Sounds very reasonable Are you in any rush to decide or will you take some time for 7 "filler plats"? I'm not really into a rush right now. I rather try the slow approach and (hopefully) enjoy all the games I will finish towards that milestone . The next weeks I will focus on the remaining online modes in all the PS3-games I care for and in that process I will likely decide whether it will be Driver or Grid. Both still need a at least 20 hours each so it's a lot of time to think about it. A totally unrelated sidenote: Woohoo, 1,000 posts! Popular Post Dragon-Archon
Got am update for Team Jigsaw: #195: Mind=0 In this game teenagers are transported to another world where they form contracts with other beings to fight together. These beings are called MINDs and people that have a contract are Minders. This game may be the biggest bomb of 2018 so far. It's best described as a terrible Persona clone. But, I'm getting ahead of myself: before going into details about that, let's take a look at the good things first. *Thinks long and hard for a while* right, good things about this game ... oh, I got one: it's possible to equip/unequip skills in this game, provided you have the necessary skill card. That way you can adapt to new dungeons and boss fights. In case you're thinking "Is that it? Nothing else was good about the game??", then congrats; we're on the same page. And nope, that's it for the good things. The story ... well, calling it a story is actually way too much credit. Anyway, the story is very lacking and doesn't explain anything, except for the basics about MINDs. That's it, there's a very brief explanation about the bad guy's plan at the end, but the majority isn't explained. This game just feels like a prologue that overstays its welcome and it was obviously intended to have a sequel. The story also takes place over the course of 9-10 days. After the initial meeting (and getting their butts kicked), the party is somehow strong enough to defeat the bad guys 2-4 days later. The antagonists are introduced exactly halfway through the game. Before that the main characters wind up in dungeons filled with hostile MINDs that want to kill them, so the logical conclusion is to reach the end of the dungeon rather than finding the exit. Once the antagonists are introduced, not much changes. Nothing is revealed. Only after defeating each of them, you see a short scene (for a lack of better word, as it's just a black and white screen with some dialogue) that vaguely implies why they joined. Even their fate is not clear. One is confirmed to have died (for reasons unknown), one got away, and the other two... I don't know: they could be dead or escaped . If it wasn't for the confirmation about one of them dying, I never would've guessed it. Most dungeons are very uninspired and the interior is recycled often. Interiors include an abandoned factory, subway trains, pure white mental facility-ish setting, back alley shopping street where every store's shutters are closed, and some hideous thing that resembles a 3-year old's colouring book. I liked the Japanese festival-ish theme and the movie theater though. The post-game dungeon had nothing new, instead it recycled every other dungeons. Enemies are also recycled over and over again with just a palette swap. After the second dungeon there's only 1 new enemy per dungeon. There's no character growth or real events that make you care about the characters. There are 4 events per main character, but those don't add anything useful. Enhancing skills at first doesn't seem to do anything, as the skill's description doesn't reflect the changes. You need to manually equip a skill, then take a look at the stat boosts or damage inflicted to notice the difference. Also, enhancing skills in one go from start to max costs much less skill points. If you raise a skill a few levels per time, the cost goes up about 100 times. Finally, there's no item to escape from dungeons, you need to reach a warp portal. This is especially annoying in the post-game dungeon, where you need to backtrack from floor 50 to floor 42 to escape, which is BS.
keploz85
Update Team Candyman I completed South Park: The Fractured But Whole. 9/13 games done. I'm still working on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. Thank you @DoctorDrPepper @Mesopithecus for hosting this event. It has been a blast. Both badges look very awesome.
voodoo_eyes
Another bonus game The Coma Recut A bit disappointed in this one. I'm a big fan of Korean horror and as such I had high hopes for this. It starts out pretty good too, but ends up drifting into mediocrity. The game has a bunch of spelling mistakes, which can be forgiven. What I can't forgive though is them using a form of "dude" expression, as it just sounds completely out of place. Gameplay-wise it's a 2D side-scroller that's set in a school. By progressing through the story the school and corridors keep changing, eventually blocking off many areas. You'll end up being chased for the majority of the game and it just so happens that your attacker, more often than not is just outside the door waiting for you. In the last third of the game, it just becomes annoying as there are barely any health items nor save stations and 90% of the doors that were previously open are suddenly locked. Way too much trial and error, which just killed any fun that was left. Edited October 23, 2018 by voodoo_eyes

And, it was probably the best event of the year. I am in awe on what you set up and accomplished. I just hope in the future there is another event! If so, I will be the first to sign up. It takes a team to run an event as smoothly as this one was. Kudos to @Mesopithecus for the updating and words of wisdom and support. Thanks to the design team, @Masamune for the badges that I will always cherish. Excellent post! And, I could not have said it better myself. I don't care who has done it in the past, I'm only concerned with who did this event in the present. To the three members who pulled this event off: A big thank you. Without you, this fun time would of been a dud.

SpaceCoresDad
Just finished Beyond: Two Souls for Team Jaws. I've preeeetty much come to accept that unless I do literally world record pace for the rest of my games, I'm not gonna be able to cut it for them. That's okay though! It's kind of relieving knowing I won't miss out on a badge, and honestly considering I had to start late I'm pretty proud of what I've done so far. I'll still do my best finishing up AC Revelations though, and then either Batman or Watch_Dogs, whichever I feel more like doing.

Platted BEYOND: Two Souls yesterday Congrats on the Beyond: Two Souls plats I'm going to complete the trifecta by also sharing that I've also completed Beyond: Two Souls for Team Pinhead. If you ever played a Quantic Dream game you'll know that these games aren't known for having complex or dynamic gameplay in their games, but can make up for it (if you see it as a flaw) with it's gripping storylines and immersive characters. While I thought Heavy Rain was an overall okay game, not bad or excellent by any means, after playing Beyond I thought QD really out did themselves with this one. A big indicator that determines if I like a game immensely is if a game can manage to tug continuously at my heartstrings, and Beyond does it not only strongly, but also frequently throughout several parts of the game (and way more than Heavy Rain, in which I don't recall it ever did). Jodie's character development is beautifully crafted as you watch her blossom from an adorable, bright young girl to the kick-ass and lovely, matured woman she becomes. The beauty in this development lies in her struggle intertwined with adversity, because that's where you will feel for, relate to and root for her the most. In a way, I could see Jodie act as a role model to women everywhere. The whole Tarantino-ish form of jumping around parts of the game's timeline (if you play it the original way) when progressing through the story, I thought, was also crafted well as it gave the storytelling a neat sense of style and fluidity. Not once was I ever confused or lost from its original way of storytelling. Although, from what I've read from other gamers who already experienced this game, according to them they had a bit of trouble understanding what was going on and needed to do a 2nd playthrough, but with the chronological order of the storytelling (you have a choice between playing the original or chronological order before starting the game - I recommend original for the 1st playthrough) before fully understanding the story. Beyond: Two Souls is definitely a game I recommend, but I think this game will appeal to and be appreciated more from those who love a strong sense of reality in the games they play.

I am not really into the "choose your fate" games Quantic Dreams puts out, but I won't deny that the stories are thick and meaty. More power to anyone who can get through all of the multiple playthroughs of Heavy Rain and multiple storylines about humanistic androids in Detroit Become Human! DragonQuest238
Binding of Issac, right? I did enjoy the crazy synergies that Youtubers put out, but I don't think I could play this game without a seed since it is almost impossible. I'm glad to know that you can't platinum the digital version so I can delete the account where I put this game and walk away from it forever. DragonQuest238
Well, I still won't plat it because you have to not only unlock The Lost, but also get all of his items and I have a hard time with challenges where you die in one hit. That's all I have to save on the subject.
Neocarleen
Maybe a weird question. I've put my shiny new badges in a spoiler in my signature but it seems to cut them in half? idk if I'm formatting it wrong or something... Any advice? Given the fact that you use the desktop-version of the site you can resize any posted image in your posts or your signature by double-clicking on them. Then a popup appears where you can reduce the height and width of the badges. Or you could put them right beside your trophy card (e.g. one on the left side of it and one on the right side). Making them smaller seems to help but now they're too small to read. And there's a restriction on signatures that you can't have more than two images, and apparently the trophy card already counts as one. I was originally going to put the badges on both sides of the trophy card like you suggest, but then I have to put the badges in individually (as opposed to having them both in the same image), but that would be three images and it wouldn't work. Totally forgot that non-premium members can only put two images in their signature. Just changed it (see it as a thank you for the good you do with the work you put into the sales-threads). And as another future suggestion (if there are more badges to comes): There's an "About Me"-section on the profile where you can keep all of the badges and then you can put the latest in your signature.

Mesopithecus
Got games and lists updated Managed to platinum Horizon Zero Dawn a few days ago, so that's my final game done. Still working on Ultra Hard NG+ and it's turning out a lot more difficult that what I've seen people make it out to be. Progress will be slow though now as my husband is playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and I've been enjoying just sitting back and watching him play. I hope everyone has a great weekend

Uchiha_Snake__
Hello there! I just got Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and I think I can add it to the Thanatophobia since you die a lot in these games ? also you know a game likes to kill when it give you the chance to "revive" by killing someone else ?
