Popular Post gruffiiti
Second game down. The Stick of Truth was just as quirky and fun as I remembered it and firing on all South Park cylinders. I noticed early on in my playthrough that I missed a collectible and it triggered my memory that there were quite a few items that could become missable if not being thorough with the game. I restarted the game and paid special attention to making sure I explored every corner of the town and luckily didn't have any problems getting the platinum to pop. Other than having to be concerned with missing items, I liked the game quite a lot and am now considering doing both South Park games back to back... Completed Games Operation: Tango [PS5] - 100% South Park: The Stick of Truth [PS4] - 21% --> 100% In Progress Games Demon's Souls [PS5] - 18% Assassin's Creed Origins [PS4] - 2% The Wolf Among Us [PS4] Yaga [PS4] Limbo [PS4] Hades [PS5] Until Dawn [PS4] Little Nightmares II [PS4] Games completed (2/10)

The character interactions remind me why I love the Tales series as well as the world-building. The combat is staying true to the Tales way and is very comfortable to play. I can't recommend this game enough. If you're a Tales fan, you won't be disappointed! I haven't finished it yet but it's definitely got the Tales story to it!
Popular Post YaManSmevz
Toasty War Journal #2 9/14/21 What's good, y'all! Seein lots of progress, I'm about it! As for me, still a bit on the slow side. Tending to unfinished business while trying to keep somewhat active with my selected games, plus y'know, work n shit. Bluhh? Think I've settled into FFIX, Hitman, and Yakuza 0 as my initial focus. Y0 is a lot of fun, I'm lovin the story, although I'm already a lil nervous about legendary mode - I already know those boss battles will be no joke. Also a quick note - there's some raunchy shit here! I tried the whole date-on-the-call-service thing and they're straight up moaning while you're trying to select the right responses! These moments in Yakuza make me feel like a teenager watching dirty movies late at night or some shit, plummeting the TV volume in a panic, peering over my shoulder every so often... remember that feeling when you're watchin a movie with your parents and that kind of scene starts? Aw man??? Inevitably my wife's gonna walk into the room and see something like that and I'm just gonna be like "It's a weird game honey, I don't know what to tell ya." In other Yakuza news, I've hit my first real side quest snag with that last dance-off - you really gotta pull out all the tricks for that one! Hitman is as fun as I remember, it's just a matter of getting all the different opportunities without scum saving (whoever coined that phrase, I almost hate how appropriate it is) and the escalation contracts. The controls have come back to me, and I've more or less regained the ability to comfortably maneuver around unexpected RNG elements when trying to carry out specific methods. This one shouldn't be too bad, although I've said that before only to choke on those words! At least it's fun! I'm already excited to get goin on Hitman 2 after this wraps up. Decided to start IX over, I missed a few things and I was so close to the beginning that it wasn't a big deal. Posted at the beginning so I can tackle the 1,000 jumps before proceeding with the game and actually enjoying myself? Also that card game? Gar-bajjj. Even after extensively reading up on it, the HP of the cards still makes no damn sense. And apparently, it isn't enough to get a hundred wins - you've got to beat a hundred unique players. Luckily I was only going for the ten to get started, but sheesh. They don't want to make anything easy for this game, do they?? Anyway, that's my novel for the week. Thanks for reading, thanks for posting, fist bumps for everybody? 1. Resident Evil 5 (24%) 2. Yakuza 0 (11-->22%) 3. Hitman (39-->41%) 4. Final Fantasy IX (2-->8%) 5. Cities: Skylines (7%) 6. DJ__Beatroot
@YaManSmevz So far, Oxenfree is a nice hike through the island. Everything is pretty much straight forward and I'm actually enjoying it! Still in the beginning of the game so who knows how everything will work out! At least this game is logical. I'm interested in the Hitman series, but know I'll need some time to throw at it. Also, GTA SA should be a blast. It is just tough for me to go back from the graphics of GTAV. Oh man, a card game? Good luck on that! Speaking about cards, I never got the achievement for Gwent in The Witcher 3, although I eventually got a little bit better at it. Good luck!
Popular Post be_minor
Update #2: The last two DLCs for New Vegas are done. My courier - named Frederick because I lack imagination and love the name - traversed Zion, killing horrendously mutated wildlife and White Legs alike, and then navigated the Lonesome Road while pondering on his nation-building - and consequently, destroying - actions throughout the main game. At times, I felt under-leveled, albeit Frederick was a beast at lvl 48 near the end. The DLCs’ new weapons and outfits unlocked after completing each felt like worthy additions to Frederick’s arsenal. As someone who never played the DLC when they originally released, I loved the way the characters and settings added additional character-building for my courier and his legacy in the Mojave. It's said war - war never changes. Men do, through the roads they walk. And this road - has reached its end. If you see it on sale as it very often is, I'd recommend picking both of those games up, you'll have an incredibly interesting and unique experience with both titles that's for sure. This isn't really the place to post reviews (I'm guessing anyway) - but if you are curious about Beholder or Beholder 2 there's a link HERE to my review of it in my checklist thread. I'm feeling the urge to blow some of the dust out of my PS3 and tackle one of the two PS3 titles I've got lined up. I know that Harry Potter isn't exactly the most fun time - so perhaps I ought to dive head first into that one and get it done. That's what this event is all about after all. I'm super tempted to start Darksiders III as well, but I need to install that. So looks like my dusty old PS3 is getting a bit of time in the sun. At least I'll get to hear that much more satisfying trophy pop sound haha! Edited September 16, 2021 by rjkclarke

Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 3 - And the list changes again! This time the release date my most anticipated game of 2021 - Dying Light 2 has been pushed again right into the last month of this challenge right at the end of Feb 2022. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to this. Having said that though, if they need more time to polish and refine it, they can technically take as long as they need if the finished product is that much better. I'm going to replace it with a true backlog title - The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope. I'm really hoping nothing else in my list gets moved, I wasn't anticipating reshuffling too much as they all seemed locked in enough. In actual gaming news - I'm still playing Judgment regularly. My character is currently parked (stuck) firmly in Club SEGA in front of a Puyo Puyo arcade machine. This personally might be the toughest thing I've had to do since the pool challenges in Yakuza 3. 99% of the Puyo Puyo challenges are doable bar the challenge to beat all 10 opponents. And to do that you need to go into infinite survival mode - continuously playing against a randomly generated set of opponents in one game until you encounter and beat all 10. I managed to get to 9/10 opponents beaten, but the final one 'Rulue' will only appear after 20 consecutive victories in one game and from there you just have to hope the opponent is spawned before you lose. There is an absolutely huge amount of RNG here. Some games i'll get past 20 consecutive victories, others I won't even get past the first round. So unless I get very very lucky after work tonight, I'm anticipating that i'll be grinding this for the rest of the week. Once I get past this, I think everything else is going to be relatively manageable so i'll progress again at a decent pace. Thanks for all your updates everyone, it's been a horrible week in real life for me on multiple fronts so reading them and knowing we're all doing something together is really helping! Things have been kind of busy for me (in fact, I was away Mon&Tue which is why my update's later in the week than normal) but I think it'll begin to settle down now. I'm going to be working in the office 1 day a week now so I'll be getting some commuter time to play the vita, silver linings and all that. Anyway, as for my list, once again I've only been playing ME3 (and some irrelevant things on the side), I've managed to clear a number of the main missions since last Monday - Priority: Tuchanka, Citadel and Rannoch are done, as well as most of the missions involving the ME2 crew, the last thing I did was the whole of Leviathan, and honestly I forgot how long it was! Trophies I'm still missing are basically finish the missions, Citadel DLC, Omega DLC and a small amount of miscellaneous - playing insanity I'm not sure I'll be able to steal an Atlus since they tend to die before the glass breaks, I'll keep trying but that might have to go onto the partial play 2 with the level 10 weapon upgrades. Great to see you in here too @TalesofGaming - Also I'm really happy to see @KazaneHime - is taking up the good fight against my absolute favourite Tales of' game in Symphonia. I'm very much looking forward to seeing your progress with that one. Also @Wild-Arms-R, I second that advice about Vesperia, that game just has quality in abundance - although pretty much any Tales of' title is a fairly good jumping in point, apart from maybe Zestiria and Symphonia (because for as much as I love Symphonia, the gameplay feels ancient these days) and well Zestiria isn't quite like any of the other titles in the series, but it's a little hard to easily define why without writing reams of text. Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress. Sorry, just noticed this. Added.

Both IX and X I got to the very end and didn't finish for whatever reason! I got a couple decent cards courtesy of hitting 100 jump ropes, but yeah the rest of my cards are ass. I'm dreading Treno for that very reason, I legit dislike this card game and it's so painfully obvious they were trying to replicate Triple Triad - even the music has the same vibe! In a weird way I'm looking forward to the Excalibur 2 run. No jumping rope, no cards, no 10,000 kills, just in and out?
