starcrunch061
I do have a ps3 (two, in fact), but neither is the original, which kicked the bucket (too bad, as it was a BC model).
FIN-Olmi
Still got my original 60Gb model with replaced 1Tb HDD. Also have a backup PS3 slim in a closet which I "traded" my PS4 Pro for with my girlfriend after getting a PS5.
Squirlruler
My first PS3 was struck by lightning but it's replacement is still running strong.
Moridin83
My PS3 only sees occasional use these days, but it's an original 60gb fat purring along. I did upgrade the hd though.
viech54
Yes, I still have my original PS3 (120 GB slim) that I got in December 2009 and it's still working, but it has a problem playing current blu rays (movies and the like, game blu rays work just fine). But other than that, it works perfectly, didn't have to repair it at all so far. I don't use it much these days, but I played a game on it in December 2022. I still have a PS3 backlog and considered buying a spare PS3 with a 1TB HDD. Maybe I will this year just in case it stops working. samijon2004
Gladly Yes! don't remember the exact date but got mine somewhere near the end of 2011. As of January 22, 2023 its still working really good but the number of crashes have increased in the past 2 years.
JaSoNsLyRiC24
I just bought my first PS3, which is PS3 Slim from this guy that cleaned the inside and put in brand new components, along with a renewed warranty that he receives from sony in japan. plus a like new dualshock 3. So i'd say yeah, i've still got my first one. (The ones i played on before were either my mom's or my dad's, which my mom still has her original slim but my dad's original 60GB ps3 fried. However, he does now have a different one.)
Pexuwais
I had 2 PS3s, the first one I bought back in 2009, the FAT model, but it got damaged with the famous yellow light of death. My current PS3, I've had it since 2012 (I think), is a 250 GB Slim, and it's still functional to this day. I hope it stays functional for a long time, because PS3 has become my favorite console.
NightRaven77
I don't have my original. My fat 60gb died and was replaced by a 120gb slim. I do still have that one.
Floorkiller74
Yes, I have my original from 2011. It did completely stop synching trophies for about 2 years (2017-2018), but an update finally fixed the problem (I replaced the HDD during that time, and it did synch for a few days before stopping again). It's still slow, gets to @12% before failing, but it always synches with the servers when it hits 10%. I have a backup I bought in 2013, still fine. Popular Post DatZoolander
Only one is still working, and that is the 160 GB. Thinking of removing the 320 GB from the dead PS3 and putting it into the working one, but wonder if it is too much work.

Almost the exact same situation as me. Bought my 80 GB phat back in February 2009. Upgraded it to a 500 gb a couple years later. Still runs perfectly fine although Last of Us makes it sound like a jet about to take off.

Ozer928
Bought an ad of the original 60 gig fat model CECHE04 a couple of months ago. In working condition, slightly used, one of the best choices in terms of backward compatibility, though I'm worried about its durability as it's also one of the most prone pieces to break down. It's gotta be as clean as a baby's tummy and kept cold while turned on. Dunno what to do to have it through a maintenance process. Also have a 320 gig slim model for 12 years, had frequent times of rough uses but it's still in peak condition. Nevertheless, it needs to be cleaned up too. Biscoito18
No, my 2009 fat PS3 died in 2016 after some agonizing months where I could barely play anything for more than half a hour without it crashing hard. ?
