Just for future reference, most HOGs have been out for years on PC before coming to PSN, so you're bound to find a guide with screencaps for the collectables on Steam and a full walkthrough on Big Fish Games (which is the site many of them were first released on). Steam is a great resource for guides and the PC versions are usually nearly the same except for the controls. So don't think you have to avoid HOGs if you found the gameplay otherwise enjoyable. Popular Post damcrac5
Update 4: Completion #3 I know it wasn't ideal to use a trophy world to get a vast majority of these trophies but I had a personal reason behind it. I sometimes play a game to add it to my list because my list is kind of like a gaming history to me. For this game, it is the first video game that I've gotten to sit down and play with my son. I did have to order the physical copy of the original release in order to trick the system into letting me play the mini games for the DLC's 2 and 5, but in the end it was worth it and I look forward to many other memories being added to my list. Currently Working I am currently working both Kena: Bridge of Spirits and Sly Cooper: Thievius Racoonus offline. For Sly, I haven't let it update the trophy progress because I keep it in airplane mode to make sure I don't have to activate my game purchases. Hasn't happened in over a month, but it might be because I've been using airplane mode. For Kena, I've got my game at version 1.05 for now. For those who don't know, there is a way to essentially skip having to do a 2nd playthrough on the hardest difficulty. Apparently, the hardest difficulty is very hard, think Dark Soul's, kind of challenge, which I'm not confident I'd be able to get through. So for now, I've decided to play on the highest difficulty setting(that you can select on a first playthrough) to see how I feel about it, and will decide if I will use the exploit or not. Knowing the size of my backlog list here, and the fact I swapped Kena in for a Spyro game, a second playthrough for another 15 hours would really hurt my progress. It would be rewarding to play a difficult game and beat it, but for now, I'll reserve the right to press on, lol. Popular Post StilRh
Hi guys. Nice to see everyone getting on with their games. I cut my thumb and forefinger pretty nastily this week and it's made gaming a huge pain. I've spent most of my time trying to finish The Messenger but I can't seem to move fast or precise enough for the last few stages of the DLC with my thumb hurting. It's a fun and very humorous game (I love the shop keeper stories) but it's starting to out stay its welcome thanks to what I feel is a brutal difficulty spike. Deathloop and Tales of Arise are still fun. I'm slowly going through them without any guides (after checking for missables) and happy to take my time with these. Judgement, Kings Bounty 2, Labyrinth: Coven of Refrain and Age of Wonders: Planetfall have been my other games visited this week. Just keeping the pilot light on with a few hours to do side quests or the odd level. Regrettably I've had numerous crashes with Planetfall that have made me want to stop playing the last vanilla campaign missions... I'll likely get back to this in next week though. This week I hope to finish Messenger once and for all. Tidy up the campaign on Planetfall and dig in some of the other games. Have a great week everyone. Popular Post skeggah
Hiya! We haven't been making much progress on the challenge for this update. Instead we've been making progress on other games in our library. Buuuuut; Little Nightmares 2 I really love this game, but I have to say I enjoyed the first game more. Although, the creep-factor of the last level with all it offers is 5/5, just awesome! With this we are at 10/20 games completed and that is indeed the first milestone for this challenge! Knack 2 What can I say. Neither of us are enjoying this at the moment. Just finished chapter 4. This will probably be more work than pleasure. Overcooked This game will be played while drinking beer and having a good time. We finished all other iterations of these games, and this trophy list is honestly a cake walk compared to having to 3-star every level. In regards to Subnautica I have decided to wait a bit before deciding to use a swap or not. Play some of the other games first. Popular Post freddie1989
End of weekend update and its been a pretty good one. Finished up Worms Battlegrounds which was a combo of fun and frustrating. The ops missions weren't too bad with a bit of practice and the Alien DLC had its fun moments. Bodycount is basically a final chance to blow the shit out of everything with no chance of failure. Glad to get it done though. Jumped on Late Shift as well as a short one. Got that cleared off the list as well. Pleasantly good in truth. The fact it can be exploited in a playthrough and a half helps so it doesn't get stale. Next up is progress on Days Gone which im excited about. Maybe look to make a start on Need for Speed as well. Popular Post Bl4ckb1rd92
End of week update: Long hours for recovery week plus my van broke down (worst case scenario is the head gasket) so I wound up spending more time working on things in real life instead of getting a chance to really play. In the moments between how much this week sucked, I planned out small manageable goals for next week so that I can sit down and play for at least a little bit instead of trying to get submersed. Dark Souls II - started at 50% --> currently at 71% Spent a few hours plugging away at what used to be the DLCs. I'm adamant that I'm going to clean up as much as I can before moving on to NG+. Spyro 2 - started at 19% --> 06SEP2021 Control - 13% --> Haven't touched it, yet. Still haven't put together a plan for this one, but will do so after the next 100% completion. FFVII - 10% --> Still sitting just outside Midgar; this game made me breakdown trophy components to do a procedural checklist even more than DSII. needed a checklist for this one so I had set goals that take 30-60 minutes a piece and wouldn't pull my hair out trying to fit some fun time in while work is stressing me out. Berserk - started at 4% --> currently at 13% I think there's 7 missions left in story mode. I've been saving this for weekends so I can binge-slaughter. Does wonders for stress. I have no doubt that the four remaining games on my list will be complete before the end of the challenge. I'm currently going through my list of incomplete games that I've needed an excuse to go back and finish and trying to come up with a second set of five as diverse in genre and difficulty without just choosing sequels and games that are basically the exact same.

The game is fun as you would expect from a Skylanders game... on normal difficulty at least, because nightmare is no joke. I don't know how I would have been able to beat it without a Kaos Trap (and 20+ skylanders I threw at it). That thing is a must. F1 2021: I knocked out a couple of the more significant trophies and I am on my 3rd season. I got some misc trophies left to do and spending 50 hrs on track (I have 30+ hrs according to my stats but I'm not sure all modes are tracked). Reaching the platinum shouldn't take much more time. I'd say the first month has been pretty good for me. I made more progress than I thought I would. That's why I'm adding The Good Life to my list (too early to use a swap). We finally have a release date (Oct 15th) and I should get my digital copy then. Next up is to finish F1 2021 and then on to Metal Gear Solid 3 which I never played before, only the demo on PS2 so that should be fun. Once it's available, start up The Good Life and play Resident Evil 3 on Halloween (not necessarily finish it on that day). Alright everyone, keep up the good work and game on!
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
Update 6 - Judgment progress continues! Since my last update I have cleared all of the mini-game and gambling challenges apart from a couple of Paradise VR requirements and some Mahjong victories which feels great, because once i'm done with that, I can focus on all of the side-missions, friendship events, main story and some of the more miscellaneous challenges on thew way. I still need the 15 Mahjong victories though which i'm only half looking forward to, but I might clear a few main story chapters before I go back to do those. I planned on making some progress in Tales of Arise but I ended up spending most of my weekend playing in the Judgment Drone race league which I enjoyed way more than I thought and it's even made me want to play an actual racing game for some weird reason. All I have left now is to develop a few more drone parts to complete the drone lab requirements and that's done too. Still not a huge amount of trophy progress but it will likely happen more steadily now i'm done with alot of the time sink challenges. After that I really want to put some focus into Tales of Arise before Far Cry 6 arrives this month and consumes me. In other news, my in-person hangout with people went really well, but it was pretty overwhelming. Going from only seeing one or two people regularly since the pandemic to a group of 20 something was intense. I found it really difficult at first but it got easier as time went by. When I got home in the evening I was so exhausted I ended up sleeping for about 12 hours that night. So my pro-tip is, if you haven't had much exposure to people in larger groups since before the pandemic - take baby steps and do smaller gatherings over time. Don't do what I did and do a massive gathering for a long period of time. @StilRh - sorry to hear about your injury, not fun at all considering how necessary that area is needed to game. I started Dark Souls 3 for the first time since it released. Fall gets me in the mood for FromSoft games. I'm 50/50 on From games in these challenges. I got the Sekiro plat last year, but gave up on Bloodborne. I'll get them all eventually but for this challenge I'm aiming for DS3 and the PS3 Demon's Souls. Hopefully I'll finish DS3 this week, but it might take two more since I'm going slow. I'm also using my second swap. Stellaris is out and NieR Automata is in. I should know by now that sims and fighting games don't work for me in these challenges, but I keep trying. Oh well, that's why we've got swaps! I already played Automata on PC, but I want to get the plat before it leaves PS Now in a month or so. Should only take a week or two depending on how much I decide to use the trophy shop. This week I'm going to keep playing Dark Souls 3 as my main game, and keep chipping away at GT Sport and Rayman. If I don't get the DS3 plat I'll squeeze in Strider over the weekend just to get another game finished. I've also been slowly re-learning FFXIV so maybe I'll jump into the next dungeon on the MSQ this week when my tank skills are less rusty. I'd like to get a few big games done on my list before really committing though. Also gotta start planning out my October games. RE7 and Dead Space 2 are locks, just need to figure out a couple more. Popular Post damcrac5
Update 5: Completion #4 What a great game by Ember Lab. Looks amazing, and when played on an easier difficulty it feels great. Going to be upfront and say I held on to patch 1.005 and used the exploit for the master difficulty trophy. I played between the first and second boss on expert to give it a feel and it was a challenge. I understand master difficulty is a big step up from there, so I elected to save myself probably 20 hours and utilize the exploit. Hopefully they continue to refine the parry mechanics and make a legitimate run of the game on master difficulty a much more enjoyable experience. Great first game to Currently Working Going Vita and PS3 to close out the first month. I will hopefully finish Sly on Vita which would make 5 completions a good start for the challenge. I've enjoyed both of what I've played of these games. Now I just have to go get that platinum. I realized I made an error when calculating the number of games to put up for this challenge. The mistake I made, was when using the guides to determine how many I could potentially complete with 2 hours a day of gameplay(which I am a bit behind on already) I failed to calculate the time for DLC. So Horizon Zero Dawn will likely take 55-60 hours including DLC and New Game+. I don't mind that duration for what should be a great game, but it will likely mean I need to work in a swap to a lower playtime game to bring it back the potential of completing the list. I've already used 3 swaps, two of which have added to the time required to plat. I was looking to swap out my TellTale games for others, but those are low hour requirements so they'll likely stay. Having a great time so far. Hope to keep up the momentum! I was lucky enough to hold onto 1.005, however I completely understand not wanting the difficulty to ruin such a great game. I went ahead and used the exploit, but now I'm working on a master playthrough because I'm learning to enjoy the combat. Using different combination and approaches has left me satisfied with the combat. Of course, I have yet to reach the first boss, so we will see what I say then. Is a big commitment for a single trophy plus the plat. At least the game isn't super long.
Popular Post RoastedPeanut
Update #5 My last update for September and I must say I'm very happy to have platinumed three of my games this month. I grinded out the last of Senran Kagura and then moved on to One More Dungeon. Not a great game, One More Dungeon, but it wasn't toooooo painful. I don't think I'll even bother playing the PS4 version that came via cross-buy though. Moving on to October I think I'll go with SteamWorld Heist and Dragon Quest Builders (finally!). Keep going, everyone!! 1. Mary Skelter: Nightmares (Vita) - 100% (34/34) September 19 2. Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus (Vita) - 100% (49/49) September 27 3.
