license tests, grind out a lot of miles and money, and some random trophies for the plat. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD (81%) - Only 2 trophies left to do. Need to complete all projectives (haven't started that) and collect all pellets in a specific stage. I've been putting this off because I've totally forgotten the controls and I'm not looking forward to having to re-learn how to play the game. Spelunker HD (8%)- Meh. Just not been in the mood for this game. I'll get around to it eventually. Dirt 3 (7%) - Another one that is low on the priority list. Said it before but I'm suffering from racing game fatigue so this will sit on the backlog for a while. I just want to forget this game ever existed: ( because I wouldn't insult bronze trophies by associating them with this game) echochrome (23%) - It will take a miracle for me to play this game again. Maybe someday...but probably not. Edited April 18, 2017 by MStalker58
Popular Post Kevvik
Update Game #8: Demon Gaze OK, so this experience didn't get any better but I was stuck this weekend just Vita gaming so I figured that I'd try to knock it off. Little did I realize that the RNG gods own this game. It was fairly straight forward and I had the gear to keep going. Then the bosses spiked in difficulty compared to everything around to the point that winning felt more like a fluke than by skill. Bosses would go into complete nuke mode until you got a run which felt like you got lucky with the attack choices. I hate games that feel like more luck than skill, even when you grind to be stronger going into it. Overall, the combat wasn't bad early on but got pretty vanilla during the grinding of normal enemies. Even in the boss fights, it was only a slight variation to deal with them when they hit just heavy rather than all out nuking your party. Being at the mercy of the RNG gods continued though. After the "first ending" there is a section which eventually turns into a boss run where you can grind out the higher level gear which includes 2 katanas which have trophies attached to them. Have I mentioned I hate trophies dependent on RNG? Hours and hours of grinding in the same end dungeon trying to get these 2 freakin' weapons. Got one, kept grinding with no luck. Finally said screw it and went after the final boss. After fighting dark versions of the bosses that I already beat (now fighting 2 at a time) and going through some RNG fights again, I arrived at the final boss and sailed through it first time, being on the good side of the gods this time. I still had a good 2 hours solid grinding after that to get the last bloody weapon and finally got the plat. The story didn't get any better either, what little there was of it. Most side quests seem designed to get the NPCs (male and female) into various states of undress or inappropriate situations. Still creepy and uninspiring. While dungeon crawlers don't always have the most complex storyline, this just felt excessively padded and pointless. Overall, a really disappointing title with copious pointless grinding to satisfy the RNG Gods. I don't mind grinding to level XXX or to fill a skill tree but how much needed to be done here was totally random. Maybe my opinion is lower because I got the short end of the stick rather than lucking out early. Either way, I'm glad its done with. Hours played: too bloody many Trophies: 41/41 for 100%, S rank Final grade: 3.5/10 Slowly getting my completion rate back but still down 0.97%
Popular Post Fitzquaid
Since everyone's talking progress updates, I'll join in and maybe shame myself into making more time for some of these abandoned games. I basically haven't touched anything this month except Persona 5 (and a bit of Atelier Escha & Logy for Billy and Falion's backlog events, and co-op Battleborn when we can get the band together), so not a lot to report; I've only added a few comments for now. KYC... Again - 3/10 100% / Platinum Journey Letter Quest Remastered Murdered: Soul Suspect Not Even Slightly Complete Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - Didn't enjoy it, not planning to go back any time soon Metro 2033 Redux Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands Tales of Graces f - So many long JRPGs, so little time The Deadly Tower of Monsters The Last of Us Remastered The Walking Dead S2 - I've been playing this very slowly, mostly for easy trophies on tough days, so I'm up to the start of Episode 3. I should probably give it a fair shot at a more normal pace, it's not bad so far. KYC v3.0 - 1/10 100% / Platinum Dear Esther Story Complete Night in the Woods - I want to play through this again but I'm waiting for a patch to fix the last trophy issues. Stories: The Path of Destinies - No plans to chase the plat, too much else to play. Not Even Slightly Complete Dishonored 2 Doom Invisible Inc Joe Dever's Lone Wolf Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence: Ascension Papa & Yo Severed - think I lost my progress when my Vita memory card gave up the ghost, I hadn't got all that far though. I didn't take the opportunity to grab it from the IGC when it was part of it as I thought it would be too similar to Grid 2, which I only played the trial back in 2013 and I didn't like it at that point, only to buy that during a sale and platting it as I enjoyed it much more. But as I know that the online is a big grind, I have to hope that the digital version goes on sale so I don't have to buy two copies of the game. On a sidenote: Might also do a short recap of all my KYC-games and all I have to say is I'm glad that I finally have a completion rate where any new game won't bring me below 71% again, when I stick to playing it. I wonder how long it will take me to be finally back at my starting completion rate for event 1: 71.92%. Popular Post Myu
I'm happy to see everyone write about their progress I need my completion rate back - Update 8 I spent several hours for nothing this time as the Exhaustion status curse kept following me around. Gaining enough EXP to progress was hard. I entered dungeons, cast all the Neo spells available to boost my characters and went into the very first battle just to be inflicted with Exhaustion again. And again. And again. I lost several party members that way and had to load my save again and again. Not a happy time. I finally completed the haunted hospital and the cemetery and got two more trophies for grinding like a maniac : 500 code chips obtained, 1000 battle won and 500 enemies defeated.
DamagingRob
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth definitely has its hooks in me. :/ This may be another game elevated to status, after the fact. Wasn't expecting the story to be as engrossing as it is, and it's fun as hell to play. The only bad thing is... there is a ton of RNG involved for trophies. I needed items from having my Digimon in the Farm search for some. This required saving less than a minute before they were done, and reloading my save if I didn't get the item I wanted. There are a number of medal machines, and the medal you get out of one is completely random. So, hours were spent on that, just mindlessly mashing the button, and checking to see if I had 30 different ones every so often.. And then there are more medals randomly dropped by enemies. So, yeah, this one is taking awhile. But on the bright side, my completion is back to what it was at the start of this event.

The game that surprised me the most: Titan Souls The game that I don't think I will probably ever finish: OlliOlli The game with the most interesting mechanics: Nom Nom Galaxy Rarest trophy from my KYC games: Fireproof - Flame Over - 0.82% Rarest trophy from my KYC games I earned: You're a Mean One - The Swindle - 3.11% My thanks for @Hemiak for keeping the event on track and providing a fun and chilled gaming event. Congrats to all that got 10 reviews and games out on here (which I failed), I look forward to the next one. Through this I have realised that I've been far too caught up in getting 100% in games and feel the need to step back and enjoy games again. I do really need to go back to my backlog but I want to enjoy myself first. When trophy hunting becomes a chore and stops you gaming, you know it's time to find a safe place and start again.
Popular Post crimsonidol38
Even though I didn't fully commit to KYC3 and left right at the middle I want to give a short summary of what's done and how my ratings towards the games stand now. I went through the list of games from KYC1 and KYC2 and re-rated some of the games as the time betwen playing them and now is quite large by now which gives me a better opportunity to rate the game on a more neutral position. Completed Games KYC1 (2 / 10): Battle Princess of Arcadias Love Live! School Idol Paradise Vol. 2 KYC2 (3 / 10): Derrick the Deathfin (finished story) Doki-Doku Universe (PS4-stack, PS3/Vita-list is still untouched) Dirt 3 KYC3 (3 / 5): Apotheon Gunstar Heroes Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart It's no surprise that KYC3 is the best when it comes to the completion-rate as I haven't played any of the 5 games I still had on my to play-list. Didn't even thought about playing them as I'm somehow jumping between some really old backlog games and new releases right at the moment. And the games chosen are somewhere in the middle between. Unfinished Games In KYC1 my rating was like this: Spoiler Games I will plat/100% for sure: Battle Princess of Arcadias Love Live! School Idol Paradise Vol. 2 Games I will try to complete as much as possible: htoL#NiQ -The Firefly Diary- La-Mulana EX Midnight Club Los Angeles Games where I will most likely only finish the story: Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition Zone of the Enders HD Edition Games that I'm not eager to continue any longer: Tokyo Jungle https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/38677-kill-your-completion-event-finished/?do=findComment&comment=1055942 In KYC2 my rating was like this: Spoiler AWESOME!!!: Driver San Francisco Fun to play, sure will continue playing these Dirt 3 Tales of Graces f This game is okay, but nothing extraordinary. Might return, might not Killer Is Dead Trine Be glad if you haven't been deleted already Badland Derrick the Deathfin Doki-Doku Universe FEZ Worms 2: Armageddon https://forum.psnprofiles.com/topic/42368-kill-your-completion-againfinished/?do=findComment&comment=1180934 For the KYC3-games the ratings would have been like this: Spoiler AWESOME!!!: - Fun to play, sure will continue playing these - This game is okay, but nothing extraordinary. Might return, might not Apotheon Blur Shantae and the Pirate's Curse Be glad if you haven't been deleted already Gunstar Heroes Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart Again I like to rephrase my ratings a bit and would like to introduce a -category for all the games I played and where I know that I will never return to them as I either sold them or deleted them from the hdds for good. AWESOME!!! Driver: San Francisco: Why haven't I found the motivation to go back to this gem? All I need are a few minor things in the single player and most of the multiplayer-trophies. Heck, I liked the game so much that I even bought a used copy of the collector's edition which features a small replica of the Dodge Charger. Fun to play, sure will continue playing these Shantae and the Pirate's Curse: This game was initially somewhere between a and a for me. By now I think it's more worth of a gold than a silver as it was a fun platformer. But it's quite hard to get used to this game after experiencing Half-Genie Hero. Tales of Graces F: I'm somehow still not in the mood to sink 100+ hours in one game, although I really enjoy the JRPG-genre. Good while it lasted, but let us just stay friends, kay? Blur: I tried to get back into the game but it somehow didn't click anymore. Achieving the secondary goals and not making it into the top 3 of a race so you have to retry everything hit on my nerves rather fast.htoL#NiQ -The Firefly Diary-: The game was okay, but thinking about some of the trial and error-passages didn't arouse the interest to continue the game anytime soon.La-Mulana EX: This game was surprisingly fun during KYC1 and even though I died several deaths and had no clues where to go I had a good time with it. But somehow I never thought about going back to it after KYC1 and I somehow think it will stay this way.Midnight Club Los Angeles: I recently felt like going back to one of the unfinished racing games and while I looked at my XMB-folder I had the choice between Driver, Burnout, and Midnight Club. I didn't feel like playing Driver and instead I decided to finish Burnout Paradise. And what about Midnight Club? Ehm, no. It was somehow okay to play but the overall atmosphere and especially the music weren't my cup of tea. I'm not into this "yo homie, gangsta shizzle da dizzle" at all. Be glad if you haven't been deleted already Killer Is Dead: I guess I went into this game with the wrong expectations as I thought it would entertain me as much as Lollipop Chainsaw did. But there were no lively people who made stupid jokes but instead some serious tones and embarrassing love-minigames and I didn't really like it.The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition: Point-and-click games are really a hit or a miss for me. I like the Deponia-games, I had some fun times with Day of the Tentacle, or Fire but then there's game that I don't enjoy at all like Broken Age, Grim Fandango, or Monkey Island. As the game is rather short I will still try to finish it (hey, in a few months it's eligible for Billy's backlog-event ) but I guess you really have to love those old adventures to get why Monkey Island is such a beloved series.Trine: Personally I don't get why Trine even turned into a series of 3 titles. Overall I think the gameplay is just a boring Lost Vikings-knockoff with standard setting and characters and unlikeable controls. I at least hope that I will find the motivation to finish the main story. It's unlikely that I would go for a second playthrough for the plat, though. Worms 2: Armageddon: I guess Worms is a franchise which I really enjoyed as a kid but where I think that it's sufficient to play it for 30 minutes every 5 years or so. Having to think about playing this for hours and hours just bores me. Wait, who are you. I don't know you...oh shit, you are in my trophy list aka Spoiler Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland: I didn't enjoy it at all and as a consequence I sold it a few months ago, together with Atelier Totori and Meruru, the follow-ups. Didn't get a lot of money for it but it's better than wasting space in my shelfs. Atelier? Never ever again!Badland: One game where I had to learn that I shouldn't buy it solely for the reason that it's puzzle-platformer with a charming style where I liked to read the advertisment post on the PlayStation Blog. This game was deleted for good shortly after it's time slot.FEZ: Even critically acclaimed titles can be a miss for someone. And FEZ is the perfect proof for this. Even though I enjoy puzzle-platformers, FEZ was not my cup of tea as it relied too much on spatial orientation or to think outside the box and both are fields I'm lacking in (although the later is somehow crucial for my occupation ).Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan: I'm glad this game didn't ruin my fond memories of the older Turtles-games I played (even though I suck at them) or the cartoon. The game wasn't fun at all and even 9 months after playing it initially I didn't finish that one last story-related mission. And now I won't be able to play it anymore as I sold my copy of the game.Tokyo Jungle: Tokyo Jungle was an unconventional experience but I never made it really far into the game as it seemed to repetitive for me.Zone of the Enders HD Edition: This game was no fun during the event and I don't have any interest in playing either this or the second installment anymore. Thank god I bought it rather early in my PSN history so it's unlikely that I will find it should I ever feel the need to scroll past the first 1,000 entries of my download list or so (OMG, all those double and triple entries for the LBP-DLCs ) Overall I'm quite surprised that nearly every fourth game I played during the events went into the last category. And it's somehow sad that one of the two games I enjoyed most (Driver, the other one was Love Live) wasn't played after the event, but instead I finished rather bland games like Battle Princess, or Hyperdevotion.

Popular Post DamagingRob
Completion percentage is now above what I started the event with, and I completed Cyber Sleuth! Well... one trophy is saved for Rain Day, so no Plat. But it's as good as done, now that I have the trophy for collecting all 500 medals. So. Much. RNG. Now, it's back to Star Wars, or play something new. Hmm.. Almost every other game from the event is as done as it's gonna get. Unless I ever overcome the 100 challenges completed roadblock I've reached in BlazBlue. :/ Magic conch shell, will I ever complete this game? Good enough for me. And then Binary Domain isn't likely. Unless a PSN friend(who asked me about it when I started playing it) decides to go for it, and asks for my help. Then, it might happen. But otherwise, ehhh. Every game is either an A or an S rank, and I'm pretty content with that. Two games from the previous event are still at C and D ranks, by comparison..
Oobedoob S Benubi
I went back to This War Of Mine, went for the last non-kid trophy and then started a new story so I could go for the kid trophies. Obtained 2/8 so far.
Myu
I need my completion rate back - Update 9 After wandering for a few hours while trying to find what I was supposed to do, I decided to check the Japanese wiki and things went smoothly after that. I got the 300.000 GP trophy, I used all Unity Skills, I created a Monk and a Conjurer and I progressed quite a bit through the story. I probably need to grind a few more levels before continuing because of that giant skull head that's instant-killing my characters.
Hemiak
Finished up the main story of I Am Alive last night. Was able to get all the other stuff along the way so the only one left us for completing the game on Survivor difficulty. I might of that eventually but it'll probably be a while. 11/12 trophies In Terraria I killed The Wall of Flesh two nights ago so I've officially begun hard mode and boy is it a step up. I now have a pickaxe of the 2nd highest tier so I can mine almost anything now. I've also made. The highest tier anvil so I can build better quality equipment, though I haven't found enough ore to upgrade my armor set yet. I've decided I don't really care enough about the world I'm in to bother corruption proofing it, which would take several hours. Just kind of aimlessly wandering and looking for better ores to upgrade my equipment because things can go south really fast on hard mode. 21/39 trophies. I'm now back over my initial starting % for KYC3, which is the first time I've made it back fully after an event. Popular Post PerryToxteth
I've been long overdue for an update... Well, my KYC lineup planning (or lack of) has bitten me in the arse. Two games in particular: - Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart- I went into this game blind (not even looking at the trophy list) and that was a mistake. In my first play through, I missed a trophy to avoid using any hints on hidden object puzzles. I didn't even realize I had used a hint, most likely I hit a button on accident. My second play through required me to solve all Mah Jong puzzles and man, is that a drag! It's fine playing a game or two of Mah Jong on a plane, but having to play 5-6 of them in a half hour gets old quick. The unfriendly user controls make it even worse. For platinum, I have to do a third play through to get the no hint trophy. - Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor- This was easily my worst slot selection choice. It led off KYC3 and loved it but trying to return to it six weeks later was punishing. The combat controls require doing special moves you have unlocked in a skills tree. Well, coming back to it after all that time off has turned me into a noob. I can't quite remember which buttons to hit and as combat is about timing, I met my demise early and often. Plus, I can't even really remember what I need to be doing in the open world environment. Even pulling up some of the tutorials didn't help so alas, I am going to have to start anew on this one. Which likely means it will languish in my to-do list long enough to qualify for Billy's Backlog event. Had this game been in slot No. 10, I'd probably have the platinum by now. I have finished three KYC3 games. - Deadly Tower of Monsters- One of the best PS+ games I have played. As I stated earlier, great Goldilocks game. Not too hard, not too easy. Not too long, not too short. Trophies are not difficult but do require a bit of effort. - Hitman: GO- My least favorite game in the event but I had short windows of game-playing the first week of April and this worked well in hour-or-less increments. - Life is Strange- I loved it. Those characters will stick with me for awhile. I want to replay it and make different choices to see how it alters the story. I found though, that the game worked best for me at nighttime. I couldn't concentrate to the story when I was wound up during the day. But the slow burn of the story worked well before bedtime. - Right now I am playing my first game from KYC...A, Rory McIlroy Golf. It'll likely take a week or so for the platinum but I'm planning for it to be my 40th plat! Once that is finished, I will have completed 7 of 10 games from that event. DiRT 3 will prevent me from getting the unprecedented 10/10.

Seriously, the actual game was decent enough. I'm not a big fan of sim racing (not sure if these games are considered sim but whatever you call realistic cars on realistic tracks) but it was pretty good I guess. Haven't played Grid 2 so can't compare them. The online is just a soul crushing grind. Basically for a few months any gaming time was devoted to driving a circle for a minute, wait in the menus, drive the same circle over and over again for 100-200 hours. Sounds like you have 2 PS3's which would save some time and make it less of a pain since you can do it at your own pace. Good luck..but you are crazy.
