Can I choose both? I have no games where the plat is unobtainable. I was fortunate enough to realize early on that I liked the addition of trophies to games. I'm usually a 1 or 2 game at a time type p

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is still platable. Play the game in LAN settings. I just plated the game about 2 weeks ago.

Mercenaries World in Flames - Which sucks bc I completed all the online stuff before trophies were unlocked. i was the top 100 in the billionaires club and for the winching challenge....

Battlefield Bad Company

All MLB Show Games - these online requirements are ridic

All Madden Games as well

 

**NOTE** Most of my non-obtainable trophies are a result of not caring about trophies nor online gameplay back then...

I have no games where the plat is unobtainable. I was fortunate enough to realize early on that I liked the addition of trophies to games. I'm usually a 1 or 2 game at a time type person so playing a game until I got the plat kind of fit anyway. I do go into each game now with the intention of getting all trophies which includes the platinum. I also try to prioritize my backlog where I can start games with older servers so I don't screw myself out of a plat. There are too many great games out there that have attainable platinums for me to start one that's impossible now.

I can't plat Saint's Row 4 because I ran into a glitch that took away my dubstep gun, now I can't complete the challenges trophy without restarting everything. (which I'm not going to do because I disliked playing the game the first time)

None, I'm a very cautious with this kind of stuff. I don't want to end up having a game in my profile I will never be able to complete 100% for external factors beyond my possibilities.

I try to finish the online trophies as soon as I can, specially the older games in my collection.

It could have been about 3 but whenever I see that servers are about to go down for a game, I go and get the online trophies.

 

EDIT: Actually, 1 and it's a biggie. Mercenaries 2:World in Flames because I was never able to log in to the servers in the first place due to an error on EAs online agreement I believe.

Tchnically only 2 impossible:

Zen Pinball - the dlc is not available anymore

Army of 2 The 40th Day - Website to create a mask was taken down

however, these are practially impossible now without hacking:

Lost Planet 2 - get to #1 on a previously hacked leaderboard

Mortal Kombat - a month of leaving station on overnight? No thanks!

Singstar - servers closing soon, and no way im getting the onlines done before then

Guitar Hero 5 - empty servers

For me it's dirt 2, mlb 09 the show and yoostar 2 due to closed servers.

As for unobtainable platinums, for me ..

Singstar (can't be assed with the online requirements and boosting)

Just dance 3 (1 trophy left where you have to have 4 players get 5 stars on a single song, since my wife played this and I dance like a muppet and, the fact you need 4 move controllers, leaves this platinum unobtainable

Zumba (tedious online boosting on a game I don't give a fuck about can kiss my ass)

rockband 2 (something about playing for 7 to 8 hours straight for the endless setclist trophy turns me away

Rockband 3, (too expensive with the new instruments

Rockband beatles, green day. (simply too hard)

GuitarHero metallica (same as above)

I only have 2 on my list.

 

Lost Planet 2 - The servers are not closed but, the requirements for the plat are impossible IMO. There are hacked leaderboard times on a global non-resetting leaderboard where you are required to get the #1 position for a trophy.

 

Inversion - The servers are not closed for this one either. My issue is motivation to go back to the game and investing nearly 300 hours boosting.

If LP2 leaderboards were hacked , the WR times would be 1 sec each 

 

im gonna saythis once and only ONCE, ALL leaderboards except advanced 4-3 is legit, serveral training levels have been beat by 1 sec in 2014! (basic 4-5 beat by 4 sec) i know there are some ridiculous times (advanced x-2) ADVANCED 2-2 6.566 time is done by PLASMA GUN SP, advanced 1-2 & 5-2 is done by baloon grenades then kill yourself under the WR time so the timer stops.

 

i dont want to brag but i have beat 10 WORLD RECORDS in 2 months, imo a few of the records are too easy -_-

 

just youtube basic 1-1 on youtube and it shows you how its done, ps3 wr still .400 better tho LOL but he got lucky as hell.

We all hate it.  Closed servers.  I get it, it's expensive to maintain dead servers on old games, but can we stop attaching online trophies to platinum requirements already?

 

How many games do you have that you will never finish?

I was really into the sports genre at one point.   :(

 

That Active 2 haunts me lol. I had all of the online trophies except one easy one and tried to get it the night before server shut down. But I thought I had more time and when I couldn't get it the first time I went to bed. Lost it forever....I hate that effin' game now! I just thought it would be a cool plat I could exercise for :,(.
