Can confirm; lost Duke Nukem 3D and CastleStorm this way (the latter being still available digitally) after obtaining them through PS+ for years. Sony support had nothing for me other than to "try restarting your PS3"...

How did you get the game from PS+? AFAIK it was only given as a freebie during the first PlayStation Experience event several years ago.

 

For whoever lost their games, have you tried checking your transaction history and providing the IDs to the support? I recovered two games that way.

 

ps: if you own a PS4 and already redeemed P.T. there's a way to redownload it (all you need is to temporarily change some network settings and use a PC program)

Thank you to everyone who replied to my inquiry, but as Lance pointed out I’m a bit of a dummy because I was actually remembering a different game. The ironic aspect is I was remembering a game called Remember Me. I sold my physical copy of that game because I got the PS+ version. I guess both games having female characters on the same side of the front cover with striking art style and colors had me a bit on the edge… ?

I know this was previously delisted from purchasing on the store itself but Marvel Puzzle Quest PS4 was removed from PS Plus Extra.

 

With it's removal, it now officially has no way for people to add it to their libraries anymore being a digital only game.

The game is still available. For some reason some Plus Extra games show as unavailable on the web store but are listed normally on the PS5 store

Weird it must've been a glitch due to owning it through ps plus extra. Wouldn't show a purchase price at all on PS4 or PS5 for me. Seems to be normal now.

It looks like Live or Die was unofficially shutdown last July/August time, because no-one has either earned a trophy or been able to connect to the servers since then but the game is still available to download. Since this is a Gammera Nest title, I don't expect to get any confirmation from them as to what happened.

I was in a group testing Live or Die, it was never in a state that you could obtain all of the trophies. One trophy required a full lobby of 20 players but the game couldn't handle that many people in a match. Glad I never popped one of the trophies that did work.

Was part of this group as well can confirmed the title has been permanently FUBAR'd since we did the test.

 

After we tested things and sent off info to the devs they were suppose to temporarily turn off the games connection to the main server in order run things over make and provide a patch that would fix the initial issues including broken trophies. After about May-ish of last year the devs stopped communication with most of us, and further attempts for contact have been left in Silence.

 

A friend of mine that helped lead the group said they believe the game was part of one of Sony's pilot programs to smaller indie/student devs and why they don't think it's actually been removed for sale from PSN store depsite being inoperable for over a year. With that said anyways it was always figured this game wouldn't survive alot of was asset lipped unity models and also had some questionable IP infringement including the Demongorgon from Stranger Things across it's promotional as a monster.

It has been officially announced that PlayStation's Concrete Genie studio PixelOpus will be shutting down. 

Sony responds to clarify situation, and confirms closure. Title has been amended to suit the situation.

Sony told IGN in a statement:

"PlayStation Studios regularly evaluates its portfolio and the status of studio projects to ensure they meet the organization’s short and long-term strategic objectives. As part of a recent review process, it has been decided that PixelOpus will close on June 2."

That game is an offline Plat/100% but you need a VR headset and controllers to get the DLC trophies.

Unfortunately, it looks like Ubisoft have quietly pulled the plug on Rayman Legends (PS3), AC Brotherhood and Splinter Cell: Blacklist . SCB still has 1 obtainable online trophy but all others are toast, with no earners since either October 22nd, 2022 or Feb 2nd, 2023 and ACB and Rayman Legends being offline since early/mid April, 2023. Far Cry 2 and Rayman Legends (Vita) are also having major server issues, with FC2 being offline since early 2023 and Rayman Legends (Vita) being partially offline for a month now .

Correct. The initial closure date was Late August/Early September 2022, then it was changed to October 1st 2022 but some of the announced games didn't close down so remained up until very recently.

Far cry 2 only had the shutdown notice for PC and not Consoles but it may have been pulled by Ubisoft quietly, or it's just bad servers being bad servers

1: Correct. 2: I'm thinking it's just the servers being terrible as per-usual but there was a credible rumour last Christmas that Ubisoft were going to close all the remaining FC2 servers at some point during 2023, though there would be advanced warning when it happens.

Camouflaj have confirmed that Republique: Anniversary Edition will not be returning to the PlayStation Store.

The only way to gain access to Republique on PlayStation is via the original physical release (GungHo / NIS America) or the Anniversary Edition physical release (Limited Run Games). They both have separate trophy sets.

EA has been closing servers regularly for a year now.  Plus annual sports title. Really shouldn't be a surprise at this point

Scanning the list and it seems they aren't showing yet. Really odd that they're pulling FIFA 21 and 20 compared to the other FIFA games that usually last ~5-6 years before closing.

To be fair ea did lose the fifa name rights recently and supposedly the league itself will be publishing a new game themselves. fifa 24 will instead be called ea sports fc so ea may be trying to get as much of the playerbase over to that game as possible before fifa launches thier game as they know the average consumer who typically buys fifa isn't as savvy as the harvest moon/story of seasons or yakuza/like a dragon fanbases and are fearful people will buy the new non ea fifa thinking its ea skipped this year due to the rebrand thus costing them sales. They dont seem to be closing madden games as fast(19 was the most recent to close iirc)
