I'm mainly focusing on the A-Z game title club for right now though so I'll probably come back to this at a later point. Gonna need to look through the thread and get some ideas too. I was already planning to do Ziggurat for an UR Z game which also has a plat beginning with Z, so that works out nicely.

@Matrim_Drasgen Question about the non-English category - does the entire platinum title need to be in another language, or just the first character? It seems to me it should only be the first character (the symbol and number categories don't need to be exclusively symbols or numbers, after all), but the description in the first post seems to indicate the entire title.

 

Specifically, I'm looking at the platinum for Labyrinth Life, which starts with a lower-case omega but then has English. Realistically, it's currently the only game I'd have any chance of fufilling this category.

 

Edit: After researching this game a bit more, this has become a moot point for me, as the game doesn't look like something I would play. But answering the question may still help someone else.

Great Question. Originally, I had planned for the entire title to be in any language other than English BUT! That is only because I never saw a hybrid title before. So, in keeping with the spirit and to open up the possibilities a little, so long as it starts with non-English, it will count.

Thanks for the answer! When I sort the titles alphabetically, the Labyrinth Life platinum shows up as the very first title after the Z's (which is how I first discovered it), not in the symbol group before the A's...I wonder if there are two versions?

 

Anyway, I've come up with an alternate plan for my non-English platinum - I've got a used Japanese PS4 game on the way via eBay. I was pleasantly surprised to see I didn't need too many additional games to complete this challenge. I suppose I should post my list soon, huh?

I dunno. I know when I was looking for a symbol, I went with Labyrinth Life for that reason but if it has been moved to after the Z's or if I made a mistake, I am not sure. So, it would be considered an entry for non-English instead of for Symbol. Thanks for the info!

Added two more POWGIs this morning, so now at 9/26. Not gonna do the foreign kanji one because I can't play Japanese games. (The only Japanese game I ever played was a Japanese copy of Pokemon Pearl before it came out in the states and the only reason I got through it was because I knew the menus.)

 

EDIT: Just added T to the list by completing SaGa Frontier remastered. Great game.
