I am a little sidetrackt with Gems of War. Should not have started that game again ?

Working on Chronus Arc and after i found out what the Books of Discipline do it is a lot easier ?

Finished up Senran Kagura Estival Versus. It was fun by the end, but the beginning was incredibly painful. I wanted to give this game a fair shot, since I've enjoyed other games in the series and other games by this dev a lot, but this one just falls short. Probably because it's old, and they hadn't learned any better yet. The game limits what you can do with each character until they level up, but then forces you to switch characters for every mission. So leveling up is incredibly slow and you're completely unable to choose your character until you've already cleared a mission, so essentially until cleanup. Burst Re:newal is significantly better in every way, as well as other games they've made like Neptune+Blanc and Neptunia U. I wouldn't recommend anyone play this, unless they really want to see some waifus get mostly nekkid.

 

I mainly did Senran Kagura because I wanted to be able to watch lectures and work on something. Summer sessions in college are no joke, and I don't have as much time as I expected. Plus it was simple enough that I didn't have to use my thumbs, and they needed a break. I feel like I should probably play P5S now, because I bought it at launch and seeing it go on sale is a reminder of how much money I wasted by letting it sit unplayed, but I'll probably end up playing Shenmue instead lol. Also probably going to swap out Fatal Bullet for NEO The World Ends With You when it comes out. I got the original on launch day in 2008, and I've been waiting almost 15 years for this sequel, I'm playing it as soon as I can.

I completed sequence 3, managed to complete the first outpost undetected to get the Ninja trophy, and finished 35 Abstergo challenges, which is half of them. I also spent some time exploring and beefing up my ship a bit. Tomorrow will be dedicated to exploration and more upgrades. Probably will get at least partially through sequence 4. There are only six in this game. It is somewhat explained in-game, but of course Unity was the main installment that year. Still, enjoying it so far. Even though it's not required for the plat, I'll probably explore every nook and cranny in the game. I have it on PS4 and will likely play it at some point. This was just the last AC game I owned on PS3 and wanted to put the series to bed on it before I eventually start on PS4.

Made more progress than my trophies show. For example, explored several areas, beefed up my ship, and completed Abstergo challenges, which will allow me to unlock cheats for trophies. I also did a LOT of hunting and harpooning and crafted a decent number of upgrades for Shay.

 

On an unrelated note, the signups for the dual fall and winter challenge will open up two weeks from Sunday (August 1). Keep up the good work, everyone!

Another update

 

Finished a blind playthrough of Until Dawn, didn't manage to get many trophies though. I really enjoyed it but the last 2-3 chapters lost me a bit. Should have stuck with the original plot points.

 

Making slow progress in Demons Souls and starting to get the hang of it. Nearly 20 hours of game time already and only beat like 5 levels so gonna be a long one I think ?

 

Might start to play CTR for when I feel Until Dawn and Demons souls are getting to heavy. Think Until Dawn will be the next plat though.

With Until Dawn, it all depends on how many of the collectables you find so the characters can fully piece together the story on the mountain by the time you reach the end. It's actually pretty good ?

Update 11 - 

 

I moved the needle a little bit with Outriders which has been a huge surprise for me. It wasn't what I was expecting at all and it's really impressed me every step of the way both in story and mechanics. I'm still quite early on in the game and getting acclimatised to the way loot and stats work. But i'm having a blast playing as a tanky-boi in a really interesting game world. It doesn't look spectacular by any means but it plays just fine.

 

It is still early days yet to be fair, so I think this game might change in my perceptions for better or worse once i'm fully finished with what the game has to offer or at least, what the trophy list requires. I'm coming up to a weekend of rest away from both work and working out so i'll have a good chunk of time to really open the game up with a cheat meal on the side. 

 

More updates on Outriders to come! We have about 6 weeks left of this challenge! I'm pretty sure I can get Outriders and Nier in the bag by then. I'm already thinking about my list for the next challenge ?

Finished the final racer events, and moved on to the cop career in Hot Pursuit. There's less cop events than racer ones and in general I think the cops have a slight advantage in this game so they're easier than racer events in my opinion. Regardless, since my last update I've finished the whole cop career and got gold medals in all single player events, as well as picking up a good chunk of the miscellaneous trophies and quite a few of the rank related ones! Next stage of the game is to grind out some events to reach max level/rank for racer and for cop, in addition to the trophies for playing online games and the last couple of miscellaneous ones.

Update 7

 

I've spent this week working solely on The Witcher, and making steady progress. I've finished the main story quests in Velen, and moved on to Novigrad now. Much of this week was spent earning all of the combat trophies, those bandits at the Devil's Pit constantly being farmed for specific kills ? The headshots with the crossbow were annoying, but I'm glad those are all done and I can focus on the quests and stories. I still have some other misc trophies to get, mainly hunting down all the Gwent cards, but also the fist fights and horse races. My goal is to try and get my first playthrough and the majority of trophies (including the DLC) done by the end of the month, so that when I come to my second playthrough on Death March I can just blast through the story on NG+ with my upgrades carried over. Though this is a big game, not sure how realistic this plan is lol!

Hi guys. This week I've been playing games plus plus plus. By gaming when I've been unable to sleep I've knocked out some games not on my list (Doki Doki Literature Club and Subnautica Sub Zero) and started replaying a few in my backlog (Hyper Light Drifter and Enter the Gungeon). For the challenge I've completed Desperados campaign and drilled into some of the challenge missions. I've really enjoyed Desperados, hoping to platinum in the next week or two. Gaming plans this week - Desperados, dabbling with backlog indies and games I feel would be easy wins to boost my overal percentage completion. Finish all act/part 1 missions in Nier so my completionist self can advance the story. Have a great week all.

Even though I haven’t earned any trophies in Assassin’s Creed Rogue since Thursday, I have been making a lot of progress. I’ve explored most areas, have my ship nearly maxed out, and making good headway on side activities. The plan is to resume the story tomorrow and earn a few more trophies. I am enjoying the game and will definitely play it again on PS4. I probably will do some things differently. Will I explore every nook and cranny again? Time will tell, but my guess is most likely. Still, that won’t be now or anytime in the foreseeable future.

I didn't get too much done this week. I couldn't decide on a game, and I just didn't have much time to play any games this week. Today was supposed to be my day of gaming, but then the power went out for most of the day and now my ac doesn't work. I don't want to have my space heater on until the ac is fixed (seriously my PS4 pro generates SO much heat). I also started playing Yakuza Kiwami, which isn't on the list. I'll probably end up swapping it in though. I tried Jojo and it's just... bad. It's so hard to get in close, and fighting on rooftops and having to platform while fighting is super annoying. It really needs a Naruto style dash in. And I still need to swap out SAO with something too, so I'll probably end up swapping one of them for Yakuza. Going to give it a little bit more time before officially swapping though. I've heard the Yakuza plats can be pretty difficult, so I want to make sure it's worth sticking with first.

Week 7

Another week, another update - this time a bit more than previously!

 

Firstly a small amount of progress on Soul Sacrifice - I cleared a couple more of the side-story chapters so there's only one more of them left, though I need to up my life stat before I can start it. I'm also making slow progress on the main story, but I think levelling some more is my best bet right now as being 1-shot by the cyclops kind of hampers my progress! So I'll likely work on some more of the other side missions this week to get some more exp and spells before I continue on. 

 

Next up, Tropico! I earned the plat this week, most of the remaining miscellaneous stuff was finished off in a normal sandbox, by the time I was done I had an extremely profitable island and an 80% approval rating - it was pretty fun. Then I used a couple of unlimited money quick islands for the US invasion and the faction happiness, in the end I did that one using the method in the guide as I couldn't manage it myself. Online was quick and easy self-boosting, it took around 30 mins to do which is about as long as it took to setup and update the other console to make it possible! I still thoroughly enjoy the game and look forward to the DLC later on

 

Finally, I started Okami last night. Not too much to say about it yet as I only played about an hour, so far the aesthetic is wonderful (but I knew that already), the story seems interesting and the camera is annoying ?

I love Okami so much, though I had to change the camera controls in the options as the inverted left and right bothered me too ?

The opening scene is really long, but once you get past it the game is great. The story is so good, and the music is great. Keep an eye out for all the monsters to complete the bestiary, I missed 2 about half way through the game and had to do a second playthrough on NG+ to finish it ?
